    Three people were killed by a 23-year-old who then turned the gun on himself at an Iowa campground early Friday morning.  Officers with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation found three people dead at a Maquoketa Caves State Park campground in Maquoteka, Iowa when they responded to reports of a shooting.  Officials initially said 23-year-old Anthony Orlando Sherwin, of Nebraska, appeared to be missing from the camp, but they later found him dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound just west of the park grounds. Dominick Oliveira, of Bethlehem Township, was charged on an extraditable warrant with felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual assault, and other offenses on Wednesday, March 9, DailyVoice.com reported. He turned himself in with his attorney, James Heidecker, at district court 03-2-03 on Monday, March 28, Sgt. Shaun Powell said.     A man who was under a restraining order and not supposed to have a gun fatally shot his three daughters, aged nine, ten and 13, a chaperone and himself during a supervised visit with the girls at a Sacramento church, officials said Tuesday. Investigators were trying to piece together the father's motive and how he got the weapon used in the shooting that occurred at about 5 p.m. Monday.     The off-duty Illinois State Police trooper and his wife who were found shot dead inside a parked car on Chicago's South Side Monday have been confirmed as a murder-suicide.   The family of Amanda Alvarez-Calo, 31, said that she was on the verge of leaving her husband, 30-year-old Antonio Alvarez, at the time of her death.  Chicago police said that at around 1.40pm on Monday, a witness came across a car in the 11000 block of South Avenue E and discovered inside the bodies of Trooper Alvarez and Alvarez-Calo. The couple were pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds to the head,  state police said.     A Friday night shooting that left one man injured has turned fatal and another man has turned himself into police after a warrant was issued. Lancaster City police responded to a call of a shooting in the 600 block of Hebrank Street on Friday around 10:15 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found one man with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. He was identified by police as Jomar Almestica, 26, of York. Almestica was a class of 2013 graduate of Glen Mills School where he was a Division 1 athlete with a 5.23 minute mile, according to MileSplitPA. He was proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and aspiring rapper known as "J-Easy LP" with a large extended family that is grieving their loss on social media.     I'mage Greer's alleged killer turned himself in to York City police on Wednesday. One day after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Dominick Flores, 19, turned himself into police. He was wanted for the homicide of I’mage Greer who was shot dead in the 200 block of Green Street on Wednesday, July 28, around 12:40 a.m. as Daily Voice reported at the time. During the homicide investigation police learned that Flores orchestrated a robbery of marijuana, according to police. During the robbery attempt, gunfire was exchanged resulting in Greer's death.     A married mother-of-four who won $2million in the California Lottery just nine months ago was shot and killed in Oklahoma along with her one-year-old daughter in an apparent murder-suicide that police say was carried out by the woman's newlywed husband.  The bodies of Tiffani Hill, 31, and her husband, John Donato, 42, were discovered at the family's home in Calera, Oklahoma, on July 30. The couple's 23-month-old daughter, Leanne Donato, was also wounded in the shooting and later succumbed to her injuries.   Authorities said Donato, who was said to have been abusive, allegedly shot his wife and daughter before turning the gun on himself. Three other children who were in the home at the time were unharmed, according to police.     The Houston man suspected of fatally shooting a 17-year-old in a road rage incident on July 6 has turned himself in to police, authorities said Monday. The Houston Police Department charged Gerald Wayne Williams, 31, with murder after identifying him as the suspect on July 30. The department had previously offered a $10,000 reward for any information that could lead to his arrest. Two days later, the driver of the car turned himself in to Lincolnwood Police. (WLS) -- A hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a woman in north suburban Lincolnwood Sunday night has turned himself in to police.Police said the 18-year-old male came to the Lincolnwood Police Department accompanied by his attorney Tuesday and admitted to his involvement.Marcia D.     A man has turned himself into police in Texas after spending five days on the run while being wanted in connection of a homicide involving an elderly woman. The Dallas Police Department announced on Sunday afternoon that 58-year-old Andre Stefan Buggs had turned himself into police for the murder of 87-year-old Anita Daniels Thompson on July 6, ABC News reported on Monday. “Suspect Buggs was transported to the Homicide Unit, where detectives interviewed him,” The Dallas Police told ABC News, adding that he had invoked his right to an attorney before being transported to the Dallas County Jail. The day before he turned himself in, Dallas police had announced Buggs as the prime suspect in the slaying of Thompson, according to ABC News, adding that he was considered to be “armed and dangerous” at the time. Leon Bennett/Getty Images Rocker Marilyn Manson turned himself in to California police last week in connection with an outstanding warrant on assault charges.  Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple assault after he surrendering to authorities in Los Angeles, the Associated Press reported.  The charges stem from an alleged incident on Aug. 19, 2019 at a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in New Hampshire, where Manson is accused of assaulting a videographer.  Manson was ultimately processed and released without bail after turning himself in on July 2.  The singer will have a court date in New Hampshire in connection to the incident.     An 18-year-old wanted in connection with the murder last week of a Vallejo resident in Walnut Creek turned himself in to authorities Saturday. Dylan Baker was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. Baker is suspected in the June 17 murder of 25-year-old Stacy Corley. Jaesin Collado, a 22-year-old Martinez resident, and a 17-year-old who is not being identified because he is a juvenile were previously arrested in connection to the case.     A Brazilian councilman has been arrested for the alleged murder of his four-year-old stepson. Jairo Santos, who is also known as Dr. Jairinho, has been charged with triple qualified homicide, torture and witness tampering over the March 8 killing of Henry Borel at their home in Brazil. Santos' girlfriend, Monique Modeiros, who is the boy's mother, is being held on charges which include triple qualified homicide, omissive torture, making false statements, and witness coercion.   The couple had rushed Henry to Barra D'Or Hospital at 3am on March 8 after he became unresponsive. The child was declared dead upon arriving at the medical facility.     A man who police say pointed a rifle at a man with his two young children at an Easter gathering, turned himself in to police Wednesday. A 35-year-old Robeson Township resident told police Monday that Charles Cuesta pointed a rifle at him while he was with his two children, aged 3 and 8, around 9:30 a.m. at his Hopewell Road home on Easter Sunday, according to the Robeson Township Police Department. Cuesta turned himself in at the office of District Judge Glass Wednesday night, authorities said. He is facing charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment.
    ELK GROVE (CBS13) – A Sacramento man who was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Elk Grove in March has turned himself in. Marvin Stephney, 36, of Sacramento, turned himself in at the Sacramento County Main Jail for the March 18 shooting death of 34-year-old Davon Learson-Shafer, according to a statement from the Elk Grove Police Department. He was booked into jail for murder. Police say Stephney and Learson-Shafer got into an argument just before 10:30 p.m. on March 18. The fight escalated and reportedly ended with Stephney shooting Learson-Shafer and then leaving. When police arrived at the scene of the shooting — the 9200 block of Starfish Way — they found Learson-Shafer lying in the street. They administered first aid, but Learson-Shafer died.
