Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman will face off against celebrity physician Dr. Mehmet Oz on Tuesday night in their only debate of what has been a fiercely contentious race. The high-stakes event will come with closed captioning to facilitate Democrat Fetterman's auditory processing disorder.  The condition, which impairs the brain's ability to comprehend spoken words, is a lingering effect of the stroke he suffered in May. The medical incident took Fetterman off the campaign trail for several weeks, but he and his team have since insisted that he is fit to serve in the Senate and even produced a doctor's letter attesting to his health. Since then he's used closed captions for sit-down interviews and following conversations. Republicans, including retiring Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey, have contended that Fetterman is simply not up to the job after his medical emergency. But Fetterman has consistently said that he will be recovered come the next Congress in January, but his Republican rival's perceived personal and policy flaws will remain. That message may be falling flat on Pennsylvanians, according to a new CBS News...

He signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract extension with the Sharks in July. The Sharks are also inserting Jaycob Megna for Scott Harrington on defense, and Evgeny Svechnikov will take the lineup spot of Noah Gregor, who had one shot on goal in 12:20 of ice time in Friday’s loss. “We want to match the physicality and just be sound defensively,” Megna told the Sharks Audio Network. “I think our game kind of builds from our back end out, so we can be good in our own zone and get inside. Those of you who know me, no one ever doubts I mean what I say, the problem is I sometimes say all that I mean.'

During such missions, the use of nuclear weapons against Russia is being practiced,' Lavrov continued. 'U.S. nuclear weapons must have long been returned home, and the corresponding infrastructure in Europe must have long been eliminated.' President Biden is poised, according to The New York Times, to take credit...

Mitch McConnell ripped Democrats' voting rights proposal on Tuesday, claiming it's a 'transparently partisan' effort that shows the left's 'disdain' for Americans. 'Many Democrats would pass [H.R.1] with the slimmest possible majority, even after its companion faced bipartisan opposition over in the House,' McConnell said from the Senate floor on Tuesday. 'What a craven political calculation. What a way to show your disdain for the American people's choices,' he added. The comments come as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer prepares to bring a procedural vote to the floor to begin debate on the For the People Act, which would expand voting rights and access. Schumer, in remarks from the Senate floor on Tuesday, blamed Trump for Republican opposition to the bill. 'Donald Trump, fresh off a resounding loss in the 2020 presidential election, cried foul and lied — lied — that the election was stolen from him, like a petulant child,' the New York Democrat said. 'There is a rot at the center of the modern Republican Party,' he continued. 'Donald Trump's big lie has spread like a cancer and...
