Charlamagne tha God doubled down on his prediction that Kanye West’s recent actions are leading the controversial rapper down a deadly path. Back in October, Charlamagne expressed concern for West after he appeared on Lex Fridman’s podcast and spoke about his relationship with God. “He need to start really leaning into God, cause nothing he’s doing is of God. Nothing I’ve seen him do is of God,” Charlamagne said back in October. “I hope that this is what helps him to go find some real healing because clearly he’s hurting. Right? And I just — I don’t see this ending well. I feel like he’s moving like a person who doesn’t feel like he’s gonna be here much longer. You know what I mean?” he added. On Friday, following an anti-Semitic fueled appearance by West on Alex Jones’s InfoWars, Charlamagne repeated his concerns. The Breakfast Club crew listened to a portion of the Jones interview in which West did an impersonation of Benjamin Netanyahu in the style of Elmo from Sesame Street. “Man, I’ve said it once and I’ll say...
As the Chicago Bears prepare to finish their first swing through division opponents Sunday when they play host to the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field, it’s a good time to look back on general manager Ryan Poles’ bold declaration during his introductory news conference. “The most important piece is we’re gonna take the (NFC) North and never give it back,” he said in January. Ultimately, if Poles is going to be the architect Chairman George McCaskey envisioned, success will be judged in the postseason. Dominating the division is the gateway to that goal, and it’s where the Bears have fallen short for too long. Former coach Matt Nagy was 8-10 in the NFC North his last three seasons, with five of those victories coming against the Lions. The Bears have been above .500 in the division only twice in the last 10 seasons — 5-1 in 2018 and 4-2 in 2019. Poles and coach Matt Eberflus are 0-2 in the division so far, losing to the Packers 27-10 in Green Bay in Week 2 and to the Minneapolis Vikings 29-22...
Federal Reserve Board Chairman Jerome Powell arrives for a news conference following a two-day meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) in Washington, July 27, 2022.Elizabeth Frantz | Reuters It may be time for the Federal Reserve to revive the word "transitory" after all. While the first dictionary definition of "transitory," is "of brief duration," additional definitions describe transitory to mean "not permanent." I like that definition and I believe that's how the Fed viewed the meaning of the word when it was describing a post-pandemic inflation. First of all, nothing is permanent … on that we can all agree. Second, if, indeed, we have seen "peak inflation," then describing inflation as "transitory" was quite accurate from the very beginning of this economic environment. As discussed in prior columns, I have made the case that the current environment mirrors the post-war periods following World War I and World War II in which supply constrained economies were met with more rapidly rebounding demand. The resultant inflation surges from 1918-1920 and 1947-roughly 1950 proved to be "transitory" as inflation rates fell...

AMID the sombre reflection for the Fallen, Britain’s Armed Forces sent a get well message to the Queen. As they gathered in Whitehall waiting for the traditional two-minute silence at 11am, whispered words spread among the 10,000 who fought for Queen and country that their sovereign was too ill to attend this year. 6Britain's Armed Forces have wished the Queen well following her absence yesterdayCredit: Times Newspapers Ltd So, after Prince Charles and other members of the Royal Family had laid their wreaths for the nation’s glorious dead, the huge crowd sang God Save the Queen louder and with more gusto than ever before. World War Two radar operator Leonard Hobbs, 97, said: “It was as if they were singing for the Queen to get better. She has been a good Queen and I hope she gets better soon.” Former Warrant Officer Colin Veal, 63, who served in Northern Ireland, the Gulf, Bosnia and Afghanistan, said: “God Save the Queen was all the more poignant because she wasn’t there. Why did Meghan McCain land a job writing for the Daily Mail when she burned out at The View, instead of a plum hosting gig on cable news? It wasn’t because of ratings. Meghan McCain is good at television. Very good, and particularly within a setting like The View, where her commentary plays off — and battles with — a gaggle of co-hosts. But her well-known reputation for being a challenging personality to work with, day in and day out, has kept television executives at bay. This isn’t just news gleaned from anonymously sourced gossip page leaks. A number of industry insiders made clear to Mediaite that McCain is known for being difficult to work with, which has kept television executives at bay. This bad press is not unique to McCain. There are a number of television personalities — from Lawrence O’Donnell to Pete Hegseth — who have developed similar attitudinal reputations. But McCain has re-entered the spotlight this week, talking about what seems to be one of her favorite subjects… herself. And her future in broadcast or cable...

"This is just another vaccine," he added. "[The coronavirus vaccine will join] a well-established list that currently includes 10 vaccines and well-established rules and regulations that have been advanced by the legislature for decades." In September, Pfizer submitted evidence to the Food and Drug Administration indicating that their COVID-19 shots are safe and effective for children ages 5 to 11. Experts believe that the shots could be made available to that group by Thanksgiving. What else? The report added that 54% of the nation's adolescents ages 12 to 15 years have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, as well as 62% of 16- and 17-year olds. In August, Newsom announced that all school staff would either need to provide proof of full vaccination or be tested for COVID-19 on a regular basis in order to deliver in-person instruction. All school staff is required to be in full compliance by Oct. 15.
One of the best news of August 2021 for the Los Angeles Dodgers has been the behavior of the bullpen. And one of the main figures in that bullpen was on the Covid-19 list since August 10. However, recently, on the 20th of this month, Joe Kelly, or the Mariachi of the Dodgers, whatever you want to call it, was assigned to a rehab stint with the Quekes of Rancho Cucamonga. With the number of existing homes being listed for sale increasing, Florida’s sellers’ market that spurred a 24.3% spike in single-family home costs over the last year could simmer down in coming months, said Florida Realtors Chief Economist Brad O’Connor. “Florida’s red-hot rate of home price growth could begin to cool down somewhat in the coming months,” he said, “although that will also depend on whether interest rates start to trend higher again, as well. For now, though, the numbers continue to astound.” During the second quarter of 2021 (2Q 21), April through June, statewide median sales price for single-family existing home increased by nearly one-fourth with the median asking price at $345,000, according to updated housing data from Florida Realtors . Meanwhile, the statewide median price for condo-townhouse properties in 2Q 21 was $250,000, up 20.8% over 2Q 20. Those trends continued in June, Florida Realtors reports, with statewide median sales price for single-family existing homes at $351,000 and at $256,945 for condos/townhomes. O’Connor said Florida home sales and prices are typically higher in winter and spring, but “price...
It is impossible to deny it: the Aston Martin Valkyrie is the crown jewel of the House of Gaydon. Today it is impossible to find a model that surpasses it in areas such as design, technology, performance or its aerodynamics. However, that its halo is so bright has not prevented those responsible from betting on expanding the range. Of course, the brand new owners of the units they have already sold are still waiting for production to start at once. Be that as it may, every time we talk about the Valkyrie it is to bring us joy. The last time was a few weeks ago, when they presented the AMR Pro version. Well, those responsible for Aston Martin want us not to forget their star model and, for this, they have published a interesting teaser. In it you can see a unit of the new Valkyrie that reveals its doors, but there is a secret that is not appreciated so well … Look calmly. Flying ferries that will take passengers across the Western end of the English Channel in as little as 40 minutes are being planned by Brittany Ferries. The battery powered craft, called seagliders, are part ship and part plane. 6Flying ferries like this will whizz passengers across the Channel in as little as 40 minutes 6The 180mph, battery-powered craft, called seagliders, are part-ship and part-plane The first of the “hovercraft with wings” could be ferrying Brits between England and France at speeds of up to 180mph as soon as 2028, Brittany Ferries believes. That would cut times between Portsmouth and Cherbourg in Northern France from 5-6 hours to just 40 minutes. “Seagliders combine the convenience of passenger ferries with the comfort of hydrofoils, the aerodynamic efficiency of hovercraft and the speed of aircraft,” Brittany Ferries said. They work by harnessing ground effect, a phenomenon well-known to pilots. This is the cushion created by high-pressure air that is trapped between wings and the ground or water while flying at low altitude. Brittany’s flying ferries would carry between 50 and 150 passengers. 6They...
Outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ripped his likely replacement, Naftali Bennett, in a speech to Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, on Sunday afternoon, prior to the vote to confirm the new Israeli government. “Bennett always does the opposite of what he says and what he promises,” Netanyahu said, mocking his rival’s prior statements about opposing the Iran nuclear deal. Netanyahu had begun by noting that he and his party, the Likud, had won more votes than any other party in the Knesset. He recounted his long history of public service, including his role in hostage rescues as a member of Israel’s special forces; his diplomatic service in the U.S.; and his work in the government as Israel’s longest-serving prime minister. “We changed Israel into a world power,” he said, noting Israel’s emergence as a technological and economic force. “We were the first in the world to emerge from the coronavirus,” he added, and stressed Israel’s free-market reforms, noting that they had enabled Israel to weather the pandemic with far greater success than many other countries. Netanyahu added that his government...

    C. Douglas Golden, The Western Journal April 12, 2021 0 Comments Spending records don’t equal speed records. Don’t tell that to President Joe Biden, mind you. He seems convinced his new, $2.trillion “infrastructure” plan will give every man, woman, nonbinary person, child and theyby in the United States a self-driving electric car that can take them anywhere in minutes using so little power you could do it on an AA battery. Oh, and the car’ll have free internet 50 times quicker than anything you can get today. That’s not infrastructure? Well, don’t worry — the Biden administration is spending billions to tear down “racist” highways that were built through black neighborhoods, most over a half-century ago, all in the name of equity. Not only do you get those self-driving electric cars, you can drive them on equitable freeways that helped solve bigotry, too! And, um, I suppose they’ll be building some roads and bridges and stuff with the 6 percent that’s left over. (Seriously, that’s the figure.) If you think this is hyperbole, consider this non-hyperbole from Biden during...
Dr Anthony Fauci on Thursday night hit back at Rand Paul, after the Kentucky Republican accused him in a Senate hearing of using face masks as 'theatre' for the 'nanny state'.  Fauci, the nation's top public health expert, and Paul, a libertarian who infuriated colleagues by continuing to use the Senate gym while awaiting the results of his COVID test, clashed forcefully on Thursday.  Paul accused Fauci of trying to keep Americans under COVID restrictions 'forever'.  On Thursday night Fauci told CNN that it was 'not the first time' he and Paul had argued, but insisted that it was still essential to carry on wearing a face mask after being vaccinated. Dr Anthony Fauci appeared on CNN on Thursday night to discuss his earlier row with Rand Paul 'There is always a kernel of truth in what he says; that there is protection, to some extent, after you get infected. There is no doubt about that,' Fauci told Chris Cuomo.  Fauci, 80, pointed out that Paul was ignoring the threat from new variants, and was 'selective' in his quoting...
MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea will have “the time he needs” before returning to the team following a trip to Spain for the birth of his child, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Friday. De Gea is unavailable for Sunday’s Manchester derby and missed Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace after he and his girlfriend traveled to Spain for the birth. “I’ll give him the time he needs before he comes back,” Solskjaer said, acknowledging coronavirus protocols as well. “As soon as David travels back we just have to follow the government rules,” he said. “I expect him to be available very soon.” Dean Henderson will replace the Spaniard for second-placed United when they visit Etihad Stadium on Sunday. “He asked to go home. In the old world, that’s a day and you come back and you’re ready again,” Solskjaer said. “Now with the pandemic and the quarantines, of course, it’s a different world.” Solskjaer expressed confidence in Henderson. “Dean did well against Palace,” he said. Viruses are among the fastest mutating and evolving organisms in the world This, simply because they multiply by millions within a patient, accelerating the possibility of a dangerous genetic error. For now, all variants of COVID-19 appear to be just as deadly, as well as vulnerable as the original to vaccines Already in South Africa, the United Kingdom and even Brazil, new versions of COVID-19 have been found that have proven to be much more contagious than the original virus. For now, the mutations have not proven to be inherently more deadly or serious. But according to El Financiero it is only a matter of time for that to happen. And it is that several experts fear that a variant will soon be presented that completely undoes the progress made in the last year. According to Adam Lauring, an infectious disease expert at the University of Michigan at Ann Harbor, there are more variants of COVID-19 because there are more infections. Dr. Pardis Sabeti, an evolutionary biologist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, fears that in one of...
Editorial: Gaming / Facebook / Twitter / YouTube / Instagram / News / Discord / Forums The recent announcement of the return of Lucasfilm Games and what this means for Star Wars games ignited the hype of fans of the successful and legendary franchise, especially because it will be approached from different perspectives and no longer from the conditions of exclusivity. Will we see the reveal of Star Wars Battlefront 3 this year? Dr. Anthony Fauci called on Tuesday for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris to get vaccinated for Covid-19. “This is a person who, very soon, will be president of the United States,” Fauci said in an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “For security reasons, I really feel strongly that we should get them vaccinated as soon as we possibly can. We want him fully protected as he enters into the presidency in January. So that would be my strong recommendation.” He added that he believed President Donald Trump should take the vaccine as well, despite beating a case of the coronavirus in October, in addition to Vice President Mike Pence. “You know, if he were asking me, I would recommend that he do that, as well as Vice President Pence. You still want to protect people who are, you know, very important to our country right now. Even though the president himself was infected, and he has, likely, antibodies that would be protective, we’re not sure how long that protection lasts. So to be doubly sure, I would recommend that...

President Donald Trump urged Joe Biden to ‘Get well soon’ after the former Vice President injured his foot Sunday. Get well soon! https://t.co/B0seiO84ld — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 30, 2020 “Get well soon!” Trump wrote on Twitter sharing news footage of Biden leaving an orthopedic office in Deleware. Biden’s office said “on background” that the former Vice President “slipped while playing with his dog Major, and twisted his ankle” while at his home in Delaware. Biden was taken to an orthopedist for an examination and an x-ray. A statement from Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the Director and Executive Medicine, of George Washington Medical Faculty Associates stated that Biden had “sustained a sprain of his right foot” but transported Biden to a different medical facility for a CT scan.   The CT scan revealed that Biden did have fractures in his foot after the injury. “Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging,” OConnor wrote, noting that the CT scan “confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are...

Longmont will soon allow medical marijuana delivery by approved dispensaries, and they don't even have to be located there. Approved unanimously by the Longmont City Council on October 13, the new ordinance allows medical dispensaries to start delivering within the town starting on October 26. But it may take longer before patients will actually see medication being dropped off at their doors. While marijuana stores don't need to be located within Longmont city limits to qualify for this new program, they must be licensed for delivery by the state Marijuana Enforcement Division as well as the City of Longmont. Although there are several medical dispensaries located nearby in unincorporated Boulder County, there is only one licensed medical dispensary, Twin Peaks, in Longmont.             by John Solomon  “I think I’ll be back soon,” President Trump said Saturday evening in a four-minute video from Walter Reed Medical Center, where the president is being treated for COVID-19. Seated at a desk flanked by flags, the president offered words of guarded confidence, optimism and reassurance — about his own heath and the state of the larger national and international battle against the global pandemic. “We’re gonna beat this coronavirus — or whatever you want to call it — and we’re going to beat it soundly,” vowed the president, looking relaxed and informal in a blue jacket and crisp, open-necked white shirt. “So many things have happened” in the fight against the virus, the president noted. “If you look at the therapeutics, which I’m taking right now — some of them — and others coming out soon … frankly they’re miracles.” Indirectly addressing questions about a paused presidential campaign thrown abruptly into uncertainty during its homestretch, the president said, “I look forward to finishing up the campaign the way it was started and the way...

President Trump and the first lady have joined the ranks of the 7.3 million Americans who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus. Please join us in wishing them a speedy and painless recovery. Trump announced his diagnosis via Twitter, saying he and Melania will quarantine immediately. “We will get through this TOGETHER!” he said with his signature bullishness. Vice President Mike Pence and his wife tested negative; we pray no more cases pop up in the White House or Cabinet. Sources say the president has minor, cold-like symptoms. Some much-needed rest — he’s been hitting the campaign trail hard as early voting begins so far in advance of Election Day — could have him back at 100 percent in no time. And we hope those wishing the first family ill stop to think before sending their next social-media post. Filed under Coronavirus ,  donald trump ,  editorial ,  melania trump ,  10/2/20
First, some sad news: Stewart's Root-Beer of Hazlet is closing. The first Stewart's Root-Beer in America opened in 1924. Its current owner in Hazlet Township, Jeff DeBlasio, has been serving the Jersey Shore for 11 years. For nearly a century, the franchise served classic American fast food, with root-beer floats and hot dogs topping the menu. A newer, pretty popular 21st-Century favorite has been "vegan pizza," according to the Hazlet eatery's diehards. A glimmer of good news is that the popular Monmouth County joint at 274 Route 36 will be open a few more days.  Permanent closure is set for Tuesday -- the day after Labor Day, DeBlasio announced here on Facebook.  Past business was bolstered by visitors to Keansburg Amusement Park, Runaway Rapids Waterpark and Keyport Waterfront Park, among other Jersey Shore attractions.  DeBlasio was not immediately available to talk, but his social media posts already attracted numerous replies expressing sadness, praise and well-wishes for the future. (And thanks for adding vegan pizza to the traditional fare.) New Jersey and national restrictions on dining and travel due to coronavirus no doubt had a...

SAN FRANCISCO — Well, it was fun while it lasted. Jon Rahm got to bask in being ranked No. 1 in the world for all of two weeks. When the 25-year-old Spaniard won the Memorial Tournament two-plus weeks ago, he realized a dream he’d been carrying since he was a youth: He ascended to the No. 1 ranking in the world — joining his idol, Seve Ballesteros, as the only Spaniards to hold the No. 1 world ranking. With Justin Thomas’ win this past Sunday in Memphis, Tenn., at the WGC-St. Jude, he wrested Rahm’s No. 1 ranking away after just two weeks and enters this week’s PGA Championship as No. 1. To Rahm’s credit, rather than lament his lost top ranking, he dished out credit to Thomas on Tuesday, two days before the PGA begins at Harding Park. “It’s well-earned,’’ Rahm said. “I played pretty bad last week [tie for 52nd] and he played amazing to win. I think we are in an era right now where it’s going to be hard to have somebody distance themselves. When...

Jason Blum, head of Blumhouse Productions and producer of the upcoming horror sequel, has promised that they are trying to get the much-anticipated footage out into the world.
