After surrendering two runs in the fourth inning, Gray decided to swap outfits in search of better luck.  “I came into the clubhouse and I got completely naked and I changed everything that I was wearing except for my cleats,” Gray told reporters after Wednesday’s game. “I tried to cool off. I changed my jersey, my pants, my underwear and my socks — I guess that’s all I was wearing — and just tried to reset and start over.”  Following the wardrobe change, Gray retired the final nine batters he faced and notched five strikeouts. The Reds offense, too, turned the game around, scoring five runs across the final three innings to...

CHELSEA and Manchester City transfer target Mohamed Ihattaren is on his last chance at PSV Eindhoven due to "totally unacceptable" behaviour. Ihattaren is one of the world's most exciting young talents following a string of impressive displays for PSV, which landed him in the Guardian’s top 60 Next Generation talents list in 2019. 2PSV Eindhoven star Mohamed Ihattaren has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester CityCredit: GETTY IMAGES - GETTY But manager Roger Schmidt is not pleased with the overconfident attacking midfielder's attitude and warned him that he will be forced to drop him unless he falls in line. Getty Images Boston Celtics All-Star Kemba Walker hasn’t been himself, of late, and following his recent dud — where he shot at a 20% clip on 4-of-20 attempts from the floor against the Phoenix Suns — Walker addressed his struggles, along with his overall temperament. Magnified by his worst shooting performance as a Celtic — a 1-of-12 flop against the champion Los Angeles Lakers — Walker, one week removed, followed up on a Super Bowl Sunday in Phoenix with another disappointing start. And unfortunately for the Celtics, Kemba’s recent game had something glaringly in common with the former; both resulted in disappointing losses. Boston, capping off its four-game, west coast, road trip against the league-leading Utah Jazz (19-5), is in dire need of a bounce-back performance from its All-Star point guard. Meanwhile, Walker, whose frustration boiled over in the second quarter when he attempted to draw a 3-point shooting foul that came to no avail.Kemba Walker: ‘I Let Myself Get A Little Too Frustrated’Now, he vows to correct his attitude, reminding everyone that his teammates often rely on...
An opportunity came along last summer to do some good for the Earth and at the same time engage in a form of distraction late in my working life. Owners of a piece of property a distance from our family farm in western Minnesota reached out and asked if we were interested in renting 120 acres that was coming out of the Conservation Reserve Program. They found us based on what they heard we had done on our own farm, located west of Willmar in Chippewa County. We have in the last three decades converted a small 320-acre crop farm into a cattle and hog operation that sells all the meats produced directly to stores and individuals. I told them I would only use the land for grazing. The land is damaged, as is all land in agricultural use. Because it is on glacial till with a gravel subsoil and steep slopes, it is designated by the government’s Natural Resources Conservation Agency as highly erodible. The damage is stark. As a measure of the trend in agriculture in the 30-plus...

After months of downplaying COVID-19 ("It's like a miracle, it will disappear!") and repeatedly refusing to wear masks at public events, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the coronavirus. The implications of this news include more than a mere "I told you so." Trump has fallen ill with a potentially deadly virus just weeks before Election Day, and in the midst of a global pandemic, record-breaking wildfire and hurricane seasons, and a growing national reckoning with racial violence. : The president's diagnosis has also laid bare a rift in his persistent anti-science strategy of deny, deny, deny: It's a lot harder to ignore a crisis — be it the severity of COVID-19 or the catastrophic dangers of climate change — when reality slaps...

If you want something, go after it wholeheartedly. Less talk and more action will be your ticket to a better future. Use your...
“Black lives matter,” asserted many. “All lives matter,” responded many others. This is where any ongoing conversation usually comes to a screeching halt. BIDEN-HARRIS NOT OFFERING SOLUTIONS TO STOP RISING VIOLENCE IN DEM-RUN CITIES: FORMER NYPD LIEUTENANT Why is that? People with different beliefs often struggle to communicate in a way that builds empathy and connection. Even with the best of intentions, all it takes is one wrong turn—one moment that evokes a strong emotion like anger, fear, shame, or anxiety—to derail the conversation. Instead of responding with words that lead to greater understanding, we lash out, dismiss, ridicule, ‘block’ the other person, and so on. How can we better engage with those who stand “across the divide?” With the final stretch of the 2020 presidential campaign just around the corner and a huge schism between the two sides, we believe that as impossible as it may seem, it is possible. There can be no positive change without first understanding each other to find common ground. We all want basic safety and security. We all want freedom. We all want to...
