Getty Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics. This has been a fairly up-and-down offseason for the Boston Celtics in terms of activity. On the first night of free agency, when every other team was making things happen, the Celtics stayed quiet. But then, they exploded, signing Danilo Gallinari and trading for Malcolm Brogdon. Then, as the weeks dragged on, nothing happened. Summer League came and went, and there was no action on the Celtics front. That’s when the news came that Boston could be interested in trading for Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, using Jaylen Brown as the potential centerpiece of the deal. During a recent interview on the Celtics Lab podcast, Jayson Tatum spoke with host Justin Quinn about how he personally deals with trade rumors. The Celtics star said that he’s used to it by now, and that the people who start rumors usually only want to make noise and create speculation. “It’s just the world we live in, right? It always comes from an anonymous source,” Tatum told Quinn. “But it always makes ESPN or...

A United States Air Force senior sergeant checks pallets of ammunition for transport aboard a C17 Globemaster on the flight line at Marsh Air Reserve Base, California. The fog of war is thick, and propaganda muddies it further. The Ukrainian government isn’t immune. For example, the Ukrainian government is saying this:  Ukraine has now almost completely run out of ammunition for the Soviet-era weapons systems that were the mainstay of its arsenal, and the Eastern European countries that maintained the same systems have run out of surplus supplies to donate, Danylyuk said. Ukraine urgently needs to shift to longer-range and more sophisticated Western systems, but those have only recently been committed, and in insufficient quantities to match Russia’s immense firepower, he said. But the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is also saying this:  To this date, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has ensured the supply of 150 artillery platforms of 155 mm caliber to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The stockpiles of ammunition of this caliber are already 10% larger than the stockpiles of Soviet-type large-caliber shells that existed before 24 February 2022....

Their first date was in the park in 2020 and then they went to a baseball game, Abraham told TMZ. Lovat slid into her DMs and they’ve kept in contact since, but only as friends, she told TMZ. Abraham maintained that she is single, happy, and thriving. “For the record, I’m happily single, I’m dating again & I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life,” she wrote on Instagram stories. “No one meets my child unless I wanna make a baby again one day. Comedian Chris Rock tore into Amber Heard after a witness at her defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp testified that she admitted to defecting in a bed she and Depp shared. During a set in London on Thursday evening, Rock, 57, joked that we should believe all women, except those who defecate in beds like Amber Heard, 36.        'Believe all women, believe all women except Amber Heard,' Rock joked. 'What the f*** is she on? She s*** in his bed! She's fine, but she's not s***ting fine. He may have fired hundreds of his workers in a monotone Zoom speech, called his employees “dumb dolphins,” and allegedly brought a miniature ax to the office to joke about a separate round of layoffs. But now Better.com CEO Vishal Garg is ready to motivate his steadily shrinking workforce, and he’s channeling Teddy Roosevelt to do it. “I believe in us. I believe in you. I believe in our mission…And I believe that we are the only people on this planet who will do everything needed to make homeownership better, faster, cheaper,” Garg wrote in an email to staffers this week, a copy of which The Daily Beast obtained. The catalyst for his newfound gusto? On Thursday Fortune published an article noting that Garg was personally on the hook for “uncapped” losses that SoftBank may realize as part of a $1.5 billion deal made last fall. The Daily Beast had previously reported on elements of the agreement. That deal looks increasingly shaky. Better has since suffered round after round of layoffs, and its public image suffered a massive toll following...
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (CBS) — Providence Police believe a serial rapist tried to attack another woman Thursday night, but was not successful because an alert college student listened to the advice of her school and police. Jill Miele, a Johnson and Wales University student from Wilmington, says she knew about the serial rapist who police say attacked two women just this week. Obama adviser David Axelrod said Friday that American's 'don't believe' the White House's branding of high prices at the pump as 'Putin's price hike.' '[Biden] was saying, you know, everything is Putin’s price hikes. Inflation is Putin's fault. People don’t believe that either,' Axelrod said on his podcast with GOP consultant Mike Murphy and former Obama press secretary Robert Gibbs, Hacks on Tap.  'They know that we had inflation before this. They know that gas prices were high before this so they haven't dialed this in quite right. You can't blame everything in the economy on Putin,' he said.  'Why not just be blunt with people,' the Obama staffer added.  Meanwhile, Republicans accused the White House of trying to 'gaslight' Americans by trying to blame the massive price spike on Russia invading Ukraine, without acknowledging that prices were already on the rise.  'The president is literally gaslighting the American people,' Iowa Senator Joni Ernst said at the Capitol on Tuesday.  'He feels that if he says it enough, people are going to believe that fuel prices were Putin's fault. We know...
On Wednesday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the U.S. has hit Russia “hard” with sanctions, he has reason to believe Russia will be engaging in something similar to a full invasion of Ukraine before the end of the night, and “everything is in place for Russia to move forward.” Host Lester Holt asked, “Do you have reason to believe that, before this night is over, Russian forces will be engaged in something akin to a full invasion of Ukraine?” Blinken answered, “I do. Unfortunately, Russia has positioned its forces at the final point of readiness across Ukraine’s borders, to the north, to the east, to the south. Everything seems to be in place for Russia to engage in a major aggression against Ukraine.” Blinken added that he “can’t put a date or an exact time on it, but everything is in place for Russia to move forward.” Holt then asked about the failure of the first round of sanctions to deter Putin, the appearance that further sanctions won’t deter Putin either, and whether...
By Michael Hurley, CBS Boston BOSTON (CBS) — I can’t believe how bad Patrick Mahomes was. I cannot believe how inconceivably putrid, how shockingly abysmal Patrick Mahomes was with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. It was just so unnecessary. Just be normal. Just play the way you normally play. Stay within yourself, be a normal quarterback, and you’re going to the Super Bowl. Yet instead of taking what the defense gave him, Mahomes was frenetic in the pocket. He created a pass rush by standing still and/or running in circles, looking like someone who simply had no idea what he was doing. He got a second chance after throwing what should have been a pick-six in overtime. He threw an actual pick on the very next play. He faced a first-and-goal from the Cincinnati 1-yard line before halftime and didn’t get any points. He faced a first-and-goal at the Cincinnati 5-yard line at the end of regulation; he lost 20 yards on sacks and would have lost the game right there if not for Joe Thuney’s outstanding fumble recovery....
Ketlen Vieira believes her recent setbacks have made her stronger ahead of first main event slot against Miesha Tate at UFC Vegas 43.  After securing victories in each of her first four UFC appearances, Brazil’s Vieira dropped two of her next three fights — losing to Yana Kunitskaya in her previous outing. Vieira is slated to face a former Strikeforce and UFC women’s bantamweight champ in Tate. The 30-year-old asserts that she’ll fight for the belt one day and that her prior speedbumps have made her a better fighter. “Everything made me stronger,” Vieira said in her media day interview through a translator. “I believe that a great champion needs to go through a tough path to become stronger at that’s what happened to me. I believe in God. I believe he knows everything and what needs to happen. Everything I’ve been through just made me stronger.” Vieira went 10 fights before losing to Irene Aldana at UFC 245. Sitting at No. 7 heading into this fight in a division desperate for new contenders, Vieira isn’t far off from earning...

The Law of Abundance states that there is enough money, food, opportunity, love, compassion, wellness, and light for all of us. All you have to do is believe in it. If you tell yourself that life is abundant, you will begin to experience abundance and see it in humanity. Shifting your perception to see the world as full and limitless will help you manifest your goals. If you believe that, in the universe, there exists a cure to a certain illness, you will actively seek out that cure and devote time to discovering it. On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Evening Edit,” Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) stated that the treatment of Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) shows that “progressive intolerance” is now being turned on members of their own party. Smith said, “Liz, let’s just be honest, for the last four years, we’ve seen these progressives being so intolerant, protesting everything that Donald Trump did because they disagreed with his ideas. And you’re seeing the same progressive intolerance with their own members of their own Democrat Party. The progressives believe in diversity of everything but ideas. Because if you don’t agree with them, they’re going to be intolerant, and that’s what they’re doing to Sen. Sinema and Sen. Manchin. It’s such a joke.” Follow Ian Hanchett on Twitter @IanHanchett

Ben Domenech began his opening monologue on Wednesday’s edition of Fox News Primetime by claiming that “woke socialist progressives” hate the Constitution, Donald Trump, Fox News, comedy, and – “more than anything else” – babies. He also referred to abortion as “industrialized murder.” Without pointing to any leftists in particular who allegedly said they hate babies, Domenech talked for more than seven minutes using this premise. At one point he said that “the left just doesn’t take their problems out on America’s kids, their problem seems to be that there are American kids at all.” “Radical environmentalists regard children as enemies of the climate,” he said. “Corporate elites see babies as expensive competitors for the time, attention, and creativity of professional women which they apparently feel should belong exclusively to them.” Domenech also claimed, “Progressives hate babies because they’re crying, drooling, pooping refutations of everything woke leftists believe. Boys and girls are the answer to the left’s every argument and the antidote to their every poisonous lie.” He added: Families are the ultimate source of meaning and happiness in society....
McConnell at the White House, declaring that he's not going to give an inch to President Biden. When Sen. Mitch McConnell says he is "100 percent" focused "on stopping" any initiative from President Joe Biden, he should be believed. When he says that he's got his entire conference behind him—"What we have in the United States Senate is totally unity from Susan Collins to Ted Cruz in opposition to what the new Biden administration is trying to do to this country"—believe that, too. And when some anonymous Republican claims, "Republicans did increase their offer and have been working in good faith with the White House" on infrastructure, you can definitely know that they are lying. Because they won't buck McConnell. From Collins to Cruz, they share a commitment to block Biden and block the Democrats from succeeding. Capitol Hill reporter Jamie Dupree notes that the Republicans still have not submitted a full offer to the White House, though they may have increased the top line for a package they'll never vote for to $700 billion, paid for by diverting COVID-19 relief...

New York Giants: Daniel Jones called “everything we want” by Dave Gettleman By: Cay North March 9, 2021 ShareTweetFlipRedditIn case you didn’t believe the New York Giants were committed to Daniel Jones going forward, GM Dave Gettleman would confirm that once again while speaking on Tuesday. The Giants have expressed that Jones is their future multiple times, but since this is the offseason when roster moves are being made, it needed to be said one more time. And if you believe Gettleman here, there’s really no chance we end up with a different QB anytime soon. Gettleman claims there’s no need to look at QBs “We’ve done the evaluation on him and we really believe he’s the guy. No reason to go look,” Gettleman said, denying that the Giants might look at free agent quarterbacks. “What we’re doing isn’t fantasy football, we’re not playing, we’re not doing that. We’ve got a conviction on him, he’s everything we want, he’s got all the physical skills and again I say this all the time, the...

When restaurants were ordered to close to in-house customers last March, some never reopened. Wendell's, a breakfast eatery at 3838 Tennyson Street, was one of them. But rather than completely scrapping the diner, co-founder Kade Gianinetti sold it to new owners, who reopened Wendell's the last week of September. "We first looked at it on May 28, and we loved everything about it," says Casey Keller, who purchased Wendell's with her husband, Roy Benoit. Michael Caputo — who, earlier this week, took medical leave from his post as Health and Human Services spokesman — is admitting that his stunning Facebook Live tirade in which he accused CDC scientists of “sedition” and predicted he would be killed was “inappropriate.” Nonetheless, he is standing behind his remarks. In an interview on Buffalo-based news talk radio station WBEN, Caputo described meeting with his staffers and expressing his remorse for the comments, while simultaneously doubling down. “I said ‘Listen, you keep going and saving lives. I just wanted to apologize to you,'” Caputo said. “Even though I believe everything I said and I will stand by it, and the president stands by what I said … It’s inappropriate for me to be doing that.” In the video, Caputo baselessly claimed that scientists from the CDC formed a “resistance unit” for “sedition” against President Donald Trump. He further claimed those scientists and Democrats have been sabotaging the coronavirus response, and he added that he believes he will be killed. Whether it’s the Buffalo News or the New York...

And the licence-payer for once gets what they want. An evening of enjoyable, uplifting patriotism. The BBC holds Middle England in utter contempt – and has done so for a long while. It cannot tolerate anything which doesn’t fit into its woke agenda. And it’s why support for the BBC diminishes daily. It has lost touch with the values of the people who pay for its existence. Former Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) roiled the veepstakes when he reportedly said California Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) fell a notch because she didn’t “show remorse” for her debate exchange with former Vice President Joe Biden. But now the Biden campaign is responding, telling Fox News, “Don’t believe everything you read,” and that Biden still thinks very highly of Harris. On Monday, Politico published a report in which Dodd, a leader on the task force vetting Biden’s VP candidates, allegedly slammed Harris over her confrontation with Biden at a debate last June: When former Sen. Chris Dodd, a member of Joe Biden’s vice presidential search committee, recently asked Kamala Harris about her ambush on Biden in the first Democratic debate, Dodd was stunned by her response. “She laughed and said, ‘that’s politics.’ She had no remorse,” Dodd told a longtime Biden supporter and donor, who relayed the exchange to POLITICO on condition of anonymity. “Dodd felt it was a gimmick, that it was cheap,” the donor said. The person added that Dodd’s concerns about Harris were so deep that he’s...
Joe Biden's deputy campaign manager, Kate Bedingfield, has denied a Politico report that indicated Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., is losing ground as a potential running mate for the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. "I would say to that story don't believe everything that you read," Bedingfield told "The Story" host Martha MacCallum Monday. "Don't believe everything that you read in Politico," Biden pledged in March to choose a female running mate. Recent unrest and protests over police brutality and racial discrimination have led many political observers to predict Biden will pick a woman of color, such as Harris, Rep. Val Demings, D-Fla., a former Orlando police chief, or former National Security Adviser Susan Rice. According to the report, former Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd -- a key member of Biden's vice presidential search committee -- recently asked Harris about her strategy to confront Biden in a Democratic debate last summer over his opposition to desegregation busing in the 1970s. According to Dodd, Harris' response was to laugh about the heated moment and say, "That's politics." CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP "She had no remorse," a longtime...

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and one of the top medical experts on the White House coronavirus task force, assured the public that he could be trusted, even after a White House adviser ripped his record in a USA Today opinion piece. Fauci told NBC News that the public should continue to trust medical experts to avoid becoming confused by seemingly mixed messages on how to respond to COVID-19. "It's difficult to give you a definitive answer except that, for the most part—I believe, for the most part—you can trust respected medical authorities," Fauci said. "I believe I'm one of them, so I think you can trust me. But I would stick with respected medical authorities who have a track record of telling the truth, who have a track record of giving information and recommendations and policies based on scientific evidence and good data. So if I were to give advice to you and your family and your friends of your family, I would say that's the safest bet to do,...
The following is satirical.  Leftist radicals have released a new manifesto, declaring their righteous purposes in destroying everything and terrorizing everybody. In a statement painted in make-believe blood on the wall of an immigrant’s shop, the radicals selflessly set aside the important business of their day, which was painting on the walls of other shops, in order to make known the beautiful future that awaits the smoldering ruin of the country. The statement reads: “We of the Resistance demand that nobody puts up any resistance so we can continue to be the resistance without meeting any resistance. “We are dedicated to pushing forward a socialist agenda by gaining support from the CEO’s of multi-billion-dollar international corporations who make an absolute fortune putting out books and movies and statements in support of our agenda while they sit on their yachts waiting for us to become homeless and die. “We radicals demand inclusiveness by excluding anyone who is not like us and seek diversity by ensuring that everyone thinks the same thing, and demand freedom by forcing everyone to agree with everything...
