Adrian allegedly told the police that he was fighting with his mom about money and other issues. He was tired of fighting and wanted it to be over, the documents claim. It is unclear if Adrian meant to drive his car into a crowd of people, killing one and injuring 17 others, as the police have claimed. The police did claim, however, that Adrian fought with his mom earlier on Saturday evening and felt "extremely frustrated" when he was driving to her house.

Missing 'van-life' girl Gabby Petito was reportedly seen hitting boyfriend Brian Laundrie in the arm during a tense argument in Utah, two weeks before she mysteriously disappeared, according to police. As he approached the vehicle the officer noticed Petito...

A Wall Street Journal op-ed has sparked fury after it argued Jill Biden's doctor title 'sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic'.  Columnist Joseph Epstein, 83, labelled the future first lady, 69, 'kiddo' in the piece published Friday in which he said she should 'think about it and forthwith drop the doc'. Dr Biden holds a doctorate in education from the University of Delaware. During President-elect Joe Biden's eight years serving as vice president she was a full-time English professor at Northern Virginia Community College.  Epstein's words sparked a fierce reaction online with singer Pink, actress Debra Messing as well as vice president elect Kamala Harris' husband Doug Emhoff and her spokesperson Michael LaRosa, all rushing to defend Biden.   Former White House photographer Pete Souza shared an image of Dr Biden on a golf buggy, calling the piece 'ridiculous and misogynistic' and adding: 'The Dr. is on her way!⁣' LaRosa called the piece a 'disgusting and sexist attack' and said the paper should be 'embarrassed' to print it.  He added: 'If you had any respect for women at all you would remove this...
It’s the week before Election Day and the Senate is holding final debates on Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. The predicted vote layout makes Barrett’s confirmation a near certainty at this point, meaning she will be President Donald Trump’s third appointment to the court. Barrett’s appointment will mark a conservative 6-3 tilt for the Supreme Court as she replaces the late progressive Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Democrats opposed Barrett’s nomination by arguing that she will dismantle Roe v. Wade and the Affordable Care Act, in addition to arguing the 2020 election should decide which president will nominate Ginsburg’s replacement. Despite an unsuccessful filibuster attempt and procedural efforts to slow Barrett’s confirmation down, it is highly likely that her confirmation vote will succeed at about 7:30 p.m. Eastern, which will be followed by a swearing-in ceremony at the White House. Eating cheese just before bedtime might give you more pleasant dreams, but it will not affect the quality of your slumber — unlike arguing and checking your phone. This is just one of the sleep-related myths being busted by NHS doctor and UK television personality Ranj Singh to promote a healthier night's rest. Other activities to avoid right before turning in for the night include exercising, eating large meals and drinking caffeinated beverages.  Dr Singh also notes that the notion everyone requires a solid eight hours of sleep is misleading — with needs actually varying, from 7–9 hours each night. According to recent research from Kings College London, 60 per cent of Britons have had worse sleep since lockdown began, with 16–24 year olds most impacted.  Eating cheese just before bedtime might give you more vivid dreams, but it will not affect the quality of your slumber — unlike arguing and checking your phone. MARTINEZ — Days before he was set to be tried on charges of murdering his girlfriend, an Antioch man accepted a manslaughter conviction as part of a plea deal with Contra Costa prosecutors. Hang Lin, 33, will be formally sentenced Monday to 18 years and eight months in prison, in the stabbing death of 30-year-old Mei Juan Tang. Lin pleaded no contest to killing Tang and to pulling a gun on her two friends, who witnessed Lin and Tang arguing hours before the stabbing. The incident started in the night of May 18, when Lin and Tang were seen arguing at a home on the 4500 block of Big Horn Court, where they were operating a marijuana grow house. Tang’s two friends dropped by and attempted to calm Lin down, but he pulled a gun on them and they left, according to prosecutors. The friends did not call police. Roughly two hours later, Lin called 911 and reported that unidentified robbers had burst into the house and fatally stabbed Tang. Police determined Lin concocted the story and arrested him on...
