Former Trump White House communications director Alyssah Farah said Wednesday that she knows of former Trump staffers who have been contacted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and are willing to cooperate in a criminal probe into the January 6 attack and Trump's actions. The Washington Post first reported that the DOJ is now looking into Trump's response leading up to and during the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.  'I am aware of other White House officials who have been reached out to by DOJ and are planning to cooperate,' Farah said on CNN's New Day.  Hinting at who that might be, she said: 'I think you could piece it together based on who has testified before the January 6th committee.' Former deputy communications director Sarah Matthews and Matthew Pottinger, a member of the National Security Council, testified at the committee's last hearing on July 19. Their deposition came after bombshell testimony from former aide to White House chief of staff Mike Pence, Cassidy Hutchinson, about Trump throwing plates of food against the wall and lunging for the steering wheel when...
The Department of Justice is investigating former President Donald Trump's actions as part of its criminal probe on the January 6 Capitol attack, The Washington Post reported Tuesday evening.  Sources told the paper that federal prosecutors have interviewed witnesses before a grand jury and asked them about conversations between Trump, his lawyers and members of his inner circle regarding a plot to replace Electoral College members with pro-Trump alternate electors.  Prosecutors have asked detailed questions about meetings Trump held in December 2020 and January 2021, gathering information on his pressure campaign on Vice President Mike Pence, and what instructions - if any - Trump gave his team about the fake electors scheme.  The Department of Justice is investigating former President Donald Trump's actions as part of its criminal probe on the January 6, The Washington Post reported Tuesday evening
President Joe Biden's claim that a 10-year-old rape victim was forced to travel across state lines to get an abortion after last month's Roe Vs. Wade ruling has come into question, after a Washington Post fact-checker found the story to be largely unsubstantiated. It has also emerged that the doctor who first shared the yarn is a prominent abortion advocate - placing further doubt on its credibility. The one-source story was provided to an Indiana news outlet by Indianapolis obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Caitlin Bernard, who said a child abuse doctor in Ohio contacted her about the case seeking aid from the doctor.  The account asserts the unnamed girl, who lives in Ohio, was forced to seek an abortion in Indiana after her home state barred abortion following the decision. The dramatic anecdote has been widely shared since - primarily as a talking point by the left to lambaste last month's ruling. On Friday, the president himself referenced the story, using it to help push an executive order that would protect abortions in the wake of the decision - spurring the Post journalist to eventually weigh...
It is a cruel irony that in its death throes America's legacy print media – some of the nation's oldest and most revered publications – have been taken over by some of the most the immature forces in our country today. As a generalization, the ranks of our most established newspapers are occupied by people who attended Ivy League schools, which is not a knock on anyone (I attended an Ivy League institution). But unfortunately, an elite education has become a hallmark of the disconnect between the media and the rest of the country. These are people who think that violence isn't violence when it is done in the name of the causes they support, like the burning and looting of major cities after the murder of George Floyd. These are people who believe words are, in fact, violence and there is nothing more violent than thoughts, jokes and ideas with which they disagree. On Monday, the Washington Post provided an example of how low our prized institutions have sunk (or been pulled). The Post reportedly suspended political journalist Dave...

This is the harrowing moment a professional cyclist wins a sprint finish - only to smash into his wife seconds later as she took photos of him crossing the line first. The residents of a Long Island town say they're growing tired of a new influx of post-pandemic influx of tourists that have disturbed their once peaceful village.  North Fork, known as Long Island's Wine Country, has become a tourist hotspot with its over 60 vineyards, multiple breweries and distilleries, and private fly fishing ranches. But following the pandemic, parts of the peninsula such as Greenport, Southold, Mattituck and Cutchogue, have drawn in a huge influx of rowdy tourists that have taken over the once quaint town with their hard partying.  According to residents, so-called 'cityiots' have barged into town, loudly partying in their Airbnbs, getting wasted at local vineyards and causing heavy traffic when they extend their stays at local mansions, the New York Post reported.  Although the idyllic location has long been a popular getaway spot, in recent years residents say it has attracted a larger, younger crowd who have overstayed their welcome.  Claudio's waterfront restaurant located in Greenport is a tourist hotspot during the summer  The post-pandemic boom also affected the Hamptons, (above, partiers at The Boardy Barn in Hampton...
Former President Donald Trump offered his own commentary on the blockbuster Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard trial on Tuesday, sarcastically saying they seemed like a 'lovely couple' after weeks of accusations of domestic abuse on both sides, Depp has claimed she threw a vodka bottle at him in early 2015, severing one of his fingers, and that she once defecated on his side of the bed, an allegation she denied (saying her dog was responsible).  Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 36, for defamation after she wrote an opinion piece for The Washington Post referring to herself as a 'public figure representing domestic abuse.' The result has been day after day of tabloid fodder as the two actors battle it out in a Virginia courtroom.      'Has anybody been watching the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial? What a lovely couple,' said Trump on his Truth Social media platform, before slighting the Washington Post with an aside. 'First of all, Johnny sued her for writing an article in a tiny “outlet,” that practically nobody read, because he didn’t want to get bad publicity. How...

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) stated that “what we’re seeing is it’s literally an open border. It’s an open border.” And that the Biden administration’s metric for handling the situation post-Title 42 is “how do we move the migrants faster from the border to the interior? And I don’t think that’s a plan,” and that the post-Title 42 increase in people coming across the border will result in “a situation where Border Patrol is going to continue to be overwhelmed.” Cuellar said he’s seen “parts of” the Biden administration’s post-Title 42 plan, and “part of it means that they want to bring officers from the northern part over to the southern area. And you know Neil, that that’s going to be just something that’s going to be temporary. And the metric that I think they’re looking at is, how do we move the migrants faster from the border to the interior? And I don’t think that’s a plan, with all due respect. And this is why there [are] other Democrat senators and...

New majority Twitter shareholder Elon Musk issued a poll to his millions of followers on the social media platform Saturday, sarcastically asking if he should transform the company's Silicon Valley headquarters into a homeless shelter.  In the post, Musk - who purchased a 9.2 percent stake in the social media giant earlier this week and was subsequently named to the company's board of directors - seemingly took aim at the company's lax remote working policies, saying he came up with the plan 'since no one shows up anyway.' So far, the results of the 24-hour poll, posted at 9:30 PM ET by the billionaire businessman, suggests overwhelming support for the prospective undertaking - with 91.8 percent of more than 523,114 respondents voting in favor of the plan within two hours of its posting.   The post from the outspoken Tesla CEO, known for his social media antics, comes weeks after Twitter brass - who offered staffers the option of working from home 'forever' during the pandemic -  reopened its offices March 15, with remote work remaining an option for staffers. A pair of art-loving elderly women were identified by police in Washington, D.C., as the two victims who died when an elderly man lost control of his gray SUV, went off the road and plowed into an outdoor dining area on Friday. The father of a reporter shot dead by a disgruntled ex-colleague during a live broadcast is trying to turn the clip into a non-fungible token (NFT) as a Hail Mary effort to remove it from the internet. Andy Parker, whose 24-year-old daughter Alison Parker was killed in 2015, has taken multiple approaches to scrub the video from social media sites such as Facebook and YouTube, where it has garnered thousands of views and is still being shared six years later. He hopes claiming ownership of the video as an NFT will potentially give him more power against big tech companies allowing the video’s circulation, calling the move an ‘act of desperation’ when he exhausted most other methods, he told the Washington Post. The 17-second clip, filmed by Alison Parker’s cameraman Adam Ward, 27, began with a light-hearted segment for local Virginia station WDBJ-TV that turned deadly when former co-worker Vester Lee Flanagan II, 41, shot them dead and went on the run before committing suicide. The first vote was for a female competitor and the majority of the house voted for Amanda Garcia. She ended up calling out Tori Deal, saying in her interview that she didn’t want to name any of her friends. Washington Football Team owner Dan Snyder reportedly attempted to interfere with the NFL's investigation into sexual harassment and hostile workplace claims against the club with the help of attorneys, private investigators, and an attempt to bribe a woman who accused the billionaire of sexual misconduct in 2009. As reported by the Washington Post, Snyder sought to prevent former employees from speaking to independent investigator Beth Wilkinson, a prominent attorney who was originally hired by the Washington Football Team (WFT) in 2020 to investigate the hostile workplace allegations against the club. The NFL took control of the investigation in 2020 and Wilkinson began reporting to commissioner Roger Goodell's office until July of 2021, when the probe was concluded, the team was fined $10 million, and Snyder temporarily stepped away from day-to-day control of the franchise. Planeloads of underage migrants are being flown secretly into suburban New York in an effort by President Biden’s administration to quietly resettle them across the region, The Post has learned. The charter flights originate in Texas, where the ongoing border crisis has overwhelmed local immigration officials, and have been underway since at least August, according to sources familiar with the matter. Last week, The Post saw two planes land at the Westchester County Airport, where most of the passengers who got off appeared to be children and teens, with a small portion appearing to be men in their 20s. Wisconsin’s basketball team has been shown major disrespect in some preseason rankings for next season. Saturday Tradition released its “way-too-early” predictions for the B1G’s upcoming basketball season, and the Badgers were slotted at 11th! (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) Yes, you read that correctly. The Badgers are ranked as the 11th best team in the Big 10 heading into next season.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Wisconsin Basketball (@badgermbb) This is absurdly insulting, and it’s just downright incorrect. The 11th best team in the B1G? That has to be a joke, right? If we don’t finish in the top half of the Big 10 next season, Greg Gard’s seat is going to be scorching hot. We finish 11th, and I have no idea what will happen with him. Fans simply aren’t going to tolerate that.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Wisconsin Basketball (@badgermbb) Yes, we’re going to be young after so many seniors left, but Tyler Wahl and Jonathan Davis...
In 2022, Villeurbanne will be “the” French capital of culture. For the first year of existence of this label, the Rhone municipality has beaten the pawn against nine other cities in competition, including Brest, Sète, Metz, Laval or even Grand Angoulême. Its title will then be put into play every two years, with regard to a city or a group of municipalities of 20,000 to 200,000 inhabitants, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. Beyond the honorary title, an endowment of one million euros is planned to support the winner in his cultural actions. “First of the second largest cities in France” as she likes to call herself, Villeurbanne has chosen youth as the strength and target of its urban cultural project. “The City intends to reconnect with its tradition of popular education and innovate in its artistic and cultural education actions. For this, it intends to rely on its little-known heritage, its associative forces as well as on the major cultural institutions and university resources present in its territory “, commented the Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot,...
