Schriger's girlfriend Madison, 21, her close friend Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Kernodle and her boyfriend Ethan Chapin, 20, were all stabbed to death in the off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho on November 13. 'She was the first person I talked to every morning and the last person I talked to before bed,' Schriger said. 'She was the person that I loved most.' Comedian Bob Saget spoke candidly about his struggles with depression in an interview just eight months before he died. The actor, known for his role as Danny Tanner in the ABC show Full House, told Radio Rahim in May 2021 how he had a big ego as he rose to fame - but it was really a façade to mask his feelings of depression. 'I would have been medicated in today's world in my 20s for extreme depression - like carrying it around all the time,' he told Rahim's Til This Day podcast in an episode that first premiered Wednesday. 'I would also act out and I had a very bad temper and I would yell - I never hit anybody, but I would yell,' Saget admitted. 'It was upsetting to do that. 'And I would do that in relationships, I would do it with my ex-wife, I did it in almost every relationship I've been in,' he said, adding: 'Sometimes, alcohol would add to that.' The only thing that kept him going at that time, Saget told Rahim, was...
President Joe Biden choked up Tuesday in Buffalo when he talked about one of the Tops supermarket shooting victims, who was killed while shopping for a birthday cake for his young son.  'Andre Mackneil, 53, worked at a restaurant. Went to buy his three-year-old son a birthday cake,' Biden said pausing, overcome by emotion. 'His son's celebrating a birthday asking, "Where's daddy?"'  Biden spent the entire top of his speech recognizing the 10 people killed in the racially motivated attack.   'Jill and I have come to stand with you,' Biden said. 'And to the families we've come to grieve with you.'  'It's not the same, but we know a little bit what it's like to lose a piece of your soul. To lose a son, a daughter, a husband, a wife, a mother, a father,' Biden said, a reference to his son Beau, but also his first wife and baby daughter.  'You feel like there's a black hole in your chest. You're being sucked into it. And you're suffocating. Unable to breath. That's what it felt like at least to...

The nation's top infectious disease expert says he will be spending Christmas with his family and encouraged vaccinated people to celebrate the holiday with their loved ones. Over the weekend, Dr Anthony Fauci had said it was 'too soon' to say whether Americans can gather for Christmas. But just one day later, in an appearance on CNN on Monday, the director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases said his comments were 'misinterpreted' and that he was not telling people to forego family get-togethers.   'The best way to assure that we'll be in good shape as we get into the winter would be to get more and more people vaccinated,' Fauci said.  'That was misinterpreted as my saying we can't spend Christmas with our families, which was absolutely not the case.  'I will be spending Christmas with my family, I encourage people, particularly the vaccinated people who are protected, to have a good, normal Christmas with your family.' In an interview on CNN on Monday, Dr Anthony Fauci (above) said his comments on Sunday about how it was...

"I've always loved America," Foreman told host Brian Kilmeade during a Wednesday interview. What are the details?Woke culture has already surfaced at the Tokyo Olympics, as the crusading U.S. women's soccer team took a knee in a familiar protest before its opening-round contest Wednesday against Sweden — and then promptly lost 3-0, the heralded team's first defeat since January 2019. But Foreman will have none of it. If you’ve been paying attention, you know that due to a legal technicality, Bill Cosby will be released from prison today. I could speak about the way the technicalities work and the fact that basically the wealthy get one kind of justice and the poor do not, though not as eloquently as others. There have been plenty of poor people who were convicted that did not have the access to premier legal counsel that would look for technical mistakes in the same way. Poor people almost never have the means or ability to get out of rushed sentencing. Due to their poverty, they’re forced to take bad plea deals or compelled to admit to crimes they might not have committed. Bill Cosby wasn’t one of those people.  Discussing rape and sexual abuse in America is beyond difficult. Rape victims are encouraged to submit to a rape kit, but the backlog on processing them is immense—delaying justice, sometimes to the point of making the effort worthless. We also have a tendency to idolize our celebrities as though they are not human beings who can do...

CNN media analyst Bill Carter said Sunday on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) lowering American flags in recognition of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s death was not appropriate. Anchor Brian Stelter said, “Rush Limbaugh died Wednesday at the age of seventy. He has been remembered as a hero to some. He is remembered as a hate-monger on the left. He was clearly a harbinger of many political changes in this country. Now the governor will fly the flags at half-staff in Florida in the coming days whenever the funeral is scheduled. What is your reaction to that decision?” Carter said, “Well, it’s kind of shocking because, first of all, you know the Governor of Florida is just playing for conservative attention in doing that. But the justification is really questionable. Look, Limbaugh had a huge following and was very popular among a group of right-wing listeners, but he wasn’t a heroic figure.” He continued, “He had a lot of incidents that were extremely questionable, and his views were pretty ugly, and they hurt a lot of people. They...

"Tiger King" star Carole Baskin is further defending herself against accusations she played a role in the mysterious disappearance and death of her first husband, Jack "Don" Lewis. In a new interview with Fox News, the big cat enthusiast recalled what a "challenge" it's been to be accused of Lewis' death. In 1997, Lewis went missing and was ultimately declared dead by authorities. Baskin, who has never been charged with a crime related to the cold case, spent much of 2020 releasing statements refuting the accusations made in the series by her chief rival Joe Exotic, also known as Joseph Maldonado-Passage, as well as Lewis' kin. Baskin claims the Netflix docuseries "gave a megaphone to disreputable people who painted the situation to make people believe that narrative." "It's been a challenge with everything else that's going on to have people accusing me of things that I know are untrue," Baskin shared. What was it about Alex Trebek? For more than 35 years, the dry-witted Jeopardy! host beamed into living rooms across America with a simple but precious goal: celebrating knowledge for knowledge’s sake. In doing so, he became something of a paternal figure—a wonk with a dry sense of humor who, for 30 minutes each weeknight, really wanted us to remember our European history. On Sunday Jeopardy! announced that Trebek had died after a long, public battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old, and had been open about his grueling health struggles. Even so, he filmed 35 new episodes in the week before his death. (The final installment is set to air on Christmas.) It didn’t take long after Trebek’s death for the tributes to begin pouring in, as Jeopardy! players and fans alike looked back on his indelible impression on the culture—and the enigmatic persona that helped fuel it. “He was on your side, you know?” former Jeopardy! champion Buzzy Cohen told The Daily Beast. “He wasn’t trying to increase the pressure; he wasn’t trying...

Amanda Marcotte August 4, 2020 5:05PM (UTC) One of the most frustrating things for both Democrats and the investigative journalists who worked tirelessly to expose Donald Trump's seemingly unending frauds, was how little Trump's base seemed to care that he was a liar and a cheat. The evidence of Trump's sociopathic disregard for business ethics, or any ethics at all, is overwhelming. Trump cheated people who worked for him, finding ways to refuse to pay them. He spent decades engaged in tax fraud, reaping hundreds of millions through the process. Trump's claims to be a billionaire appear the inverse of reality, where he was a billion dollars in the red, making him the photonegative of a billionaire. Trump University was a scam, described in court as preying "upon the elderly and uneducated to separate them from their money." Trump's supposed charitable foundation was also a scam that faked giving to worthy causes but operated largely as a way for Trump to pay bribes and pay down his personal debts with other people's money. Trump's real estate business was drowning in fraud, with the entire family engaging in practices...
