Donald Trump baffled his audience at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina Friday night, going off on a bizarre tangent to give his thoughts on the New York Jets' last NFL game. The 45th President took to the stage for a Save America rally ahead of the midterm elections, discussing all things immigration, crime, the 2020 election - and, strangely, the New York Jets' win over the Cleveland Browns last Sunday.  'The Jets game last week,... so there's like a minute and 37 seconds left, they're down by 13 points and they were having a tough game, and they don't even have the ball,' Trump began, with onlookers blankly awaiting the relevancy of New York's Week 2 win. 'I think the chances of them winning was one one-hundredth of one per cent, and nobody would take the bet. 'They got some kind of fumble, they threw a long pass it was caught, they got to seven... and then they got an onside kick, this took place over like about a minute and a quarter. 'They received... they got an onside kick,...

On the day schoolteacher and heiress Eliza Fletcher was abducted, DNA evidence from another case that could have put her suspect behind bars was sitting in a Tennessee testing facility, unentered into the national law enforcement system. Now, the woman in the first case has filed a lawsuit against the city, claiming the police department could and should have arrested the suspect sooner. “They knew who it was, they did nothing, and as a result, Eliza Fletcher winds up murdered when [the suspect] should have been in jail,” the woman’s lawyer, Gary Smith, told The Daily Beast. “If they had done their job, she’d be alive.” Alicia Franklin, 22, says she met Cleotha “Cleo” Abston on Sept. 21, 2021—almost a year before Fletcher’s abduction and murder. In her complaint, she says the two met on a dating app and made a plan to meet at the apartment complex where he worked before going to dinner. Instead, she alleges, Abston drew a gun on her and forced her into an empty apartment, blindfolding her with a T-shirt and threatening to kill...

On Thursday, guests at Disney's Epcot park were left stunned and concerned as they watched funnel clouds roll through the most magical place on Earth as strong storms made their way through Central Florida.  The out-of-this-world storm clouds were captured on video by guests at Epcot who ran for cover as the inclement weather threatened to ruin their day at the park. The clouds, which appear to hover very close to the ground, began gathering in Orlando at about 6:20 p.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service issued a warning for brief funnel clouds in the storm as it passed over the Orlando Metro area. The clouds, according to NWS, are harmless, but on rare occasions, they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. In order to gain the designation of a tornado, the clouds would have needed to touch the ground, which they didn't.  But it the lightning strikes and severe weather was enough for events to get canceled, like the Harmonius show at Epcot.  Funnel clouds pictured moving toward Disney's EPCOT in Orlando, Fla., on Thursday September...
Bumbling Rudy Giuliani sheepishly admitted that he 'got nothing' from his efforts to dig up dirt on the Bidens in Ukraine after teaming up with a suspected Russian agent in a bid to smear Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential race, a new book reveals. The former president's personal attorney made the confession in a text message to Lev Parnas, a Ukrainian associate who would later be jailed for campaign finance violations, journalist Andrew Kirtzman reveals in new biography, Giuliani: The Rise and Tragic Fall of America's Mayor. Giuliani confessed that claims against the Bidens were 'very weak' and 'not consistent with the facts', despite daily calls from Trump who became 'obsessed' with them. The former mayor of New York spent weeks meeting Ukrainian officials and former prosecutors as he tried to link Joe Biden and his son Hunter to a Democrat plot to overthrow Trump. A 'deeply frustrated' Rudy Giuliani admitted that his efforts to dig up dirt on the Bidens were fruitless, according to a new book Giuliani infamously met with Ukrainian lawmaker Andriy Derkach (pictured) who took a...

Bethany Mandel is the editor of the children's book publisher Heroes of Liberty  America's kids are not okay and it's America's adults who hurt them. In May of 2020, I was just one of the millions of parents – on the political right, left and center – who begged policymakers to weigh the potential benefits of our draconian pandemic mitigation measures against the potential harms. I was canceled and smeared as a 'Grandma Killer' on Twitter for refusing to sacrifice the quality of my children's lives to protect vulnerable adults. But I resisted. I would not lock my kids down inside our home for irrational fear of Covid, and I was proven right. Today my kids are thriving; something few parents in liberal regions of the country can say. My local elementary school, which my children would have attended if they weren't homeschooled, has seen the math scores for 3rd graders drop from 38.7% proficient in 2019, to 5.6% in 2021. The reading scores or ELA (English Language Arts) scores dropped from an already dismal 26.7% in 2019 to 7.5% in 2021....

On Wednesday, a U.S. Senate vote to proceed with veteran benefits legislation failed to receive the 60 votes needed for cloture, as Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) and other fiscal conservatives noted the PACT Act would have permitted up to $400 billion to be spent on unrelated programs. Earlier this week, Toomey urged Senate colleagues to accept his proposed amendment to keep the bill focused entirely on aiding those who served in the Armed Forces. Fully titled the Honoring Our PACT Act (& Camp Lejeune Justice Act), the measure would expand healthcare benefits for veterans exposed to poisonous substances. The legislation came about partly in response to lawsuits filed beginning in the early 2010s after toxic water exposure caused illness and death for numerous personnel stationed at the Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Benefits accorded through the act would apply to various other situations as well, including Agent Orange and radiation exposure.  House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Mark Takano (D-CA-41) said he expects 3.5 million veterans to receive additional aid as a result of the act which...

Trump is reportedly pushing for an earlier reveal, making him a bigger factor in the midterm elections. He recently told New York magazine, “Well, in my own mind, I’ve already made that decision, so nothing factors in anymore. Conservative author and psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson doubled down on his attack on Elliot Page, claiming Hollywood's biggest transgender star was 'converting' children by posing for pictures with his abs.  Peterson, who was suspended from Twitter after saying Page had his breast removed by a 'criminal physician,' reiterated his statement on Friday and said he needed to speak up following Page's appearance shirtless on Esquire's summer issue last month.  'See, I would've left Ellen Page alone if she hadn't been parading her new abs in a fashion magazine,' Peterson told podcaster Kyle Kulinski on his Krystal Kyle & Friends show. 'How many kids do you think she convinced to convert, one? A Thousand?'  The controversial physchologist also scuffed at his Twitter suspension and continued to refer to Page as female and using his former name, Ellen, a practice referred to by transgender people as 'deadnaming,' which many consider offensive.  Dr. Jordan Peterson (above) defended his attack on transgender star Elliot Page on Friday Peterson took issue with the Umbrella Academy actor showing off his abs, claiming that it would convert children...

Ellie Musgrove, from Manchester, started experiencing severe headaches and neck pain after her 21st birthday in January 2022, but she knew it was more than just a hangover after only celebrating with two alcoholic drinks. She then realised she couldn't see properly when she was plucking her eyebrows - her vision was impaired with black spots and double vision. She called her GP and was prescribed antibiotics over the phone for an ear infection, but her symptoms didn't improve, which prompted her to book an appointment with the opticians. Thinking she needed glasses, Ellie visited Specsavers with her father, Mike, 54, a commercial landlord, on 20 March 2022, before being rushed to Salford Royal Hospital, Greater Manchester, after the optician noticed swelling of her optic nerve. THERE are some "red flags" iPhone owners should look out for – maybe you've been blocked. Since the dawn of the digital age, humans have had one more thing to worry about: being blocked or ghosted by friends, colleagues or significant others online. 1There are some clues that might reveal if you've been blocked on iPhoneCredit: Apple No one likes to be blocked and ignored, it can make you doubt yourself, lower self-esteem and lead to anxiety and other mental health issues in the long run.  For those people that do hit the ‘block’ button and rid themselves of someone from their online life, it’s not always an act of malice. Most of the time it’s about self-preservation. If that person has hurt or offended you or is sending you messages that are negatively impacting you, it is sometimes easier and less stressful to remove them from your online life altogether.  However, being on the receiving end is never easy. Lizzo announced last week that she had released an updated version of her new song Grrrls that features a 'lyric change' after receiving backlash for using an ableist slur on the track. The 34-year-old American pop singer - who said she 'never want(s) to promote derogatory language' - has changed the word 's**z' in the line 'Do you see this s***? I'ma s**z.' She insisted on Instagram that she was 'dedicated to being part of the change I've been waiting to see in the world' after disability activists begged her to 'remove' the lyric from the track, which features on her upcoming album Special. Short for the derogatory term 'spastic', the phrase is considered to be offensive in the UK, while its US definition is to 'lose physical or emotional control'.  Yet Lizzo joins an array of artists who've revised their lyrics to make them more politically correct following public outcry. Michael Jackson, Paramore and Taylor Swift have all tweaked songs of theirs after spotting dated or derogatory language.  Swift took out the word gay in Picture To Burn two...
