After being hit by criticism for ballooning cost estimates of its student loan and facing two lawsuits, the Biden administration announced a change that could leave out an estimated four million borrowers from the relief program. The Education Department announced the change in a release Thursday specifically about Federal Family Education Loans, which are bank loans backed up by federal guarantees. They used to major component of federal student loans, but stopped after a major Obama administration student loan overhaul in 2010 that shifted to direct loans from the government. Nevertheless, about 4 million people still have FFEL loans on the books, according to government data identified by Politico, which flagged the change.  President Joe Biden's student loan debt forgiveness program provides relief of up to $20,000 to individuals.  In the weeks since President Joe Biden announced his program to provide relief of $10,000 to help individuals wipe away student debt, and $20,000 for Pell grant recipients, borrowers have been allowed to reorganize their FEEL loans to qualify. The initial policy stated that FFEL and Perkins loans qualified. But on...

And during this week's Manningcast broadcast of the Monday night matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants this week, co-host and former quarterback Eli Manning took a joking jab at Wilson. The photo simply showed a TV with the loading screen for the new FIFA 23 game - which is officially released tomorrow. President Joe Biden has invited French President Emmanul Macron and his wife Brigitte to the White House on December 1 for the first state dinner of the administration.  White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the announcement Monday at the top of the briefing.  'This will be the first state visit of the Biden-Harris administration,' she said. 'It will underscore the deep and enduring relationship between the United States and France, our oldest ally.'  It's been a year since the U.S., the U.K. and Australia rattled relations with France over the formation of the tri-lateral pact AUKUS, which resulted in Australia cancelling a lucrative submarine deal with the French government.  President Joe Biden has invited French President Emmanul Macron and his wife Brigitte to the White House on December 1 for the first state dinner of the administration French first couple Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron (left) were also the first state dinner guests of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump (right). DAN WOOTTON (pictured) Perhaps the greatest irony in the campaign by the Sussexes to present themselves as having been ‘silenced’ by the monarchy is that the very people who have the receipts to prove what really happened are themselves silenced by law. The Sussex Survivor Squad, as they now refer to themselves, are the band of once loyal staff members who made a herculean bid to keep Meghan Markle happy as a new member of the British Royal Family, only to see their efforts burnt down time and again by the American actress and her deeply unhappy husband Prince Harry. It’s easy to understand why many of the previously devoted courtiers are now convinced the couple were on a self-destruct mission from day one, looking for any slight, aggrievement or apparent discrimination to weaponise against the institution that was working so hard to appease them. These staff members, many of whom had personally devastating exits from the employ of the Sussexes, have been unable to speak publicly, even to correct the record, constrained by draconian confidentiality provisions of working for...

After Fire Department divers recovered the boy, he was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital in "very critical condition," officials stated. WFLD reported that the child's mother left the boy in the care of his grandmother on the day of the incident. Moreno, who lived at the grandmother's home, allegedly took the child and brought him to the pier by stealing a vehicle from her family. Prosecutors said Moreno "stole the keys" and "snuck out of the residence without anyone knowing that she had left." Moreno was not allowed to drive because of medications she was taking for mental illness, according to WFLD. Allegedly, this was not the first time Moreno had taken young family members without permission. According to a police report, the aunt initially denied knowing the boy. Later, she allegedly said she was holding onto the child's shirt but let go because he started "acting up." The medical examiner's office reported that Josiah Brown succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, almost one week after the incident. Given the recent announcement of the child's passing, additional...

The son of Michigan news anchor slain in alleged murder-suicide attempt by a 'family friend' was in critical condition following brain and ear surgery after being being beaten and tied when he tried to fight his father's killer.  Police said WWJ950's overnight anchor, Jim Matthews, 57, invited a 'frequent visitor' to his Chesterfield Township home outside Detroit.    Shortly thereafter, police were called to the residence, and found Matthews dead and his 35-year-old girlfriend, Nichole Guertin, seriously injured, having been stabbed multiple times. Their 10-year-old son, Hunter, was found tied up in a closet suffering from head trauma. Police said the boy was brutalized after he tried fighting off the murderer, who is in the hospital and has yet to be named.   Hunter was promptly hospitalized, where he underwent brain and ear surgery and is currently sedated as he 'goes through the biggest challenge he has yet to face,' his aunt, Ashley Quigley, said.  Quigley, who described the attack on her sister's family as 'vicious' and 'needless,' has started a GoFundMe page to support her family as she is also taking...
