Forget what you've been told — drinking two cups of coffee every day may not be bad for your health. In fact, scientists now recommend it.  For research has shown coffee lovers tend to live longer and have healthier hearts than peers who don't indulge in a daily cup of joe. And experts said the benefits were true for all types of coffee, meaning it's not just decaf drinkers who benefit from its supposed effects. The Australian researchers behind the study say their findings suggest a moderate coffee habit can be considered 'part of a healthy diet'.  Two to three coffees — the amount recommended — is in line with what the average Briton and American drinks.     Drinking two to three mugs daily — in line with the amount consumed by the average Briton and American — is linked to living longer and a lower risk of heart problems, according to researchers in Australia  RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next Drink for fertli-tea! A Utah woman has told of her shock at being ordered by a judge to hand over a photo album of her 'boudoir style' nude photos to her ex-husband, after he requested them as part of their divorce. Lindsay Marsh said that she commissioned the photos in the early years of her marriage, and wrote 'loving' and intimate messages to him inside the album. But, when she filed for divorce in April 2021 after 25 years together, her ex-husband Chris Marsh said that he wanted to keep the album, for the memories. 'It's violating and it's incredibly embarrassing and humiliating,' she said.  'The only way I can hopefully protect someone else from going through the same situation is to tell my story and expose that these are the types of things that he thinks are OK.'  Lindsay Marsh told The Salt Lake Tribune she was shocked when a judge ordered she hand over her intimate photo album to her ex-husband, as part of their divorce Marsh said she was shocked when her ex requested the book of photos, and protested....
A female hunter is facing the wrath of thousands on social media after she proudly displayed the carcass of a dog she killed and skinned on social media, mistaking the animal for a baby wolf. The woman, Amber Rose of Miller City, Montana, reportedly posted the troubling photos showing off the brutalized young husky on Friday, claiming the animal was a wolf and touting the kill. Almost instantly, an army of angry dog-lovers pointed out that the slain creature was not a wolf pup, but in fact a much smaller Siberian husky - causing a wave of backlash that has since spurred an investigation from the local sheriff. The disturbing and graphic images show Rose, who was accompanied on the hunting trip in Montana's Flathead County with her hunter husband Frank Tallent, showing off the skinned husky with a Cheshire Cat-like grin. Both Rose and Tallent have since defended their actions saying the kill was perfectly legal an act of self defense, while also bizarrely claiming it was in fact a mistake. Tallent, meanwhile, launched an expletive-laced rant at the waves of...

by Robert Romano   “Our expectation has been we would begin to see inflation come down, largely because of supply side healing.  We haven’t. We have seen some supply side healing but inflation has not really come down.” That was Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on Sept. 21, speaking to reporters following the central bank’s meeting where the Federal Funds Rate was once again increased 0.75 percent to its current range of 3 percent to 3.25 percent in a bid to combat sticky 8.3 percent consumer inflation the past year. To be sure, inflation has been above 5 percent for 15 straight months now dating back to June 2021, and the Fed was late to react, not hiking rates the first time until inflation was already above 8 percent in March 2022. Even now, the rate the Fed is charging banks to borrow is nowhere near to inflation rate, which is unusual for most of the Fed’s history. Throughout the postwar period – with the notable exception of the mid-1970s – the central bank would keep interest rates well above that of the inflation rate, something that was...

THE internet is divided after a man asked for advice on whether it’s wrong to date an old flame while his wife has advanced dementia. The anonymous husband posed the question about finding love again after serving as his wife's sole caregiver for years. 1A man is questioning whether it's OK to date while his wife suffers from advanced dementiaCredit: Getty The husband told The Washington Post's Amy Dickinson in her advice column that he placed his wife in an assisted living memory care facility last year. In the emotional message, the man said that having to place his wife in the facility caused him to enter five months of psychotherapy while taking antidepressant medication. “I’ve finally conquered my deep guilt and sense of having failed her,” he wrote. Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has apologized for his use of homophobic language in an Instagram video shared earlier this month in front of reporters during Monday's NBA media day.  The guard took to social media earlier this month to post the clip from his car, in which he zooms in on a group of shirtless men on the sidewalk. Commentating over the top of the clip, Edwards can be heard saying 'Look at these queer a** n****s, man. Look at the world I came to.' Asked if he had recognized whether his choice of words was 'hurtful' and if he was putting in effort to prevent derogatory language from being spread on social media, Edwards replied: 'I'm willing to do whatever it takes...

Carlson praised Giorgia Meloni, a right-winger who is set to become Italy’s next prime minister and the first woman to hold the position. He said Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party won because it effectively communicated policies that resonate with voters. He aired a clip of Meloni speaking at CPAC this year. “Everything we stand for is under attack,” she told the crowd. “Our individual freedom is under attack. Our rights are under attack. The sovereignty of our nation is under attack.” Meloni added, “People understand that in this age, the only way of being rebels is to preserve what we are… Knowing what we stand for is what we need to face this challenge.” The Fox News host agreed. “It’s true here,” Carlson said. “American families are facing the very same onslaught from the very same poisonous ideologies. NASA’s DART spacecraft has its sights set on the asteroid Didymos that appears like a bright dot in the blackness of space. Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), a box-shaped space probe, has activated its camera that will capture it crashing into the asteroid at 15,000 miles per hour at 7:14pm ET in an attempt to knock the space rock from its orbit. Such a mission may evoke memories of a Hollywood disaster movie such as Armageddon, but this is very much real and is actually part of the US space agency's first ever planetary defense test. The space probe will use what is called  kinetic impact, which involves sending one or more large, high-speed spacecraft into the path of an approaching near-earth object.  The craft launched last November and is nearly to the end of its epic journey to the small asteroid Dimorphos, which orbits a larger one called Didymos. Didymos and Dimorphos are currently making their closest approach to Earth in years, passing at a distance of about 6.7 million miles from our planet. Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), a...
"The scope of what the FBI did is unprecedented," Frommer added. "This was the largest armed robbery in United States history, and it was committed by the FBI." According to court filings, the FBI insisted on the affidavit that the "warrants authorize the seizure of the nests of the boxes themselves, not their contents," and Judge Kim reiterated on the warrant he signed that "[t]his warrant does not authorize a criminal search or seizure of the contents of the safety deposit boxes." However, the FBI seized and searched the boxes anyway, the lawsuit alleges. The FBI later claimed that it was under no obligation to inform Judge Kim "how later actions, such as criminal investigations against boxholders or forfeiture of box contents, would play out." The U.S. Attorney's Office then sought to keep from the public all court documents which suggest the FBI deceived Kim, but a judge denied that request. The lawsuit also claims that some of the box holders who came forward to reclaim their seized property were then subjected to another investigation. The FBI supposedly examined...

At the time, Teigen revealed to her fans on Instagram that she had gone through a miscarriage after a month of unusual bleeding. During a speech Teigen gave earlier this month she said it took her a long time to come to term with the idea that she had actually had a medically induced abortion. She credited Legend with helping her understand the situation following the Supreme Courts decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. In a clip circulating Twitter via The Recount, Cruz said “If there’s a medical procedure in that context, it’s not an abortion.” “And it is the law in all 50 states and it should be the law in all 50 states, that doctors can intervene to save...

Describing the team's offseason as 'hell,' Boston Celtics star Marcus Smart revealed that he and his teammates have been largely in the dark as the team investigated head coach Ime Udoka over a reported affair with a female team staff member. 'It's been hell for us,' said Smart at Monday's media day when asked about the fallout from Udoka's yearlong suspension. 'Just caught off surprise. Nobody knows anything, so we're just in the wind like everybody else. It's confusing.' The reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year didn't direct any attacks at Udoka, who guided Boston to the NBA Finals in his first year with the team last season. But Smart did express frustration with the team's circumstances heading into the new campaign. A week ago, the Celtics' biggest concerns were offseason knee surgeries of teammates Danilo Gallinari and Robert 'Time Lord' Williams. But beginning with reports of Udoka's imminent suspension early last week, and The Athletic's subsequent reporting that the coach made 'unwanted' comments to the unidentified woman, Boston's upcoming season was quickly tainted before it began. 'I still...

Meta said Monday it's testing new features intended to help people easily manage their Facebook and Instagram accounts via one interface. President Joe Biden welcomed the Atlanta Braves' 2021 World Series team to the White House on Monday, and compared their comeback win to his own victory in the 2020 presidential election. The Braves had been counted out early in the season, and had a losing record all the way through to the All-Star break. Yet they fought back to make the play-offs and went all the way to beat the Houston Astros in the World Series.    'You made the playoffs and beat the Braves, the Brewers and the Dodgers. And then you beat the Astros, to win it all - forever known as the "upset kings of October,"' said Biden as he recounted their season. 'One of the history's greatest turnarounds. A comic pair of googly eyes on the front of a self-driving car could reduce traffic accidents, a new study suggests.  Researchers in Japan fitted a golf cart with two large, remote-controlled robotic eyes, making it look like the beloved children's TV character 'Brum'. In experiments in virtual reality (VR), they found pedestrians were able to make 'safer or more efficient choices' when the eyes were fitted than when they weren't.  According to the researchers, pedestrians generally like to look at vehicle drivers to know that they've registered their presence. But in a future where self-driving cars are commonplace, pedestrians won't be able to do this as the driver's seat will be empty. Therefore, having a set of eyes on a self-driving car can help pedestrians judge if they should not cross the road, and in turn avoid potential traffic accidents.  According to the researchers, pedestrians like to look at vehicle drivers to know that they've registered their presence.
