    A 27-year-old man is facing charges after police said drove a Ford Mustang recklessly in front of spectators in a Long Island parking lot. Officers received a report of cars and spectators gathered in a North Lindenhurst parking lot located at 600 North Wellwood Ave. at about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, the Suffolk County Police Department said. Police reported finding several spectators and "numerous" vehicles engaging in reckless conduct, such as speeding, spinning tires, and doing "donuts" near the spectators.  Jay Euskadi, of Bay Shore, was arrested and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and reckless driving, SCPD said. Euskadi was also issued traffic summonses, authorities said.  His 2002 Ford Mustang was seized, and he is set to be arraigned at a later date, SCPD said.
    A Hudson Valley man was arrested for alleged DWI and reckless driving after almost hitting a sheriff's patrol vehicle and a deputy. Ulster County resident Jalen Allen, age 25, of Kingston, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 12 around 3:45 a.m. Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office were conducting a traffic stop on Route 32 in Tillson when Allen's vehicle, traveling north, passed the traffic stop at a high rate of speed and almost struck the patrol vehicle and deputy, the Ulster County Sheriff's Office said. Allen was stopped on Route 32 near the Rosendale Recreation Center and found to be driving under the influence, police said. He was arrested and charged: DWI Reckless driving Reckless endangerment Allen was released with an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Rosendale Court at a later date.
    A Stafford 23-year-old was arrested after he crashed his car while drunk and texting behind the wheel, police said.  At around 10:23 p.m. August 8, Jarred Bennett started texting while driving on Winding Creek Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Bennett hit a ditch and drove into a tree, due to his lack of focus at the wheel, police reported. Authorities said that once officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Bennett had been drinking alcohol and was not wearing a seatbelt when he crashed. He was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, using a phone while operating a vehicle, failure to maintain lanes, and other related offenses, law enforcement said. Police said Bennett was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $3,000 secured bond. 
    A 53-year-old driver is facing several charges after driving recklessly through a busy Pennsylvania shopping center in an attempt to attract the attention of police, authorities said. John Martin Jr. apparently sped off Route 23 into the Morgantown Crossings Shopping Plaza in Berks County and drove into a retention basin, blowing out one of his tires around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17, Caernarvon Township police said. Martin, of East Earl, managed to free his car and continued driving through the crowded parking lot before stopping outside the Walmart store, police said. When officers approached him, he explained that he was trying to get their attention because "no one would listen to him," they said. Martin has been charged with recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct, in addition to reckless and careless driving, records show. He was sent to county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to court papers. 
    Two Maryland men drove a little too fast and too furious on their off-road vehicles and are now facing charges after their ATVs were seized, the sheriff’s department announced. Waldorf residents Tavon James Dodson, 26, and Sean Gerard Estep, 36, were the subject of multiple noise complaints about operating their vehicles recklessly in Charles County, leading to a special enforcement detail in their hometown that led to their arrests on Wednesday, June 29. Officers from the sheriff's office said that investigators were made aware of reckless driving in the area of St. Thomas Drive, Village Street, and Stoddert Middle School, leading to the detail. Upon arrival at the scene, a spokesperson for the sheriff said that officers located multiple people driving erratically, leading to the apprehension of Dodson, who was taken into custody without incident.     A Western Massachusetts man has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after injuring a sheriff's deputy while driving recklessly. The incident took place in Hampden County in Springfield around 11:45 a.m., Thursday, June 9. Police attempted to stop Tyler Scheurer, age 36 of Holyoke after he was spotted speeding on Birnie Avenue, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police. When the officer approached the vehicle Scheurer sped off just missing the officer. When the officer approached the driver again at a stop light the driver again sped away when the light turned green, Walsh said. Additional help was called for and sheriff's deputies observed the car parked on the 100 block of Avocado Street, Walsh said. The Springfield officer arrived, but when Scheurer noticed law enforcement he crashed into the sheriff’s vehicle several times. Scheurer then crashed into another vehicle and ran over a sheriff’s deputy’s foot, clipping his arm and leg while driving away, Walsh added.     A man was arrested and accused of fleeing police and driving recklessly on Long Island. The incident happened on Commerce Drive in Hauppauge at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Police responded to a report of vehicles racing on Commerce Drive, and located 26-year-old Michael Beyer, of Queens, in a 2014 Nissan 370Z preparing to race another vehicle, SCPD said. Officers tried to pull the Nissan over, but Beyer drove away, weaving in and out of traffic before stopping near Moreland Road, police said.  Beyer was charged with reckless driving and third-degree unlawful fleeing an officer, SCPD reported. SCPD said the Nissan was impounded, and Beyer is set to appear in court on Friday, April 29.
    A suspended Little Ferry motorist deliberately got into his car and drove away from police, blowing a stop sign and a light before speeding past a school on the wrong side of the road, authorities said. It began after Khalid Jackson, 38, came to headquarters Monday to file a complaint against police after getting a summons last week for driving on the suspended list, Police Chief James Walters said.     SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane County sheriff says one man has been killed in an officer-involved shooting in the city of Spokane Valley. Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich says a sheriff’s deputy tried to conduct a traffic stop on a reckless driver on Sunday evening. But the man continued driving, initiating a chase with police. The sheriff's office says the man drove recklessly and continued to hit parked cars, go into opposite lanes and swerve at high speed. Deputies tried to stop the driver with spike strips, but were unsuccessful. At one point the suspect drove toward a marked patrol car with two deputies inside. The sheriff's office says one deputy fired his gun, hitting the suspect, who died at the scene.     A BLM protester who was arrested in Washington DC on Saturday night has also been at riots in Portland and Kenosha, police said on Monday, as they revealed they were looking into whether groups were being funded to travel to protest hot-spots.  Jeremy Vajko, 27, a Microsoft engineer, was arrested on Saturday night during violent clashes between police and protesters in the nation's capital.  The Metropolitan Police Department incident report into his arrest claims he was driving recklessly near the Hay Adams hotel and drove 'into a crowd of over one hundred individuals'.  He spent the night in jail and was released on Sunday.     A 31-year old DWI man was driving recklessly and without a license in the parking lot of a Hackettstown Wawa, authorities charged. Officers responded to the Wawa on Mountain Avenue on a report of a reckless driver shortly before 9:10 p.m. on Friday, June 19, Hackettstown Police said in a release. Upon arrival, officers located Jake Forsythe, 31, of Hackensack inside the store and detected an alcoholic odor while speaking with him, authorities said. Forsythe was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath test, careless driving, reckless driving, and failure to possess a driver’s license. Forsythe was released pending an appearance in court.
