Donald Trump fumed on Monday about FBI agents going through his teenage son Barron's 'living quarters' during their search for classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. In a pair of Labor Day posts on his app Truth Social, the former president unleashed against the bureau for its 'raid' on his Florida mansion and called for feds to bust into President Joe Biden's home. Trump also claimed 'high crimes and treason' were found on a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden, which has re-entered the news cycle in recent days after it was revealed the FBI's warning about 2020 election misinformation led to Facebook censoring stories about it on its platform at the time.  'So they riffled(sp) through the living quarters of my 16 year old son, Barron, and the loved and respected former First Lady of the United States, Melania,' Trump wrote on Monday morning. 'But, despite proven high crimes and treason, and just plain common theft, all pointed out in the Laptop from Hell (and elsewhere), they never Raided or Broke Into the house of Hunter Biden or, perhaps even more importantly, the...
A man has been arrested after being found with his father’s decapitated head in one hand and the knife that was presumably used to remove it in the other, police near the Lyon suburb of Saint-Priest say. The horrific incident happened began when police found the father’s body in a parking lot over the weekend. Locals had reported witnessing a heated debate among the family members and the son chasing his father around with a large knife. Witnesses say the assailant yelled “Allah Akbar,” or God is Great, which has been traditionally linked to terrorist attacks, but have determined that the incident was a family feud, according to ActuLyon news site. Police then followed a trail of blood to where the son, 25, was standing with undeniable evidence. Police say they struggled with the son to detain him. The weekend attack was carried out by a local Moroccan man known to police for petty crimes and drugs charges. “I am terribly shocked by this abominable intra-family drama that took place in our city. What society do we live...
A Maryland man who went by "Poo" has been convicted of killing a mother and her young son to silence them for drug-related crimes, authorities say. Andre Ricardo Briscoe's conviction came Wednesday, June 8 in the killings of Jennifer Jeffrey and her 7-year-old son on May 26, 2015, the US Justice Department said. “There is a little boy who should be a teenager right now, but who instead was murdered at only seven years old because he witnessed the murder of his mother. That kind of callous disregard for their lives is reprehensible,” said ATF Baltimore Special Agent in Charge Toni M. Crosby. From March to October 2015, Briscoe conspired with others to distribute heroin. On May 25, 2015, Briscoe traveled to the home of his girlfriend Kiara Haynes, 36, to plan the robbery of Jeffrey. Haynes contacted an incarcerated relative on a recorded line to arrange to borrow a gun in exchange for "like 30 grams" of heroin that would be collected in the robbery of Jeffrey. Briscoe and Haynes then met with the relative's brother to retrieve the gun....

(CBS4) – A woman who lives in the Virginia Village area of southeast Denver is struggling after she became the victim of a car crime for a third time. In the first crime, someone broke a window on her vehicle. After that, someone stole her pickup truck’s catalytic converter while it was parked outside her apartment. A year later, someone stole the truck from the same place it had been parked when the converter was stolen. That truck, which was taken on Friday, was very special to her. (credit: CBS) “They took my son’s truck (and) my memories of my son,” May Rose told CBS4. “It’s just an old truck, but it’s mine, that he gave to me.” Rose had her stolen catalytic converter replaced last year for a steep price. “It was a couple thousand dollars for me,” she said. Now she’s just hoping her old truck turns up. (credit: CBS) Data from the City of Denver shows that auto theft in the Virginia Village neighborhood increased by 64% from 2019 to 2020, and Rose says it has been...
SERIAL killers became scarily common between 1970 and the early 00s, in what's known as the golden age of serial murder. In fact the concept of a serial killer was not coined until 1974, when FBI special agent Robert Ressler used the term "serial homicide" to describe the epidemic sweeping the USA. The majority of serial killers during this time came from America, although Britain has some high profile cases too. Many American serial killers gained infamy for their prolific crimes, here are the most notorious and prolific of the lot. The White House declined to speculate on whether there had been internal conversations about President Joe Biden pardoning his son Hunter or brother James should their foreign business dealings land them in legal hot water. "That's not a hypothetical I'm going to entertain. I don't have anything to add," White House communications director Kate Bedingfield said Thursday. BIDEN BILLIONAIRE TAX FACES OBSTACLES IN CONGRESS AHEAD OF MIDTERM ELECTIONS Bedingfield recycled iterations of the response to a slew of questions, including about Biden's knowledge regarding his son's and brother's complicated international financial interests. She had earlier stood by the president's insistence during the campaign that his son's investments were not unethical given his father's public office. "Neither Hunter Biden nor James Biden committed any crimes or did anything that was unlawful. So, I don't have anything further to add from this podium," she said. Hunter Biden has been under federal investigation since 2018 to see whether he or his associates broke tax, money laundering, and foreign lobbying laws in countries such as China and Russia. The younger Biden, who denies...

Brevard has a long rap sheet including armed robbery, assault with a firearm, destruction of property and theft. Ahmaud Arbery was murdered by three white racists because of the color of his skin, and would be alive today if he wasn't black, a federal hate crimes trial heard Monday.    'At the end of the day, the evidence will prove that if Ahmaud Arbery had been white, he would have gone for a jog, checked out a cool house and made it home for supper,' Bobbi Bernstein, deputy chief of the civil rights division of the Department of Justice, said in front of 12 jurors in opening statements of the awaited federal hate crimes trial of Arbery's killers Gregory McMichael, 66, his son Travis, 36, and their friend William 'Roddie' Bryan Jr, 52. The trio were previously convicted of Arbery's February 2020 murder at a Georgia country court, with federal jurors tasked with deciding whether they also violated their victim's civil rights by targeting him because of his skin color.   'They made assumptions about Ahmaud because of the color of his skin, and it would not have happened [if] he was white,' she added. To further emphasize her point,...
Prosecutors have asked a judge to put a stop to 'inappropriate' and 'disrespectful' displays of affection in the courtroom between James and Jennifer Crumbley, the parents of accused Michigan high school shooter Ethan Crumbley.  James, 45, and Jennifer Crumbley, 43, have been blowing kisses and mouthing 'I love you' to each other during hearings - and the prosecution in the case and the families of the school shooting victims, have had enough, according to a court filing obtained by the Detroit Free Press.   'These communications ... not only disparage the integrity of the judicial proceedings as a serious distraction, but are also traumatic for the families of the deceased victims,' Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor Markeisha Washington wrote in the filing. 'Their communication is far more distracting and offensive than a cell phone going off, which the court would not condone.'  The Crumbleys are charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly allowing their son access to the gun police said was used in the November shooting at Oxford High School.    Ethan Crumbley, 15, is facing terrorism and murder charges for his alleged role in the...

Alex Murdaugh has been dismissed as a 'talentless' lawyer who only made a successful career because of his family's generations-old legal connections.    'Alex inherited the last name and the red hair, and very little of the talent,' Hampton Country Guardian editor Michael DeWitt told CBS on Saturday Hampton County Guardian editor Michael J. DeWitt Jr. pulled no punches when discussing the legal abilities of his local area's most infamous resident. The local journalist, who has extensive knowledge of the disgraced family, told CBS's 48 Hours: 'The Murdaughs built an empire of sorts here in the Lowcountry. 'It began over a century ago when the family established a law firm. Three generations of Murdaugh men also held the public office of solicitor, the chief prosecutor. There are a thousand ways to think about Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas and the crimes he’s accused of, but the one I keep coming back to is the saddest: He was trying to help his child. I don’t want to sound like I’m making apologies or understating the gravity of the allegations. Bribery is bribery. Ridley-Thomas pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges that he steered millions of dollars in public contracts to USC in return for a full-ride scholarship and a paid professorship for his son. If he really did that, it’s every bit as illegal and immoral as if he’d put money in his own pocket. But I can’t help it, there’s something that tugs at me anyway. I had a similar reaction when I first read about the 2019 college admissions scandal (also centered at USC). On the one hand it was corruption, plain and simple — parents paying off officials and telling lies about their kids to subvert the admissions process. But a piece of me felt a lurch of pity for those privileged, entitled parents who deluded...
BRIAN LAUNDRIE’S parents are likely going to be “invested in believing” their son even if he’s found guilty of the “worst of crimes”, according a forensic psychiatrist theorizes. A doctor weighed on the loyalty that Christopher Laundrie, 62, and mother Roberta Laundrie, 55, would have for their son after scrutiny has mounted since their 23-year-old son vanished on September 13 and what they may know about Gabby Petito’s homicide.  4Brian Laundrie's parents are likely going to be “invested in believing” their son even if he’s found guilty of the “worst of crimes” according a forensic psychiatrist theorizesCredit: Splash 4On Thursday, Brian Laundrie's father, Christopher, was asked to join the search for his sonCredit: Splash BELIEVE HIM, EVEN IF GUILTY The parents had initially told authorities that they last saw Brian on September 14.  “He may be guilty of the worst of crimes or the most depraved of crimes committed on Gabby, but at the same time, if he’s been in touch with his family, and he’s communicated to them an account, they’re going to be invested in believing him,” Dr. Michael...

Kai Bickle's world came tumbling down one night in May 2019, when he attended a dinner party at a lavishly decorated mansion overlooking the golden sands of Venice Beach in Los Angeles. The host was his father, Peter Nygard, a Canadian fashion tycoon famed for the hedonistic lifestyle he pursued at a global portfolio of high-end properties, including vast residences in Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal, as well as New York, Hong Kong and, most notoriously, a Mayan-themed 'private luxury resort' in the Bahamas. Modelling himself on Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, the flamboyant Nygard, now 79, kept a revolving harem of girlfriends. Those caught up (often completely unwittingly) in this web had included actresses Susan Anton and Jennifer O'Neill, stripper-turned-reality star Anna Nicole Smith, and a former Wheel Of Fortune card turner by the name of Vanna White. His Caribbean parties, meanwhile, tended to attract a better class of A-lister. Past visitors to the island property had ranged from Jane Seymour and Bo Derek to Robert De Niro, Sean Connery, Michael Jackson and Joan Collins, not to mention Prince Andrew and...
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a string of crimes that were committed by what seems to be a bold crook. They say that man stole a car from a driveway in the Canyon Parke subdivision, then used that stolen vehicle to drive around and break into other vehicles. The crime spree happened in the middle of the busy morning rush Thursday, as Heather Guckian was preparing to go to leave for work shortly before 7 a.m. “My son came home from the gym and when he walked inside, he thought that my other son was in the car,” she said. “(He) said that he had seen someone in our car.”The burglar left all of Heather Guckian's property scattered on her driveway. RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Prosecutors in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro state have charged a son of President Jair Bolsonaro with commanding a criminal organization and laundering money when he was a state lawmaker between 2007 and 2018. The charges were leveled against Sen. Flávio Bolsonaro and 16 others on Oct. 19, according to a statement the public prosecutors’ office posted to its website on Wednesday. Prosecutors allege the senator had people on his government-funded payroll who weren’t required to work and who had to return part of their salaries to him. The senator denied having committed any crime and said he was confident that courts wouldn’t accept the charge, according to a message he posted to his verified Instagram account. The accusation is “inviable because it is devoid of any hint of proof. It’s nothing more than a macabre and badly engineered tale,” one of his four lawyers, Rodrigo Roca, said in a statement. Jair Bolsonaro was elected in 2018 on a wave of anti-corruption sentiment and with promises to root out crime. His crimefighting bona fides have faced...

A Jane Doe who authorities believe was murdered in 1981 by serial killer Samuel Little, now has a name: Patricia Parker. Little may have killed more victims than any serial killer in history. He was also noted for his ability to remember so many details about his victims, in murders that spanned decades and the majority of the continent. Authorities from multiple agencies worked together to compile an FBI database linked Little’s crimes together. He maintained his innocence until 2018, when he began confessing to Texas Ranger James Holland and others. At that time, Little confessed to killing 93 women from California to Florida between 1970 and 2005. Some women who survived their encounters testified at his trial in California they barely survived, according to an appeal filed in the case. By Sangmi Cha SEOUL (Reuters) - A South Korean vigilante website that published personal details of people it accused of sex crimes suddenly went dark this week after a public backlash sparked by the death of one of its targets, as police hunt for its operators. Calls have grown for tougher punishment for those guilty of sex crimes after a South Korean man convicted of running one of the world's largest online child pornography operations was released this year from 18 months in jail. The "Digital Prison" website had listed, among others, 170 people it accused of roles in a network that blackmailed at least 74 women and underage girls into what authorities called “virtual enslavement” by sending them increasingly degrading and violent sexual imagery of themselves. "Digital Prison is explicitly an illegal website," said Son Jae-woo, chief of a cyber investigation team of police seeking to track down its operators. The website put up personal details of those it said were criminals, ranging from photographs, names and ages to telephone numbers and employment data, Son told Reuters. Regulator the...
Pro-life activist Abby Johnson, who is scheduled to speak Tuesday at the Republican National Convention, said in a now-deleted June video that police would be "smart" to racially profile her son because of his brown skin, according to Vice News. Johnson posted the video in June, not long after the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in late May kicked off a series of nationwide race riots. What did she say?Johnson said she would be fine with police officers treating her minority son differently than her white sons because of crime and prison statistics."Statistically, I look at our prison population and I see that there is a disproportionately high number of African-American males in our prison population for crimes, particularly for violent crimes," Johnson said. "So statistically, when a police officer sees a brown man like Jude walking down the road—as opposed to my white nerdy kids, my white nerdy men walking down the road—because of the statistics he knows in his head, that these police officers know in their head, they're going to know that statistically my brown...
William Roddie Bryan says he feels "unsafe" after video he recorded of the death of Ahmaud Arbery was leaked. The man who filmed the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery and was later charged with murder in his death is now the subject of a state investigation on unrelated sex crimes, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The Camden County Sheriff’s Office asked the state bureau to investigate “based on allegations made against William ‘Roddie’ Bryan, Jr.,” the GBI tweeted Friday. “The investigation is active and ongoing.”  Ben Crump, an attorney representing Arbery’s family, said in a tweet Friday that Bryan, who also faces a charge of criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment in Arbery’s case, was denied bail. “We must keep the pressure ON and get #JusticeforAhmaud,” Crump said. The video Bryan captured shows the moments leading up to Arbery's death on Feb. 23 in the Satilla Shores neighborhood, which is in South Georgia. Arbery was allegedly jogging when former cop and prosecutor’s investigator Gregory McMichael and his son Travis McMichael hunted him down, accused him of trespassing onto the site of a home under construction, and...
