It looks, at a glance, like every white-and-glass tropical tower from Rio de Janeiro to South Florida, but a second look reveals something startling about the new Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale, designed by Kobi Karp. It plows its way out of the oceanfront skyline here, its shape leaving no doubt as to its inspiration from the ships that dot the horizon. The feeling of being on a ship, or actually, of being anywhere other than Fort Lauderdale as you imagined it, is a central part of this truly fabulous new hotel’s experience which is the latest selection for our series on exciting new hotels, Room Key. When the hotel invited Beast Travel to visit, we asked for recommendations on social media as we’d never ventured here except to fly in and out en route to Miami. The responses were telling: “Just don’t go” or “Get in an Uber to Miami” were the gist of the replies. But then messages trickled in from locals or frequent visitors who swore that the city was actually a gem whose reputation is part of...

With this show specifically, they brought back some of the original cast – Alexia Echevarria, Lisa Hochstein, Larsa Pippen, Adriana, and Marysol Patton – but they also introduced fans to new faces to show that Miami, like the show, had evolved. That's how they brought...

Just how little did the New York Giants provide Daniel Jones with in his first two seasons in the NFL? Alexander Wilson June 2, 2021 ShareTweetFlipRedditThe New York Giants waited two years to give quarterback Daniel Jones the necessary weapons on offense to maximize his potential. In 2019, Jones entered the NFL as a ripe quarterback looking to take several developmental steps forward, and while he did show promise, he suffered significantly in the awareness and fumble category. While in the pocket, Jones often times found himself turning the ball over or running for his life due to a lack of protection from his front five. Jones finished his rookie season with 3,027 yards, 24 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 18 fumbles, and was sacked 38 times. Last year, he tallied 2,943 yards, 11 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and fumbled 11 times. From a purely statistical standpoint, Jones took a significant step backward, but if you watch the film and analyze the tape, you will see that his pocket awareness improved gradually over the course of...

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – The summer of 2020 was one of the worst wildfire seasons in Colorado history. The long-range forecast predicts Colorado will experience above-average temperatures and below-average precipitation from now until August. (credit: CBS) Gov. Jared Polis and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control unveiled a more proactive approach to wildfire control in their 2021 Preparedness Plan on Thursday.     “Since the 1970s, our fire seasons have expanded. They are over 78 days longer. We’re having fire years. They’re not fire seasons anymore,” said Mike Morgan, Director of Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control. “We have been hard at work preparing for 2021 and have developed a strategy that allows us to respond more effectively to Colorado’s growing wildfire seasons.”    Fire officials say early detection will play a critical role in wildfire management this season. The governor’s proposed budget includes a substantial investment in both wildfire mitigation and suppression. There is a time for everything. Also to take a break. Leave the hustle and bustle and go to the country. In the midst of nature, I have found a haven of peace and comforting work in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. I tell you how my days have been harvesting, socializing and caring for animals on my Nintendo Switch. I had never dared with a video game from the Story of Seasons saga (Harvest Moon for friends). Therefore, I cannot hide my surprise. Without being a big fan of these experiences, my first few hours have been quite satisfying. I have cut a lot of bushes, cut down a few trees, set up a farm with my first hen and I have even built a very comfortable little house with its relaxing shower. Without realizing it, several days have passed and I have seen how my life as a farmer it wasn’t as messy as i expected. So positive first impressions. Although it does not surprise me. Taking a little look at the past, I see that...

Pitchers and catchers show up no later than February 17, only two days out for the New York Yankees, yet there are still issues to face as the season opener approaches on April first. After a long wait to resign batting champ DJ LeMahieu, the Yankees have been super busy improving the team since then. Yet issues still exist. After losing three pitchers to free agency after the season, the Yankees finally addressed the issue by signing Corey Kluber, a two-time Cy Young award winner, and trading for starter Jameson Taillon from the Pittsburgh Pirates. With the pitching rotation pretty well patched together, there are still areas of concern. Who will follow ace Gerrit Cole, Corey Kluber, and Jameson Taillon? Right now, it appears to be Jordan Montgomery, leaving the fifth spot open to whoever pitches the best in spring training. Domingo German, Deivi Garcia, and Clarke Schmidt seem...
