She had splashed out £800,000 on a five-bedroom, four-bathroom house in Craigieburn as a “gift” for her sister, Thilagavathy Gangadory. The rest of the wrongful payment was then dished out between six other people, including her daughter and sister. More world newsSPOILS OF WAR...
An accused Florida hitman filmed himself counting $100 bills that state prosecutors say was payment for assassinating a TSA officer last year. The video, released by the State Attorney's Office on Wednesday, shows Javon Carter, 29, gloating as he counted stacks of $100 bills detectives say were part of a $10,000 payment for killing single mother Le'Shonte Jones, 24, in front of her daughter at their Miami home on May 3, 2021.  'How do I even go through this s***,' Carter asks in the video as he flashes $100 bills at the camera. 'Another day in the office.'  Investigators have accused hairstylist Jasmine Martinez, 33, of fraudulently obtaining a $15,000 PPP loan last year to pay Carter and career criminal Romiel Robinson, 35, to kill Jones, who Martinez had a history of attacking after the TSA officer began dating her ex-boyfriend.

SOME households will get their benefits on other days than usual due to Thanksgiving next week. This is because benefits typically aren't paid on federal holidays. 1We explain how benefit payment dates are affected by ThanksgivingCredit: Getty Thanksgiving always falls on the fourth Thursday of November, meaning it'll take place on November 25 in 2021. Many Americans are then off from work the day after on Black Friday too. If you're currently claiming benefits including Social Security, we explain if and how this will affect your payment during the holiday season. Federal law requires that all benefit payments, including Social Security and Supplemental Security Income benefits, are made electronically. If you currently receive benefits by check, you should switch to an electronic payment option, such as direct deposit. This means you'll get the cash quicker and you also avoid the checks potentially getting lost or stolen in the mail. AS American families await their second Child Tax Credit aid on Friday, many are dealing with specific reasons why they have yet to receive their first payment. There are various issues hampering the federal cash credit collection including being paid the wrong amount, an erroneous omission for those families with an immigrant spouse or some families may be entitled to collect the money but failed to file a 2020 tax return.  3NINTCHDBPICT000672752061Credit: Alamy The last reason is perhaps most persistent since these advance monthly payments are based on the most recent filing or unless your 2019 taxes are the latest year of returns. “Half the total credit amount will be paid in advance monthly payments and you will claim the other half when you file your 2021 income tax return,” according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). It’s very possible that if you filed, the information may be outdated or incomplete.  Meanwhile, a number of mixed-status families missed out because of an agency glitch. In a statement, the IRS acknowledged that "some taxpayers who filed tax returns" with immigrant...

Rafael Amargo does not win to disappointment and is now one of the artists that make up the cast of Yerma, Irene Chamorro, who accuses him of non-payment. Chamorro visited the set of Live life, Telecinco’s current affairs program presented by Emma García, to report that it was the bailaor himself who got in touch with her and her sister to have the artists in their new show, which is on the bill in Madrid. However, there has been a break with Amargo and they have abandoned Yerma, and everything is due, according to the artist, because they did not charge anything they had agreed with the dancer through a verbal contract. Hearing the accusations, Rafa Amargo entered the program live and, out of his mind, denied the dancer and clarified what happened. According to the choreographer, he already told them beforehand that he couldn’t afford to house them in Madrid, something Irene complains about: “We have had to pay for our accommodation here in MadridWe even paid for the bottles of water that we drank during the performances,...

By Paresh Dave OAKLAND, Calif. (Reuters) - Alphabet Inc's Google on Monday sought to rebut criticism that it enforces its 30% tax on sales of paid apps arbitrarily, saying the just over 3% of paid apps that are out of compliance must follow the rules within a year. The announcement follows lawsuits last month by "Fortnite" video game maker Epic Games accusing Google and Apple Inc of anticompetitive conduct by requiring that their payment systems be used in apps, so that they can collect a portion of sales. The companies are defending the allegations. App stores are a fast-growing business for Google and Apple, as their main business - search ads and iPhone sales, respectively - flatten out. Google said under 3% of developers with apps on its Play store sold digital goods over the last 12 months, and nearly 97% comply with its payment system policy.
