The Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s offense had been a huge problem through the first three games of the season. As it turns out, the solution they needed was to play the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been one of the more disappointing teams three weeks into the 2022 season. They picked up just one win, against the California Golden Bears, but lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes and Marshall Thundering Herd. One area of concern that has stuck out with the Fighting had been their lackluster offense, who put up minimal yardage and points on the board. After weeks of figuring out what exactly it would take for Notre Dame to break out of their offensive slump, a solution has been found. That solution, is to play the North Carolina Tar Heels. In Week 4, Notre Dame led North Carolina 24-14 entering halftime. That’s right, they scored 24 points in two quarters. Nine days after a teenage student died of an apparent overdose from a fentanyl-laced pill, Los Angeles Unified School District officials announced plans to combat the national opioid epidemic, including distributing naloxone nasal sprays – used to reverse an opioid overdose in an emergency – to schools over the coming weeks. Naloxone, which often goes by the brand name Narcan, will be provided by the county’s Department of Public Health at no cost to the district, which has also received support from The Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, officials said on Thursday, Sept. 22. There are currently enough doses for the district’s high schools, which will receive the medication over the next two weeks, officials said. Additional doses will be distributed to middle and elementary campuses as they become available. L.A. Unified has approximately 1,400 schools. Nurses and other health care providers on campuses have been or will be trained to administer naloxone, with training to begin next month. Dan Abrams said there is a likelihood former President Donald Trump will be indicted over classified documents, even more so than possible charges stemming from numerous other ongoing investigations into him. He theorized Trump might be charged over his retention of classified documents after he left the White House. Abrams, who is the founder of Mediaite, noted he previously predicted Trump would face an indictment on charges of hoarding classified materials in the 40% range. He upped that prediction to the 60% range on Thursday. On NewsNation’s Dan Abrams Live, the host discussed the latest revelations about the Department of Justice’s claim that Trump refused to turn over documents to the National Archives upon leaving office while also ignoring multiple requests after departing the White House. Trump has claimed he had the authority to declassify any documents, at-will. The outcome of the Georgia election interference investigation remains to be seen, as Abrams pointed out. But as Trump faces legal challenge after legal challenge, Abrams said Trump might have finally found one he can’t beat. “I’ve long said that I did not think...
A Georgia woman killed under mysterious circumstances and found naked and burned posted a series of selfies to Facebook showing off a severe eye injury in December 2020, long before she went missing and was found in a wooded ravine. Debbie Collier posted the pictures to Facebook on an account she seemingly shared with her husband, Steve, and said she 'face planted on the concrete sidewalk.'  The real estate office manager, 59, was found naked clinging to a tree by sheriff's deputies a day after vanishing from the modest home she shared with husband Steven, 67, in Athens, Georgia, 60 miles away. Parts of her body were charred. Athens-Clarke County Police Department reportedly confirmed they had no record of any domestic calls involving Collier or her husband, or any made to their address at all.  The grisly pictures show scrapes and bruising around her right eye and on her forehead and was posted with the caption 'Look what I did to myself.' She also says she did not have any makeup on her right eye in the pictures.  Grisly pictures...

Eight new sweeteners found in citrus fruits could be used to reduce sugar in foods and soft drinks, scientists say — while claiming they could even cut the risk of diabetes. Researchers at the University of Florida said they found the compounds — seven being completely new — after running tests on grapefruits, mandarins and sweet oranges. The other sweetener discovered, used in Japan, was previously only known as a synthetic version. Dr Yu Wang, a food scientist who led the research, said in the paper that the sweeteners offered an 'expanded opportunity' to lower sugar levels in drinks.  Sweeteners are often deployed as a way to reduce sugars, and calories, in products while retaining the sweet flavor, which can help with weight loss. But some scientists are warning sweeteners — like aspartame and stevia in diet sodas — may actually raise the risk of someone being overweight, suffering from diabetes and even having a heart attack. Dr Yu Wang, a food scientist who led the research, said in the paper that the sweeteners offered an 'expanded opportunity' to lower...

Georgia authorities do not believe Debbie Collier was kidnapped before she was found dead in a ravine earlier this month—despite the 59-year-old mother’s cryptic Venmo message to her daughter before the disappearance suggesting “they are not going to let me go.” “At this time, there is no evidence to suggest or support that this incident was related to kidnapping or that this is a suicide,” the Habersham County Sheriff's Office said in a Wednesday night statement. The revelation only fuels more questions about what happened to Collier after she was reported missing on Sept. 10 by her husband, Steve, and daughter. The report was made a few hours after Collier’s daughter, Amanda Bearden, received a Venmo payment of nearly $2,400 from her mother. “They are not going to let me go love you there is a key to the house in the blue flower pot by the door,” the message on the Venmo payment read. Less than 24 hours later, authorities found Collier nude and severely burned in a ravine about an hour from her Athens home. A Habersham...
