Like a hockey player who suddenly found himself in a fight he wanted no part of, Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell promptly turtled when asked if he’d rule out supporting Donald Trump for president in 2024. On Tuesday, CNN’s Manu Raju questioned McConnell during a briefing at the Capitol just days after Trump called for the “termination” of the Constitution so a new presidential election can be held. Trump falsely maintains the 2020 election was stolen from him. Several Republicans have distanced themselves from the remarks when pressed by reporters. Raju noted McConnell criticized Trump’s comment and observed this is the second week in a row the minority leader has done so. McConnell previously castigated Trump for having dinner with White supremacist Nick Fuentes. ‘This is the second straight week you’ve come out to begin your press conference criticizing Donald Trump,” Raju told McConnell. “Can you say categorically that you would not support him if he were the Republican nominee?” McConnell declined to answer outright. “What I’m saying is, it would be pretty hard to be sworn into the presidency...
Kanye West has revealed Donald Trump rejected his request to run under him in the upcoming 2024 election, less than a week after the rapper announced plans to once again run for president. In a two-minute campaign promo posted to Twitter Thursday, the embattled artist - who has faced backlash for his remarks disparaging Jewish people - expanded on those plans, revealing he met with Trump, 72, Wednesday to discuss them. Earlier that day, West, 45, was seen traveling with known white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, as he headed to  Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida before enjoying dinner with the former president. In the brief clip, West offered his own account of the sitdown, which he said saw him air his presidential aspirations to the former commander-in-chief, who announced his own renewed bid for the Oval Office last week. Titled 'Mar-a-Lago debrief,' the abrupt campaign teaser comes just days after West was spotted in Beverly Hills with the white supremacist, who has emerged as one of the leading figures of the far-right for his views on Jews and other minority groups. The pair then...
President Joe Biden joked around with reporters on Thanksgiving Day, when the 80-year-old president was asked when he would complete his annual physical.   'Do you think I need it?' the president asked. 'Part of my physical is already done and I'll be getting it before the end of the year,' he then answered.  Biden made history Sunday by becoming the first American president to turn 80 in office.  The family celebrated with a birthday brunch hosted by First Lady Jill Biden, as the extended Biden clan was gathered in Washington to mark granddaughter Naomi's White House wedding.  They're now spending Thanksgiving break in Nantucket - a place the president and first lady have frequented for the holiday since 1975.   'Do you think I need it?' Georgia’s Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan gave a very vague and non-committal answer when asked if he endorses Herschel Walker in the December 6th U.S. Senate run-off in the state. “You’re not going to have control of the Senate regardless of what happens in this race in Georgia, as you know. So given that, does Herschel Walker have your endorsement?” asked Bianna Golodryga following up on Duncan saying he would like to see the GOP in control of the Senate. “Yeah, I think it’s interesting to watch the statistics. AARP came out with a poll today that the AJC ran that 51/47, which is still within the margin of error breaking towards Warnock. And I think there’s, you know, a little bit surprising,” Duncan replied, adding: It feels like the delta should be more than that. But I think it’s one. Governor Kemp came out strong on Saturday in support of Herschel Walker, which obviously he he’s done well. But also, Donald Trump failed in his announcement. Right. It just seems like a national dud. And if it would have...
President Joe Biden shrugged off news of Donald Trump's presidential run during his visit to Bali on Wednesday, offering the briefest of comments about his possible 2024 opponent. He was asked if he had any reaction as he toured a mangrove forest with other world leaders. He shared a smile with President Emmanuel Macron of France before saying: 'Not really.' Then he returned his attention to the mangroves during a visit hosted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. It came during a busy morning for Biden on the final day of his around-the-world foreign policy blast. Second Gentlemen Doug Emhoff bristled after being asked if he chose the china patterns and was the party planner of the vice president's residence as his female predecessors did, but insisted he has 'a very healthy ego.'  Emhoff, 58, sat down with CNN to discuss his gender-breaking role as Second Gentlemen of the United States.  He is the first man to hold the title since his wife Kamala Harris was inaugurated as VP in January 2021, with the couple moving to the Naval Observatory in DC afterwards. When asked about how he deals with being second-best to his wife, the former entertainment attorney said he has a 'very healthy ego.'  'You have to put your ego aside though, it's not about you,' he told CNN. One of Danny Masterson’s three accusers told the jury at his trial Tuesday that the Scientologist actor raped her anally while she was unconscious – then laughed at her when she confronted him about it. And when Jane Doe #3 reported him to the Church of Scientology, she was told, ‘There was something I had done to deserve what he (Masterson) was doing to me.’   Jane Doe #3 - who became so emotional at one point that the judge had to call a 10-minute recess - told the court about a night in December 2001 when she and Masterson went to the LA bistro La Poubelle where they had dinner and she had ‘a glass or two of wine.’ ‘I remember getting up to leave, but I don’t have any memory after that,’ she said. The next thing she remembered, she told the jury, was waking up the next day, naked in bed at Masterson’s house where she lived with him. ‘I felt confused and I noticed my whole body hurt. The back of my head hurt and I noticed...

President Joe Biden admitted on national television that his son lied when purchasing a firearm by claiming he was not addicted to illegal drugs – while Hunter faces potential charges for providing a false statement on a federal form.  Biden, who turns 80 next month, said that he is 'proud' of his 52-year-old son for overcoming drug addiction and for writing a book detailing the problems he had with substances and what it led him to do. He also insisted that he was not aware of the gun purchase or Hunter lying on the form about his drug use at the time. 'He came along and said, by the way, this thing about a gun – I didn't know anything about it,' Biden insisted. 'But turns out that when he made application to purchase a gun, what happened was… I guess you get asked – I don't guess – you get asked a question, 'are you on drugs, or do use drugs?' He said no. And he wrote about saying no in his book,' the president said in a confusing...
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) recently avoided answering critical questions about whether or not he would support exceptions for abortion when it comes to rape and incest victims. The comments were made during an interview that took place on Sunday, October 9. When asked about the necessary provision, Abbott focused solely on his priorities which include making sure doctors do "everything that they can to protect the life of the mother." Abortion has been a point of contention in Texas due to the state's deeply restrictive laws that went into effect after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade back in June. READ MORE: 'A cold war': Why Greg Abbott’s camp is privately 'annoyed' with Ron DeSantis The law, per Newsweek, "criminalizes performing an abortion from the moment of fertilization, unless the patient is facing 'a life-threatening physical condition aggravated by, caused by, or arising from a pregnancy.'" White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked Tuesday if President Joe Biden was responsible for gas prices going back up - after taking credit for them going down this summer.   'So it's a lot more nuanced than that, right?' she told Fox News Channel's Peter Doocy who posed the query. 'Peter, you know this.'  Jean-Pierre pointed to the 'global challenges' that the U.S. and other countries have had to deal with since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.  'There's been the pandemic and there's been Putin's war,' she noted.  White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked Tuesday if President Joe Biden was responsible for gas prices going back up - after taking credit for them going down this summer Price boards show gas prices in Los Angeles, California on Monday. Source: Screenshot Fox News contributor and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich insulted NBC News senior congressional correspondent Scott Wong when asked about the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. “What do you think about the January 6 Committee?” Wong asked Gingrich on Thursday. “I don’t,” said Gingrich, who was asked multiple times during a gaggle on Capitol Hill about the committee. “You have no thoughts about the committee itself?” asked Wong. “I think you have a learning disability,” said Gingrich, pointing a book at Wong. “Excuse me,” said Wong. “The fact is, I’ve said three or four times, I don’t talk about it,” said Gingrich, pointing at his own head. “Try the phrase: I don’t talk about it,” he added. Gingrich was on Capitol Hill to help House Republicans push their “Commitment to America” platform were they to take back the lower congressional chamber in November. It is inspired by the 1994 “Contract with America” that Gingrich co-wrote that helped Republicans win back the House that year after four decades of Democratic control. The January...
The royal photographer who captured the portrait of the joyous Queen that was released on the eve of her funeral has revealed Her Majesty's witty remark when he asked her to smile - and said he could instantly tell that the image was 'something special'. Ranald Mackechnie photographed the late monarch at her Windsor Castle home in May ahead of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Speaking to Lorraine today, he recalled how the Queen cheekily said: 'Well, you can't make me,' when he asked her to smile. She giggled when he replied with 'Well, you can try.' The unseen image was released ahead of Her Majesty's funeral at Westminster Abbey on Monday, and showed the beaming Queen dressed in a light blue dress, with her hair neatly curled. She wore her favourite three-strand pearl necklace, pearl earrings and her aquamarine and diamond clip brooches, which were an 18th birthday present from her father George VI.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Tuesday that President Joe Biden was answering a 'hypothetical question' when the president told 60 Minutes he would come to the defense of Taiwan if China attacked.   'He was asked a question, a hypothetical question in this interview,' Sullivan said at the White House press briefing. 'He gave a similar answer in Tokyo in May that he gave in the 60 Minutes interview,' Sullivan pointed out.  Sullivan reminded reporters that after Biden had been asked about Taiwan in Tokyo 'someone said specifically to him, "Have you just announced a major policy change?" and he said, "No, I have not, I have answered a hypothetical question. I have not announced a policy change."' 'When the president of the United States wants to announce a policy change he will do so. He has not done so,' Sullivan said.  During a segment on 60 Minutes, which aired Sunday, Biden answered 'yes' when asked whether 'U.S. forces, U.S. men and women, would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion.'  'Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented...
Former President Donald Trump completely dodged when asked to comment on Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) sending planes full of undocumented immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard. Trump phoned into Newsmax on Tuesday, where he was interviewed by Rob Finnerty and his former acting Director of National Intelligence, Richard Grenell. Grenell asked Trump for his thoughts about DeSantis’ controversial attempt to emulate Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s tactic of sending immigrants to blue states in order to generate political pressure for action on the border. But instead of answering the question, Trump decided to speak broadly about the border, slam Democrats, and claim that he could’ve finished building a wall on the southern border if he had just a few more weeks as president. I think that the border is such a disappointment because we had the safest border. We had the best border in the history of our country. We built the wall, and then I built additions to the wall, which could have been finished in three week. I built the majority of it, and everything we said we were going to...

Trump spoke with NDTV’s Sreenivasan Jain to discuss the state of politics and his future plans. At one point during the conversation, Jain asked Trump about the possibility of bringing his daughter, Ivanka Trump, on board as his potential running mate. “What about the media buzz that Ivanka might be your running mate? Is there any substance to that?” Jain asked. “That, Ivanka?” Trump said with a look of shock. “That my daughter? I never thought of that one. I’ve never even heard of that one.” “It’s in the media,” Jain assured. “Oh that’s an interesting idea,” Trump said. “That one I have not heard of, but she’s a very capable person — that I can tell you. But, uh, no, I have not heard that.” “Would you consider it?” Jain pressed. “No, I wouldn’t. Not my daughter,” Trump laughed. #NDTVExclusive | Former US President...

President Joe Biden has accused a Saudi official of lying about the topics discussed in his private meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while again downplaying his infamous fist bump with the prince. Early on Sunday, Biden arrived back at the White House from his four-day Middle East tour, and briefly took questions from reporters gathered on the South Lawn. Hours earlier, just after Air Force One had taken off from Jeddah, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir called a Fox News reporter and claimed that he 'did not hear' Biden confront bin Salman, known as MBS, over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Al-Jubeir's claim seems to directly contradict Biden's account of the meeting with MBS on Friday, after which the president said that he had raised Khashoggi's murder 'at the top of the meeting' and accused the crown prince of directing the plot. On the South Lawn, when asked if al-Jubeir was telling the truth about the meeting, Biden bluntly replied 'No'. President Biden, returning to WH, says Saudi FM not telling truthBiden then...
\u201cI'd love to continue this conversation, Keith, but first I have to know if you're able to define the word "woman." Please advise.\u201d — Matt Walsh (@Matt Walsh) 1657747215 Walsh has a "What Is a Woman?" documentary, as well as a book. The seemingly simple question, which anyone with a modicum of common sense should be able to answer, helps to highlight the absurdity of left-wing gender ideology. Sarah Lopez, a witness at a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday, said that getting an abortion was "the best decision" of her life and "an act of self-love." When Republican Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina asked if she supported infanticide, the murder of a child after birth, she said that she did not agree with the question's basis, but that she does "believe that abortion is health care." During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, University of California, Berkeley School of Law professor Khiara M. Bridges spoke of individuals who have a "capacity for pregnancy." Biden economic advisor Brian Deese said that Americans should 'stand firm' on paying record-high gas prices because the 'future of the liberal world order' is more important.  'What do you say to those families that say, 'listen, we can't afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years?' the director of the National Economic Council was asked on CNN Thursday.   'What you heard from the president today was a clear articulation of the stakes. This is about the future of the Liberal World Order and we have to stand firm,' he replied.  Deese added: 'At the same time, what I would say to that family and Americans across the country is you have a president and an administration that is going to do everything in its power to blunt those price increases and bring those prices down.' Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker defended his decision to not walk Aaron Judge in the June 23 game, and he used Chicago White Sox skipper Tony La Russa as an example. The Houston Astros seemingly had their series opening game against the New York Yankees. They did hold a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning, but that turned into a 7-6 loss thanks to a game-tying home run by Aaron Hicks and a walk-off RBI single by Aaron Judge. With Judge in the batter’s box with two runners on base and with a 3-0 count, Baker was asked by a member of the media why he did not walk the Yankees star outfielder. Baker said that if he had walked Judge and the next batter got a hit, he would be second-guessed for that decision like Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa. Asked if he considered just putting Aaron Judge on after it got to 3-0, Dusty Baker replied: “If I’d have done that and the next guy gets a hit, you’d be second-guessing me like...
United States Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) announced his bid for a third term in January despite having pledged to only serve two. "That's always been my game plan. I will say I never expected this to happen, though. The reality has changed from what I thought it would be in 2022," he said in 2018. "It is not a decision I have made lightly," he remarked in January according to PolitiFact, which rated his change of heart as a Full Flop. "Having already experienced a growing level of vitriol and false attacks, I certainly don’t expect better treatment in the future." Who would you vote for in 2024, Biden or DeSantis? Vote now. His reasoning remained elusive until Monday when Johnson – an outspoken conspiracy theorist and devoted follower of former President Donald Trump – finally offered a curious explanation as to why he ultimately decided to seek reelection. “I didn’t want to do this. I was happy with 12 years and go home okay? My wife really didn't want me to do this," Johnson recalled in an interview....
Sinclair added the following to the Daily Mail:There is always a form to fill in and that's fine — they tend to ask about medical conditions or diseases — and clearly that's because the blood needs to be safe. This time around, there was a question I hadn't seen before: "Are you pregnant, or have you been in the last six months?" which required a yes or no answer. I pointed out to the staff that it was impossible for me to be in that position, but I was told that I would need to answer, otherwise I couldn't give blood. I told them that was stupid, and that if I had to leave, I wouldn't be back, and that was it. I got on my bike and cycled away. It is nonsensical, and it makes me angry because there are vulnerable people waiting for blood, including children, and in desperate need of help. Former Trump senior adviser and campaign manager, Steve Bannon, took questions outside a D.C. courthouse Wednesday after a judge dismissed his motion to throw out the contempt of Congress charges he is facing. Judge Carl Nichols of the D.C. District Court found no standing in Bannon’s arguments that the Jan. 6 House select committee’s subpoenas were unlawful. The judge also shot down Bannon’s claims that he is protected by executive privilege, given his proximity to then-President Donald Trump regarding Jan. 6. Bannon will now go to trial on July 18th for failing to comply with the House subpoena. Speaking outside of the courthouse, while a protester held up a sign saying “Failed Coup,” Bannon was asked if his “goal” is an “autocratic-type MAGA rule of government.” Bannon answered by invoking Republican Mayra Flores’s win in a majority-Hispanic Congression District in Texas on Tuesday night, saying she won in a “blowout.” The reporter pushed again asking, “but in terms of ruling?” “By Democracy,” responded Bannon, adding: We believe in free and fair and transparent elections! And we’re winning everywhere! This is...
An interview with Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) on Tuesday got heated when the congressman was asked repeatedly about his actions on January 6, as well as his refusal to sit down with the congressional subcommittee investigating the Capitol riot. The congressman was recently listed as one of multiple Republican lawmakers being subpoenaed by the committee. Brooks, who is currently running for Senate, accused NBC reporter Vaughn Hillyard of “distorting” his past comments after the Republican was asked why he was wearing body armor when he spoke to a crowd of Donald Trump supporters on January 6th when he told them they need to be ready to “take names and kick ass” in upcoming elections. According to Brooks, the body armor was worn due to potential threats from “elements” of Antifa and Black Lives Matter, but he claimed it had “nothing to do with pro-Trump supporters.” “Do you regret stoking, by using those words, by stoking the crowd there that ultimately led to that attack?” Hillyard asked. “You are distorting my remarks when you say that,” Brooks responded. “Let’s be real...

Donald Trump considered dropping out of the 2016 presidential race amid fallout from the infamous Access Hollywood tape where he can be heard boasting about getting to 'grab [women] by the p***y,' a new book excerpt from Kellyanne Conway revealed on Sunday. Then-candidate Trump was apparently worried the Republican Party 'could force him off the ticket or hold a vote to expel him' over the embarrassing tape, leaked roughly a month before Election Day. Conway, a former top White House adviser and Trump campaign manager, recounted a crisis meeting with her then-boss over the audio in her forthcoming memoir 'Here's The Deal.' A copy was obtained by the Daily Beast. 'Should I get out [of the race]?' Conway recalled Trump asking her on October 8, 2016, a day after the decade-old tape was released.  The ex-adviser told him that he 'actually can't' drop out 'unless you want to forfeit and throw the whole damn thing to Hillary.' Trump wound up losing the popular vote to Hillary Clinton but swept the race with an Electoral College victory. 'What do you mean,...
President Joe Biden had a simple message for North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. 'Hello,' Biden answered when asked what he would say Kim. President Joe Biden on Tuesday would not call out Tucker Carlson or any other official by name even as he criticized them for touting 'replacement theory.' 'I believe anybody who acts as a replacement is to blame - not for this particular crime, but it's for no purpose, no purpose, except profit and/or political benefit. And it's wrong. It's just simply wrong,' he told reporters as he prepared to leave Buffalo. Earlier Biden called on all Americans to reject the 'lie' of the 'great replacement' conspiracy theory and slammed those who tout it as out for power and political gain. Biden issued his call in an emotional speech in Buffalo after a suspect killed 10 people during a grocery store shooting in what's being called a racially motivated attack. The president choked up when he talked about one of the victims, who was killed while shopping for a birthday cake for his three-year-old son. Phil Collins’s ex-wife Orianne picked her toy boy husband from a male escort site where he advertised himself as a 'sexy intellectual' with degrees in philosophy and political science, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal. She ‘insisted on dating’ Tom Bates and talked him into moving into the rock star’s $40million Miami Beach mansion with her after they secretly wed and while the pop legend was away, court papers disclose. But it was the start of a fiery relationship with Orianne, 48, physically assaulting her new husband ‘on several occasions’ – and once threatening to cut off his ‘private parts’, the filings allege. The Swiss-born jewelry designer’s ‘ferocious temper’ also saw Bates, 32, ‘scream for the housekeeper to help him exit the house to avoid Wife’s assault’, they add. Before things turned sour, the papers claim Orianne promised Bates half of her planned 50 per cent cut from the sale of Collins’s spectacular ocean front home once owned by Jennifer Lopez. Orianne and her escort husband Tom Bates were still together in November last year when they were pictured in Miami at...
A worker at a pizza place near where suspected Brooklyn subway shooter Frank James was found said the man came into his establishment in the early morning hours the day after after he wounded 29 people in a barrage of gunfire - and was apparently 'crying like a little baby.' Gentrid Hasangjekaj, 21, told the New York Post that James visited Stromboli's Pizza at St. Marks' Place at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday while the manhunt was going on. James, 62, was crying, according to Hasangjekaj, as he came in and was asking for help. 'He was crying like a little baby,' said Hasangjekaj, who didn't recognize James until he later saw a photo and realized he'd met him.  'He says, ''Oh, I lost my family,'' this and that, and I felt bad. I thought, ''Whatever, let me help.'''  Hasangjekaj said he tried to help the mystery man by giving him water and napkins at the time, and also letting him use his phone. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) declined to answer if he would “fellate another man” to end world hunger while speaking at Yale University on Monday. Cruz visited Yale University to record a live episode of his podcast Verdict, which he hosts with conservative political commentator Michael Knowles. While the two addressed hot topics such as intellectual diversity and the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, a question from a student named Evan really got the crowd going. “Assuming it would end global hunger, would you fellate another man?” Evan asked Cruz at roughly 1:37:47 into the clip. Cruz quickly dodged the question, passing it on to Knowles, who confirmed he would not perform fellatio on another man, no matter the outcome. “Like a typical left-wing undergraduate, you are engaging in consequentialist ethics,” Knowles said, noting that the question was likely a reference to American Psycho’s “That Yale thing” scene. Knowles went on to accuse the student of “attempting to justify flagrantly immoral behavior to achieve a good end,” adding, “And I tell you, my friend, the ends do...
A TikTok star who attended the Biden administration's briefing about Ukraine admitted that the cadre of Gen Z influencers were used as 'pawns,' but said that TikTokers who took the White House press team's information at face value were to blame.  The White House held a zoom briefing for about 30 popular internet figures, who promptly took to their social media accounts to talk about what they learned. Kahlil Greene, who calls himself 'Gen Z historian' on TikTok and has 540,000 followers said that a lot of his fellow social media stars 'seemed to repeat exactly what the White House was saying.'  'When I saw a lot of the conservative fallout from the event, saying that people were being used as pawns by the White House, it was hard to argue against that when the information being repeated about the session is just what we were told verbatim, without criticism.'  'I had the assumption going in that other creators coming out of this event would all have the same level of journalistic integrity and criticism in creating their content. There...

Marjorie Taylor Greene after she reported him to the Capitol Police for a joke he made about Will Smith slapping her.  Kimmel, speaking in a Kimmel Live segment titled 'Jimmy vs. Klan Mom' last night, said: 'She's dialing 911 because she got made fun of. She's a snowflake and a sociopath at the same time.  'A snowciopath, as we'll refer to her from now on... If she's going to report me to the police, if that's how she wants to play it, I'll report you right back.'  Georgia Republican Greene yesterday tweeted that she had reported Kimmel to the Capitol Police for making a 'threat of violence' against her with the joke.     She quoted a clip from Kimmel Live where the comedian said: 'This one Klan mom is especially upset with the three Republican senators who said they'll vote yes on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.'  He then read Greene's tweet about the Supreme Court nominee. 'Murkowski, Collins and Romney are pro-pedophile. They just voted for #KBJ.'   'Wow where is Will Smith when you...
