The litany of allegations by 17 female claimants includes bullying, controlling behavior and inappropriate use of physical force against athletes as young as 6 years old in a “winning at all costs” mentality. Their notice told British Gymnastics that they are seeking financial compensation and an acknowledgement of negligence. In a statement, Nessel said that the body of Geddert, 62, was found dead this afternoon after committing suicide. The opening of an investigation against Geddert took place in February 2018, following the case of Larry Nassar, a former sports doctor who sexually abused hundreds of girls and adolescents and that he was sentenced to more than 300 years in prison.     A Lexington, Kentucky, man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a sex trafficking scheme that also included drug and firearm trafficking in the area. 41-year-old Prince Bixler was sentenced to 36 years in prison after he was convicted of 15 federal felonies which included sex trafficking by force and coercion and witness tampering, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Thursday. Bixler was found guilty in September of 2020 following a seven-day trial and seven hours of deliberations from the jury, the Lexington Herald Leader reported. Bixler reportedly coerced at least three “young, drug addicted women” into the ring between 2013 and March 2018 by physically assaulting them and creating “a climate of fear,” the DOJ stated. He would also use the women to sell methamphetamines and other drugs in the Lexington area. Brandy Johnson, 42, of Beach Park, was charged with aggravated battery and abuse of a long-term facility resident following an investigation by the Illinois State Police Division of Internal Investigation.     A former Morris County student is taking legal action against two districts for allegedly failing to address the years of homophobic bullying he endured, causing him to have an “emotional breakdown,” a report says. Andrew Arcangelo states in a lawsuit filed last week that the West Morris and Chester school districts neglected to take action when he made numerous reports of being punched, kicked, groped and verbally abused, NJHerald reports. The abuse began in 2011, when Arcangelo was a fifth-grader at Bragg Elementary School — and continued at Black River Middle and West Morris Central High Schools until he left during his freshman year on recommendations from his therapist, the report says.     Wichita State men's basketball coach Gregg Marshall has resigned and agreed to a $7.7 million settlement following the school's internal investigation into allegations of verbal and physical abuse, including claims he punched a player and choked an assistant. The settlement will be paid out over six years, the Kansas university announced Tuesday. Earlier this week, Ivan Sanchez, a 30-year-old Hoboken Housing Authority janitor, was charged with beating Heather Cruz's son, Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit detectives, Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The boy was found with bruises on his face, ear, buttocks, lower back and genitals, the prosecutor said. An investigation found Cruz, 28, let it happen, Suarez said. It was not clear how Cruz and Sanchez knew each other. Cruz was arrested near 29th Street by  Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit detectives around 12:45 p.m. Friday, Suarez said.
