Former NFL star Antonio Brown has defended Kanye West following the rap mogul's string of Anti-Semitic comments, calling the public reaction to the musician's comments 'reactionary and selective.' West tweeted on October 9 that he would go 'death con 3' on 'JEWISH PEOPLE' and further claimed Jews 'control the media' in an interview released Monday, leading stars Aaron Donald and Jaylen Brown to cut ties with his Donda Sports Agency. But Brown said Tuesday night that he would not be leaving Donda Sports, of which he's been president since his release from the Buccaneers. 'Over the past few weeks the world's reactionary and selective outrage at comments in the media made by my brother, Ye, have inflamed and sparked rampant conversation and reflection,' Brown said. 'None of us in this world are free of judgment, yet we live in a time where scrutiny and pessimism have driven our dialogues on cultural issues toward diatribes.  'Sensationalism and groupthink have forced people to not speak their minds and act out in fear rather than love. For these reasons, I stand by my...
A Texan woman who opened fire inside Dallas's Love Field airport on Monday, bringing the bustling transit hub to a standstill, is a career criminal with a history of arson, bank robbery and trespass, who was declared mentally unfit to stand trial. Portia Odufuwa, 37, once told police she was 'God's prophet', and claimed she was married to rapper Chris Brown. She was ordered to attend mental health treatment sessions, but a judge decided in June 2021 she was not a danger to the public. On Monday, Odufuwa was shot by police after she pulled out a gun at the airport, aimed it toward the ceiling and fired several times. She was hit in the lower body and taken to hospital: no one else was injured in the chaos, but flights were suspended and the terminal evacuated. Hours later it emerged that Odufuwa was well-known to the police, with multiple run-ins with the law dating back to 2019. Portia Odufuwa, 37, is seen in a booking photo released on Monday by Dallas police, after she opened fire inside the airport...
Members of the Congressional Black Caucus are reportedly asking for a meeting with leadership at a Sesame Street theme park after video showing a costumed character waving off two six-year-old black girls during a parade went viral. Jodi Brown, the mother of one of the girls, first shared the nine-second video clip last weekend, showing the Sesame Place character Rosita high-fiving a white child and woman, then gesturing 'no' and walking away from the two black girls who had their arms out for hugs.  Black Caucus members are seeking a meeting with the theme park's general manager Cathy Valeriano to 'discuss the changes, plans of action, and training the park plans to implement,' Fox News reporter Chad Pergram said on Saturday. The caucus said: 'Over the past week, we've seen multiple glaring examples of racism coming from the park, including the viral video in which two beautiful little black girls were blatantly rejected by a character they idolized while white children were embraced.'  Jodi Brown, the mother of one of the girls who was snubbed at Sesame Place, appeared on...
The sea off the coast of New Zealand (NZ) is typically filled with velvety brown sponges, but new images show these marine creatures have turned to a bone-white - and climate change is to blame. Scientists found sponges are 'dying by the millions' in what is 'the worst bleaching event on record.' The discovery was first made last month when thousands of creatures, but experts say there could now be tens of million dead. James Bell, a marine biology professor from New Zealand's Victoria University. who investigating the mass die off, told DailyMail.com in an email: 'We have never seen this before in NZ.  'Sponge bleaching on a small scale was reported in Tasmania 4 years ago, but nothing like the scale we have seen in NZ. It has also been reported in the tropics before, but again not at the scale we have seen.'  Bleaching, which is caused by a stress event, cause sponges to lose their cells, leaving behind a bare skeleton – this is a similar process seen among coral. Although sea sponges are small, they play a...

He almost didn’t make it. When Mary McCartney gave birth in Liverpool’s Walton General Hospital on June 18, 1942, her baby wasn’t moving, and didn’t appear to be breathing. Paul was in a state of white asphyxia, caused by oxygen deficiency in the brain. The obstetrician was all set to pronounce him dead, but the midwife, a friend of Mary, held out hope. A Roman Catholic, like Mary, she began to pray. After a few seconds, the baby started to holler. At first, Mary’s husband Jim, a first-time father at the age of 40, was horrified by the sight of his new baby. ‘He looked awful,’ he recalled. ‘Horrible. He had one eye open and just squawked all the time. When I got home I cried for the first time for years and years.’ But all that squawking paid off. Eighty years later, Sir Paul McCartney might justly be described as our Greatest Living Englishman. His songs are in all our heads, and are part of the fabric of our lives. Rocking through the years: Sir Paul McCartney is still...

The View speculated on Wednesday that Fox News host Tucker Carlson “doesn’t like” Black and Brown people because he’s envious of their penises. The segment turned from a conversation about the latest audio of Kevin McCarthy, this time saying that Trump is “putting people in jeopardy” over the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Tuesday night, Carlson denounced McCarthy saying that “in private turns out sounds like an MSNBC contributor.” The panel then also mocked Carlson for last week promoting “testicle tanning“ Sunny Hostin made a curious pivot from what she thought would be an effective “democratic agenda,” to Tucker Carlson’s End of Man documentary on Fox Nation.  “There is $1.7 trillion in student debt. Do you know how crippling that is for our young people? For our economy? … If he’s going to cancel student debt, why aren’t Democrats talking about that?” Hostin said. “What we’re talking about is, you know, Tucker Carlson tanning testicles.” “Now we know why Tucker doesn’t like Latinos and African Americans,” said View guest co-host Ana Navarro, though it’s unclear why....

A journalist has been fired from a Washington D.C. radio station after a tweet which saw her criticize the suit worn by Vice President Kamala Harris during last month's State of the Union speech. Amber Athey, a conservative journalist who worked on the morning show at newstalk radio station WMAL wrote a jokey tweet about the color of the suit Harris was wearing. 'Kamala looks like a UPS employee — what can brown do for you? Nothing good, apparently,' Athey wrote in the March 1 tweet, using an old UPS tagline as part of the joke. Senate Republicans are planning to grill President Joe Biden's Supreme Court nominee about her rulings on child sex cases when her confirmation hearings begin next week. Republican Senator Josh Hawley previewed the attack when he announced he found an 'alarming pattern' in Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's treatment of sex offenders. Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee circulated a background document on the topic, Politico reported.  It suggests that Jackson 'routinely handed out light sentences but the lightest in all categories reviewed by Judiciary Republicans was in child pornography cases.' Press secretary Jen Psaki went after Hawley for his questioning, accusing him of taking Jackson's record out of context. And she got in a shot at the Republican senator from Missouri. 'I'm not sure if someone who refused to tell people whether or not he would vote for Roy Moore is an effective and credible messenger on this,' Psaki said in Thursday's press briefing. Hawley, as a Senate candidate, had initially hedged on whether he'd support Moore, who had been accused of sexual misconduct with teenage girls. Hawley later said Moore should drop...
Conservative dark money groups that are fighting President Joe Biden's nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court also helped fund conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and rallies leading to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, according to a new report from the watchdog group Accountable.US. The Judicial Crisis Network (JCN), which played a key role in shaping Trump's Supreme Court nominations, last month launched a preemptive $2.5 million strike before Biden even named his nominee, accusing Biden of caving in to leftists by promising a "Supreme Court nominee who will be a liberal activist." The organization is one of many linked to a network of dark-money groups around conservative activist Leonard Leo, the co-chairman of the Federalist Society who was dubbed Trump's "Supreme Court whisperer." Other groups affiliated with Leo, like the 85 Fund, have donated hundreds of thousands to the Independent Women's Forum, another group that has run ads attacking Democrats for picking judges to advance a "woke agenda." JCN, the 85 Fund and other affiliates have spent tens of millions to shape the Supreme...
Los Angeles police are asking for the public’s help in finding drivers involved in three separate hit-and-run incidents that left two people dead and one seriously injured. The most recent incident occurred at 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Koreatown, police said. A 22-year-old man on an e-scooter was traveling east on Western Avenue when he was struck by a blue Dodge Caravan heading north on Olympic Boulevard. A second vehicle heading south then struck the man and dragged him several feet, officials said. The driver of that vehicle, which police did not describe, fled the scene. Fire paramedics pronounced the 22-year-old man dead on the scene. The driver of the Dodge Caravan remained at the scene, police said. No drugs or alcohol were factors in the deadly crash. Meanwhile, police continue to search for the driver who struck and killed 32-year-old Joshua Brown in the Baldwin Hills area early Friday. A vehicle was traveling north on La Cienega Boulevard around 1:28 a.m. when it “struck a male pedestrian who was lying down on the crosswalk at...

Fallen NFL star Antonio Brown hit the New York City streets Monday night after cheering on Kevin Durant at a Brooklyn Nets game.  'It's a new day to hit up KD,' the axed Tampa Bay wide receiver captioned an Instagram story video touting his game day attire. Brown, 33, was released by the Buccaneers after refusing to enter Sunday's game against the New York Jets before removing his jersey and pads, which he threw into the stands, and jogging off the field. However, the pro-baller doesn't seem to be too phased by the likely end to his NFL career as he was caught on camera laughing, cheering and chatting with a friend while he watched Monday's match against the Memphis Grizzlies.  He even took a selfie with the fans seated behind him.  Then, after the game, he went to a club with rapper Fabolous, documenting the endeavor on his stories. The pair are seen smiling, laughing and joking around. The camera operator commented on how the two were the 'hottest in the streets right now,' to which Fabolous replied, while motioning to...

CHICAGO (CBS) — Two young men were charged Wednesday in a shooting that killed one armored car guard and critically wounded another – as well as another shooting shortly afterward that left two of their suspected accomplices dead, and the robbery of a cellphone store in between. Police Supt. David Brown announced that Antoine Montgomery, 19, and Deandre Jennings, 21, have both been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in the incident on Tuesday in Auburn Gresham. When the Rolling Stones appeared on the Ed Sullivan show back in 1967, lead singer Mick Jagger changed the words to their smash hit ‘Let’s Spend The Night Together’ to ‘Let’s Spend Some Time Together.’ This was because the original sex-hinting lyric was deemed too offensive for ultra-conservative American TV viewers to endure. It was even reported that puritanical host Sullivan told the band, ‘Either the song goes, or you go’ before they agreed to change the line. In the end, Jagger did censor himself – the Sullivan show sold more records than anything else on TV at the time - but rolled his eyes witheringly as he sang the new wording This all seems incredible now, right? In an era when rap lyrics are riddled with not just hardcore sexual content but also vile misogyny, sexism, homophobia, rape fantasies and violence including entreaties to kill the police, such concern over something so relatively tame seems laughable. The sightings of the tiny foul-smelling pest - renowned for its stench, tendency to invade homes and destroy harvests - have caused a stir amongst the agricultural sector. 2It is feared stink bugs come become commonplace within the UK in the coming years 2A string of recent sightings have left the agricultural sector on high alert Although it is typically native to Asia, the brown marmorated stink bug has most recently been discovered at the flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society, Wisley, in Surrey. Specialists are now investigating the source of the bug which emits a "pungent odour" that has been likened to coriander - as well as a "cross between stale farts, rotting rubbish and rancid almond." A superintendent in rural Oregon was fired by his school board at an emotional meeting on Monday, amid backlash because he upheld Governor Kate Brown's statewide mask mandate.  The Adrian School Board held a special closed-door meeting, which ended in the termination of superintendent Kevin Purnell.   No reason was given for his termination, but both supporters and critics said that his stance on following the statewide directive had put him at odds with the board, the Oregonian reports. The former superintendent was described by community members as a 'rule follower' who would enforce the statewide mask mandates despite his personal opposition to them.  But some community members had hoped that the local administration would fight against the mask mandates. The session lasted less than half an hour and ended with a 4-1 vote to fire Purnell. He held his position for three years and worked for the district for 14 years.  Board Chair Eddie Kincade said after the meeting that the decision was due to Purnell's failure to follow board directives but declined to elaborate, the Malheur Enterprise reported.  Kevin Purnell, a...
NASA has shared footage of an 'incredibly rare' brown dwarf that could be up to 13 billion years old, named 'The Accident' after being discovered by chance.  A brown dwarf is a mysterious object that sits somewhere between a gas giant planet and a small star, but without the size to fuse hydrogen like a star would. There might be more of these unusual 'stars' lurking in our galaxy than previously thought, according to a study by astronomers at Caltech in Pasadena, California. Named WISE 1534–1043, it is 50 light years from the Earth and doesn't resemble any of the 2,000 brown dwarfs found in our galaxy so far, the NASA researchers said.  It is faint in some wavelengths of light, bright in others, and hurtling around the Milky Way at half a million miles per hour - faster than any other local brown dwarf.  The unusual light make-up and speed helped the team determine it is between 10 and 13 billion years old - double the average age of other known brown dwarfs and dating to when the Milky Way...

The debut of skateboarding in the park mode did not leave anyone indifferent. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games had a spectacular start in the Ariake Urban Sports Park, located very close to the Olympic Village. It was a competition that proved, once again, that it is a sport in which young people can take power without any problem. So much so that adding the three athletes who stood on the podium comes to a total age of 44 years. The gold and silver was local, with Yosozumi (19 years old) in first place and Hiraki (12 years old) escorting you. The bronze corresponded to Sky brown (13 years old), belonging to Great britain and a whole star of the Olympic games long before the start of the tests in the park of Ariake. Brown was the reference to follow. In previous pools he was a favorite due to his status of fame and a level perceived by all. His competition was complicated in the final with two falls attempting “kickflips” and finished with bronze. With 13 years of age. The...
A moderate Democrat backed by Hillary Clinton won an Ohio House primary race Tuesday night in a contest that turned into a war among the center and progressive wings of the party. Shontel Brown, who ran as a candidate who would support President Joe Biden, defeated Nina Turner, a progressive favorite endorsed by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. NBC News has called the race.   Brown also had the support of Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn, the Democratic kingmaker whose endorsement gave Biden a victory in South Carolina's presidential primary, thus saving his White House bid.  She will face Republican Laverne Gore in the November election. The Democrat is favored to win.  The primary battle in Ohio's 11th Congressional district became nasty as Democrats battled over who would replace Democratic Rep. Marcia Fudge, who Biden named as his housing secretary.  The two special House elections in Ohio on Tuesday tested both political parties: Donald  Trump's sway on the Republican Party and the moderate and liberal divisions among Democrats.    Shontel Brown, backed by Hillary Clinton and Rep. Jim Clyburn, beat a progressive favorite to win a...
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for the abolition of the 'carceral system' in the US during a campaign event in Ohio over the weekend. The Democratic Squad member was campaigning for congressional candidate Nina Turner on Saturday when she said: 'I want to abolish our carceral system that's designed to trap black and brown men.' 'I want justice. I want peace, and I want prosperity. That's what I want,' Ocasio-Cortez added during her speech in Cleveland for the co-chair of Bernie Sander's 2020 presidential campaign.  The country's carceral system refers to its approach to criminal justice and punishment of criminals. Ocasio-Cortez has long fought for drastic changes to the system that she says unfairly targets black and brown people.  A statement on her official government website reads that she 'is committed to dismantling our system of mass incarceration and ending the school-to-prison pipeline.'   According to the website, her criminal justice reform goals include federally legalizing marijuana, ending for-profit prisons, releasing all individuals incarcerated for nonviolent drug offenses, ending cash bail, and launching independent investigations for every case in which someone is killed...
A Chicago cop wore a hoodie emblazoned with his department's logo to riot in the US Capitol while on sick leave, and shared his shock at how many black people were there, investigators say. Officer Karol J. Chwiesiuk, 29, was arrested Friday over claims he travelled from the Windy City to Washington DC to join in the deadly violence, and was branded a 'disgrace' by Mayor Lori Lightfoot after news of his alleged crime was shared. Chwiesiuk joined a mob of rioters who broke into and vandalized the office of Oregon Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley, according to a 19-page criminal complaint released by prosecutor’s Friday.  The complaint includes screen shots of texts Chwiesiuk exchanged with a close friend leading up to the Jan. 6 riot. The texts, which the unidentified friend provided to authorities, begin on Jan. 3, with a message from Chwiesiuk saying he was going to Washington DC 'to save the nation.’ His friend appeared to deter him and said, ‘Fat man child lost. Give it up,’ in an apparent reference to Donald Trump, but Chwiesiuk responded, ‘Didn’t...
(CNN)Rest assured that Regé-Jean Page is well aware of all the buzz and speculation he's been stirring."I spend a lot of time at the moment talking about what other people are saying about me, as opposed to anything I'm actually doing," the "Bridgerton" star told Variety in a recent interview. From his rise to global fame via one of Netflix's hottest shows to hosting "Saturday Night Live" and causing a clamor for him to take over the James Bond role from Daniel Craig, Page is definitely having a moment. The usually very private 31-year-old British-Zimbabwean actor told the publication he had no fears regarding walking away from playing Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, after the success of Season 1 of "Bridgerton." The father of a 4-year-old Texas boy who was snatched from his Dallas home and found lying in a pool of blood says he can never forgive himself for failing to keep his son safe.  Trevor Gernon issued the statement about the death of his son Cash in a more than four-minute YouTube video, posted on his sister’s account on Sunday.  "I do not wish this nightmare on any parent," Gernon said. "You have no idea how hard it has been for all of us, or how hard it is to hold it together while everyone pits your family apart … all attention and time should be reserved for Cash."  Gernon said he had left twin sons, Cash and Carter, with his ex-girlfriend, Monica Sherwood, in Dallas while he moved back to Houston because he thought it was in the boys’ "best interest to not disrupt their routine."  "This choice I made with the best of intentions has resulted in the most horrific outcome," Gernon said. "I have paid the most painful and ultimate of price for my poor judgment....
Allen Dewitt Minish was alone and surveying land for a real estate agent in a wooded, remote part of Alaska, putting some numbers into his GPS unit when he looked up and saw a large brown bear walking about 30 feet away.  'I saw him and he saw me at the same time, and it's scary,' he said by phone Wednesday from his hospital bed in Anchorage, a day after being mauled by the bear in a chance encounter. The mauling left Minish with a crushed jaw, a puncture wound in his scalp so deep the doctor told him he could see bone, lacerations and many stitches after a 4½-hour surgery. He is also wearing a patch over his right eye, saying the doctors are worried about it. Brown bears that rub up against more trees than their peers have more children and more partners, according to a new study.  Researchers from the University of Alberta studied the genomes of 213 individual brown bears in the Alberta Rocky Mountains to track their location and family. They then compared it to earlier DNA data to create a 'family tree' and found hundreds of 'sites' like trees, poles and posts the bears rubbed against. The results showed that bears that rub more frequently and at more sites do better with members of the opposite sex and in number of children produced. Crump has represented Jacob Blake and the families of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Breonna Taylor. Here are some examples of false or unfounded claims the lawyer has spread. Trayvon Martin Crump first rose to prominence when he represented the family of Trayvon Martin, who was killed in 2012 by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. Zimmerman was acquitted of murder charges in Martin’s death in 2013 after defense attorneys argued that Zimmerman acted in self-defense. Crump asserted on CNN that “there was something that night [the Sanford Police Department and Zimmerman] conspired to cover up” after surveillance video showed Zimmerman entering a Sanford police station with a gash on the back of his head. Michael Brown Brown was fatally shot in 2014 after attacking Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson. “Although some witnesses state that Brown held his hands up at shoulder level with his palms facing outward for a brief moment, these same witnesses...
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a daily briefing Friday that "too often" law enforcement uses "unnecessary force" that results in the death of "Black and brown Americans."  Psaki had been asked if President Biden had watched footage of the police shooting of 13-year-old Adam Toledo.  "I have not spoken with him this morning. I expect I'll see him later this morning. I will say for those of us who did watch that video, it is certainly chilling and a reminder that across the country there are far too many communities where there is violence that is impacting that too often in this country," Psaki said. "Law enforcement uses unnecessary force, too often resulting in the death of black and brown Americans. "The president, again, has repeatedly said that he believes we need police reform. That's what he says he's calling for Congress to send to his desk," the press secretary continued. "There's an independent investigation, as you well know, and certainly we'll see that play itself through." CHICAGO POLICE RELEASE BODY CAM FOOTAGE OF ADAM TOLEDO FOOTAGE ...

EU clowns IT beggars belief. After wasting months with its brinkmanship, the EU suddenly realises that it’s run out of time.
