Former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton said he is prepared to run for president as a Republican to stop his former boss from tearing up the Constitution. On his social media platform Saturday, Trump called for a series of extreme measures to install himself as president – including the “termination” of the country’s Constitution. “So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION?” Trump wrote. “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!” Trump has since made an effort to walk back the statement. On NBC’s Meet the Press Now Monday, Bolton told network host Kristen Welker he might feel required by duty to jump into the GOP primary in order to stop...
Former national security advisor to President Donald Trump, John Bolton, signaled his willingness to throw his hat in the ring for the presidency in 2024. "When you challenge the Constitution itself, that is un-American. If the current GOP presidential candidates don't repudiate Trump, I'm prepared to get in the race," tweeted Bolton Monday. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dodged a question Thursday about whether President Joe Biden should run for re-election in 2024.  'I'm not going to get into the politics about whether the president should run or not,' the top House Democrat told reporters at her weekly press conference.  Before refusing to outright endorse another Biden run, she said: 'President Biden is the president of the United States.'  'He did a great service to our country. He defeated Donald Trump. Let's not forget that,' she continued. 'If you care about the water we breathe, the water we drink, the education of our children, jobs for their families, pensions for their seniors - any subject you can name.'  Pelosi is the latest Democrat to hedge on whether the current occupant of the Oval Office should appear at the top of the ticket in two years.  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dodged a question Thursday about whether President Joe Biden should run for re-election in 2024
Manhattan voters are going to the polls on Tuesday for an election that will end the political career of at least one longtime Democrat in the House of Representatives. New York is holding statewide primaries, but the fight for its 12th Congressional District is shaping up to be the most consequential election for Empire State Democrats in decades. A newly-redrawn Congressional map has pitted House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler against Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who chairs the Oversight Committee. Also vying for the seat is progressive attorney Suraj Patel, who came within a few thousand votes of beating Maloney in the 2020 Democratic primary and has consistently called for a new generation of leadership in Congress. Another incumbent Democrat, Rep. Mondaire Jones, is fending off a crowded field of primary challengers in the newly-redrawn 10th Congressional District. That race is being led by Dan Goldman, an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune who served as lead counsel in Democrats’ first impeachment of Donald Trump. Goldman has pumped $2 million of his own money into the race, far outspending his competitors....
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Just one week from the final day of voting in the primary for the Los Angeles mayor's race and the candidates are getting out the vote.Congresswoman Karen Bass went door to door in Baldwin Hills Tuesday, while the other candidate atop the polls, developer Rick Caruso, toured businesses in Pico-Robertson, talking with supporters at the Beverly Hills bagel company."Everybody needs to get out and vote. I encourage people to get out and vote. It's an important election for the direction of this city," said Caruso. There's some very clear choices. Obviously, I hope everybody votes for me, but I think the more important thing, this is an important time to exercise one of the most important constitutional rights you have which is to vote."Eyewitness News asked Caruso about a controversial comment he made to the L.A. Times suggesting an army camp for undocumented children at the Texas border at Fort Bliss could be a good model for housing the homeless in L.A."My reference to that was how they got it constructed, how quickly they got it...
The House Ethics Committee is probing whether Democratic Rep. Marie Newman of Illinois promised a government job to Iymen Hamman Chehade in exchange for him not running against her in the 2020 primary. If that is the case, she would have broken federal law and House rules, the ethics panel said in a 13-page report released on Monday.   The panel said they had 'substantial reason' to believe Newman made such a move and recommended a further review from the Committee on Ethics. The report has a profound impact on the political futures of both. In October, Newman announced she would challenge fellow Democratic Rep. Sean Casten in the 6th congressional district after the state's redistricting process placed her ina district represented by Rep. Jesús 'Chuy' García of Chicago that is nearly 67% Latino.  And Chehade is running in the Democratic primary for the open seat in the newly created 3rd Congressional District. That district is Newman's old district. The ethics probe found that during the 2020 primary contest, Newman made Chehade 'certain promises about future employment in her congressional office' that were given...
I woke up to yet another think piece about 'The Frustrations of Kamala Harris' in The New York Times. It is an interesting piece, worth your time, and it lays out a long list of examples of why our Vice President is failing to rise to the occasion and the opportunity of her office. The report also explains why she is not 'the heir apparent' to the nomination for the Democratic ticket for president if President Biden decides he will not run again in 2024. What is different about growing concerns and criticisms of Vice President Harris is that some of the harshest judgments of her shortcomings are being written most aggressively in mainstream liberal media outlets like this December 23rd edition of The New York Times. It is no longer just commonplace for those of us on the right to find all the justifiable reasons why our Vice President is failing and seemingly embarrassing herself, and by default the administration, in the process. Journalists and commentators on the left understand that putting 2024's eggs in the Vice President Harris...
Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace gave a bleak assessment of the current state of the Biden presidency on Friday while discussing the ongoing Congressional negotiations on Biden’s social agenda and the latest polling in the Virginia gubernatorial race. Appearing on America’s Newsroom Friday, Wallace argued that the Biden presidency is “not in good shape” and “that the fact of the matter is that [Joe] Biden doesn’t have enough juice. Not with Republicans. He doesn’t have enough juice with his own party.” While discussing Biden’s efforts to get Democrats to pass the infrastructure bill, Wallace said, “I have been covering Washington for 40 years and you don’t put the president in a room … unless you know what the result is going to be.” “And you normally know the result because people are too supportive of him or too scared to buck him. But, that’s not true with Joe Biden,” Wallace argued, highlighting progressive Democrats’ willingness to defy the president. The Fox News anchor added that a key election next week might lead to Democrats distancing themselves even further from...
The Pentagon has confirmed an additional operation where U.S. military assets left the packed airport in Kabul in order to bring in stranded Americans by air in the rush to meet the August 31 evacuation deadline. 'So last night, during the period of darkness, there was an operation to be able to go out and safely evacuate evacuees back into Kabul. They're at HKAIA, and they're safely there preparing to be evacuated,' Army Maj. Gen. Hank Taylor said at a Pentagon briefing, referencing the crowded airport in Kabul.  Taylor was vague on the precise details of the operation, saying it was 'outside of the airfield, and we were able to bring them back to Kabul safely. 'It was inside Kabul,' Pentagon spokesman John Kirby clarified. He said it involved 'less than 20' people, but said he was not going to provide additional details, amid a tense security situation around the airport.  Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the US currently has about 5,400 troops in Afghanistan, and confirmed a night-time helicopter operation to bring fewer than 20 Americans into the...
New Delhi (CNN Business)Jeff Bezos wants to spot NASA up to $2 billion in a bid to reignite the battle for space between his rocket company Blue Origin and Elon Musk's SpaceX. The world's richest man appealed to NASA Administrator Bill Nelson in an open letter Monday, offering to cover billions of dollars in the US space agency's costs. In doing so, Bezos hopes Blue Origin can be reconsidered for a contract to build the vehicle that will land the next astronauts on the moon. His unusual proposal comes a few months after NASA chose SpaceX over Blue Origin for a $2.9 billion contract to build the vehicle. The billionaires space race is only just beginningThe agency originally intended to have at least two private-sector companies compete to build the spacecraft that will ferry astronauts to the lunar surface for the Artemis moon landing missions — a project called the Human Landing System (HLS). But in April, NASA made the surprise announcement that it would move forward with SpaceX as the sole contractor for the project, citing costs as a...
(CNN)Three years ago, a video went viral of a group of teenage students chanting the n-word at a private party in Southlake, Texas. Now, as the school district tries to incorporate cultural awareness into the curriculum, a group of parents is fighting back. Southlake is not a racist community -- that was the consensus among many parents at a school board meeting for the Carroll Independent School District in Southlake on Monday. The meeting took place after the city's elections over the weekend, which saw huge wins for candidates opposing the district's plans. Two candidates for school board, two for city council and the mayoral candidate all won with about 70% of the vote. They were all endorsed by the Southlake Families PAC, a group whose main issue is Carroll ISD's new Cultural Competence Action Plan, which was formed in response to that 2018 viral video. The plan, which was set to be presented for adoption last August before being postponed, aims to address racism in the district by emphasizing "cultural awareness" among students through anti-bullying programs and assembly speakers, according...

Fans have gone to desperate lengths to watch a popular speedway race by renting cranes to peer over into the stadium after social distancing guidelines prevented them from entering. The supporters were spotted high above the Stadion Żużlowy Motor Lublin in Poland on Sunday as they watched the national Speedway Extra League. The stadium, which has a capacity of 13,000, is only allowed to fill 25 per cent of its seats during events amid the coronavirus pandemic - and so fans decided to take matters into their own hands.  Fans have gone to desperate lengths to watch a popular speedway race by renting cranes (pictured) to peer over into the stadium after social distancing guidelines prevented them from entering Many of the fans lit flares (pictured) late into the night as they looked down on to the track from a similar height to that of the stadium's floodlights The eager speedway enthusiasts stood on the cherry picker platforms in groups of two or three with the shortest at around 65 feet (20 metres) off the ground. Kanye West has reportedly decided to call it quits on his run in the 2020 Presidential election, less than two weeks after he first marked his entrance into the race.   According to the Intelligencer, West hired campaign staff who were looking into getting his name listed as a third-party candidate in Florida and several other states, but the team has now been told the bid is off.  Steve Kramer, an election strategist hired by West to focus on getting his name on the ballot in Florida and South Carolina, told the publication on Thursday, 'He’s out'. Yet, West's bid was serious and there were 180 people working in the ground in Florida when the decision was made to call the effort off, Kramer said.  The rapper, 43, has not publicly commented on whether his run for the presidency is continuing.  Kanye West's bid for the presidency has allegedly come to an end, just ten days after it began  West, pictured above with President Trump in 2016, announced his bid against Trump and presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden in a...
