The Queen didn't want 'pomp and ceremony for herself' and simply wanted to be buried next to her father - 'but she recognised the role she played', according to royal experts. Her late Majesty, who died at Balmoral aged 96, was laid to rest in a moving private ceremony at Windsor's King George VI Memorial Chapel on Monday night - following a huge and prestigious public funeral at Westminster Abbey. But one royal commentator has speculated that the Queen wouldn't have wanted such a service and only agreed to it out of duty.  Royal biographer Penny Junor told People: 'She wouldn't have wanted that pomp and ceremony for herself, but she recognised the role she played... Even in death, she was still serving.'  The Queen's final resting place has been marked with a simple slab reuniting her for eternity with her adored husband Prince Philip and her parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. Historian Robert Hardman, author of Queen of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II, said: 'She had no wish to see a statue of herself or to even...

More than 1,500 guests packed into Westminster Abbey yesterday to remember the Duke of Edinburgh, including members of the Queen's extended royal family, but one notable absentee was her former daughter-in-law, the Duchess of York.   Fergie disgraced ex-husband Prince Andrew, who continues to live with the Duchess at their home of the Royal Lodge in Windsor, played a starring role by arriving with the Queen, despite the Epstein scandal that has de-railed his royal life.  And given her steadfast closness to her ex-husband, the attendance of her two daughters and a warm relationship with the Queen, royal watchers might have expected to see the Duchess among the congregation.  However, Sarah, 62, and Philip had a frosty relationship and she has been excluded from royal celebrations for many years since divorcing Andrew.  While Philip regarded their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, with affection, he is thought to have viewed the Duchess of York as 'simply beyond the pale' after a series of scandals. However, the feud did appear to thaw somewhat towards the end of the Duke's life, and he attended Princess Eugenie's wedding...
Kate Middleton's red carpet embrace with Prince Charles shows their genuine love for each other and her role as his 'emotional' support, a body language expert has claimed.  The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, joined Charles, 72, Camilla, 74, and her husband Prince William to meet 007 star Daniel Craig and other cast members including Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux and Lashana Lynch at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Royal sources said the outing of Charles, Camilla, William and Kate could herald a ‘new era’ of collaboration and solidarity between the future king and his eldest son. And it appeared Kate and Charles were closer than ever, with the pair sharing a close embrace on the red carpet.  Body language expert Judi James told FEMAIL the Duchess had stepped into a 'much closer and more emotionally comforting role' in the Prince's life in recent months, saying: 'We see very few PDAs involving Charles unless it’s from his eternally spontaneously tactile niece Zara. Kate Middleton's red carpet embrace with Prince Charles shows their genuine love for each other and her role as his 'emotional'...
The woman who shares the role of conservator over Britney Spears with the singer's father Jamie claims she asked her as recently as yesterday to stay in control over her decisions - despite her public court plea for freedom just two weeks ago.  Jodi Montgomery is Britney's Conservator of Person, meaning she's in charge of her medical care, whereas her father Jamie is in control of her finances as the Conservator of her Estate. Jamie appointed Jodi to the position in 2019.  Jodi is a social worker and professional conservator who runs a company with her husband.   Despite Britney begging a judge last week to free her, she still remains unable to make her own financial and medical decisions.  The campaign to free her among her fans is gathering pace and celebrities are also joining in, advocating on social media and in interviews with the hashtag #FreeBritney.  The next court hearing is next week and on Tuesday, Britney's court-appointed attorney Sam Ingham resigned. He had, for years, failed to file paperwork on her behalf to end the conservatorship. According to...

Cuban-American clergy must stand united with the growing chorus of Catholic voices on the island condemning communist oppression, Father Fernando Hería, who heads the Cuban exile community’s most important Marian shrine, told Breitbart News this week in an exclusive interview. Hería noted that, after decades of Catholic leaders in the country struggling not to “lose the little they have achieved” after the mass firing squad killings of Catholics that defined the early days of the Cuban Revolution, Catholic voices are rising to condemn the anti-Christian practices of the Castro regime, often risking their lives. Now, more than ever, he asserted, they need unity from those on the other side of the Straits of Florida. Father Hería, who arrived in America himself as a refugee from the island, currently serves as the rector of Our Lady of Charity National Shrine in Miami, commonly known in Spanish as the Ermita de la Caridad. Our Lady of Charity is the patroness saint of Cuba and her shrine is widely seen as the most important religious and cultural site for Cuban-American Catholics in the country....
