Getty Owner Jim Irsay, general manager Chris Ballard and the Indianapolis Colts. When Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts, spoke with the media on the impending search for a head coach. Irsay promised to search from a “deep pool” of candidates, and Irsay has certainly delivered on that aspect. To date, the Colts have completed seven interviews, have requested an additional three, and have still have an interview ahead with interim head coach Jeff Saturday. “There’s a lot of great candidates out there. I think there’s a lot of great candidates in college. I think the pool needs to be broadened somewhat more. There’s some great college coaches that may be capable. There’s some unknown coaches that may be capable.” Irsay said on the hiring process. Irsay has certainly broadened the pool of candidates, and while he has yet to bring in a college coach for an interview, Irsay and the Colts have cast a wide net. Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) defended WNBA basketball star Brittney Griner after a Fox Business host noted she previously knelt during the national anthem. Griner was released by the Russian government on Thursday as part of a prisoner swap with the United States. The Biden administration handed over convicted arms dealer Viktor Bout in a trade that rankled many conservatives who view the deal as lopsided in Russia’s favor. Appearing on Fox Business Network Friday morning, Crenshaw was asked for his reaction by host Stuart Varney. “Look, we’re all glad that Brittney Griner is home safely,” Varney said. “But she kneeled for the national anthem in the past. What do you want to hear from her now that she’s returned?” Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who left an eye behind in Afghanistan, said he doesn’t need to hear her say anything. “Look, she doesn’t owe us an explanation necessarily” he replied. “I’m glad she’s home, alright? She’s in Houston. Obviously, we share that hometown. The question we’re all asking from the policy and political level is, was this a proper trade?...
There is nothing worse than a bad sequel. Yet that's exactly what we are watching right now – it's Trump's version of Jaws 2. Just like the movie, Trump has completely lost the plot. He's forgotten what made him a success the first time he ran for president. Now he's – sadly – stuck between playing the big orange gorilla of 2016 and the tame politician of 2024. And it just doesn't work. In fact, it is becoming more and more apparent every single day that Trump's once iron grip on the GOP is slipping away. The Trump reboot hit the theaters about two weeks ago with a completely lackluster, low-energy 2024 announcement. He attempted to show Republican Party that he could control himself this time, like a big boy. He tried to make the argument that he is the party's only hope if they want to jolt America out of the malaise of the Biden years. He read off the teleprompter and – mostly – avoided talk of deranged stolen election conspiracies. But of course, that didn't last. When...
Tending to a bloodied Keith Moon when he erupted from a wardrobe, arms and legs flailing, wood splintering. Turning a blind eye to the very intimate antics of Anita Pallenberg and Ronnie Wood on board a private plane. Fending off the unsubtle advances of some of the most famous men in 1970s rock . . . To former children’s nanny Sally Arnold, such hair-raising episodes were all, quite literally, in a day’s work. The first female tour manager to some of the wildest rock bands in history, Sally was spectator at — and sometimes active participant in — a music scene that has since come to define the word hedonistic. But, as she recounts in a new memoir, it was her qualification as a Norland Nanny, one of an elite brigade of childcare specialists favoured by royalty and celebrities, that made her the perfect woman for the job. A woman feared her lips would 'burst' like 'humongous sausages' after an allergic reaction to filler dissolver. Adriana Thomas, from Brisbane, had been getting lip filler once or twice a year for the last seven years when she finally decided to get her 'migrated, ducky pout' dissolved. The 26-year-old says she has never suffered a reaction to filler and so expected getting it dissolved to go smoothly as well, especially since she didn't have a reaction to the patch test. Adriana Thomas, from Brisbane, Australia, feared her lips would 'burst' like 'humongous sausages' after an allergic reaction to filler dissolver But after the dissolver was injected into her lips she says she felt them swelling immediately and within minutes they had quadrupled in size, leaving her hardly able to talk. Adriana joked this dramatic change in her appearance left her looking like the giant-lipped cartoon character Fungus from Disney Pixar's Monsters Inc. Getty Emmanuel Moseley with the pass breakup on October 9, 2022. While preparing for the Atlanta Falcons in West Virginia before their Sunday, October 16 showdown, a constant question being brought up is what will the San Francisco 49ers do with the spot Emmanuel Moseley vacates. Moseley is out with a torn ACL. Meanwhile, Jason Verrett has been practicing after coming back from his own ACL tear of a year ago. Yet, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic on Friday, October 14, it’s not looking like the veteran Verrett will be a fill-in for the injured Moseley. “I did not see Jason Verrett at the start of practice for the second straight day. We’ll see what [Kyle] Shanahan says in an hour but it seems unlikely Verrett will come off of PUP for the Falcons game,” Barrows tweeted. “Next man up” is more reality than cliche when it comes to the 49ers. It came up again and again following a 37-15 road win Sunday over the Carolina Panthers, during which the 49ers lost edge rusher Nick Bosa to a groin injury, place kicker Robbie Gould to a left leg injury and cornerback Emmanuel Moseley to a possible torn ACL that could end his season. They went into the game already missing both of their defensive tackles, Arik Armstead (both feet, ankle) and Javon Kinlaw (knee). Left tackle Trent Williams missed his second game with a high ankle sprain. Lead runner Elijah Mitchell went down to an MCL strain in Week 1 and won’t return until after. Trey Lance, their quarterback of the future, is done for the season with a broken ankle. Tight end George Kittle (groin) missed the first two games. Free safety Jimmie Ward returned from a hamstring strain after missing four games and promptly broke his hand against Carolina. Azeez Al-Shaair, a starting linebacker, is out with an MCL strain. So is left tackle Colton...

A Hooters waitress who previously went viral for her hack that doubled the size of her 'flat' chest has revealed she was fired from her job after the restaurant hired a new manager who was seemingly jealous of every other employee who had been  there longer than her and fired them.  Kirsten Songer, 22, recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina. Men are lonelier than ever as they struggle to meet the higher dating standards of modern women, according to a psychologist. American psychologist Greg Matos wrote in a recent Psychology Today article that the current state of young and middle-aged men's love lives shows they need to 'address a skills deficit'. He said: 'I hear recurring dating themes from women between the ages of 25 and 45: They prefer men who are emotionally available, good communicators, and share similar values'. Yet, he claimed he's found that modern men's biggest problem is communication, which is 'the lifeblood of healthy, long-term love'. It comes as data shows dating apps are overrun with men - who represent 62 per cent of users - and figures collected in the US in 2019 showed more men than women were single. Men are lonelier than ever as they struggle to meet the higher dating standards of modern women, according to a psychologist (stock photo) Dr Matos said society fails to teach young boys the importance of communication, which has resulted in growing numbers of unintentionally single men. Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images The Suns decided to keep DeAndre Ayton, derailing the plans of the Pacers. If that ruffled the feathers of Myles Turner, Indiana may have to make a trade. In what was a surprisingly fast-paced process with the NBA frozen from Kevin Durant/Kyrie Irving/Donovan Mitchell trade anxiety, the DeAndre Ayton free agency saga concluded with the Phoenix Suns matching the four-year, $133 million offer sheet of the Indiana Pacers on Thursday. The Pacers made roster moves to open up the max contract slot and appeared to be calling the bluff of the Suns, who had a falling out with Ayton over the last year. Phoenix chose to keep their disgruntled 23-year-old center, who was a restricted free agent, and now the Pacers have to look to a plan B. Perhaps that is simply for them to welcome their own potentially unhappy big Myles Turner back to the fold and re-sign him. Turner is entering the final year of his four-year $70 million extension he signed back in 2018, and the Pacers appear ready to go in...

Japanese castaway Masafumi Nagasaki, 87, who spent 29 years on a deserted island before being forced to leave by Japan's government, returned to his paradise home on June 16 for a final goodbye. Japan's 'naked island hermit' was the only inhabitant of the Sotobanari island for almost three decades, which is only a kilometre wide and located in the Okinawa archipelago, near Taiwan. The 87-year-old is said to have been a photographer before fleeing civilization to live on the island, saying he wanted to live the rest of his life alone.  His story was revealed to the world when a local fisherman discovered him lying on the beach almost unconscious in 2018. When authorities observed him, they reported that he looked weak and frail, with the Japanese government forcing him to return to civilization.  On June 16, after four years of living in the city of Ishigaki, he decide to go back home. But the group responsible for returning him said his stay can only be temporary, as he can no longer look after himself.

Wild new photos show Rep. Madison Cawthorn, who recently accused his fellow lawmakers of inviting him to orgies and doing cocaine in front of him, dressed in women's lingerie, chugging wine and surrounded by women.  The photos, which were obtained by Politico and look to make even the most devoted partiers blush, show the 26-year-old Republican with a vacant look in his eyes, wearing women's hoop earrings and a woman's necklace along with a bra and lingerie set.  Screenshots of the photos were provided by someone who used to be close to Cawthorn and his campaign. A second former confidante of Cawthorn verified the photos. It's unclear when they were taken, but he appears to be sitting in his wheelchair, indicating they were taken after the car accident that left him paralyzed in 2014.  Cawthorn brushed off the photos on Twitter Friday evening, and claimed it was all part of a cruise game.  'I guess the left thinks goofy vacation photos during a game on a cruise (taken waaay before I ran for Congress) is going to somehow hurt me? They're...

Schools across America are racing to make up for time they lost during the pandemic by budgeting billions of dollars for tutoring, summer camps and longer school days and trying to untangle which students need help most urgently after two years of disruptions. Many schools saw large numbers of students fall under the radar when learning went online for the pandemic. Many skipped class, tests and homework. Record numbers of families opted out of annual standardized tests, leaving some districts with little evidence of how students were doing in reading and math. Now districts are trying to address that lack of information by adding new tests, training teachers to spot learning gaps and exploring new ways to identify students who need help. In many districts, the findings are being used to guide the spending of billions of dollars in federal relief that’s meant to address learning loss and can be used in myriad ways. New York City is adding three rounds of testing this year, hoping to pinpoint which students are behind. Similar tests are being used in Virginia’s Fairfax...

(CNN)For more than 33 years, investigators in Norton Shores, Michigan, tried to figure out what happened to Stacey Lyn Chahorski, a young woman who left home to travel the country and last spoke to her mother in September 1988. Attorney generals throughout the nation are investigating whether TikTok is harming young users' mental health by using deceptive tactics to lure them into the widely-popular video sharing platform. A bipartisan coalition of top state prosecutors from eight states - including California, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Jersey, Tennessee and Vermont - are leading the probe after leading a similar movement for Instagram. The previous multistate coalition had urged Meta to scrap intentions of launching a version of Instagram for children younger than 13. Their lobbying led the company to hit the pause button on those plans. Now, the AGs are turning their attention to TikTok, which has been scrutinized previously for harming attention spans and being addictive for young users. They'll examine whether the company is breaking state consumer laws and knowingly putting children's mental health at risk. Two-and-a-half weeks after Inventing Anna premiered on Netflix, Vogue is calling out the hit series for '[blurring] the lines between reality and fiction in a peculiar way' — and in particular, the fashion bible is coming to the defense of fake heiress Anna Delvey's Vanity Fair editor pal Anna DeLoache Williams. Anna, whose real last name is Sorokin, allegedly conned Rachel out of $62,000 after promising to use her supposedly ample funds to pay for a first-class trip to Morocco — and then leaving Williams to foot the bill.  But Anna wasn't found guilty of larceny in relation to the incident, and Inventing Anna seems to imply that Rachel may have had it coming due to her greed and shallowness.   In a new piece titled 'Why Does Inventing Anna Turn Its Victim Into a Joke?', British Vogue editor Hayley Maitland takes issue with Netflix's portrayal of Rachel, accusing the series of confusing the villain with the victim — and misleading viewers about who Rachel really is. Vogue has come to the defense of Rachel DeLoache Williams, a former friend of fake...

WHEN it comes to hiring staff to work in the Cambridge household, it will come as no surprise that Kate Middleton has incredibly high standards. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rely on a trustworthy team to help them run their home of Kensington Palace, with trust being the operative word. Splash 1 Kate Middleton requires staff at Kensington Palace to be incredibly discreet There is a zero tolerance approach towards gossiping as job advertisements for the roles of housekeeping at the couple’s London home have previously revealed. Any one hoping to work in the family’s home should be good at “maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion” according to previous posts on the Royal Household website. It is unsurprising that Kate and William would rather keep their private life just so, especially with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis under the same roof. This is not the only rule that the Cambridges instill on the staff members, with the children’s nanny Maria Borrallo banned from using certain words at home. Maria, who trained at Norland College in Bath, and Norland...

Ten years ago, baby-faced men were passed over in Hollywood for rugged looking stars with more traditionally masculine looks.  But today more feminine-looking actors with delicate features, shorter stature and symmetrical faces are more in demand because they appear to younger viewers, experts claim. Gen Z audiences are drawn to celebrities like Tom Holland, Timothée Chalamet and Harry Styles who embody a 'brand of enlightened non-toxic masculinity', according to beauty expert Laura Kay.  Their symmetrical, heart-shaped faces also make them more photogenic and therefore more popular on Instagram, which has become a key part in the Hollywood marketing machine.  These non-traditional leading men also benefit because younger generations are more tolerant of things which would have seen as 'abnormal' in the past, such as height differences or attitudes to gender, says dating and relationship expert Alex Mellor-Brook.   Tom Holland, 25, who is dating his co-star Zendaya, also 25, for example, is 5ft 8in, shorter than one might expect for a Hollywood A-lister, while Harry Styles, 27, proudly steps out in feminine clothing and has released a range of nail polishes.   Gen Z audiences...

The Denver Broncos entered the season with mild expectations and seemed like a team that would have a fairly decent season, but they didn’t appear to be the type of team that could crush a potential Super Bowl contender. During a recent interview, former President Donald Trump was asked by Newsmax host John Bachman about the re-hiring at Fox News of Decision Desk Director Arnon Mishkin, who called Arizona for Joe Biden during the networks coverage of the 2020 election. "He also backed Obama and Hillary I'm told," Bachman told Trump. "Why do you think they hired him back?" "I think it's terrible that they hired him back," Trump replied. "He made a terrible call, it was a terrible thing to do. When you look at the numbers that came out and the findings from the report ... when you look at those numbers, we won Arizona by a lot, we won other states by a lot -- it was a rigged election -- I think it was a disgrace that they hired him back."Watch the video below: 10 11 2021 12 03 10 www.youtube.com From Your Site Articles
Friday afternoon, MLB Network offered a broadcast booth featuring Bob Costas, Buck Showalter and Jim Kaat for their coverage of the Chicago White Sox-Houston Astros playoff game. With White Sox infielder Yoan Moncada making his first plate appearance of the game, the 82-year-old Kaat began to offer a compliment to the young power hitter, but the conversation quickly became awkward, and ultimately offensive. “I don’t’ know how much you’ve seen of Moncada, but everybody talks like this guy should be a star, an All-Star,” Kaat said. “That’s what they look like,” Showalter responded. “I don’t know about the rest of it. The first time I saw him in the big leagues I looked around the dugout and said ‘Can we have one of those?’ That’s what they look like.” “Get a 40-acre field full of ’em,” Kaat requested. The comment from the 82-year-old former pitcher and longtime broadcaster was met with silence, until Costas eventually called the next pitch. Moncada was born and raised in Cuba, leaving the island in 2014 after receiving permission from the government to pursue a...
