The Cowboys lost Randy Gregory to the Broncos but they could find an exciting replacement with Von Miller interested in heading to Dallas. Everything the Cowboys do this offseason will be focused on finally getting back to the Super Bowl. But sometimes things don’t go as planned. That’s what apparently happened with pass rusher Randy Gregory, who looked likely to re-sign with Dallas only to head for Denver instead. After suffering that free agency blow, the Cowboys could make an even bigger splash if reporting on Super Bowl-winner Von Miller holds true. Cowboys rumors: Von Miller has ‘strong interest’ in Dallas“Whiff on Randy Gregory but I’m told there is a very strong interest on Von Miller’s part in coming to Dallas,” Jane Slater of NFL Network tweeted on Tuesday. “Got a home very close to the facility.” So Miller is clearly looking at the Cowboys, but are they looking at him? CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM The Bengals had a trip to Denver coming up in December and Cincinnati's head coach was grateful he wouldn't have to worry about the Broncos' career sacks leader blowing up his game plan. "Little did I know," Taylor said with a chuckle this week as he calculated ways to keep Miller from tormenting Joe Burrow the way he did Cam Newton in Super Bowl 50 six years ago. Taylor said Miller commands special attention even at age 32 and on a team featuring Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. "There's no question," Taylor said. "Von Miller is Von Miller." THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) — Von Miller spent Monday in a sentimental daze after the Denver Broncos traded him. He went down into the memorabilia-packed basement of his Colorado home and tearfully contemplated his departure from the only NFL team he had ever known. By the time Miller boarded a plane Tuesday for the West Coast, the pass-rushing star’s eyes were dry — and his vision of the future was increasingly clear. “I went to sleep 4-4 and woke up 7-1,” Miller said with a grin. Miller participated in his first workout with the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday, the blue numerals on his bone-colored No. 40 jersey peeling off because of their hasty adhesion. Miller is already acquainted with Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey from Pro Bowls and offseason gatherings. He feels his overall comfort level rising by the hour as he embraces the opportunity given to him when the Broncos shipped out the face of their franchise for two high draft picks. The Rams already were a Super Bowl contender, and this former Super Bowl MVP is eager...
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — How do the Denver Broncos make sure Von Miller’s exit doesn’t extinguish their playoff prospects? It starts with everybody insisting they’ll be fine following the amicable divorce from the best defender in franchise history. “Nobody’s surrendering here,” coach Vic Fangio vowed before the team’s first practice since the deal that sent Miller to the Rams for a pair of 2022 draft picks. Less than 24 hours earlier, GM George Paton declared, “This is not a fire sale” and insisted the Broncos are still a postseason contender even though their 4-4 record “feels like 1-7.” They’ll have to play much better, especially offensively, to end their long playoff drought — their last postseason game was on Feb. 7, 2016, when Miller’s MVP performance secured the franchise’s third Super Bowl victory. A daunting schedule remains for the Broncos beginning Sunday at Dallas (6-1). Only two remaining opponents have losing records and all three division road games remain along with a home game against the Chiefs, whom they haven’t beaten since 2015. While Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy certainly would’ve...

Plus involved the guy he won the 2016 big game with? DENVER (CBS4) – He was known for sacks and tackles, chickens and deodorant. Von Miller sported a cowboy hat and endeared himself further to fans during his years in Denver. LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams share the NFL’s best record at 7-1 after their 38-22 rout of Houston on Sunday for their fourth straight win. They’re thriving on offense and steadily improving on defense — a clear Super Bowl contender for yet another season. So of course general manager Les Snead decided the time was perfect to use two high draft picks to acquire one of the most accomplished players of this generation. Von Miller’s move to Los Angeles on Monday is just the latest in a long series of audacious personnel moves by the Rams and Snead, the executive who will eagerly trade the murky future for the brilliant present. The Rams’ championship hopes are getting a midseason boost with the addition of Miller’s pass-rushing skills and leadership to a defense that already leads the NFL with 25 sacks. Miller also gets to line up with three-time AP Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald, whose attention-consuming dominance on the interior line has contributed to prolific pass rushing stats for Dante Fowler and Leonard Floyd in...
Next1 of 2Prev postUse your ← → (arrows) to browse After trading Von Miller to the Rams, the Denver Broncos appear to be sellers this season and should move quickly to capitalize on the trade value of its best assets.  Despite starting 3-0, the Denver Broncos have fallen to 4-4 after Week 8 and seem to be ready to punt the season and begin the build to next season. As a part of that, the Broncos have sent Super Bowl MVP and long-time franchise face, Von Miller, to the Los Angeles Rams for a 2022 second and third round pick. As the trade deadline, now less than 24 hours away, rapidly approaches, the Broncos appear to be sellers this year, looking to rebuild the team this offseason. The Los Angeles Rams have been hoarding veteran talent for awhile, but it isn’t leaving them with many draft picks in future years. If you’re a fan of the Los Angeles Rams, feel free to skip the 2022 NFL Draft. Rams general manager Les Snead hasn’t made a first-round selection since the team moved up to take quarterback Jared Goff in 2016. Since then, he’s either being paying off the move for Goff or using his best capital to trade for cornerback Jalen Ramsey or quarterback Matthew Stafford, who Goff was also sent to the Detroit Lions for. On Monday, Snead didn’t send a first-round pick (he didn’t have any) to the Denver Broncos but did part with second and third-round choices to acquire outside linebacker Von Miller. Miller, who has 4.5 sacks in seven games this season, will now play alongside All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald and opposite edge rusher Leonard Floyd to create a fierce pass rush in Los Angeles. However, all of Snead’s maneuvering has left Los Angeles with little in the way of draft picks. The Rams’...

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Von Miller is officially back. The Broncos star linebacker celebrated his return to the lineup with a pair of sacks against the Giants last weekend after missing all of 2020 with an ankle injury. His successful return, however, was really sealed Thursday when he turned his weekly podium appearance into something more of an open mic night as he’s done so many times over the past decade in Denver. Miller was asked what words of encouragement he might have for rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II in his first start Sunday at Jacksonville and he went on and on about the first-round pick’s attributes before finally finding something he can upgrade. “He carries himself in a way that there’s not too many things that you would give him advice about,” Miller said. “He pretty much does everything right.
