Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz is unlikely to face charges for allegedly trafficking a 17-year-old girl because of advice from career prosecutors and credibility issues with a witness, a report Friday said. Sources told the Washington Post that Department of Justice superiors have been advised against moving the case forward. The allegations claim from an investigation that began in 2020 over claims Gaetz, now 40, was involved with a 17-year-old girl years earlier and paid for sex.  Investigators zoned in on a trip to the Bahamas in 2018 where Gaetz was with several women, and were looking to determine whether he violated trafficking laws.  Married Gatez insists it never happened and the only time he had sex with a 17-year-old girl was when he was 17.  He has dismissed the investigation as a 'witch hunt' and his lawyers have said they have seen 'no credible basis' for charges. More evidence could emerge in the case but it is rare for such advice from within the Department of Justice to be rejected, the Post added in the report. Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz...
As the order is under seal, it is unclear whether the calculation took into account the $4.8 million sent by the communist Chinese-affiliated CEFC China Energy company to a entity controlled by Biden and his uncle James Biden. Roberts' lawyer, Clint Lancaster, suggested that Biden's efforts to pay less might prove costly. "Ultimately, this is going to require us to look deeply, more deeply, into Hunter's finances."Before Biden's fight to pay less, he fought not to pay at allBiden reportedly first met Roberts at the Mpire Gentlemen's Club in Washington, D.C., where she worked as a stripper. Shortly after breaking up with his dead brother's wife, Biden got Roberts pregnant. The NY Post reported that Roberts — whom Biden claimed he had "no recollection" of meeting — had been on the payroll at the first son's now-defunct law firm Owasco PC during her pregnancy. After Roberts gave birth to the child, named Navy Joan, Biden promptly had Roberts kicked off the firm's health insurance plan. Biden denied being the father (a paternity test later proved his parentage "with near...

Drew Angerer/Getty Images Former President Donald Trump recognized that the “temperature has to be brought down” in the country following the retrieval of classified documents from his Mar-a-Lago residence, and offered to do whatever he could to help in an interview with Fox News. But in the very same interview, he continued to assail law enforcement in a manner that will only continue to divide the nation. Late Sunday evening, Trump posted on Truth Social about the investigation into classified and top secret documents retrieved from his home, the mishandling of which is a felony offense according to a law he signed in 2018. Trump wrote: America has never suffered this kind of ABUSE in Law Enforcement! For the FBI to RAID the home of the 45 President of the United States, or any President for that matter, is totally unheard of and unthinkable. Fox Business Network host Larry Kudlow took President Joe Biden to task for his economic policies during an interview with Mike Pence on Monday, where he asked the former vice president if he’s ever seen a president who “commits so many falsehoods.” Both Kudlow and Pence served in the administration of Donald Trump, who, according to the Washington Post, uttered more than 30,000 falsehoods during his four years as president. Kudlow criticized Biden because “he won’t take the blame” for inflation and other ills in the country. “Have you ever seen a president who refuses to accept blame, and I want to add to that, commits so many falsehoods?” Kudlow asked Pence. “I’m being very polite here, calling it falsehoods – falsehoods, you know, on any given day. He’s out there saying stuff that just ain’t true. Chris Rock has joked with fans that he finally has 'most of my hearing back' after being slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars.  The funnyman, 57, appeared on stage Thursday at the Royal Albert Hall in London, as part of his Ego Death comedy tour. Teasing the 5,000 ticketholders who were anticipating an array of Smith jokes, he opened the show saying: 'I'm okay, if anyone was wondering... I got most of my hearing back,' The Times of London reported. The audience was soon left disappointed as Rock continued: 'People expect me to talk about the bulls**t, I’m not going to talk about it right now.'  Smith, 53, had brutally smacked Rock at the Oscars in March after the comedian told a joke about the actor's wife Jada Pinkett-Smith.  Rock made a GI Jane joke, referencing Pinkett-Smith's ongoing battle with alopecia, which prompted her husband to storm the stage and viciously slap the comedian. The violent outburst caused an uproar across social media and resulted in Smith being banned from the Academy Awards for 10 years. Chris Rock has been...
The infamous Kim Kardashian sex tape was ‘released like an album’ by Kim herself who kept the only copy of it stashed in a Nike shoebox under her bed along with the rest of the steamy tapes she made with Ray J, DailyMail.com has learned. Speaking for the first time about the tape in a bombshell interview with DailyMail.com, Ray J said he had never possessed a copy of any of the tapes they made together, only holding on to photos and texts Kim sent him between 2002 and 2009. He also insists he never did any of the things she claims he did in the Kardashians’ new Hulu show and was outraged by her suggestion he might have a video showing him ‘sticking a dildo in my a**’ – which he says made him sound ‘like a rapist’ and was untrue. And in a private text message to Ray J, seen below, Kim admits: 'If you’re upset about the dildo comment it was clearly a sarcastic joke and I was laughing when I said it.' 'I have never leaked...

Nicole Saphier, MD is a physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College and bestselling author of 'Panic Attack.' Her opinions are her own and not reflective of her employers. Who knew that one of the symptoms of COVID was whiplash? On Tuesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci declared that the pandemic that has killed nearly 1 million people in the United States and more than 6 million people worldwide is apparently over. 'We are certainly right now in this country out of the pandemic phase,' he said at the tail end of a PBS NewsHour interview on Tuesday evening. Then less than 24 hours later, Fauci was scrambling to walk that statement back. 'The world is still in a pandemic,' Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told the Washington Post on Wednesday, 'There's no doubt about that. Don't anybody get any misinterpretation of that. We are still experiencing a pandemic.' 'We're really in a transitional phase,' he went on, 'from a deceleration of the [COVID case] numbers into hopefully...
L.A. Dodgers center fielder Cody Bellinger seems to have found his groove again, his struggles last season long gone. Hitting across baseball has entered into an ice age. Batting averages have never been lower. There have never been fewer hits per game than there’s been so far in 2022. Runs per game are on pace to be the lowest since the strike-shortened 1981 season. In Los Angeles, though, there’s a former MVP who didn’t get the message that pitching is supposed to be dominant in today’s game. Fifteen games into his season, Dodgers center fielder Cody Bellinger has more resembled the 2019 version of himself that was the best hitter in the National League and went home with the game’s highest individual honor, than the player who struggled on a massive scale in 2021. The genesis of Bellinger’s apparent downfall came, ironically, on a home run. In Game 7 of the NLCS in 2020, Bellinger’s solo homer with two outs in the seventh helped the Dodgers move past the Atlanta Braves on their way to the franchise’s first World Series...

A federal judge on Thursday refused Donald Trump's request to stand aside from handling his lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, saying there was no legitimate reason why his appointment by President Bill Clinton should disqualify him. In a strongly worded five-page ruling, Judge Donald Middlebrooks said he had never met the Clintons and hinted that Trump was 'judge-shopping.' 'Every federal judge is appointed by a president who is affiliated with a major political party, and, therefore, every federal judge could theoretically be viewed as beholden, to some extent or another,' he wrote.  'As judges, we must all transcend politics.' Trump last month filed a suit against Clinton and a slew of other Democrats, accusing them of trying to spread smears about him during the 2016 campaign.  The case was assigned to Middlebrooks, who was appointed by President Clinton in 1997 to the Southern District of the Florida federal court. In his Thursday ruling, he said all judges - by virtue of their appointment could be considered to have political backgrounds - but without any evidence to the contrary should be considered impartial....

You might not think you've got much in common with James Corden — Hollywood A-lister, talk show host, pal of Prince Harry.  But this time last year when he recorded a public confessional about his battle with his body, he told a story millions of us can recognise. 'Every year for the last decade, probably even 15 years, on January 1st I've told myself and anyone that listens that this is it, this is the year I'm going on a diet, I'm going to lose a load of weight,' said Corden. And yet nothing had ever stuck. Even as an advocate for body positivity, Corden admitted he was fed up with how he looked, fed up with being unhealthy — and fed up with having failed to change all that for so many years. Crash diets, he confessed, just never stuck long-term. It wasn't about chasing some unrealistically skinny ideal either — he just wanted to feel better and be fitter, for his own sake as well as for his wife and three children. And yet, even with personal trainers...
AMIR KHAN revealed he has given away over £250,000 in FREE tickets for his friends to see him finally fight Kell Brook. The welterweight rivals put pen to paper to at last confirm their bitter grudge match, set for February 19 in Manchester. 2Amir Khan and Kell Brook ahead of their February fightCredit: PA Tickets for the fight sold out within minutes, such is the demand to see the two settle the score once and for all. But Khan - never one to disappoint - admitted he has had to take from his own pockets to make sure his friends and family will be in attendance. He told iFL TV: "I've only got a handful of tickets left. It's hard man, so many friends are popping up saying, 'AK, I need some tickets'. "And I don't want to let anyone down, I want to give everyone that opportunity to see this fight. "I'm giving away that many tickets, so I said to the Mrs - I got her to handle it all - and...

One of Britain's last surviving D-Day veterans who was nicknamed 'Mr Never Surrender' has died aged 97. Alan King, a radio operator in a Sherman tank, battled his way across France, Holland and Germany after landing on Sword Beach in Normandy on June 6, 1944. He made headlines in 2016 after he was reunited with a Dutch woman whose life he had saved during a battle when she was just four years old. He became a familiar figure in recent years at reunion events in UK and Europe for the dwindling band of veterans who fought in the Second World War. Mr King's wartime memories were highlighted by the Royal Mint in 2019 in its publicity material for the launch of a £2 coin to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day. James Franco has admitted he slept with students at his acting school and 'cheated on everyone' he dated during a 20-year battle with 'sex addiction.' The actor, 43, was speaking for the first time since being accused of sexual misconduct by five women, four of his ex-students and one who said he was her mentor, in January 2018. One claimed that Franco removed a protective plastic guard covering actress' vaginas and simulated oral sex on them while filming a scene for a movie, while another said he asked actresses to remove their shirts on set.  Two of the women later sued the Spider Man star, saying he intimidated students at his now-defunct Studio 4 acting school into gratuitous and exploitative sexual situations.  Franco initially denied all of the allegations but settled for $2.2 million in July with the two women who sued him. The actor said he thought sleeping with students was 'cool' because it was 'consensual,' but admitted he was 'completely blind to power dynamics ... but also completely blind to people's feelings.'  Speaking on the SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Podcast,...
Vice President Kamala Harris claimed she does not thinking about whether President Biden will run again in 2024 and that they do not discuss reelection, in an interview published Thursday. A poll this week revealed that she heads the field of possible Democratic runners if Biden decides that he will be too old at the age of 81 to stand in 2024. But she said that the next election was not something that she and her boss discuss as they approach the end of their first year in office. 'I'm not going to talk about our conversations, but I will tell you this without any ambiguity: We do not talk about nor have we talked about re-election, because we haven't completed our first year and we're in the middle of a pandemic,' she told the Wall Street Journal.  She spoke soon after a series of news organizations profiled the likely Democratic runners in the event of Biden stepping aside. And a growing chorus of voices is suggesting that the president should publicly announce he will not run for a second...
"Ted Cruz has never recouped more than $500,000 he loaned his first campaign. He’s working to overturn the law that’s blocked him." was first published by The Texas Tribune, a nonprofit, nonpartisan media organization that informs Texans — and engages with them — about public policy, politics, government and statewide issues. Locked in an expensive Republican primary for U.S. senator against a wealthy, better-known opponent, Ted Cruz loaned his campaign over $1 million in 2012. The cash helped him defeat Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst in a runoff that essentially secured Cruz a seat in the Senate. But it came at a personal financial cost: Cruz has never been able to recoup $545,000 of that loan, according to a Federal Election Commission report. A 2002 law bans victorious federal candidates from using more than $250,000 raised after an election to pay back loans they gave their own campaigns prior to Election Day. Congress passed it to help prevent the appearance of quid pro quo corruption. The idea behind the limit is that money collected after an election is no longer helping...
George Clooney has said it was 'insane' and 'infuriating' that live bullets were on the set of Alec Baldwin's film Rust, which resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The Hollywood star, 60, added he has never heard the term 'cold gun' used to describe a firearm that is safe to use on set, after the phrase was supposedly used by the film's assistant director before handing the revolver to Baldwin. Clooney said the fatal shooting, which also wounded director Joel Souza, was a 'terrible accident' but claimed AD David Halls should never have been near the prop gun and was in disbelief that it occurred after rigorous safety measures implemented following the on-set deaths of Brandon Lee and Jon-Erik Hexum. The 32-year-old Arsenal captain has already scored seven times this season and will be looking to add to his tally in tonight’s Carabao Cup clash with Leeds. Arteta says: “I have never seen Auba transmit what he is doing now and something has clicked with the realisation that his role at the club has to go well beyond scoring goals. “What was very good with his contribution two or three years ago is no longer enough. “He had to take a step forward and what he is now transmitting is really important. “Apart from his goals, it’s the celebration when we put the ball...

And when my dreams are sleeping, I feel my nightmares watching me.” Dream expert Ian Wallace said: “The head is very tied up in your identity, how you present yourself to the world. When we dream we are being shot we feel like our identity, who we are, is being attacked. “Perhaps Ed feels pressured to produce music that isn’t the type he really wants. Or it could be he feels criticised by his audiences.” Ed, 30, who also has spoken of his claustrophobia and depression, is preparing to release fifth studio album Equals this month. He will...

He was neither tall nor handsome but Kim Philby's charm and exquisite manners meant women adored him, never suspecting his capacity for deception or where his true loyalty lay. As the first extract in our serialisation of a brilliant new book about the traitor reveals, it wasn't just his country this Cold War spy cheated on . . .  Love and deception were the hallmarks of Kim Philby, Britain's most notorious (and most successful) Cold War traitor. He loved communism, the flawed cause to which he dedicated his life, and for decades as a British intelligence officer deceived his MI6 masters, living a double life as he passed secrets by the barrel-load to Moscow, where his true loyalties lay. Similarly, in his private life, he loved and was loved by numerous women, only to betray them one by one with his astonishing facility for deceit. At first glance he was an unlikely Lothario. Not a big man, just 5ft 9in tall, pale-skinned and lean, he stuttered and seemed hesitant, reserved even. But he instinctively oozed charm, his voice deep and...
Chef Anthony Paris (pictured), an eye-witness to the 9/11 attacks, says a stranger helped evacuate him, his wife and their 6-month-old baby after the World Trade Center collapsed. An eye-witness to the 9/11 terrorist attacks who recently spoke out about his family's experience for the first time shared how a stranger helped get him, his wife and their six-month-old baby to safety 20 years ago. Anthony Paris, who contributed to the 9/11: Life Under Attack documentary for British network ITV, was living six blocks away from the World Trade Center and could see the towers collapse from their apartment building. He and his wife, Kyra, were forced to evacuate their home with their six-month-old son, Daschiel, after a dust-ball carrying debris and other infinite organic matter moved towards their neighborhood at a speed of approximately 60mph, Paris said. The couple - struggling with the decision of whether to flee or stay put - was rescued by a Good Samaritan who was helping several area residents get to safety. ‘It's weird how this happens but there are angels in this...
THERE'S no denying the fuzzy feeling you get after checking in to a luxurious hotel room, and soaking up the benefits to get your money's worth. While it's common courtesy to at least give the room a once over to help out hotel staff, people reckon this bloke's check-out habit is bonkers. With Afghanistan having fallen to the Taliban, many Trumpistas — from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia to Fox News pundits Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham — are resorting to xenophobic fear-mongering over Afghan refugees. Another is long-time Trump ally Stephen Miller, who is getting a vehement blowback from Afghan War veteran Matt Zeller. During an appearance on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle" earlier this week he said, "The United States of America never, ever, made a promise, written or unwritten, to the people of Afghanistan that if, after 20 years, they were unable to secure their own country, that we would take them to ours. That is nonsense. That has never been U.S. government policy." However, Zeller (founder of the group No One Left Behind) is very much in favor of supporting Afghan refugees, and Business Insider's Grace Panetta reports that Miller has had an ongoing battle with Miller.
