OAKLAND — A Stockton man pleaded no contest to pimping a teen girl, as part of a plea deal with Alameda County prosecutors that got more serious human trafficking charges dismissed and led to his release from jail, court records show. STOCKTON — The family of a woman killed by a Stockton police officer during a February pursuit has signaled its intent to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the officer and the department, records show. Video released by the police department shows Ribera firing a magazine into Gaeta’s vehicle seconds after she backs into him, then reloading and firing several more shots as Gaeta is attempting to turn her car around. A 2019 policy by the city “generally prohibits” officers shooting at a fleeing vehicle.
