RICHMOND — A couple arrested last week in the beating death of their infant son has been charged with not only murdering him but abusing one of their other children, court records show. Ray Ray Darn, 35, Marilyn Northington, 28, were charged Tuesday with murder, assault on a child, and child abuse, all felonies. The charging documents allege they killed their 5-week-old son and assaulted their daughter “by means of force that to a reasonable person would be likely to produce great bodily injury.” Both Darn and Northington are scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Department 1 of the Contra Costa Superior Court. The charges stem from an incident around 6:30 p.m. last Thursday, when police were called by an employee at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 3150 Garrity Way, who said the couple rushed out of the hotel with their infant baby telling the employee the child was not breathing and they were going to a hospital. Armed protesters descended on a Washington hospital last month when the daughter of a 74-year-old patient called for back up from Ammon Bundy's anti-government militia network after claiming her mother was being held 'hostage' for refusing to take a COVID-19 test.  The Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver was forced into lockdown on January 29 after protesters - who belong to the People's Rights group founded by Bundy - gathered outside and demanded staff discharge Gayle Meyer. Her 49-year-old daughter Satin Meyers, who is a member of People's Rights, summoned the protesters to help her stage a demonstration outside the hospital, claiming the facility was refusing to let her see her mother. Authorities say the patient declined to take a COVID-19 test when she was admitted and was placed in a 24-hour quarantine while undergoing treatment. That quarantine meant her daughter, who hospital staff say refused to wear a mask, was not allowed to see her mother.   The call-to-arms is evidence of the group's aim to create an Uber-like response system that can mobilize militia and demonstrators at any given moment. The group is believed...

In fact, she hadn’t even realized it’d been put around her neck. Soon, it was noted that it was Avery’s necklace and that she’s originally found it by the cabin.
