This is the moment a 10-year-old sprints away from her potential abductor after she encountered a stranger who apparently tried to kidnap her in her Fort Lauderdale neighborhood twice in one week. Authorities, who released the footage last night, are still searching for the suspect who attempted to lure the child into his vehicle by offering her candy on her way to school last week. A separate video captured a man dressed in all black walking near the scene. When the child refused to get into the man's black cargo van, he allegedly got out of his vehicle and tried to pull her in. 'The male attempted to lure her by offering candy, money, and other items, which she declined,' the police said. 'The suspect then attempted to grab her but thankfully, she was able to run away.' A struggle ensued and the girl was able to get away, but she dropped her lanyard as she fled, which she says she saw the man pick up and take. One week after the incident, the man has still not been found. A...

The Giants lost starting left guard Ben Bredeson and starting right tackle Evan Neal to potentially serious knee injuries in a span of seven minutes in Sunday’s first half. Head coach Brian Daboll had no update on the severity of either player’s injury. “I won’t know until tomorrow,” he said. Bredeson went down at 5:13 of the second quarter after getting hurt on the preceding play. Then Neal got rolled up on by Jags DL Roy Robertson-Harris and Saquon Barkley with around 13:20 left in the 2nd quarter. The Giants ruled out both players quickly, even though they both limped off under their own power. Neal screamed out in frustration as he entered the blue tent on the sideline for a quick check-up. Then he hopped on the cart and rode into the locker room. Rookie Josh Ezeudu replaced Bredeson at left guard, and third-year pro Tyre Phillips stepped in for Neal. The Giants still managed 175 of their 236 rushing yards in the second half. Barkley had a lot of success running the same exact play concept off the...

So, how did Jeudy choose to respond to this pretty scathing criticism? Well, not in the most mature way imaginable, retweeting Sharpe's tweet with the caption: "And you be doing all that talking during the season while your breathe be smelling like your ass. #BigWin." Jeudy did go on to delete this, and later tweeted: "Lmao ima be the bigger man and...

Among other claims that will horrify courtiers, Meghan insisted that what she and Harry asked for during Megxit negotiations was not 'reinventing the wheel' as she moaned that other senior royals had been granted similar arrangements. The article also heard from Harry who suggested some members of the Royal Family 'aren't able to work and live together', and referred to his wife as a 'model and a mom'. Angela Levin, author of 'Harry: Conversations with the Prince', appeared on GB News and described the duchess's 'arrogance' as 'breathtaking'. Two women who discovered they were secret sisters through a DNA test have reunited for the first time in 55 years just months after discovering their related, describing it as the 'most exciting moment' of their lives.  Sisters Diane Ward, 58, and Mary McLaughlin, 55, were separated just a few months after Mary was born, but now, the long-lost siblings have finally reunited. Diane was put up for adoption when she was young, and with a lack of records, she never knew much about her biological family. She spent her childhood in Michigan, and unbeknownst to her, she grew up in a house that was just a few blocks away from her sister Mary and her biological mom - who has since passed away from breast cancer. The two lived within minutes of each other for three years, until Mary was also adopted. Throughout their childhoods, both women were told by their adoptive parents that they had no siblings but they longed to know more about where they came from. Just months after discovering they were related, the two finally...
Trey Mancini badly needed a break. Over the last month of the 2021 season, the magnitude of the past year and a half weighed on the Orioles first baseman — beginning with a cancer diagnosis and concluding with a rapid return to baseball and the rigors that come with a 162-game sprint. In all of that, the breath inside him was pent up, held in, waiting for a release. “Trey loves baseball, loves Baltimore, as do I,” Mancini’s fiancée, Sara Perlman, said. “We were so ready for it to end. Because he was so exhausted. He was drained.” So when Mancini flew from Toronto, where the Orioles finished the season, to meet Perlman at their home in Laguna Beach, California, he finally had a moment to himself. He walked in, set down his bags and let out that breath — what felt like his first real breath since March 6, 2020. In the time since that day, when he received his cancer diagnosis, Mancini has undergone surgery to remove a tumor from his colon and 12 rounds of biweekly chemotherapy...
Some of London's top chefs have come to the defence of garlic after dozens of New York restaurants banned the vegetable because it leaves customers 'smelly and gassy'. Asimakis Chaniotis, the Executive Chef of the Michelin-starred Pied à Terre in Fitzrovia, branded garlic 'essential' and 'the basis' of many dishes while Jack Croft, Co-Owner and Chef Patron of Fallow - another restaurant in the Michelin Guide described garlic as a 'staple' of his kitchen. The comments come as Thomas Makkos, the owner of Italian restaurant Nello on New York's Upper East Side removed garlic from his menu. 'People always complained that it was smelly and gassy. Finally, I made the decision to get rid of it all together, and my customers thanked me,' he told the New York Post. Celebrity hotspot Cipriani in New York has banned garlic - with the owner saying its 'too overpowering' Makkos told the newspaper he banned it in 2020 while customers were wearing facemasks and complaining about 'breathing in their own bad breath'. Cassandra Holmes, vice president of the East Phillips Neighborhood Institute, still doesn’t know why her oldest son died. At the age of 16, he suddenly had heart problems. “One day, he didn’t feel good,” Holmes said. “He had to get a heart transplant, and he was not able to survive.” Unexpected deaths are a familiar story in East Phillips, a neighborhood in south Minneapolis where 80% of residents are people of color and almost half of all households make under $35,000 a year. Historically redlined, East Phillips is also polluted, from arsenic in the ground to smoke in the air. That pollution is what Holmes believes led to the death of her son and others. “What else could it be when we have kids dying from asthma attacks,” she said. Article continues after advertisement New reports from Minnesota’s Pollution Control Agency and Department of Health lend credence to Holmes’ conclusion. Analyzing air pollution and health data from 2015, the agencies found that neighborhoods with mostly residents of color had five times the rate of asthma emergency room visits as majority...

Tokyo Olympic protocols require mask-wearing in post-competition "mixed zones," where journalists gather roughly five feet away from athletes to ask questions. Andrew is not the only Olympic athlete to break those rules, but he is the first American swimmer to violate them. All others, ever since the competition started on Saturday, have given interviews with masks on. Andrew carried a mask in his hand and placed it on a table during the interview. He was twice asked why he was not wearing one. "No, no reason," he said. He still did not put it on. "For me, it's pretty hard to breath in after kind of sacrificing my body in the water," he said....

Researchers looked at data on more than 400 people who tested positive for the virus and had since recovered.  They found that 26.4 percent still had symptoms six to eight months after first being being diagnosed with fatigue being the most common symptom. The team, from the University of Zurich in Switzerland, says the results leave many questions unanswered about so-called 'long-haul Covid' including who is more at risk or why it develops in the first place.
