A HUGE Chinese rocket part is falling back to Earth in an uncontrolled decent – and scientists have warned that it could land anywhere. Debris from the 21-ton piece – which is the size of a 10-storey building – is expected to break the atmosphere soon, according to aerospace experts who are scrambling to determine its path back home. 1Long March-5B Y4 rocket carrying China's lab module Mengtian as it launched on MondayCredit: Getty It has prompted pleas for further information from the Chinese authorities after the rocket was launched from Tiangong Space Station on Monday. Gregory Henning, Project Leader at The Aerospace Corporation’s Centre for Orbital Debris and Reentry Studies (CORDS) suggested that there is still too much uncertainty in the data and models to make a prediction. “As the rocket body’s altitude decreases and the re-entry approaches, the window will shrink, and will begin to reveal locations that will not be the landing site,” Henning told the Daily Mail.   “But the exact location will not be known until it actually enters.” Read more on tech newsSTORM BREWING...
Getty Evan Fournier being traded doesn't make a lot of sense. The New York Knicks have some decisions to make before the season begins, and one of them is what to do with sharpshooting wing Evan Fournier. The Frenchman set a team record in three pointers made last season for the Knicks, so while New York didn’t make the playoffs, Fournier still had a historic year. Despite his contract and record-breaking year, it might not be enough to save his role in the starting lineup going into next season. “If the roster remains the same, my best guess is that Grimes will start at shooting guard,” predicts SNY’s Ian Begley. This doesn’t necessarily mean Fournier would be traded, however, and that idea “doesn’t add up” for Begley.Don’t Expect Fournier to Be MovedThe Knicks are looking to add shooting to the roster, as evidenced by the addition of Svi Mykhailiuk, so trading away Fournier wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense. “The idea that the Knicks need to trade Fournier doesn’t add up for me,” Begley said. “Fournier set...
Getty Images Josh Rosen of the Cleveland Browns talks with Deshaun Watson and Jacoby Brissett. The Cleveland Browns made it clear that Jacoby Brissett has no competition for the No. 2 quarterback spot and he’ll be the starter if Deshaun Watson misses any amount of time. The Browns brought in former first-round pick Josh Rosen before camp and there’s been some scuttlebutt about the team searching for other options via trade of free agency. However, head coach Kevin Stefanski made it very clear that Brissett is their guy if Watson is out. “Jacoby is our backup quarterback. If Deshaun is unavailable, Jacoby is the starter,” Stefanski told reporters at camp on July 27. The trick now for the Browns is splitting the reps between Watson and Brissett as they prepare for the year. Both are new to the team, playbook and personnel and need time working with the starters with the season approaching. “I would not get into the exact percentage, but they are both going to get a ton of reps,” Stefanski said. “Really, they both got...

It sounds like Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer is very aware of the fact Tim Tebow might not be on the team by the start of week one. The Jaguars sent shockwaves through the NFL when they signed the Florida Heisman winner as a tight end, and tons of fans are holding out hope that he makes a successful return to the league. However, some recent comments from his head coach don’t paint the most optimistic picture. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Jacksonville Jaguars (@jaguars) Meyer told USA Today the following about Tebow making the final 53-man roster and potentially playing in a regular season game: That’s new to me. That’s the reality of the NFL that you have 90 players [in training camp]. So to me, he’s one of 90. He’s a guy that’s — you know, what’s the difference between him and the other 40 guys trying to make the team? To me it’s all the same. This is their...

The Italy-based Virtual Telescope Project captured the craft, which appears like a glowing light, as it passed 435 miles above the group's 'Elena' robotic telescope. The Chinese rocket has made headlines this week when new surfaced the massive 22-ton vehicle would make an uncontrolled reentry weekend, with the possibility of landing in inhabited areas. The rocket was moving 'extremely fast' when it soared 435 miles above the Virtual Telescopes Project's telescope Wednesday evening.  Gianluca Masi, an astronomer with the Virtual Telescope Project who snapped the image, stated that 'while the Sun was just a few degrees below the horizon, so the sky was incredibly bright: these conditions made the imaging quite extreme, but our robotic telescope succeeded in capturing this huge debris.' 'This is another bright success, showing the amazing capabilities of our robotic facility in tracking these objects.' Indiana football coach Tom Allen thinks it’s a good time to expand the College Football Playoff. Allen and the Hoosiers are currently undefeated and control their own fate heading into the playoff. However, the man running Indiana would still like to see things open up and get to eight teams. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Indiana Football (@indianafootball) Allen told Dan Patrick the following Wednesday when asked about a potential eight-team playoff, according to Sports Illustrated: I think it would make a ton of sense. There’s going to be so many inequities with everybody’s schedule… It’d be a perfect time to expand that number. Doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen, but it sure would make a whole lot of sense. Look, I’m all for expanding the playoff to eight teams, and I’ve supported doing it ever since the playoff started. However, I don’t like this vibe out of Indiana. It almost feels like Allen is hedging in case they lose to...
Deion Sanders isn’t being paid a ton of money to coach Jackson State. Sanders sent shockwaves through the world of college football when he agreed to take over the FCS program. Now, Sports Illustrated has released his contract details, and he’s not going to make a ton of cash for a guy who already made millions playing pro sports. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) According to the contract obtained by SI, Sanders will make a base salary of $300,000 to coach the Tigers. The contract is also loaded with incentives, such as an extra $25,000 for a win over an FBS team. Sanders will also get 10% of ticket sales for any amount of tickets sold over 10,000. Obviously, Sanders’ contract is nothing compared to major college football coaches or assistants in the FBS. There are a ton of position coaches in the FBS that make substantially more than $300,000, and a head coach would never take the field for a P5 or G5 team for that kind of money.  ...

Lakers coach Frank Vogel is wary of his team’s first-round playoff opponent, the Trail Blazers, as they boast the hottest player in the league in guard Damian Lillard. Portland, No. 8 in the Western Conference seedings, secured a date against LeBron James and the top-seeded Lakers with a play-in victory Saturday over the Grizzlies inside the Orlando bubble. Lillard was instrumental in the Trail Blazers’ remarkable run to the postseason. He leads the NBA in scoring at Walt Disney World Resort since the league’s restart with 37.6 points per game, including the play-in clash. He is also averaging 46.3 points in his past four games, including a career-high 61 against the Mavericks earlier this month.
