Which is it, Harry? Are you the military tough guy who brags about your body count in Afghanistan, or the frightened prince, who cowers in front of your brother and rushes to call your therapist? I don't think you can be both. In possibly one of the grossest revelations – and that's saying a lot - to leak from Prince Harry's yet-to-be-officially-released memoir is the claim he killed 25 Taliban fighters during his time serving in the British army. Now, I am obviously not a member of the U.S. military, and I do not diminish Prince Harry's military service to his country, which fights alongside mine. But I am a sister, daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, sister-in-law, and friend to many and active service members, and I have never heard anyone so brazenly brag about how many people they've killed. Already, retired British military members are expressing how disgusted they are with the disclosure. Former Royal Marine Ben McBean, who served alongside Harry tweeted Thursday: 'Love you #PrinceHarry but you need to shut up! Makes you wonder the people he's hanging...
The is the astonishing moment a 12-year-old football player destroys his rivals - after social media users cast doubt on his age due to his moustache and tattoos. Incredible footage shows Jeremiah Johnson from Fort Worth, Texas, blitz through the opposition's defense before slamming into the receiver. The star athlete is also seen sprinting through his rival's line and scoring an impressive touchdown in the clip shared online. It comes after he whipped up a storm on social media as users refused to believed the tattooed youngster - who also has a moustache - was really 12. The new footage was shared by Johnson on his Twitter page under a post by NBA star Carmelo Anthony. The basketball player had posted two shots of him with Lebron James with the caption 'brothers'. Johnson replied to the post with a collage of some of his performances and two pictures of him with trophies. He also cc'd into the tweet Las Vegas Raiders' wide receiver Davante Adams, who has yet to reply. RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next Bad boy for...

Many people around the world take to online marketplaces to sell unwanted Christmas presents or pre-loved items they no longer have a need for.  But these adverts caught people's attention for all the wrong reasons and left customers in stitches. Online listings from around the world were shared by the State of Selling Twitter account, with the very best examples collated by Bored Panda.  They included one person who decided to sell a sequin pillow of serial killer Rose West thinking it was John Lennon.  Another seller decided to get rid of a coffin after he no longer needed because his 'nan didn't die'.  Here Femail shares some of the most hilarious adverts spotted online...  Awkward! IT IS an unfortunate commentary on Paul Pogba that he will be missed from English football this season nearly as much for the colour of his hair as his talents on the field. You never quite knew what he would burnish on the top of his head. It could be pillar-box red touched off with white, or ultramarine with a band of dirty cream. 3Paul Pogba departed Manchester United at the end of last season after his contract expiredCredit: AP 3Pogba returned to Juventus in the summer after six years away from TurinCredit: Getty Images - Getty Then again, Old Trafford has been blessed with the sight of rich orange, stars, a lipstick kiss, a leopard-skin pattern and blue-and-white tassels. He spends more money on his hair than any woman I know! He can afford it. He earned — maybe paid is a better word — £15million a year with Manchester United and is said to have a £100m fortune. Which rather suggests there will be plenty more hairstyles in Turin now he has moved on a “free” to Juventus....
AFTER Arsenal agreed to farm out Nicolas Pepe on loan to Nice, an extraordinary pattern of transfer activity was completed this summer. It meant that Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and the Gunners have all allowed their club-record signings — who cost a combined £313.5million — to depart without a single penny being recouped in transfer fees. 4 4Paul Pogba left Manchester United for nothing earlier this summerCredit: GETTY 4Chelsea recently loaned out record signing Romelu LukakuCredit: GETTY 4Arsenal have done the same with flop winger Nicolas PepeCredit: GETTY There is little surprise that those four members of England’s ‘Big Six’ have been left trailing in the wake of Manchester City and Liverpool in recent seasons, with such haphazard and shambolic recruitment. And no wonder that clubs on the continent talk of ‘stupid English money’, knowing they can fleece filthy-rich Premier League sides in the market. First, United’s £89m man Paul Pogba was allowed to leave Old Trafford for Juventus on a free — for a second time — after a largely miserable six-year spell for the French World Cup winner....
L.A. mayoral candidate Rick Caruso has vowed to create a designated office within city hall with the sole purpose of protecting Hollywood if he is elected, bringing music to the ears of the stars who have endorsed him.  Caruso, a billionaire former Republican real estate tycoon, made the promise in an interview with The Ankler this week. He is running against Democrat Karen Bass in the November election on a platform of tackling crime, homelessness and bringing an end to a steady stream of 'career politicians' who he says have ruined the city.  Part of his plan if elected is to create an office within his office that is dedicated to protecting Hollywood.  'I'm going to have a separate office within the mayor's office that's just going to focus on the entertainment industry.  'We have to have the cost of doing business for the entertainment industry, frankly, all businesses, but the entertainment industry to be lower in the city of Los Angeles,' he said.  Rick Caruso with Gwyneth Paltrow, one of the many stars to have endorsed him in his...

On the radio program, Glenn Beck and Pat Gray asked why, at a time when Europe is having record inflation, food shortages, and is on the eve of possible war over oil, we would send these two to represent the United States? MSNBC on Friday refused to deny that outgoing White House press secretary Jen Psaki had signed a deal to become its new star host after it was claimed some staff were angered by her alleged hiring.  Psaki, 43, carried out her last press briefing on Friday, fighting to hold back tears at the end of a 16 month stint that saw her hold 224 briefings - more than all four of Donald Trump's press secretaries combined. On Friday evening, a spokesman for the network refused to confirm what is believed to be the worst-kept secret in TV news - that Psaki left her prestigious job to launch a career with the liberal network.   In April news broke that she was in talks with various news broadcasters about a post-White House role, and it rapidly emerged that she was in exclusive talks with MSNBC for a multi-million dollar contract to have her own show.  Questions were asked how she could continue to do her job impartially while in contractual negotiations with one of the media outlets she dealt with daily. Psaki...
A BBC journalist on a work trip to the U.S. was mocked for sharing a shot of a BB gun for sale in Walmart after apparently mistaking it for a real firearm. The journalist, Padraig Belton, whose work has appeared on the BBC and in The Guardian, sent out the unfortunate tweet on April 26.  According to Belton's Twitter feed, he arrived in the United States on April 25. Upon arrival, Belton realized that he didn't have a plug adaptor for this laptop. Belton wrote in the message, 'Hi from America. Where Walmart doesn’t have a plug adapter for my UK laptop. But on the other hand, I can buy a rifle and ammunition.'  The photo that started the storm. Belton tweeted this photo and wrote: 'Hi from America. Where Walmart doesn’t have a plug adapter for my UK laptop. But on the other hand, I can buy a rifle and ammunition' It's unclear if Belton was serious in his tweet, as he has covered numerous war zones in his journalistic career.  From there, the journalist went to a Walmart...
'The show must go on' is the cardinal rule of showbusiness; its first and only commandment. And yet Adele, whose record-breaking singing career is a global phenomenon, was today waking up to a huge backlash after deciding that she 'wasn't ready' for a megabucks series of concerts in Las Vegas. Fans, many of whom had paid up to £9,000 for resold tickets and had already travelled long distances for the opening night, were left angry and out of pocket when Adele opted to pull the plug at the 11th hour from the string of concerts that would have netted her £500,000 a show. Gillian Rowland-Kain, 32, was already on her flight to Las Vegas from New York with her twin sister when she found out about the cancellation via social media. The attorney from Brooklyn said: 'I was furious that Adele waited so last minute to make this call.  I recognise it's not a call any artist wants to make but she would've known yesterday that the show wouldn't be ready by tomorrow. 'Her lack of notice is astounding. I'm...
A derelict home in San Francisco with one bathroom, zero bedrooms, boarded-up windows, and a patchwork of mismatched flooring has sold for nearly $2 million. The property, located in the  Noe Valley neighborhood, was auctioned off in a conservatorship sale and fetched $1,970,000 — $600,000 above its asking price. But for such a steep sale, the buyer isn't getting a spacious mansion or even a remotely livable home: The broken-down house clearly hasn't been renovated in decades, with dilapidated exterior, peeling walls, and a kitchen featuring mid-twentieth-century appliances. Yet the realtors insist: 'This the worst house on the best block, making it a fantastic opportunity.'  A derelict home in San Francisco with one bathroom, zero bedrooms, boarded-up windows, and a patchwork of mismatched flooring has sold for nearly $2 million The property, located in the Noe Valley neighborhood, was auctioned off in a conservatorship sale and fetched $1,970,000 The kitchen looks unchanged from the mid-1900s, featuring stained floors and cabinets and a stove that looks like it was installed in the beginning or middle of the last century The house, built...
A larger-than-life charmer in a high-powered job, he dined at the most exclusive restaurants, enjoyed the finest cigars and was rarely without a drink. So the question on everyone's lips yesterday – following the shock death of Sex And The City's Mr Big – was did he have it coming to him? His fatal heart attack after a session on his Peloton exercise bike had the company producing a cardiologist to insist it certainly had nothing to do with his workout. And an analysis of his lifestyle and background would seem to support their case. Ever since his first appearances on the show in 1998, Big has liked a drink. We've seen him sloshing down hundreds of large glasses of wine – red and white – on dates, at home and at parties. He's also revealed a taste for Martini cocktails filled to the brim and huge tumblers of whisky in times of crisis. Such regular boozing is known to raise blood pressure, and uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to a heart attack or stroke. But on top of...
Fans have rushed to social media to praise Paul Judd as 'better loooking than ever' after he won People's Sexiest Man Alive title this week - and pictures prove he's barely aged since hitting our screen three decades ago.  The actor became a household name as Cher's unlikely heart-throb in 1995 hit Clueless, playing Alicia Silverstone's awkward ex-stepbrother Josh Lucas, aged just 26. And this week the Hollywood star, 52, won People's Sexiest Man Alive title, reigniting the much debated topic of how he manages to look so young. The father-of-two has barely aged since making his screen debut as a fresh-faced 22-year-old in a 1991 Nintendo advert, before starring in 1992 drama series Sisters, where he played a supporting role as aspiring filmmaker Kirby Quimby. Showing off an almost line-free face as he appears on the cover of People magazine with the hashtag #crushforlife, Paul looks almost identical to when he hit our screens three decades ago.  And while Tom Cruise, 59, sparked filler rumours when he appeared at a baseball game in San Francisco recently looking fuller-faced, Paul Rudd's...
THERE are certain boxing incidents so revolting they can never be erased from the memory, though they took place decades ago. What happened to Michael Watson 30 years ago today was one of the worst. 4Michael Watson's near-fatal injury against Chris Eubank 30 years ago was preventableCredit: Chris Smith 4The fight and injury to Michael Watson changed boxing foreverCredit: News Group Newspapers Ltd He was transformed from a 26-year-old super-fit fighter into a mental and physical wreck — and the reason can only be described as an abomination. Reliving the terrible scenes I witnessed from ringside at White Hart Lane on that 1991 evening still sends a shiver down my spine. Because it was preventable. Michael’s fate was sealed because of the British Boxing Board of Control’s sickening incompetence. Had the essential medical team been in place that is now obligatory, there is every likelihood Michael would have been able to lead a normal life. Looking back, there was a typical build-up to his return with Chris Eubank for the vacant WBO world super-middleweight title. There was a certain amount...
Britney Spears proudly showed off her engagement ring on Sunday evening after her long-term partner Sam Asghari popped the question.  And it is little wonder the songstress is so proud to showcase the bespoke Forever Diamonds NY sparkler - thanks to its exquisite four-carat round brilliant stone in a platinum cathedral setting and four-prong solitaire design.   The pop star, 39, revealed the happy news via Instagram on Sunday, sharing a smiling video of her flashing her ring while fiancé Sam peeked in.  Experts at RareCarat.com estimate the Roman Malayev-designed ring, which has the word Lioness engraved inside the delicate band, would have set Sam, 27, back an eye-watering $70,000 (£50,630).  Wedding bells! He's single, handsome 30-something with a £19billion family fortune, so it is easy to see why Kim Kardashian might want to party with British property scion Jamie Rueben. The reality TV star, 40, who filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, set tongues wagging when she was spotted arriving at Jamie's 34th birthday party at a Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday night. Jamie is the son of Mumbai-born property magnate Simon Reuben, one half of the Rueben Brothers who own large parts of London's Mayfair, including the 200-year-old Burlington Arcade, of which Jamie is managing director.  It's not known how Jamie and Kim know each other but they move in similar circles. Jamie has partied in Cannes with Paris Hilton - Kim's childhood BFF - and is friends with California-based media mogul Scooter Braun, who manages Kardashian family friend Justin Bieber.   Jamie is also 'old friends' with Princess Beatrice and has rubbed shoulders with Boris Johnson.  But while his A-list friends love the spotlight, Jamie prefers to stay out of the public eye. Indeed such is the intrigue surrounding...
From eBay to Facebook Marketplace, the internet is full of people selling unconventional items, but as proven by these images not every product attracts buyers. Diply has rounded up a selection of the weirdest items from around the world that have been advertised for sale online - including damaged furniture, homemade artwork and even used coffins. Among the images is a man from Idaho who took to Twitter with a snap of a sofa covered in snow that was advertised on Facebook Marketplace. Elsewhere, is another man from the U.S, who went viral after he offered to sell eggs topped with peanut butter and jam for $20.  Diply has rounded up a selection of the weirdest items from around the world that have been advertised for sale online - including a Facebook Marketplace user from the U.S, offering a leather sofa covered in snow  Egg-cellent! Q: We lost out on another home purchase yesterday. The frustrating part is that we never know exactly why. After our buyer’s agent submits our proposals, the seller’s agents become almost noncommunicative. At best, a seller’s agent will only state that the sellers chose the best offer. We are questioning if we are being represented correctly by our buyer’s agent. He can’t tell us why the sellers do not give us a chance to improve our purchase offer. We have not received one counteroffer. Nor have we been notified by an agent representing sellers asking if we would consider raising our price. Our buyer’s agent can’t even tell us what will occur after buyers have submitted all offers. Is this normal in this market? In other words, if we hire another buyer’s agent, will we have the same complaints? A: Probably. So suppose a home is not under contract the day after offers are collected and reviewed. In that case, the sellers/seller’s agent might: issue multiple counteroffers to the top No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 buyers (for...
Well, the brave new world of honesty in American politics lasted a grand total of 24 hours. President Joe Biden promised an immediate end to the constant lying from the White House that we endured over four years of Donald Trump's tenure. But then he couldn't help himself and promptly spewed the kind of brazen, bare-faced, media-bashing whopper that Trump would have loved. Biden's made a big noisy deal of setting a target of 100 million coronavirus vaccines in his first 100 days. But he knows that hitting this target would be a completely bogus 'achievement' because the US is already at that level of vaccination, averaging 914,000 daily doses administered last week according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and rocketing to 1.6 million on the very day of Biden's inauguration. So, at this rate, the goal will be easily attained, and masks the reality that America could and should be aiming a lot higher. That, though, wasn't the lie. That was just the kind of under-promise, over-deliver type of sneaky political spin designed to grab headlines...
Unlucky in love singletons have recalled some of their most memorable dating disasters. Taking to the Twitter thread #IOnceDatedAPersonWho, thousands of people from across the globe have revealed their toe-curling stories of dates from hell.   Among the most hilarious tales includes one person whose potential suitor got arrested on their first (and only) date for shoplifting a Christmas CD, and another whose love interest used to 'wash his feet in the kitchen sink' - adding 'that was honestly one of his better features.' Elsewhere, one joked: 'I once dated someone who told me that I looked fitter without my glasses on. Well guess what hun, you looked fitter too when I didn't have them on.'    People from across the globe have taken to Twitter to reveal their very toe-curling stories of dates from hell. Pictured, stock image While many of us have been on dates we'd rather forget, these singletons have trumped us all with their shocking revelations.  One singleton told how he dated an 'actual psychopath' who thought cracking an egg on his stomach 'would be sexy' - adding...
His books are a masterclass in the dark arts of concealment, offering up their secrets stealthily, with one invariably leading on to another. But figuring out their author, the spy writer John Le Carré, is like peeling off layers of the Russian dolls made famous by the TV adaptation of his most successful novel, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Le Carré, whose death at the age of 89 from pneumonia was announced on Sunday, wrote about treachery, betrayal and tragedy.  Yet it was only decades after the publication of his breakthrough book — and international bestseller — The Spy Who Came In From The Cold that we learned how much the morally ambiguous world he described was formed by personal experience. That his father was a philandering fraudster and ‘five-star conman’ and his mother deserted the family home when he was five would surely make any young man secretive and inward-looking.  This wounded, shaming childhood turned Le Carré into someone who, as he put it, ‘had to protect myself from discovery’. John Le Carré, pictured with his family, died following...
To mark ten years since their engagement, we are running a major series on the compelling rollercoaster story of how William and Kate got together. Last week, we told how, after dating for four years, they split up – with William dumping her in a phone call to her office. Here, in the final part, with new insights, we chart how they rebuilt their relationship which many believe has helped save the Monarchy...  The Royal love affair – between a future King and a coal-miner’s great-great-granddaughter – had gripped the nation, but it was over. Prince William, still troubled by his parents’ toxic divorce, had got cold feet over marrying his university sweetheart Kate Middleton. In April 2007, weighed down by the millstone of anticipation from the public and Palace officials alike for an engagement announcement, he had called time on their four-year courtship. Kate Middleton, pictured, was wearing a 1970s-style sequin dress and a huge sparkling ring on a night out in Mahiki nightclub  During the time she and Prince William had split, she was seen in...
BOOK OF THE WEEK HITLER AND STALIN by Laurence Rees (Viking £25, 528pp)  During the early summer of 1941, one of Stalin's commissars wrote to the Soviet leader warning him that 'a source' had told him German planes were on stand-by to attack Russia, bringing the non-aggression pact with the Nazi regime to a sudden and violent end.  Stalin not only refused to believe the information but was furious at the very suggestion that his precious agreement with Hitler would not hold. In reply, he scrawled across the note: 'Tell your "source" that he can go f*** his mother.' Five days later, Hitler's armies crossed the border and Operation Barbarossa, intended to wipe out the Soviet Union, was under way.  From this we learn two things. First, that Stalin was the one duped by Hitler into agreeing (two years earlier) to the unlikely peace deal between the two rival superpowers, despite the ideological chasm between them. Stalin thought it would last; Hitler never had any such intention. Even as Operation Barbarossa was happening, Stalin was slow off the mark and refused...
There are many reasons why King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand may not inspire unwavering respect from his 70 million subjects. To begin with, there is his penchant for wearing teeny-weeny crop tops, very low-slung jeans and enormous fake tattoos. Then there is his messy love life — the 68-year-old is on his fourth wife, whose company he shares with his official concubine, recently back in favour after a brief and brutal hiatus.  And there is his bizarre obsession with his late poodle Foo Foo, whom he liked to dress in full Royal Thai Air Force regalia, including ‘paw mitts’, and seat at official dinners. Maha also regularly insists that courtiers crawl on their knees towards him, orders anyone out of his favour to have their head shaved, and once made a wife eat out of Foo Foo’s dog bowl while she was semi-naked.  A Royal Household Bureau handout photo shows Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun wearing a crown during the coronation ceremony at the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand, 04 May 2019 In this photo released by Bureau...
