The musician, 59, grinned while posing for a black-and-white selfie with the 80-year-old, who revealed he was listening to a track by John on his Spotify. Julian wrote in his caption: 'It’s Amazing who you run into in an airport Lounge! None other than Uncle Paul…. So, so lovely, and what are the chances… Thankful…. ❤️.' Wow! John Lennon's son Julian (left) took to Twitter on Saturday after bumping into his late father's Beatles bandmate Sir Paul McCartney (right) at an airport lounge Earlier this year, Julian told how difficult it was to watch his father's posthumous Glastonbury performance with former bandmate Sir Paul. John was brought back to life via the magic of video and artificial intelligence to perform a duet of the 1969 track 'I've Got A Feeling' alongside Sir Paul, who delivered a stunning three-hour set at the summer festival in June. CHANTILLY, Va. (AP) — Two passengers were taken to the hospital and 12 more were evaluated for injuries after a mobile lounge at Dulles International Airport struck a jersey barrier. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which runs Dulles, said the accident occurred Wednesday around 5 p.m. The lounge was transporting passengers to the airport’s Customs facility when the rear wheel hit the jersey wall, according to the airports authority. Several passengers requested medical evaluation, the authority said. Two were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Another 12 people were evaluated and declined transport. Airport operations are continuing as normal. The lounges — essentially oversized shuttle buses — have long been a unique feature at Dulles. Their use has been curtailed over the years by recent improvement projects, but the lounges still shuttle passengers to a limited number of gates, and also take arriving international passengers to Customs. The Dulles lounge, which occupies 21,000 square feet near the Terminal C18 gate, will be the only open United (NASDAQ: UAL) lounge of its kind once it debuts this week. The others remain closed due to the pandemic. The opening of the Polaris Lounge, which promises relaxation areas, dining and spa-like shower facilities, coincides with next summer’s anticipated surge in trans-Atlantic travel, as more borders open to vaccinated travelers, said Mandeep Grewal, vice president of customer strategy and innovation at United who oversees the airline’s lounges. “To go from where we were over a year ago to be opening this lounge now and getting ready to open it to customers is a phenomenal experience,” Grewal said… Read the full story from the Washington Business Journal.

Farewell buffets, hello social distancing. Rachel Hosie/Insider Business Insider Some airport lounges have reopened since the pandemic hit, and one of those is No. 1 Traveler Lounge at Gatwick Airport North Terminal in London. I paid £32 ($42) to visit the lounge before a flight recently and found it was different to my previous experiences. Understandably, there was no buffet or complimentary newspapers and a smaller menu with four dishes available. Though it wasn't the lounge experience I know and love, the restrictions made sense to me. And while I still found the lounge to be a relaxing place in the airport terminal, I personally don't think it's worth the extra money during this time. Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. Understandably, airport lounges aren't what they were before the pandemic.  While some have reopened since the pandemic knocked the travel industry for six (flight bookings for November are currently down as much as 88% compared to last year) they have, of course, had to return under the new normal.  When flying to Barbados recently,...
