    Police in Ohio have charged a mother with murdering her son after they say she reported him as missing, then admitted that the six-year-old had been killed and thrown in the Ohio River.  James Robert Hutchinson was reported missing by his mother on Sunday morning, and many people came out to search for him, Middletown Police Chief David Birk said in a news release.     Fotis Dulos' former attorney turned alleged accomplice, Kent Mawhinney, has turned on him and his ex-girlfriend Michelle Troconis in jailhouse informant interview to try to reduce any punishment he may face.  Mawhinney is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, as has Troconis.     A man and a woman have been charged in the killing of a 21-year-old Los Angeles marijuana dispensary worker whose body was found in a shallow grave in the Mojave Desert nearly two months after his disappearance.  Ethan Astaphan, 27, of San Gabriel, and Sonita Heng, 20, of Los Angeles, were arrested last Thursday in connection to the death of Juan Carlos Hernandez. Investigators said they found the body of Brian Trotter, 25, in the trunk of the silver Acura, which was being driven by Robert Avery Coltrain, 25. The autopsy showed that Trotter, whose body was “in an advanced stage of decomposition,” had been shot to death, the Herald wrote. Briseida and Sukhjinder Sran were taken into custody on Friday morning, Madera police announced in a news conference. Chief Dino Lawson said detectives served an arrest warrant at around 7:15am at the home of Thaddeus’ parents and arrested Briseida and Sukhjinder Sran.     Officials say a body found near Pike Island on Friday night is believed to be that of a man who disappeared in the Mississippi River on Wednesday while trying to swim across the river. Public safety crews were called to Hidden Falls Regional Park off Mississippi River Boulevard in St. Paul on Wednesday shortly after 7 p.m. A person who was on shore reported the man, believed to be 39, had apparently been trying to swim across the river, said Roy Magnuson, Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office spokesman. The sheriff’s office water patrol and dive team conducted extensive searches for the man, including using sonar, for the two days he was missing. St. Paul fire crews also searched from the shore and in two boats, as did the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office water patrol.
