THE Russell Wilson saga continues to gain steam. The Denver Broncos quarterback has faced a myriad of negative headlines since his arrival in Colorado this offseason, fueled by bizarre commercial appearances, cringeworthy behavior, and poor play. 5The 3-8 Broncos are bottom of the AFC WestCredit: Getty Images - Getty 5Wilson has the NFL's third-lowest quarterback ratingCredit: Getty Images - Getty The latest story to have emerged simply stokes the flames further when it comes to a reported divide in the locker room about Wilson. Potential proof of this divide came via 9News' Mike Klis who reported on Wednesday that "Per source Wilson’s wife Ciara thru him a birthday party last night and “it looked like about half the team was there.” On player’s day off. Why do people have to be so hurtful?" This came the same day that NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on The Insiders that "Russ has lost some people around that team. He has lost some people in that locker room." Opinions were divided on social media when it came to Wilson's apparently lackluster birthday turnout. Read More...
David versus Goliath at MetLife Stadium on Sunday? Not entirely, as the 5-3 Jets will host arguably the best team in the NFL, the 6-1 Bills. But it does have a vibe that no one is giving Gang Green much chance to win this game as they’re 12.5-point underdogs. All year long, fans of other teams have complained about how the Jets have gotten all the breaks. How the Green and White have played backup quarterbacks in wins against the Browns, Dolphins and Broncos. Sunday is a chance to show the naysayer that the Jets are a legitimate playoff contender. Especially after letting last weekend’s game against the Patriots slip away. “You can’t get too high, you can’t get too low,” Jets defensive lineman Vinny Curry told the Daily News about the game against the Bills. “It is the most game because it’s the next one. “It’s a division game, so that’s the only thing that’s going to be on our mind. It is our next game, it is a division game and we have a challenge ahead.” One player...
Would you buy a picture painted by a mass murderer? Could you enjoy music if you knew it had been composed by a monster? Can you disentangle good art from the bad people who sometimes create it? These are questions Channel 4 hopes to provoke when it airs a debate next week called Jimmy Carr Destroys Art.  The show has bought a picture painted by Adolf Hitler and will allow a studio audience to decide whether it should be burnt with a flamethrower by the controversial comedian. Understandably, the plan has been criticised as a tasteless gimmick. The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust said the show is ‘making Hitler a topic of light entertainment’. Olivia Marks-Woldman, the trust’s chief executive, declared that the programme was ‘simply a stunt for shock value and cannot excuse the trivialisation of the horrors of Nazism’. She has a point. But while Hitler’s painting grabs the headlines, he is just one of the ‘problematic’ artists to be debated. Others include convicted paedophile Rolf Harris and the womaniser and wife-beater Pablo Picasso. The show has bought a...
IT was another miserable night for the Denver Broncos as they went 2-4 on the NFL season. And to compound fans' misery, he suffered a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter at SoFi Stadium. Wilson completed just fifteen passes all night for 188 yards and a single touchdown. That score came in the first quarter as exciting UCLA rookie tight end Greg Dulcich bagged a debut NFL touchdown. RICHARD SHERMAN loves throwing shade at Russell Wilson. The two may have once been Super Bowl winning teammates at the Seattle Seahawks, but they're evidently not the best of friends. 1Russell Wilson joined the Denver Broncos via a trade this offseason Last week Sherman took to Twitter to have a laugh at Wilson's expense as the latter's Denver Broncos struggled in the red zone on their way to a season opening loss against the Seahawks. Sherman wrote: "So goal to go situations are tough….." This week, Sherman took to Twitter again as the Broncos struggled once more to convert against the Houston Texans. The lawyer for a ‘killer’ yoga teacher is claiming that law enforcement quizzed her over the death of her love rival illegally – as court documents reveal her boyfriend told cops he regrets buying the murder weapon. Kaitlin Armstrong, 34, is accused of gunning down her love-rival Anna Moriah ‘Mo’ Wilson on May 11 in Austin, Texas. Wilson was discovered dead in a friend's apartment on May 11 with two bullet holes in her head and another in her chest. Armstrong reportedly flew into a jealous rage after discovering pro-cyclist Wilson, 25, was seeing her boyfriend, Colin Strickland. But in new court documents filed by her attorney, Strickland repeatedly told cops during interview that Armstrong was not a jealous person and described her as the ‘least volatile’ woman he had dated. Armstrong’s lawyer, Rick Cofer, filed new documents to try and suppress evidence on August 17 – claiming that his client was not read her Miranda rights before being interrogated. He claims that evidence was obtained with an ‘illegal arrest warrant’ and accuses detectives of basing the arrest affidavit on...

As Page Six previously reported, Hanks told a group of fans Wednesday night to “back the f–k off” after one person touched his wife, Rita Wilson, and caused her to nearly fall onto the sidewalk. “My wife? Getty Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson dominated at the 2022 Pro Bowl Competition. I t wasn’t the best of seasons for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. His 149 consecutive games started streak ended because of a broken finger he suffered in Week 6. The fascinating life of mafia wife Anna Genovese is the subject of an upcoming HBO series that will explore her role in Manhattan's drag club scene, her illicit lesbian romances, and her bold testimony against her notorious crime boss husband Vito Genovese.      Anna became the Italian-American mobster's second wife just a few weeks after her first husband was mysteriously murdered in 1932. The businesswoman ran drag clubs and gay bars in Manhattan, reportedly having a number of lesbian affairs.  Two decades after she married into the mob, she reached a new level of infamy when she left Vito in 1950, ultimately breaking the rules of the Sicilian mafia, a.k.a. Cosa Nostra, by revealing his illegal criminal dealings in the divorce proceedings.  For years, her story was overshadowed by the criminal exploits of her ruthless husband, who was also her fourth cousin and the head of the Genovese crime family. Little was known about her until the release of Jessica Bendinger and Michael Seligman's 12-episode podcast Mob Queens in 2019.  Wild: The life of Anna Genovese (pictured in 1957)  is the subject of Lena Dunham's upcoming HBO...
Saturday Night Live's Season 47 premiere with first-time host Owen Wilson has been ranked as the lowest-rated episode in the show's nearly five decade run.  According to Nielsen, the episode is now the lowest-ranked episode among the show's key demographic - adults between 18-49. Wilson's episode also recorded the least amount of viewers for a season premiere the show has ever aired.  The Season 47 premiere scored a 0.92 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 4.9 million total viewers, meaning that just .92% of that group watched the show, according to Nielsen.  Nielsen ratings are determined using statistical sampling to determine what percentage of all households in that demographic watched the show.   Keegan-Michael Key’s episode, which aired on May 15, now holds the second spot for low-ratings with a 0.93 rating, meaning that just .93% of that group watched the show.  The record for the episode with the all-time fewest viewers is still held by Scarlett Johansson, but that was not a season premiere. Her episode, which aired on May 2, 2015, was watched by 4.7 million viewers.  Owen Wilson hosted...
Who are the best action stars working today? 17 Tips To Live Comfortably Off Just a Social Security Check We’re three weeks into the NFL season, and if you gambled on how many wins the league’s five heralded rookie quarterbacks would have at this point in the season, I sure hope you took the under. Right now, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields and Mac Jones have combined for one (1) win as starters — and only because Jones’ Patriots beat Wilson’s Jets in Week 2. Naturally, in the vast expanses of time that sports pundits must fill between 00:00 of the Monday night game and kickoff Thursday night, the panic and second-guessing are setting in. Are these guys all busts? Is drafting a quarterback overrated? Here’s the problem: in our win-now, zero-attention-span culture, we’ve completely given up on the concept of a quarterback needing to grow into the job. A couple quarterbacks have had success in their first year or two on the job, and bang, we expect every kid right out of college to be...
New York Giants show interest in former 1st round tackle bust, could target starting-level free agent guard Alexander Wilson September 28, 2021 Share on facebook Facebook Share on twitter Twitter Share on reddit Reddit The New York Giants are having serious trouble keeping their offensive linemen healthy, as starting left guard, Ben Bredeson, suffered a hand injury that could keep them out for multiple weeks, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN. With Nick Gates suffering a lower leg fracture which will keep them out the remainder of the season, losing Bredeson is just another knock to a unit that has struggled over the past few years. However, the team must move forward and find a replacement for the former fourth-round pick. Luckily for the Giants, one option has become available after agreeing to get vaccinated from COVID-19 and re-join the NFL. Former Los Angeles Chargers lineman Forrest Lamp has become available as a free agent, and the Giants should be heavily considering his services after spending the entire 2020 season as the starting...

New York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson wasn’t at the start of training camp. Offset language partially lets an NFL team off the hook for guaranteed money if a player is signed by a new team. The team that signed the original deal is only responsible for the difference in guaranteed money. From the sounds of it, Wilson doesn’t want offset language and the Jets do. Notably, Trevor Lawrence’s contract with the Jags didn’t feature it. Wilson and 49ers quarterback Trey Lance – the No. 2 and No. 3 picks, respectively – are the only two of the 259 draft selections who haven’t signed contracts. So, Mike White is expected to throw the first pass of training camp, which further exposed the Jets’ glaring need for an experienced backup quarterback regardless of when Wilson finalizes his deal and rides in to become the starter. White, a former fifth-round draft pick of the Cowboys in 2018, has not thrown a pass in an NFL regular-season game...

Everyone in the media and inside the Jets organization has been curious to see the No. 2 overall pick. Wilson has been impressive. That comes with the caveat – it’s only June and they are in shorts. He has had several highlight throws. Two stood out on Tuesday. He...

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Ali Mulhall and Yana Wilson are best friends from Henderson, Nevada. The teenage girls have a lot in common, namely that they’re better at golf than most people. And they’ve got trophies to prove it. They were two of the eight champions at the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National on Sunday, a day when 80 kids got to take six swings — two in each category — and finish on the same 18th green that will see a Masters champion crowned next weekend. Mulhall won the girls 14-15 age division, Wilson the 12-13 division. Wilson was midway through her competition when she pulled out a rangefinder and focused on the giant scoreboard that overlooks the 18th green at Augusta. She gasped when she saw that Mulhall had won. “I couldn’t let her win alone,” Wilson said. So, she nestled both her 15- and 30-foot putt opportunities close enough to finish off her second consecutive national finals victory. She also won at Augusta in 2019; last year’s competition was called off because of...

Yankees: MRI results on Justin Wilson’s left shoulder show some good news By: Andres Chavez March 24, 2021 ShareTweetFlipRedditThe New York Yankees received some good news on the injury front on Wednesday afternoon, after the results of Justin Wilson’s left shoulder MRI were made public by manager Aaron Boone. The southpaw had to be removed from an appearance against the Phillies on Monday because of left shoulder tightness. The MRI, which was taken Tuesday on Wilson’s left shoulder, showed “nothing actionable,” according to the Yankees’ skipper. Prior to being removed; Wilson, signed by the Yankees a few weeks ago to a one-year deal with options, had experienced a velocity decrease on his fastball and the rest of his arsenal, and couldn’t retire any of the four Phillies’ batter he faced that night. This development, however, means that there is no structural damage in the lefty’s shoulder, which is welcome news to a bullpen that has already lost Zack Britton for the first few weeks of the 2021 season. The Yankees’ plans...
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Less than 24 hours after Giants starter Johnny Cueto was removed with the bases loaded in consecutive innings, right-hander Kevin Gausman exited and reentered Wednesday’s game against the Rockies. New spring training rules designed to protect a pitcher’s arm and limit pitch counts led manager Gabe Kapler to pull Gausman after four of the first five Rockies batters reached base in the second inning. After Colorado first baseman Josh Fuentes singled into left field to bring home a run against the Giants starter, the Rockies added two more in the second against reliever Sam Wolff. The Giants sent Gausman back to the mound in the bottom of the third and unlike Cueto –who failed to retire any of the five Texas Rangers batters he faced after reentering Tuesday’s game– the righty kept the Rockies off the board. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rebel Wilson is going to the dogs. And it’s not the first time. The Australian actress comes from a family with a long history of handling and grooming dogs and will return to her roots as host of ABC’s “Pooch Perfect,” an eight-episode series featuring 10 dog groomers and their assistants competing in challenges. She said Thursday that her great-grandmother began a beagle club in Australia and that her mother judges dog shows internationally. As a child, Wilson traveled in her family’s yellow van to shows and sold grooming products despite being allergic to dogs. “My mom was devastated when I chose not to continue the family legacy,” Wilson said in a virtual call with the Television Critics Association. “When I told her I wasn’t going to continue in the family business and try to be an international movie star, she cried. I had to tell her in a public place so she wouldn’t do anything too crazy.” In the show, Lisa Vanderpump, dog groomer Jorge Bendersky and veterinarian Callie Harris will vote on creations...
NFL teams acted quickly at the first sign of discord between Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. According to NFL.com’s Mike Silver, one third of the league has called Seattle to gauge their interest in trading the superstar quarterback. “What’s realistic price if the Seahawks were to trade Russell Wilson? I think you start with something like three-first round draft picks. That’s kind of the message that other teams believe would be conveyed,” Silver said on Monday. Wilson went on a media tour earlier this month where he openly discussed his Seahawks future and frustration with the number of times he’s gotten hit behind the offensive line. “I’m not sure if I’m available or not,” Wilson told the “Dan Patrick Show.” “That’s a Seahawks question…. Yeah, I definitely believe they’ve gotten calls. Any time you’re a player that tries to produce every week and has done it consistently, I think people are gonna call for sure. I think that’s part of the process.” The Seahawks were reportedly annoyed by Wilson talking publicly like that, though early indications were they were unwilling to...

On a day the Seahawks punched the Jets in the mouth, it was only appropriate that Seattle put Geno Smith into the game to finish off the Jets. The ghost of Jets quarterbacks past got to play in part Sunday because the present quarterback Sam Darnold could not find the end zone and now Jets fans can only dream about the future quarterback. Trevor Lawrence can’t get here fast enough. The Jets gave everyone a reminder in Seattle why they are the worst team in the NFL and why they almost certainly will have the No. 1 pick in the draft and the opportunity to draft the Clemson star. The Jets made mistake after mistake and helped a Seahawks team that really did not need any help to a 40-3 victory at Lumen Field. The loss drops the Jets to 0-13, the worst record and longest losing streak in franchise history. They are the ninth team since the 1970 merger to start 0-13. Games against the Rams, Browns and Patriots are all that remains between them and Lawrence. If they...
