Fox News aired a photoshopped photo of the judge who authorized the FBI’s raid on Donald Trump’s Florida mansion during Tucker Carlson Tonight on Thursday, which was being guest hosted by Brian Kilmeade at the time. “This is the judge in charge of the, of the, of the, um, as you know, of the warrant, and we’ll see if he’s going to release it next — he likes Oreos and whiskey,” Kilmeade said, appearing caught off guard after the photoshopped image appeared on-screen. The top US securities regulator is probing Melvin Capital Management's risk controls and investor disclosures after the hedge fund was decimated in last year's meme-stock frenzy, according to a new report. The Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating what Melvin founder Gabe Plotkin told investors after the fund lost $6.8 billion by betting against GameStop shares during the frenzy, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. Melvin had been one of Wall Street's most successful hedge funds prior to January 2021, when the fund suffered billions in losses in a battle of wills against an army of small investors on the Reddit forum WallStreetBets. WallStreetBet users considered Melvin their arch-nemesis for taking out massive short positions in their beloved GameStop, a type of trade that would earn the fund a profit if the struggling video game retailer's share price had fallen. Instead, small investors drove the stock to dizzying heights and inflicted billions in losses on Melvin, and Plotkin announced earlier this year that the fund would shutter. The Securities and Exchange Commission is reportedly investigating what Melvin founder Gabe Plotkin...

A roundup of wild horses in the Piceance-East Douglas, Colorado, is underway despite calls from Governor Jared Polis, Congressman Joe Neguse, In Defense of Animals, and other individuals and organizations to stop the operation. These pregnant mustangs and foals are forced to run for their lives amid heat waves, with temperatures soaring over 90 degrees. Source: CBS Colorado/Youtube According to In Defense of Animals (IDA), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) first scheduled the roundup for September but ended up using an “emergency” designation to speed up the operation that is now underway amid the hottest days of summer. These poor horses are being forced to run for miles into traps. As of July 25, 657 out of the goal of 1050 horses had been captured. BLM reportedly called for the emergency roundup because of the ‘poor conditions’ of horses. However, IDA says that facts, photos, and an independent ecological assessment of the Piceance East Douglas Herd Management Area show that the horses were healthy, in good condition, and had healthy foals. BLM says that the area in...

Unsealed court documents show Amber Heard walked away from a divorce payout from Johnny Depp that could have run to tens-of-millions of dollars, as the financially-challenged actress sells her beloved California home.   Documents seen by the Daily Beast show that the Aquaman star, 36, ignored guidance from her legal team not to pursue Depp for the maximum cash she was entitled to after they filed for divorce in 2016. She could have sought half Depp's $33 million he made filming the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, since it was made while they were married. But Heard chose not to, and wrote them an email saying she was being 'amazingly true to (her) word, that this is now about the money.' A judge refused to let that evidence be admitted during Depp's defamation lawsuit against Heard. She was ordered to pay Depp a total of $8.3 million after being found guilty of defamation, but says she doesn't have enough cash to do so.  Amber Heard appears to have sold a Southern California property for over a million dollars, just...

A female passenger has been awarded $10.2million by a federal court in Miami after she was forced into a closet and raped by a Carnival Cruise crew member. Her attacker, Fredy Anggara, has never even been arrested for the assault which took place on 2 December 2018. The woman, who was 21 at the time of the assault, had been travelling on the Carnival Miracle boat when she was sexually assaulted. A jury in the District Court for the Southern District of Florida found that Carnival was liable for damages to the plaintiff for false imprisonment and rape by Anggara. Court records show that Carnival was also found to not be negligent, and that Angara did not intentionally inflict emotional distress on the woman, referred to as Jane Doe. Doe, from Washington, filed a complaint against Carnival Cruise Line in November 2019, almost a year after the incident took place. The complaint did not name Anggara, from Indonesia, as a defendant in the lawsuit, with the incident taking place on the last night of the cruise. Carnival Cruise Line have...
Police officers in Pennsylvania were forced to shoot a man's 15-foot pet snake in the head after it wrapped itself around his throat and gave him a heart attack. Cops were called after the reptile violently attacked its owner, 28, in Fogelsville, southeastern Pennsylvania Wednesday afternoon. Paramedics, firefighters and police arrived at 2.12pm after a chilling dispatch simply stated: '28-year-old male with a snake wrapped around his neck.' Responders could scarcely believe what they saw, according to Upper Macungie Township lieutenant Peter Nickischer. He said: 'I heard part of that dispatch go out, and I had actually reached out to the chief and said: "What was that dispatch?" Upper Macungie Township police Lt Peter Nickischer said the officer 'did what he had to do' 'I think one of the officers described it as a scene from a horror movie and that's probably the most appropriate way to describe it', he told 6ABC. At first cops tried to cut the snake off the man's neck with a knife. But struggling to do so - and running out of time - an officer stepped...
The White House press office was forced to point out that President Joe Biden does not have cancer after a Wednesday speech in Massachusetts triggered a slew of questions about whether he had just made a major health announcement. No, said a key aide, pointing out that the president was referring to a diagnosis long before he took up residence in the White House. It is just the latest example of aides playing clean-up for the gaffe-prone 79-year-old.  This time it came after Biden delivered a major climate speech and discussed the impact of emissions from oil refineries near his home in Delaware.  'You'd have to put on your windshield wipers to get literally the oil slick off the window,' he said. 'That's why I — and so damn many other people I grew up with — have cancer and why for the longest time Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation.' The White House was forced to clarify President Joe Biden's comments in a climate speech on Wednesday, when he appeared to say he has cancer A White...
Dave Chappelle is currently performing in Minnesota but photography inside is not allowed (he is sown in October 2019) Dave Chappelle laughed off the fiasco that forced a Minneapolis venue to cancel him at the 11th hour last night in surrender to a woke mob, calling his critics a 'small group of transgender lunatics' and slamming the venue for not having more 'courage'.  Chappelle, 48, had been slated to play a sold-out show at First Avenue, a venue in Minneapolis. Tickets started at $129.50 and the venue had sold 1,500 - bringing in nearly $200,000 of sales, of which they would have taken a handsome slice.  But hours before the show, First Avenue announced it was no longer willing to host. Their about-turn came as the result of a Change.org petition signed by 125 people who complained Chappelle was transphobic, and staff members who refused to turn up to the man the event.  It was quickly moved to the nearby Varsity Theater and went ahead uninterrupted. During the show, Chappelle said he was disappointed that First Avenue hadn't shown more...

An Indiana doctor who performed an abortion on a 10-year-old Ohio girl, has filed a claim for damages against Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita saying that he smeared her as an activist and falsely stated that she failed to report the procedure.  Attorneys for Dr. Caitlin Bernard sent the notice to Rokita on Tuesday seeking damages for security costs, legal fees, reputational harm, and emotional distress.  Dr. Bernard helped the child obtain the abortion last month after reporting the procedure to relevant state agencies before the legally mandated deadline. But last week, Indiana AG Todd Rokita questioned whether she had reported the procedure to state officials, bragging that he was 'gathering evidence' to see if the doctor could face 'a criminal charge.' However, he did not provide evidence to back up his claims.  Rokita has 90 days to investigate or settle the claim. After that period of time, Bernard can then file a defamation lawsuit. China is using artificial intelligence to 'improve' its court system by recommending laws, drafting documents and alerting 'perceived human errors' in rulings. Judges must now consult the AI on every case by law, Beijing's Supreme Court said in an update on the system published this week, and if they go against its recommendation they must submit a written explanation for why. The AI has also been connected to police databases and China's Orwellian social credit system, handing it the power to punish people - for example by automatically putting a thief's property up for sale online. Beijing has hailed the new technology for making 'a significant contribution to the judicial advancement of human civilisation' - while critics say it risks creating a world in which man is ruled by machine. DAVID DE GEA has dealt Manchester United a big injury scare after he walked straight down the tunnel during United's game against Liverpool. However, United are now waiting to see what damage could have been dealt to De Gea after he signalled the bench to take him off. Twitter looks well positioned to win a court battle with Elon Musk for a $1 billion breakup fee after he backed out of a $44 billion Twitter deal, a move that experts say is 'legally wrong,' and that if he is forced to buy the company, it will 'die slowly and painfully.' Musk, 51, who is the world's richest man, announced he was walking away from the highly publicized deal on Friday. The entire saga has left observers baffled by what Wedbush analyst Dan Ives described as 'one of the craziest business stories ever.' 'I think it starts off as a circus show and it's ending as a circus show,' Ives told AFP.  Musk agreed to a $1 billion breakup fee as part of the buyout agreement, although it appears Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and the company are settling in for a legal fight to force the sale. 'For Twitter this fiasco is a nightmare scenario,' Ives said, comparing the battle to an 'Everest-like uphill climb' or a 'Games of Thrones' battle.  Musk has accused the social media giant of 'false and...

A retired couple are being sued by their homeowners' association for feeding neighborhood ducks after residents complained that they were causing a nuisance. Kathleen Rowe, 65, and her husband George are now facing losing their $439,900 home in Cypress, Texas, because of the lawsuit. They moved into the home after the death of their only child and found feeding the ducks was a therapeutic way of dealing with the loss of their adult daughter. Kathleen cares for her 72-year-old husband, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, and the couple have lived in the area for eleven years. But the couple are now being forced to sell their home to pay legal fees and potential damages after the Lakeland Community Homeowners Associated launched a bid to stop them feeding the birds. The HOA filed the suit in June, claiming that they had enough of the Rowes feeding the ducks despite 'repeated warnings' for them to stop. The suit, filed in Harris County Civil Court, is asking a judge for a 'permanent mandatory injunction requiring Defendants to cease from feeding any wildlife' in...
Salon published an article in June 2021 titled: "DeSantis signs bill requiring Florida students, professors to register political views with state." However, Salon has also walked back its claims against the Republican governor of Florida. The claim was so outlandish that even left-leaning CNN issued a fact-check on the issue. CNN issued a significant clarification: "The 2021 law does require public colleges and universities in Florida to administer annual surveys on the subject of "'intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity.' But contrary to the inaccurate initial Salon headline, the law does not require anybody to register their political views. Students and faculty members can decide whether to participate in the surveys, which are anonymous."Salon altered its headline to: "DeSantis signs bill requiring survey of Florida students, professors on their political views." Salon executive editor Andrew O'Hehir told CNN that the progressive media outlet revised the headline because it conveyed a "misleading impression of what the Florida law actually said, and did not live up to our editorial standards." The misinformation regarding DeSantis was reportedly spread by prominent left-wing...

Eastman claimed that officers 'forced' him to unlock his iPhone 12 Pro and accessed his email accounts, in a court filing first reported by CNN. Half a dozen agents reportedly confronted the right-wing attorney in New Mexico as he was leaving a restaurant with his wife and another person on Wednesday evening last week. The filing also suggests authorities had a warrant to take Eastman's electronic devices.  Eastman 'was forced to provide biometric data to open said phone' and 'was not provided a copy of the warrant until after his phone was seized, and even then, he was only given a copy of the search warrant but not the supporting affidavit referenced in it,' it states. He's now demanding that a New Mexico court force the federal government to return his property, in addition to destroying the records it obtained and barring further access. It's the newest in...
