Isiah Thomas has resparked his long-standing beef with Michael Jordan in recent comments, blasting the way in which he was portrayed in Jordan's popular ESPN documentary, 'The Last Dance'. Thomas, 61, opened up on the way he felt after watching the production for the first time with Greek NBA rights holder Cosmote TV during the Abu Dhabi NBA games in early October, per EuroHoops.  'When I was watching ''The Last Dance,'' I'm sitting there, and I'm watching it with my family, and I'm thinking everything is good,' Thomas said. 'And then this guy comes on television, and he says that he hates me, and then he calls me an a**hole.'  'And then I proceed to watch a whole documentary about him being an a**hole. I'm like wait a minute, time out. Until I get a public apology, this beef is gonna go on for a long, long time, 'cause I'm from the west side of Chicago.'  Isiah Thomas (#11) went toe-to-toe with Michael Jordan (#23), in the late 80 and early 90s Isiah Thomas and Fabolous attend of 2022 NBA Abu...
Getty Cam Thomas #24 of the Brooklyn Nets speaks at the podium during a press conference at Brooklyn Nets Media Day The Brooklyn Nets are moving quickly forward to the start of the 2022-23 NBA season. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons seem to be returning with a renewed investment in the franchise and winning together. For the most part, the starting lineup is known and will consist of Durant, Irving, Simmons, Curry, Claxton, or O’Neale. They have a deeper rotation this year with the return of Joe Harris, the addition of Markieff Morris, and re-signing Patty Mills. Questions that remain are if the team has enough at the center position to compete in the east and if there will be roles for young players like Day’Ron Sharpe or Cam Thomas.  Cam Thomas impressed again in the Las Vegas Summer League and showcased his impressive scoring ability. We found out this summer that multiple teams have expressed interest in trading for the Nets’ young point guard, and this week, Nets head coach Steve Nash spoke to the...
Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, will sit for a deposition this week, Jan. 6 committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) announced Wednesday. An elite tight end is flying under the radar in fantasy football. In 2020, Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas scored the third-most fantasy points among tight ends in PPR leagues trailing only Travis Kelce and Darren Waller. Thomas was heavily involved in Washington’s offense, as he was third among all NFL tight ends in both targets (110) and receptions (72). Thomas had a strong start to the 2021 season, as he scored two touchdowns in his first three games. Through Week 3, he was seventh among tight ends in fantasy points. Unfortunately, he suffered a hamstring injury against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4. Thomas was activated later in Week 12, and he played for the Commanders against the Seattle Seahawks recording three receptions for 31 yards. During the next game, Thomas started to reestablish his rhythm with three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown, but Thomas ended up tearing his ACL. He was placed on the injured reserve, and he missed the remainder of the season.Fantasy Football: Logan Thomas is being undervaluedComing off an ACL injury, Thomas...
Scouted selects products independently. If you purchase something from our posts, we may earn a small commission. I am fairly cynical when it comes to products that claim to yield instant results—especially when the claims promise to mimic the look of in-office treatments including neuromodulators (i.e. Botox) and filler or straight-up plastic surgery. But after my skepticism lead me to actually try a handful of beauty products in this arena, like Murad's Targeted Wrinkle Corrector, I officially stand corrected—at least on the notion that such topical treatments simply don't exist at all. When I first discovered Peter Thomas Roth's Instant Firmx Temporary Face Tightener, my skeptical tendencies lead me to do some serious research to find out if it actually worked, and after reading several glowing reviews supported by seriously impressive before-and-after pictures, I knew I had to get my hands on the formula to give it a test run in time for my wedding (because, you know, pictures.) THOMAS TUCHEL will sensationally QUIT Chelsea after growing frustrated at this summer's transfer activity, according to Piers Morgan. The Blues are in a real period of transition after American Todd Boehly took over at the club in a £4.25billion deal, replacing Roman Abramovich after he was slapped with sanction over his ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin. 2Piers Morgan has tipped Thomas Tuchel to quit Chelsea this season over his transfer frustrationsCredit: Rex 2Chelsea will miss out on the top four, predicts Piers Morgan The West Londoners have already signed Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, but have missed out on a host of top targets, such as Raphinha and Jules Kounde, to Barcelona. And Piers is tipping rouble-deprived Chelsea to struggle in 2022-23 - and Tuchel to quit as a result. He told SunSport: "Thomas Tuchel will walk once Chelsea’s season hits the buffers around late February and his frustration explodes at not having Vladimir Putin’s pal Roman Abramovich to buy him out of trouble." From Bob Melvin’s winter departure to the flurry of trades in the spring, this A’s season was always meant to be a transactional, transitional and trying time. The growing pains were expected. Perhaps no player has personified the A’s process more than rookie Cristian Pache, the exciting center fielder who’s hitting struggles earned him a ticket to Triple-A Las Vegas two weeks ago. But because of what’s happened for Pache in Vegas means he won’t be staying in Vegas for too much longer. The 23-year-old is doing the sort of things the A’s envisioned when they acquired him from the Braves in the Matt Olson deal this spring – albeit at a minor league level. Coming into Wednesday night’s game, he’s hitting .364 with an OPS of 1.042 since being optioned to Vegas on June 30. Pache has a home run and seven RBIs in eight games. As small sample sizes go, it’s been an astounding one for Pache, who’s Triple-A batting line so far is at a superstar level — .364/.436/.606. His strikeout rate is 15% and his...
Furious Chicago residents are demanding action after a five-month-old baby became the latest homicide victim during a crime-filled weekend in the Windy City. The baby, Cecilia Thomas, was traveling in a car with her father when she was shot in the head in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood Friday night. Police say Thomas was killed after an unidentified woman who opened fire on the family's car in a drive-by shooting. The baby was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries. A 41-year-old man, traveling in a separate car, was also struck in the incident and suffered a gunshot wound to the eye. He was said to be in stable condition. The shooter fled the scene and police have no suspects in custody at this time. Community activist Ja'Mal Green, who is running for mayor, is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of Thomas' killer. Meanwhile, outraged residents are calling on lawmakers to take action after at least 20 people were shot in the crime-ridden city over the weekend.  CBS News named Chicago, which...

CNN contributor Carl Bernstein said Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, was involved in a conspiracy with former President Donald Trump and his attorney John Eastman to attempt a coup. Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Let’s just focus on the Ginni Thomas part of this. What do you think is going on there?” Bernstein said, “I think you have got the very tricky situation where the wife of a Supreme Court Justice is very obviously involved in some way in a conspiracy in which there really is a conspiracy to overturn, try to attempt a coup to overturn the election results. I think the committee feels they have to go very carefully when you have the wife of a Supreme Court Justice who may be involved. I mean, let’s look at what happened in Watergate where you have a unanimous decision of the Supreme Court to compel Richard Nixon to turn over his tapes.” He continued, “Now you have this whole question of Donald Trump trying to subvert the Constitution, prevent...

(CNN)For Justice Clarence Thomas, these are glory days.As Thomas settles into his fourth decade on the Supreme Court, his influence, even his control, is ascendant. Thomas began his career as a justice as a near outcast -- an ideological fringe figure and a scarred veteran of a brutal confirmation fight. Today, he is a revered figure in the conservative movement, and he is watching ideas he championed from the margins turn into the law of the land. With an unprecedented leak, Roberts appears suddenly ineffectualFor better or worse, Thomas has ignored his many detractors -- from those who believed Anita Hill in 1991, when she testified at his confirmation hearings that he had sexually harassed her, to those in 2022 who argued that Thomas should have recused himself in cases where his wife, Ginni Thomas, a right-wing political activist, had taken public stands. Instead, he just keeps winning. The leak in Politico of a draft majority opinion for the court that would overrule Roe v. Wade is a vindication of views that Thomas has pushed since he became a justice. The...

As I have written before, the U.S. Supreme Court is facing a crisis of legitimacy driven by a growing public perception that the court is a political institution dominated by conservative activists masquerading as impartial guardians of the Constitution. No single justice is more responsible for this crisis than Clarence Thomas. Scandal and controversy have plagued Thomas since he was credibly accused of sexual harassment by law professor Anita Hill during his 1991 Senate confirmation hearing. Since then, he has carved out a well-deserved reputation as the court’s most rightwing jurist. Thomas is also an ardent proponent of “originalism”—the legal philosophy that holds that the Constitution should be understood today as closely as possible to the way it was understood when it was written in the eighteenth century. In 1993, according to The New York Times, Thomas told two of his law clerks that he planned to serve on the court until 2034, and until then would continue to make the lives of liberals “miserable.” On January 19 of this year, Thomas attempted to make good on that pledge...
Mitch McConnell with Merrick Garland in view Mitch McConnell sat for an interview with Jonathan Swan from Axios, and while McConnell offered commentary on everything from the Republican candidates accused of violent conduct toward women (more on that below) and whether he would support Trump again if he were the 2024 nominee (he would), it was what he didn’t say that is the most troubling.  In short, McConnell refused to say whether Republicans would allow a vote on a potential Supreme Court nomination next year if Republicans regain control of the Senate. Jonathan Swan sounded incredulous at McConnell’s refusal to answer and rightly said it sounded as if McConnell was formulating a plan to obstruct a future nominee during a non-election year. By Zachary Cohen and Annie Grayer | CNN Jared Kushner, son-in-law and former senior adviser to then-President Donald Trump, is expected to appear this week before the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, insurrection, according to two sources familiar with the planning. Kushner is expected to appear voluntarily, and the meeting will likely be virtual, the source said. A committee spokesman declined to comment on Kusher’s expected appearance, which ABC News first reported. CNN reported last month that Trump’s daughter Ivanka, who is married to Kushner and also served as senior White House adviser, was in discussions with the House select committee to voluntarily appear for an interview, her spokesperson and two sources familiar with the probe confirmed to CNN at the time. The meeting comes at significant moment for the committee where its investigation is making progress on multiple fronts. Valieva may be one of the great talents of this, or any other generation, but she cannot escape the taint of the Russian regime. Kamila Valieva is able to continue at the Winter Olympics after the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled the Russian should not be provisionally banned for a failed drugs test That Bach has bent over backwards to return Russia to the Olympics, after all...
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A fight over a controversial water proposal has turned into a power struggle on the Douglas County Commission. A meeting Monday afternoon got so heated, a resident interrupted and told the three commissioners to “act like adults.” (credit: Douglas County) They couldn’t even agree on the purpose of the meeting. Chairwoman Laura Thomas accused Commissioners Abe Layden and George Teal of trying to oust her as chair. They accused her of lying, just before they voted to remove her as Chair for all meetings involving a high-stakes water proposal. It calls for pumping water from the San Luis Valley into Douglas County. Layden and Teal said Thomas couldn’t chair the meetings because she had taken a public position opposing the proposal. (credit: CBS) She countered that they had made Facebook ads for the group supporting it, “So for you to say you haven’t weighed in on this Abe when you were in those videos makes me wonder what’s going on here.” Teal interrupted Thomas and suggested she was jealous that she wasn’t in...
The father of a UPenn women’s swim team member says that the women on the team are discouraged, knowing they can never beat transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. “[Thomas] is most likely going to be representing you and I and all other Americans at the Olympics,” the father, who has medical training, told Fox News Digital. The man also said his daughter “doesn’t think it’s fair” for the school to allow Thomas to compete on the team as a woman, and he insisted that Thomas could bring “actual physical harm” to his daughter and other female competitors. Thomas, of course, has caused an avalanche of criticism this season after spending nearly three seasons competing as a male swimmer but “transitioning” to a woman ahead of the 2021/22 swim season. Since joining the UPenn swim team, Thomas has smashed several women’s swimming records. Former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner spoke out against Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, for competing against women. “I’ve said from the beginning, biological boys should not be playing in women’s sports,” Jenner said during an appearance on Fox News’ America Reports. “We need to protect women’s sports.” “First of all, I respect her decision to live her life authentically. 100 percent. But, that also comes with responsibility and some integrity. I don’t know why she’s doing this,” Jenner continued. “It’s not good for the trans community.” The 72-year-old Jenner transitioned in 2015, nearly four decades after she won a gold medal in the 1976 Olympics, competing in the men’s decathlon as Bruce Jenner. Thomas is currently in her first season competing against women, after three years as a male swimmer at UPenn. She last competed on UPenn men’s swimming team in 2019 as Will Thomas. “Her hands are bigger. She can swim faster. That’s a known,” Jenner argued. “All of this woke world that we’re living in right now is not working. I feel sorry for...
CHELSEA are ready to spurn PSG's Layvin Kurzawa despite Thomas Tuchel needing cover at left-back. The Blues have reportedly been offered France star Kurzawa after Ben Chilwell was ruled out for the season with knee ligament damage.  1Layvin Kurzawa is known to Thomas Tuchel from his spell in charge of PSG but the Chelsea boss is reportedly unwilling to sign the France starCredit: Getty But Goal claim Stamford Bridge chief Tuchel is unwilling to recruit the 29-year-old, at least not this month It's understood the Blues and PSG have discussed Kurzawa's availability. But with Tuchel keen to look elsewhere insead, a deal seems unlikely. Napoli have also been linked with former Monaco hero Kurzawa. And it appears Chelsea might target a loan replacement for Chilwell, rather than a permanent transfer. The England ace had returned to his best form after being omitted early in the season following his miserable Euro 2020. But the 25-year-old  was crocked against Juventus in November, although he is feeling 'positive' after successful surgery. Chelsea have already brought back wideman Kenedy from his loan spell at home country club Flamengo. Most read in...
THOMAS TUCHEL has refused to rule out the possibility of Ross Barkley securing a move away from Chelsea in the January transfer window. The 28-year-old midfielder has started just four games for the European champions so far this season - only one of which has come in the Premier League. 2Tuchel has hinted that Barkley could be set for a January moveCredit: Getty 2Barkley came off the bench midway through the second half against Chesterfield on SundayCredit: Getty As a result of his lack of game time, Barkley has been linked with a loan return to former side Everton this month. He signed a five-and-a-half year deal with Chelsea back in January 2018 - meaning he has 18 months left on his existing deal. He has featured just 98 times for the Blues over that period, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists. And Tuchel did not quash rumours of a departure ahead of their FA Cup clash with Chesterfield on Sunday. The Chelsea boss said: “We haven’t discussed it yet [a loan deal]. It depends what Ross wants and...
MIKEL ARTETA has confirmed that he wants to bring in a new midfielder to Arsenal this month. That has left Arsenal boss Arteta desperately short in the middle of the park. They travel to Nottingham Forest next on Sunday in the FA Cup Third Round. Speaking ahead of that trip earlier, Arteta remained tight-lipped on absences for the clash. But he did reveal that there are ‘issues’ his side are dealing with.  And then he confirmed that he is in talks with Emirates chiefs to try and bring in some reinforcements. ICON LOST Betty...
Here’s the latest installment of our Miami Dolphins Q&A, where South Florida Sun Sentinel writers David Furones and Omar Kelly answer questions from readers. Q: Is this the year Zach Thomas finally gets in the hall?!? — Luis Estrada on Twitter A: Could Dolphins great Zach Thomas’ third time (as a finalist) be the charm? Breaking things down, he could have a decent shot after a few years of giving way to either generational talents getting in on their first year on the ballot or other similarly deserving players who had to wait longer for their enshrinement. First, to recap the other modern-era finalists: DE Jared Allen, OT Willie Anderson, CB Ronde Barber, OT Tony Boselli, S LeRoy Butler, WR/KR/PR Devin Hester, WR Torry Holt, WR Andre Johnson, LB Sam Mills, DL Richard Seymour, OLB DeMarcus Ware, WR Reggie Wayne, LB Patrick Willis and DL Bryant Young. The selection committee may elect up to five modern-era players for the 2022 class. Each must receive a minimum positive vote of 80 percent for election. So, Thomas...
(CNN)Which film will win the Oscar for best picture? Will Republicans trounce Democrats in the midterm elections? And what country will take home the most gold medals at the Beijing Winter Olympics? As we begin the new year, CNN Opinion has once again asked a fearless group of contributors to make predictions about some of the biggest political, cultural and sports-related moments to come. Though many of the previous year's contributors successfully predicted key political and sporting outcomes, only two correctly guessed the winners of nearly all of the entertainment questions we posed -- Raul Reyes and Holly Thomas. From predicting "Nomadland" would win the Oscar for best picture to betting Taylor Swift's "Folklore" would win the Grammy for album of the year, Reyes and Thomas proved themselves the most formidable oracles of the year. This was particularly impressive given that movie theaters and music venues remained closed for much of 2020 -- and the opportunities to see films and listen to live music were limited. Will their success last into the new year? Reyes and Thomas largely diverged on their 2022...
A USA Swimming official has resigned over the organization’s continued support of transgender University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas, who has been smashing women’s swimming records this season. Thomas competed on the men’s team for the school for nearly three seasons before taking a year off to “transition” as a woman. This season, he joined the women’s team and has been smashing records, not by mere seconds. Big thanks to #liaThomas for saving women’s sports by showing just how preposterous it is for a strapping athletic young biological man to compete with biological women. Margin of victory, 40 seconds.#saveWomensSports pic.twitter.com/AFAZlH5QWt — End the Mandates (@weRessential) December 9, 2021 But swimming official Cynthia Millen has resigned from her 30-year career in the sport over the essential unfairness of Lia Thomas’ record-smashing season. Millen told the Washington Times that she could no longer honestly support a league that would allow Thomas to continue breaking records as a competitor in the women’s categories. “I can’t do this, I can’t support this,” Millen told the paper in an interview published on Thursday. Millen,...
During the video, the narrator quips that "the lefties have just gone a little too far with this one" while pointing out how fast Thomas swam in relation to the competition. He then painstakingly points out the numerous times that female swimmers make their turns and continue racing while Thomas rests having finished well ahead of them. "Thomas is a 6-foot 3-inch strapping young man coursing with testosterone and here he is in a girls swimsuit competing with the girls," the narrator says. Since the story started receiving national attention, at least two teammates of Thomas's have spoken out about the unfair situation. One anonymous teammate said last week that having Thomas on the team is something that "secretly everyone just knows it’s the wrong thing to do." “When the whole team is together, we have to be like, ‘Oh my gosh, go Lia, that’s great, you’re amazing.’ It’s very fake,” the team member told Outkick. Another teammate expressed that the entire team is "angry" over the situation. "They feel so discouraged because no matter how much work they...

Jessica Thomas worked at a restaurant last year. Now, the mother of three spends her workdays loading and unloading cargo ships that bring in electronics, apparel and consumer goods from around the world.  Like millions of Americans, Thomas found herself abruptly unemployed in 2020 after the restaurant she worked at struggled to reopen during the pandemic. Uncertain when her job would restart, the New Jersey resident found herself at home relying on unemployment benefits. Her husband Derrick, who works as a bartender, faced a similar dilemma. On the advice of her brother-in-law, Jessica applied for a job at the Port of Newark, N.J., home to the East Coast's busiest port. Check out this video to learn more about why Thomas made the switch and to see how the career change is going. Here are the top news stories you might not have heard about this week: Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas, indicted on federal corruption charges this week, announced Friday that he will not step down from his post on the Los Angeles City Council. Federal prosecutors claim he gave a $100,000 donation to the University of Southern California Dean of Social Work in exchange for his son Sebastian’s acceptance to the graduate school program. In this article AMZN TGT Stephen Chernin | Getty Images News | Getty ImagesSupply chain bottlenecks and rising prices aren't keeping consumers from buying. The latest retail sales numbers show U.S. consumers are spending at a much faster pace than expected, excluding autos, up over 15% in September. Back-to-school and back-to-work trends drove a higher level of transactions despite the headwinds of inventory shortages and inflation, but what about early holiday shopping? With widespread supply chain warnings, retailers including Amazon and Target started to offer holiday promotions even earlier than normal to get ahead of the lack of inventory and to ease consumer anxiety. That may yet lead to an accelerated timeline for holiday gift buying. NPD Group said in its annual holiday shopping outlook that 51% of respondents to a survey said they plan to start holiday shopping before Thanksgiving, but that is only up slightly from last year. The early shopping trend is not new in retail. Major retailers had Thanksgiving Day store openings as far back as 2014 and Amazon's Prime Day moved to October last...
