The Tennessee Titans are reportedly preparing to play the Bills this weekend. According to Dianna Russini, the Titans have now had two straight days of all negative coronavirus tests, and the game against Buffalo “in Nashville is as scheduled.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) Tennessee previously had their game against the Steelers postponed. Day 2 of all negative test results for the #Titans per sources. This means the team can get back to practice at the facility on Wednesday and the game against the Buffalo #Bills in Nashville is as scheduled. Great news for everyone. — Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) October 6, 2020 This is great news, and it’s further proof that I was correct when I told people to not panic about a single game needing to be pushed later into the season. So many people in the media wanted to panic when the game against the Steelers didn’t happen as planned. I told people to relax, and turned out to be 100% correct.   View this post on Instagram   A...
Shortly before her interview with Westword is scheduled to begin, Lauren Boebert, the Republican nominee for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, sends a text revealing that she’ll be a few minutes late in calling. “On the phone with Ted Nugent,” she notes. It’s no surprise that the Nuge, a boisterous Second Amendment diehard once known as the "Motor City Madman" for the guitar pyrotechnics at the heart of 1970s-vintage hard-rock scorchers such as “Cat Scratch Fever” and “Wang Dang Sweet Poontang,” is intrigued by Boebert. After all, she’s become one of the most talked-about 2020 candidates in the country — the subject of a recent feature-length Politico profile, among other examples of national press coverage — only partly because of her primary win over veteran Republican congressman Scott Tipton, whom she toppled by way of an attack from the right. Boebert is also the co-owner of Shooters Grill, a Rifle eatery that made global headlines back in 2014 because its waitstaff packs heat, open-carrying sidearms while serving up so called “Chambered Scrambles & Skillets” and menu items with names such as...

Matthew Rozsa October 5, 2020 9:02PM (UTC) Despite mixed signs about whether he is actually healthy, President Donald Trump announced Monday that he is going to leave Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he has been treated since last week for COVID-19. "I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good!" Trump announced on Twitter. "Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!" : His tweet came shortly after he criticized the media in a separate post, tweeting minutes earlier that "the Media is upset because I got into a secure vehicle to say thank you to the many fans and supporters who were standing outside of the hospital for many hours, and even days, to pay their respect to their President. If I didn't do it, Media would say RUDE!!!" Trump was referencing an event that took place on Sunday, when Trump left the hospital in his motorcade in order...

YouTube Orlando Hall is a federal inmate scheduled to be executed on Nov. 19, 2020. Orlando Hall is the eighth federal inmate scheduled to be put to death since July of this year. He will be the second Black inmate executed since the federal death penalty was reinstated this year after a 17-year moratorium. The 49-year-old received the death penalty for his role in the kidnapping, rape, and live burial of 16-year-old Lisa Rene in 1994. Hall was 23 at the time of the crime. The Dallas News reported that Hall was the first person sentenced to death under the federal death statute which was enacted on September 13, 1994. His execution is scheduled for November 19 at the Terre Haute Federal Prison in Indiana, according to the Department of Justice. Hall was sentenced to death along with another man, Bruce Webster, but Webster’s death sentence was overturned in April 2019 when a court deemed him intellectually disabled. There were three other men involved with the crime but Steven Beckly, Demetrius Hall (Orlando’s brother) and Marvin Holloway...
Denver is still searching for a way to balance new businesses and industry diversity within legal marijuana as a city advisory committee wraps up discussions on future marijuana licensing policy. The city's Marijuana Licensing Work Group — a 24-person panel created earlier this year to advise the mayor and city council on potential marijuana delivery and hospitality businesses with a social equity lens in mind — met Tuesday, September 29, for the fifth time to discuss the future of Denver's marijuana licenses. Although much that future still looks hazy with no scheduled meetings left and the recommendations scheduled to be delivered to Mayor Michael Hancock and the Denver City Council by November, there was some resolution in future social equity matters. Marijuana delivery and social consumption were legalized at the state level earlier this year, but the laws allow local governments to opt in or out of the new license types. (Denver has allowed social pot consumption businesses at the local level since 2017, but the city's rules are more strict than the new state law's.) We still don't know...

This millennial was already treading on the fashion grounds with a chic fashion game in tow before her debut in SOTY2. This weekend’s game between Baylor and Houston has been postponed. The Baylor Bears are off to a tough start in the college football season. The team had its first game against Louisiana Tech called off due to positive COVID-19 tests. The Houston Cougars faced a similar scenario as they had a game with Memphis postponed for the same reason. The two schools made magic happen and scheduled a matchup for this weekend in Waco. Unfortunately, that game has been postponed as well and both teams will keep waiting to play in 2020. Confirmed: Baylor-Houston is postponed. First reported by @BruceFeldmanCFB. Both teams do have games scheduled for next Saturday and if the positive tests are only on the Baylor side, Houston...
The NBA said Thursday it is "hopeful" the league will resume the 2020 playoffs after Milwaukee Bucks players decided to sit out Game 5 against the Orlando Magic in protest of the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Following the Bucks' decision on Wednesday, it prompted other teams from professional sports leagues to follow them.  Games scheduled for Thursday have been canceled, the league said. "We are hopeful to resume games either Friday or Saturday. There is a video conference call meeting scheduled later this afternoon between a group of NBA players and team governors representing the 13 teams in Orlando, along with representatives from the National Basketball Players Association and the league office and NBA Labor Relations Committee Chairman Michael Jordan, to discuss next steps." Candace Owens sat down with the Daily Caller’s Vince Coglianese to discuss the upcoming election and why she believes the results may be “rigged.” Like President Donald Trump, Owens sees the potential mass use of mail-in ballots as a potential threat to the legitimacy of the November election. She also argues the coronavirus pandemic has made both Trump and presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden less available to the American people than almost any other pair of candidates in American history. “This is the greatest rigging of an American election that we are all playing a part in right now,” Owens said. “We don’t see the candidates; candidates aren’t allowed to travel and talk about their policies.” (RELATED: Exclusive Candace Owens Interview, Part One: Her Views On Black Lives Matter) She also said there have been grumblings of cancelling the presidential debates altogether. Trump himself has repeatedly suggested the election could be “rigged,” and that mail-in voting increases the possibility of fraud. He floated the idea of delaying the election in a tweet last week, but the idea was roundly rejected...
Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa (Photo by Joshua Lott/Getty Images) “If you build it, he will come,” doesn’t apply during a COVID-19 shortened season Amid the MLB’s COVID-19 crisis, they will not be playing their scheduled game between the Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals at the original Field of Dreams site in Dyersville, Iowa, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The game was already farfetched, and more a childhood dream (no pun intended), once the country succumbed to a pandemic. Sure, it could have been played without fans, but such an event would lose much of its luster, similar to MLB’s Little League Classic, which was cancelled on April 30, rather than postponed to a later point in the season. The Cardinals and Marlins outbreaks haven’t helped the situationRosenthal claims that the cancellation is not tied to the recent outbreak in the Cardinals clubhouse. While it may not directly related, it surely played a role in establishing the severity of MLB’s recent issues containing COVID-19 within its ranks. As many as 13 Cardinals have now tested positive for...

College football leaders are in the process of piecing together plans for a regular season during the COVID-19 pandemic. If it is possible to play, everyone anticipates there will be disruptions, added expenses and loads of stress just to get through it. So how motivated will schools be to tack on a postseason game after all that? Especially one that doesn’t determine a national title? “You’ve got to think they’ll be such a heightened sensitivity to adding another opportunity that doesn’t contribute to something else,” Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said. “I imagine the top bowls will want to try and still do it. But you’ve got to wonder if the schools will be willing to play. You made it through the regular season and now your going to add another event that adds complexity and cost.” There are more bowl games scheduled for the coming season than ever before in major college football: 42, not including the College Football Playoff championship. The New Mutants is apparently still on track to hit theaters on August 28th, even as Tenet and Mulan face indefinite delays. Details on the film’s theatrical plans come from The New Mutants’ panel at [email protected], the digital version of the annual San Diego festival, where the cast gathered to talk about the film. The panel opens with a cheeky reminder the movie would open in theaters on August 28th. They also brought the movie’s opening scene, which can be seen above. The opening scene kicks in at 24:10, with a panel discussion about the movie playing beforehand. Fans seemed to anticipate that Disney would move The New Mutants to a digital release in light of recent delays. Warner Bros. delayed Tenet indefinitely earlier this week and, at the same time as The New Mutants panel, Disney announced that Mulan was also delayed indefinitely. Everything seemed to point to The New Mutants also having its date shifted or moving to a digital-first title. Disney has already moved three of its movies from being theatrical releases to Disney Plus exclusives:...
The TV channel for a NASCAR race is elusive enough in a normal season when Fox and FS1 trade broadcasts of Cup Series events through the first half of the schedule before NBC and NBCSN take over for the second half. The Subdirectorate-General for State Museums has thus responded to a request for information made by the Office for Attention to Disability (OADIS), an agency under the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda, to which Cermi filed a complaint denouncing the lack of accessibility existing in that museum.
