KELSEY Parker has opened up about “making the most of life” as it was revealed she has started dating again . The mum-of-two has grown close to Sean Boggans, eight months after the death of her beloved husband, Tom Parker in March after a 20-month battle with brain cancer. 9Kelsey Parker manages to stay positive even in the darkest of situations 9Tom and Kelsey fell for each other long before he hit the big timeCredit: Shutterstock 9Kelsey's children have now had to learn to deal with grief The Sun revealed earlier this week that Kelsey met 39-year-old electrician Sean through mutual friends at a wedding in Greece in September and they attended a wedding together in Greenwich, South London last month. However it’s clear that despite dating again, Tom is still never far from her mind. Surprisingly rather than being bitter about her situation Kelsey manages to find the positive in even the darkest of situations describing herself as “lucky”. She tries to live by the adage: “It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have...
KWASI Kwarteng claims Liz Truss ignored his warnings to “slow down” their doomed economic plans - and that she was “mad” to sack him. In his first interview since being fired, the former Chancellor regretted trying to do “too much, too fast” after unleashing a tax-cutting mini-Budget that sent the markets into meltdown. 1Kwasi Kwarteng, 47, was dismissed by former PM Liz Truss after a market meltdown in OctoberCredit: Reuters He admitted on TalkTV last night there had been “no real tactical plan” and they should have adopted “a much more measured approach”. But Mr Kwarteng insisted he had tried to reign in the ex-PM’s dash for growth yet was overruled. He told the First Edition programme: “I said actually after the Budget that because we were going very fast - even after the mini budget we were going at breakneck speed - and I said, ‘You know, we should slow down, slow down’. “She said, ‘Well, I've only got two years’ and I said, ‘You will have two months if you carry on like this’. And that's I'm afraid...
DEAR MISS MANNERS: My goddaughter started attending a fundamentalist church with very strict rules. Fine for her, but she wrote to me that since I go to a different kind of church, I am doomed to hell unless I join hers. I was insulted! This letter came out of the blue, and we only have limited time together, as she lives far away. I waited a month to cool down before writing back. By the way, her mother goes to a different church and was not told she’s doomed. I’m finding it hard to forgive my goddaughter, and I wonder how to proceed. GENTLE READER: Your goddaughter’s church evidently enforces some rules more strictly than others: “Doing unto others” is being interpreted rather loosely, for instance, as Miss Manners is confident your goddaughter would not welcome being told that it is she, not you, who is in for an unpleasant surprise. The correct response is one of the few good uses for the non-apology, “I am sorry you feel that way.” No doubt that is what the letter that you...

Getty Simon Cowell & Kelly Clarkson at Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony. Twenty years ago, few people had ever heard of Kelly Clarkson. She went from complete obscurity to superstardom thanks primarily to “American Idol.” Even if the former “Voice” coach hadn’t won the inaugural season of AI, she was so popular with fans that the show still would have probably changed her life. During the first season of “American Idol,” the judges consisted of: the sweet and supportive, Paula Abdul; the no-nonsense, Randy Jackson; and the often rude and cruel, Simon Cowell. Gina Carano is un-cancelable because she says so. I am a longtime fan of the actress. Our paths have crossed over the past few years and now I consider her a friend. We have a mutual kinship as two women who have taken unorthodox paths and weathered our blows in the media for speaking our minds. But Gina stands out as an iconoclast in a sea of bobblehead, group-think clones who swarm all over Hollywood. And this week, I was fortunate enough to interview Gina as she promotes her new movie produced by The Daily Wire. 'The best thing that my dad ever told me was, 'if you want to have a birthday party, you better throw it yourself,' Gina told me, 'Hollywood is just somewhere in California. And Hollywood is not art.' Personally and professionally, Gina has moved on from her very public firing by Disney in February 2021.  And it didn't take long. About 24 hours after they tried to pull the plug on her career– she started fighting back. 'They can't cancel us if we don't let...

In the moment Andy died, I was certain of two things: that my beloved was gone, though the critical care team waited a bleak minute before confirming what my heart brokenly and instantly recognised — and that he would never leave. Death alters relationships. It doesn’t end them. It will be two years next month since my husband succumbed to a pneumonia that blindsided doctors with its severity and odd behaviours, defying their every intervention. Later, they would launch an inconclusive investigation, suspecting that Andy, only 64 when he died, had been one of the earliest UK Covid fatalities. He first showed symptoms of the illness that would kill him less than a week after his band, Gang Of Four, rounded off an international tour at packed venues in China. Widowhood came hard on the heels of another loss. My stepfather John died shortly after Andy’s return to London, his cause of death also listed as pneumonia. My mother and I were lucky in one respect; this happened before Covid barred families from hospitals. I was even able to hold...

Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) went on the record to confirm a highly-confrontational encounter she had with Republican colleague Jim Jordan (OH) during the storming of the U.S. Capitol. As the nation observes the first anniversary of January 6th, Cheney has drawn a great deal of media coverage as one of the few Republican lawmakers to consistently hold former President Donald Trump responsible for the riot his supporters carried out to overturn his election defeat. The congresswoman and her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, both spoke to the media on Thursday, sharing their disappointment for how Republicans have conducted themselves in the insurgency’s aftermath. During her media engagements, Congresswoman Cheney spoke to Michael Barbaro of New York Times’ “The Daily” podcast, who asked her about an anecdote Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker published months ago in their book I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J. DEAR HARRIETTE: My aunt pulled me aside the other day to “lovingly” tell me that I’ve gained weight. Harriette Cole  I already knew that I was gaining weight, so I really didn’t need her to give me the news herself. Since we had that conversation, she’s been texting me with all sorts of diet and workout plans. I told her that I’m aware of my weight gain and don’t really need her advice, as I’m working on it myself. It may seem like an overreaction, but it’s going to be a while before I want to speak to her again. Every time I talk to her, she finds a way to criticize me and make me feel bad about myself.
