The daughter of Steve Jobs, 23, announced on Instagram Monday that she has signed with modeling agency DNA Model Management. She’s in good company, as DNA also represents stars such as Emily Ratajkowski, Kaia Gerber and Linda Evangelista —as well as fellow superstar offspring Meadow Walker, whose father is the late Paul Walker. Jobs is already a working model, having kicked off her career in a Glossier holiday campaign in 2020 alongside “Euphoria” actress Sydney Sweeney and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” runner-up Naomi Smalls. In 2021, she made her runway debut at Coperni’s show during Paris Fashion Week where, fittingly, she wore a green mock turtleneck top and carried the label’s “Origami” handbag, the shape of which was inspired by the iPhone’s Photos app icon. DENVER (CBS4) – Based on the latest weather models, confidence is increasing that Denver and much of Colorado’s Front Range will finally get the first measurable snow of the season later this week. Two storm systems on the West Coast will combine in the coming days and move east toward Colorado. The storm track should be favorable for upslope flow along the urban corridor and therefore snow around Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins Thursday night into Friday. (source: CBS) At this time, accumulation is expected to be light in the metro area with anywhere from a trace to 2 inches in most neighborhoods below 6,000 feet. Much higher amounts are expected in the mountains including 5 to 12 inches at most Colorado ski areas. Looking at two longer ranger weather models, the GFS model generally has the highest snow totals but insist the Denver metro area should get no more than 2 inches while Boulder could get up to 3 inches. (source: CBS) The European model shows slightly higher amounts along the Front Range and somewhat lower snow totals for some...
The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Hurricane Larry is expected to hit Newfoundland, on Canada’s northeast coast, late Friday as a Category 1 hurricane.  In its latest report, forecasters with the hurricane center say Larry is 745 kilometers southwest of Cape Race, Newfoundland, and has maximum sustained winds of about 130 kph. It was moving quickly to the north-northeast about 46 kph and is expected to move faster as the day goes on and reach southeastern Newfoundland Friday night.  Southeastern Newfoundland is expected to see hurricane conditions late Friday, with periods of heavy rain, high winds and heavy surf that could cause coastal flooding.   Meteorologists with The Washington Post report European weather models show the remnants of Larry will be swallowed by the jet stream over the next two to three days and bring heavy snow to eastern Greenland on Sunday and Monday.  Meanwhile, hurricane center forecasters are watching a tropical disturbance over the western Caribbean Sea and portions of Central America and the Yucatan Peninsula.    They forecast that system will move north-northwest into the Bay of Campeche...
FREMONT (CBS SF / CNN) — You’re going to have to wait a long time if you want to buy just about any Tesla. Estimated delivery times on Tesla’s website have been pushed back until late this year — and in come cases next year — for all but the upper-end versions of the Model 3 sedan and Model Y SUV. For the two most expensive cars, the Model S and Model X, buyers will have to wait until March or April 2022 for anything but the upper-end “Plaid” version of the Model S. For those most pricey Tesla models, the estimated delivery time is January or February. The upper-end “performance” version of the Model 3 can be delivered within four to six weeks, and that version of the Model X can be had in five to six weeks. But for less expensive models you’ll have to wait until between November to January. The reason for the delays: A parts shortage that is temporarily shutting down auto plants around the world. “The chip shortage issue isn’t moderating to the extent that the...

WEST PORTSMOUTH — With fireworks and firecrackers going off, finally — hopefully — the 2020 racing season at Portsmouth Raceway Park can make good on its newest restart. And, on what a day indeed to do it. That’s because, following last Saturday night’s cancellation due to impending inclement weather, PRP will once again attempt to open its racing season —and do so in a big way with the Independence Day holiday. As the calendar turns over to July, the Independence 50 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will go on as scheduled for Saturday, July 4 — as the PRP Facebook page has spent the past few days playing the event up. Per a PRP post: “The stars of #LucasDirt return to Portsmouth Raceway Park on July 4th for the Independence 50 presented by Able Air. See the nation’s top dirt late model drivers in a complete program — highlighted by a 50-lap, $12,000 to win main event. Modifieds $800 to win and Limited Late Models $500 to win.” That’s right — a 50-lap feature for five figures in earnings....
WEST PORTSMOUTH — With the 2020 Portsmouth Raceway Park racing season within earshot, track personnel — with an eye on the sky and an ear to the airwaves — is rapidly readying for its official opening night. That date is in fact set for Saturday, June 27 — just one week away. Last Wednesday night, during PRP’s weekly live Facebook discussion, 15-year PRP promoter Donna Rayburn provided an update — and announced that fans will be permitted into the facility, which is located along State Route 73 in West Portsmouth. This past week, the track’s admission prices — as well as its revamped schedule — were announced on its Facebook page, as only the $30 pit pass is established for ALL age groups. The cost is $15 for general admission for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages seven thru 12, and children under six are admitted for free. The complete racing program will include Late Models, Modifieds, Limited Late Models and Sport Mods —plus the Ohio Valley Roofers Legend Car Series. However, strict social distancing requirements must be...
