The 25 best episodes of The Office, ranked Insider secrets for saving time and money at Costco Bills coach Sean McDermott decided to hinge his team's chances of beating the Titans on "Monday Night Football" on a play that ultimately didn't work out for visiting Buffalo. That play came with 22 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, when the Bills — trailing 34-31 — elected to go for it on fourth-and-inches from the Tennessee 3. Even if the Bills didn't get into the end zone, a conversion would have given them a fresh set of downs and two or three more attempts for a go-ahead score. The 25 best episodes of The Office, ranked Insider secrets for saving time and money at Costco The Tennessee Titans didn't play a lot of defense on Monday night. But they did stop Josh Allen from getting a half of a yard when he needed it most.  The Buffalo Bills gambled on fourth down and less than a yard in the final seconds. Instead of taking a field goal to tie it, the Bills went for the first down inside the 5-yard line. And when Allen took the snap for the quarterback sneak, he didn't seem to get great footing and the Titans defense stopped him cold.  The Titans, carried by Derrick Henry's three-touchdown night, escaped with a thrilling 34-31 win.   If the Titans go on to win the AFC South, or the Bills fail to get the No. 1 seed in the AFC by a game, that fourth-down decision and the failed execution will loom large.  Bills-Titans had a ton of scoring The game was a shootout from the start.  Derrick Henry busted a 76-yard run, recording the...
Never did two questions matter so much for the future of California. Shall Gavin Newsom be recalled from the office of governor? If so, who should succeed him? While Newsom easily fended off the recall and will serve out his remaining 14 months, political analysts will be studying the numbers, and in particular, the percentage of voters who didn’t answer the second question. Partial results show that the second question garnered nearly 4 million fewer votes than the first. According to a UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll cosponsored by The Times and released on Friday, nearly a third of likely voters said they would take a pass on voting on the second question, a number that increased to 49% among the state’s likely Democratic voters. The term is called “ballot roll-off,” and for Thad Kousser, a professor of political science at UC San Diego, the decision to leave the second half of the ballot blank is “shocking.” “This is not healthy for democracy,” he said, “because it leaves only a fraction of our electorate voting in this...
