A new addition to the pageant's panel of judges for 2023, Austin told The U.S. Sun that her experience "was like a dream." "I had a glam squad for a week, security guards, I had Starbucks delivered to me every morning. I was kind of pampered for a week." by Tim Young   Another day, another biological male stealing the spotlight from biological females in the name of feminism and equality. A new Miss Universe was crowned on Saturday and the transgender owner of the organization, Anne Jakrajutatip, took to the stage claiming to “celebrate women” and the supposed female-led future the beauty pageant. Jakrajutatip took over ownership of the Miss Universe Organization last year from IMG Worldwide LLC, which previously bought the pageant from former President Donald Trump. Jakrajutatip is the first transgender owner of the organization in its 71 years of existence—or, as Jakrajutatip now claims, the “first woman owner.” Jakrajutatip even criticized the organization’s past for being male-owned, even though, taking biology into account, the status quo hasn’t changed at all. “It has been 70 years that [sic] Miss Universe organization has been run by men,” Jakrajutatip stated. “But now, time is up. [Now] is the moment really for women to take the lead.” Jakrajutatip’s speech was met with roaring woke applause from the audience as the transgender business mogul declared, “From now on it’s gonna be run by women, owned by...
Former beauty queen turned anti-LGBTQ activist Carrie Prejean is back, and declaring that the Miss Universe Pageant now being owned by a transgender women is a declaration of “war.” In 2009, Miss California, Carrie Prejean, gained national attention for her response to a question by a gay blogger at the Miss USA Pageant about same-sex marriage. What followed were repeated efforts to capitalize on her anti-LGBTQ fame, including a short stint as a spokesperson for NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, an anti-LGBTQ organization that aggressively attempted to prevent same-sex couples from gaining the legal right to marriage. (That group to this day, according to its website, is chaired by John Eastman, the now-infamous attorney and author of Donald Trump’s “coup memo,” which promoted the false claim that Vice President Mike Pence could refuse to count certain state electors in an attempt to overturn the results of a free and fair presidential election.) EMILY Austin is proving to be a name to watch in the NBA world. Austin told The U.S. Sun how she'd met members of the New York Knicks during her pageant days, prompting her to reach out to players like Mitchell Robinson and Enes Kanter to come on her show. The show proved to be a swift success, inadvertently introducing her to a former MTV producer which lead to her first TV role on Music Lives On. Before long, she had signed a Puma sponsorship and was working for Sports Illustrated, as a host for boxing events including Battle of the Platforms, Social Gloves, and the all-NFL matchup between Adrian...
KYIV— Ukraine’s contestant for Miss Universe 2023, Viktoria Apanasenko, says she will never forget “the painful pageant” that took place in New Orleans last week. On Saturday—the day of the finale—a Russian missile struck the city of Dnipro in central Ukraine, hitting a nine-story residential building and killing at least 41 people, including four children. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Apanasenko said she had spent the morning of the finale watching heartbreaking videos of fellow Ukrainians dying in the aftermath of the attack. By evening time, she was doing her final pageant walk in a black dress—“symbolizing the grief of Ukrainian people,” she explained—on a stage she shared with the Russian participant, Anna Linnikova. “I am more than grateful to Miss Universe for their support, but I am not sure the organizers understood what it felt like for me to be standing and smiling on the same stage with Miss Russia who was wearing a red dress, the color of blood,” Apanasenko told The Daily Beast on Tuesday. (The Miss Universe Organization did not respond to a request...
CONTROVERSY has surrounded the Miss Universe pageant since its finale on Saturday. This prompted theories to begin to circulate online, while even rapper Cardi B admitted to being "angry" about the results. Now, one of the pageant's judges, 21-year-old Emily Austin, has spoken to The U.S. Sun about the claims. A former Miss New York competitor, Austin currently works as a sports reporter, activist, and advisor to the United Nations' Israeli delegation. The Miss Universe Organization has denied allegation that the beauty pageant was rigged so that R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States could win the competition, slamming the claims as 'absurd'. Controversy has surrounded Gabriel's win on Saturday night, with Anne Jakrajutatip, the transgender Thai businesswoman who bought Miss Universe last year, accused of foul play. But the organizers said the allegations were 'false' and 'absurd', adding that the claims 'distract' from Gabriel becoming the first Filipino American to be crowned as Miss Universe.  And Amy Emmerich, the CEO of Miss Universe, said the results of the competition were handled and verified by a top accounting firm after Gabriel, 28, beat runner up Miss Venezuela, Amanda Dudamel. As you might expect, observers on Twitter have been sharing some strong reactions to Jakrajutatips speech: "The new boss of the Miss Universe contest proclaims it will now [be] run by women and will celebrate feminism, inadvertently forgetting perhaps that he is, in fact, a man," noted Peter Whittle, founder and director of the New Culture Forum. "With this guy running things, you should expect to see a lot more dudes competing for Miss (soon to be “Mx”) Universe," tweeted Delano Squires, a contributor to TheBlaze. The vice president of Miss USA was forced to quietly step down amid accusations that he sexually harassed contestants and sent a video of his penis to an aspiring model, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal. Max Sebrechts – whose wife Crystle Stewart is the powerful national director of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA – left his job in January after multiple 2021 contestants claimed he sent them inappropriate messages and hugged a girl in her hotel room. His departure was kept largely under wraps until a bombshell email outlining the alleged misconduct was copied to multiple top execs across Miss Universe and its parent company Endeavour in June, accusing them of covering up a #metoo scenario.  The anonymous complaint – also shared with DailyMail.com – accused Sebrechts of 'hitting on' a string of 2021 finalists who feared they would have no shot at winning the storied beauty contest if they complained about his 'disgusting display and abuse of power.' The whistleblower included snippets of messages allegedly sent by Sebrechts, including an invitation for one girl to come to his presidential suite to take in...
