Taylor Swift fans are now suing Ticketmaster over the November 15 presale ticket debacle for her Eras Tour. A couple dozen fans of the superstar, 32, are reportedly suing the company for 'fraud, price fixing and antitrust violations' as well as 'intentional deception' as they claim the ticketing giant allowed scalpers to snap up tickets according to TMZ. The lawsuit claims that because the company is in control of the primary ticket sale market as well as the secondary market, they were 'eager to allow' scalpers into the presale event as they would get 'additional fees' for every resold ticket.  Lawsuit! Taylor Swift fans are now suing Ticketmaster over the November 15 presale ticket debacle for her Eras Tour; Swift pictured Sep 2022 The fans participating in the lawsuit added that even if Ticketmaster didn't intentionally create an environment that was scalper and bot friendly, they were still not properly prepared for the number of potential fans that would attempt to get tickets. Adams tweeted: 'There's NOTHING I hate more than rats. by Scott McClallen   Nineteen vape detectors, $550,000 in equity coaching, motion sensors, and metal detectors are some items deleted from Michigan schools’ initial COVID spending plans. The Center Square discovered the removed spending by filing more than 100 records requests to school districts statewide in an attempt to learn how schools plan to spend more than $6 billion in recovery pandemic funds. Kevin Walters, supervisor of Grants Coordination and School Support for the Michigan Department of Education, said that the state worked with school districts to ensure allowable spending. “If an item is blatantly unallowable, we will note that, and they will remove it from the budget completely and replace it with an item that is allowable,” Walters said in a phone interview. MDE can also ask follow-up questions about items. The 2021 applications were “how schools intended to spend funds after meaningful consultation with their local community,” Walters said. “That does not mean that those items are approved.” “Even when some local communities say this is important, it still has to meet the letter of the law to be...
A Croatian newspaper has hit back at Canada manager John Herdman by putting a photoshopped image of him naked on their front cover – days after he boldly claimed his side will 'F' Croatia up when they next meet. In retaliation to his remarks, Croatia daily tabloid newspaper 24 Sata (24 Hours) ran the fullpage photo of a naked Herdman with Maple Leaf-shaped Canadian flags over his mouth and manhood, along with the headline that translated to: 'You have the mouth, but do you have the balls as well?' The war of words started in the moments after Canada lost their first World Cup match in 36 years, outplaying Belgium for much of a 1-0 defeat, which saw an emotional Herdman revealed in a on-field interview what he had just told his players during a post-match huddle. 'I told them they belong here. And we're going to go and eff Croatia,' the coach said with a smile, using a single letter to avoid a televised profanity. 'That's as simple as it gets.' His words reverberated all the way to Zagreb with Sunday's game now...
A Washington Post journalist called out the White House for misleading reporters about who was allowed to cover the wedding of President Joe Biden's granddaughter. Ashley Parker said the White House's characterization about who in the press would be granted access to the White House wedding of Naomi Biden was akin to lies she heard the Trump administration tell during her coverage.  Parker, a political correspondent for the Washington Post, said lies from Trump were 'shameless,' while those from Biden were 'too cute by half.'  She and other reporters complained they were told by White House press secretary Karine Jeanne-Pierre that the wedding would be a closed, private affair, only to see Vogue publish a story of exclusive photos of the wedding party. As the journalists' ire rained down across Twitter, it was revealed that Vogue photographers did not attend the actual wedding, but instead staged a photo shoot days beforehand. Parker doubled down on her complaints, saying that the wedding flub was far from the Biden administration's only lie, and said they had lied about attendees at presidential meetings, and...

The two wives of a dead 'serial killer,' who has been accused by his daughter of murdering up to to 70 women, killed themselves, police reports said.  Donald Dean Studey, who died in 2013, has been accused of killing between 50 and 70 people on his Iowa property.  Many have speculated that Studey's two late wives were also murdered by the alleged killer, but police reports say otherwise.   Both of Studey wives killed themselves, police said. One reportedly died by strangulation and the other shot herself.  The revelation comes after Studey's name has been brought up in the news after his daughter Lucy said she knew 'where the bodies were buried.'  Lucy claimed her father forced her and her siblings to dump bodies of women he killed into a 100-foot well on their Green Hollow Road farmland decades ago.  However, her older sister Susan rejected the accusations and said their father was strict, but certainly not a killer.  'My father was not the man she makes him out to be,' Susan Studey told Newsweek. Police are investigating allegations that a farmer in Iowa murdered up to 70 women – after his daughter told authorities ‘I know where the bodies are buried’. Lucy Studey claims that her father Donald Dean Studey was a serial killer who forced her and her siblings to transport bodies of women he killed into a 100ft well. She told authorities that she was forced to use a wheelbarrow in the warmer months and a toboggan in winter to move the corpses across the farmland in Thurman, Iowa. His five children did their father's bidding when he told them to 'go to the hills' because they were terrified they 'wouldn't come back' according to his daughter.  Fremont County Sheriff’s office confirmed that cadaver dogs alerted to at least four spots on the property, with the last getting multiple 'hits'.   Studey, who died in March 2013 aged 75,  is accused of killing anywhere between 50 to 70 women and at least two men - one in his 40s and one in his 20s. Investigators believe his daughters claims, which would make Studey one...

(CNN)Black NFL head coaches regularly perform about as well as White NFL head coaches yet face significant hurdles to getting and keeping their jobs, according to a Washington Post analysis published Wednesday.Titled "How the NFL Blocks Black Coaches," the in-depth story examines the short history of Black NFL coaches, dating to when Art Shell was hired by the Los Angeles Raiders in 1989 as the first Black head coach in modern history. Since then, there have been 191 people hired as head coaches, yet just 24 have been Black -- a "glaring shortcoming" for a league in which a majority of the players are Black, the Post notes. This season, there are three Black head coaches: Todd Bowles of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lovie Smith of the Houston Texans and Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers. That is the same number of Black head coaches as in 2003, when the NFL -- facing pressure for its lack of representation -- introduced a new policy known as the "Rooney Rule" requiring teams to interview at least one candidate of color for head...

Lowering your sleep age by reducing the amount of disruptions, improving quality of rest and getting an adequate amount each night can help ward of diseases like Parkinson's and extend a person's life by reducing their 'sleep age', a new study finds. A joint research team from Stanford University, in California, and the Danish Center for Sleep Medicine in Rigshospitalet, Denmark, found a clear correlation between the estimated sleep age of a person and their life-span. They used polysomnography tests (PSGs), which gauge multiple biometrics to determine sleep-quality and diagnose potential sleep issues in people, to find a person's sleep age. Elderly people generally suffer more disturbances, and a decrease in quality of sleep can be an early sign that a person will develop a cognitive impairment like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's or dementia in the future. A clear correlation between poor sleep and an increased all-cause mortality rate was found. A ten year change is sleep age can extend or reduce a person's life by around 8.7 years, even. Experts believe that a person can help limit sleep disturbances each night, and as a...

Police have pictured the two individuals they believe shot Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson - in an attack that saw the rookie standout hit multiple times in DC but somehow survive. The incident, which cops contend was an armed robbery gone wrong, transpired just before 5:30 pm on of H Street, Northeast, and left the 23-year-old with bullet wounds in both his hip and leg.  In the chaos that then ensued, the suspects who carried out the seemingly premeditated strike fled the scene emptyhanded - but were captured by a nearby surveillance camera, along with photos of the car they were last seen in. Late Monday night, cops shared the images of the hooded marauders - two tall Black males who police believe are juveniles. The suspects, police said, had 'shoulder length dreads, medium complexion,' and shirts 'with yellow smiley faces on it.' The grainy surveillance photos showed one of the supposed juveniles in a red jacket and the other in black, as well as a photo of the blue sedan cops say the pair fled in. Cops released the images asking for...

The University of Alabama's sorority recruitment process has become a viral sensation over the past two years as hopeful 'sisters' flooded social media with videos documenting their rush experiences as part of the #BamaRush trend.  But while many of the clips posted have focused on the glitz and glamour of the elite Greek life chapters, the trend has also now laid bare a very gritty reality behind the perfectly-edited videos that sparked the viral sensation.  Former members of the college's popular sororities are now coming forward to detail the dark experiences that they faced on the other side of #BamaRush, claiming that they were met with sky-high fees and fines, were subjected to bullying from their 'sisters', and routinely witnessed discriminatory recruitment practices being put in place.  The acrimonious outpouring began when a student from competing college - Ole Miss - took to TikTok to ask University of Alabama students who had chosen to walk away from Greek life to reveal their reasons.   #BamaRush has taken over social media, but this year's season prompted many ex members to reveal...

Two sisters whose decomposing bodies were found in a south-western Sydney apartment come from a well-connected Saudi Arabian family, sources say. Asra Abdullah Alsehli, 24, and Amaal Abdullah Alsehli, 23, were found dead in their first-floor unit in Canterbury on June 7.  Their remains lay in separate bedrooms for a month before they were discovered by authorities who were trying to evict them for failing to pay rent. The case has been shrouded in mystery from the beginning - police conducted three welfare checks on the sisters before they died, there were no signs of forced entry at the unit, no clear sings of injury, and the cause of death remains undetermined. The revelation the dead women are the daughters of a 'well-connected' family in the Saudi Kingdom has further added to the intrigue. The Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Sydney has offered its condolences to the family, which policy say are helping them with their investigation.   The Coroner has not released their bodies back to their family - although it is understood they could be buried in Sydney. AMC An attorney in California is in hot water after he responded by using a euphemism for a very naughty word after losing a motion during a civil proceeding. Above the Law flagged the row on Tuesday. On June 30 in San Diego County Superior Court, Judge Eddie Kind granted a defendant’s motion, which apparently irked plaintiff’s counsel Timothy Scott to the point where he said the following: … I hope this doesn’t sound unctuous, but just to end the weekend on a good note, I want to thank the court staff. I want to say to have a good weekend to Mr. DeMaria. I want to say have a good weekend to Ms. Frerich. And I want to say have a good weekend to both MTS counsel. I’ll See you next Tuesday. See you next Tuesday. The judge responded, “How kind.” Clearly, the judge was unaware that “See you next Tuesday” is often used as a way of calling someone a “cunt” without actually using the word. A member of the defense team shared this information with Kind, after...
