The political leader of the Brothers Of Italy, Giorgia Meloni.Marco Cantile | Lightrocket | Getty Images Italians are on course to elect the country's first female prime minister and the first government led by the far-right since the end of World War II. Giorgia Meloni's Fratelli d'Italia (Brothers of Italy) party are set to gain 22.5% to 26.5% of the vote, according to an exit poll late Sunday night. The party is in a broad right-wing coalition with Lega, under Matteo Salvini, Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia and a more minor coalition partner, Noi Moderati. The alliance is set to win 41% to 45% of the vote, according to exit polls, enough to gain a parliamentary majority, with the center-left bloc on 22.5% to 26.5%. Early projections from the actual results are due Monday morning. Reaching political consensus and cementing a coalition could take weeks and a new government may only come to power in October. Meloni's Brothers of Italy party was created in 2012, but has its roots in Italy's 20th century neo-fascist movement that emerged after the death...
Rome (CNN)When Giorgia Meloni first burst onto the political scene in 2006 as the youngest ever vice-president of the National Alliance party, she sealed her fate as a far-right politician. The National Alliance, formerly the Italian Social Movement, was unapologetically neo-fascist, formed by supporters of Benito Mussolini. Meloni herself openly admired the dictator as a youth, but later distanced herself from his brand of fascism -- despite keeping the tricolor flame symbolizing the eternal fire on his tomb in the logo for the Brothers of Italy, the party she went on to co-found in 2012. Now, the 45-year-old ultra-conservative unmarried mother looks likely to become Italy's first female prime minister. Her far-right Brothers of Italy party, which is polling ahead of the pack leading up to the September 25 general election, got just 4.5 percent of the vote in the last elections in 2018.Her popularity has skyrocketed since then, in no small part because she has kept herself in the limelight with an active social media presence, and kept her party on message, never wavering from a conservative agenda that...
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was confronted on Wednesday by far-right Twitter troll Alex Stein, who called her a “big booty Latina” who “wants to kill babies.” She tweeted about the encounter with Stein, who approached her on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame. It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad. — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 14, 2022 In another tweet, she shared video taken by Stein. The Democrat from New York complained about a lack of protection for lawmakers. “Here is a video he posted of the incident” she wrote. “I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today.” Here is a video he posted of the incident. I was actually walking over to deck him...
This is the hilarious moment far-right Oath Keepers attorney green-screened her into the Queer Eye kitchen for her January 6 testimony. Kellye SoRelle popped herself into the gorgeous black and brass kitchen famously displayed in the third season of Netflix's liberal show Queer Eye, which follows five gurus making over southerners. The quip was first discovered by Erin Ryan, the host of the Hysteria podcast, who posted the side-by-side images on Twitter. 'I've got questions,' she wrote. She, along with so many others, it seems, as Twitter lit up with the gaffe, including Fab Five member Bobby Berk. Berk wrote on Twitter: 'Maybe this is her way of asking for our help?! Blink three times, girl, if you want to save you from yourself.' The attorney and acting president of the Oath Keepers went before the January 6 Committee this week to testify that former President Donald Trump allies - Roger Stone, Alex Jones, and Ali Alexander - reportedly were the leaders of the Steal the Steal plan, according to the Independent. SoRelle has also been working as a legal...
Fox News’ Outnumbered panel omitted Rep. Mayra Flores’ (R-TX) support for QAnon as it lamented an alleged double standard in New York Times coverage of her versus progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The Times profiled Flores, who won a special election last month and flipped a Democratic district, in a piece headlined “The Rise of the Far-Right Latina.” When Ocasio-Cortez won a surprise election in 2018 defeating a powerful incumbent, the New York Times ran an article headlined “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Emerges as a Political Star.” It’s subtle but let me know if you can spot the difference in tone here from NYT pic.twitter.com/62ehvgNGFl — Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) July 6, 2022 “How do they know that Mayra Flores is far right? She doesn’t have a voting record. She won yesterday and she ran on a platform of saying she’s a daughter of an immigrant,” said Outnumbered co-host Carley Shimkus. “She was born in Mexico, she’s the first Mexican-born congresswoman, she broke a glass ceiling, which usually the media loves spirit but for her it’s a very different story,” Shimkus concluded. Fox News...
Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) slammed the New York Times after an article from the publication labeled her and fellow Texas Republican Congressional candidates Monica De La Cruz and Cassy Garcia “far right” Latinas. Flores won the special election in the 34th Congressional District on June 14, flipping the Democrat seat in the densely Hispanic district by running on a platform of core conservative values, indicating a turning tide among Hispanic voters away from the Democrat party. The victory made her “the first Republican to represent the Rio Grande Valley in roughly 150 years,” Breitbart News previously reported. In a Wednesday article titled “The Rise of the Far-Right Latina” New York Times politics reporter Jennifer Medina wrote of Flores in addition to De La Cruz and Garcia, who are nominees in the 15th and the 28th Congressional Districts, respectively. The subheading in the piece states that “Flores is one of three Republican Latinas vying to transform South Texas politics by shunning moderates and often embracing the extreme.” “But what is most striking is that Ms. Flores won by shunning moderates, embracing the...
MISSOULA, Montana—A remote stretch in the northwest part of this state may seem an unlikely spot for a pro-choice rally on Independence Day weekend. The small town of Eureka, population roughly 1,400, is home to over a dozen churches, voted 73 percent for Donald Trump in 2020, and hosted a trucker protest of hundreds earlier this year at the Canadian border crossing 10 miles away. Perhaps more unlikely is who’s organizing the rally: Sequoia Rhodes Adams, the 19-year-old daughter of Oath Keepers militia founder Stewart Rhodes. The family patriarch is currently jailed awaiting trial after pleading not guilty to charges of seditious conspiracy related to what federal prosecutors say was his far-right group’s plot to storm the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. “I was extremely anti-feminist growing up,” Sequoia told The Daily Beast, describing her political transformation into a pro-choice activist after the family fled what they have previously described as Rhodes’ violently abusive Montana home in 2018. “He couldn’t even talk about abortion or he would freak out,” she said of her father. Sequoia and her adult siblings recently...
Sports commentator Michele Tafoya says she felt ambushed during her recent appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show. Tafoya discussed the encounter during an appearance on the Fox News show, Gutfeld! “I was invited onto a podcast recently and I was invited with this ‘We wanna talk about your great career and your new podcast … Is it okay if we talk to you for about 30 or 40 minutes?'” Tafoya told host Greg Gutfeld. “It was someone I knew from my past,” she revealed. “So I said, okay. Yeah, the second I got on, BAM, was ambushed with ‘You’re anti-CRT, You’re a racist. You cannot read the Florida law without it being a homopho — I mean, I was absolutely ambushed!” “And just when I was thinking that all these signs from Netflix and CNN, things were turning in that direction that you alluded to, boy, did I get a wake up call?” she concluded. Tafoya was referencing Netflix, Disney, and Spotify who have recently pledged to address their inner corporate culture and censorship. The podcast appearance Tafoya alluded...
Child protection officials are being urged to investigate GOP Rep Lauren Boebert for reckless abuse of a child after she failed to report an ATV wreck in which her sister-in-law was seriously injured, and her son was a passenger. DailyMail.com reported the May 2020 wreck which took place when Boebert was off-roading with her then sister-in-law, Tori Hooper, 28, in Utah. Boebert's son and dog were in the back of the Jeep when she lost control and 'bailed' from the driver's seat letter leaving Hooper to struggle to right the vehicle which plunged into a ravine and struck a wall of rock. Now, American Muckrakers PAC, the same organization that released a slew of damaging information that sunk another far right Republican, North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn, has called on Colorado's Office of Children, Youth and Family to investigate. Cawthorn lost his bid for his party's nomination last month. DailyMail.com reported that Republican Rep Lauren Boebert, 35, was involved in an accident on Mother's Day 2020 while off-roading with family in Moab, Utah. Now, American Muckrakers PAC has called on the...

CNN's Erin Burnett is weighing in on the far-right downward spiral of Fox News' Maria Bartiromo. On Thursday, March 16, Burnett appeared on The Axe Files where she discussed her former co-worker with host David Axelrod. While Burnett did commend Bartiromo for her professional strength she admitted she believes she's "lost her way." “I always thought her greatest strength was that she was a hard worker and I feel that she lost her way. Clearly, she’s lost her way,” she said. “I’m obviously not personally close to her, but I think it’s sad what has happened to be honest because she was a very hard worker.” At another point during the interview, Axelrod asked Burnett about the presumed "rivalry" between the two anchors asking, "Did you feel as if you guys were competing, pitted in any way?” To that question, Burnett replied, “We definitely were, and I don’t know, maybe as life goes on I’ll get more perspective on it, I think there is a desire out there for there to be a women versus women thing. I hope...
Although former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was among the many candidates in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary and served as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, she has been quick to echo MAGA talking points during the Biden era — and she will be among the speakers at the 2022 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Journalist Molly Sprayregen takes a look at the former Hawaii congresswoman’s willingness to pander to the far right in an article published by LGBTQ Nation on February 22, explaining, “While Gabbard did represent Hawaii as a Democrat and also ran for president as one, she has increasingly moved to the right. Lately, she’s been touting deeply Republican rhetoric, blasting Biden for playing ‘identity politics’ in his commitment to nominate a Black woman to the Supreme Court and calling critics of anti-LGBTQ conservative podcaster Joe Rogan ‘zealots of wokeism.’” Biden chose Harris as his VP because of the color of her skin and sex—not qualification. She's been a disaster. Now he promises to choose Supreme Court nominee on the same criteria. Identity politics is destroying our country....
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has revealed her 'brutal, violent' hurt after her own niece suggested she would back rival candidate Eric Zemmour in the presidential elections this year. Marion Maréchal, who is more than 20 years the junior of the National Front leader and who was once tipped as her successor, has given strong indications she will support Eric Zemmour. Relations within the Le Pen clan, which has dominated far-right politics in France for five decades, are notoriously stormy, with Marine clashing repeatedly with her father Jean-Marie after taking over his National Front party in 2011. Marine Le Pen (right) has revealed her 'brutal, violent' hurt after the comments by her niece Marion Maréchal (left) who was once considered a likely successor Relations within the Le Pen clan, which has dominated far-right politics in France for five decades, are notoriously stormy Marion said Zemmour (pictured) had adopted a better election strategy, even though he is currently fourth in the polls Marion told the Parisien newspaper that she was still thinking about who she would support in this April's...
The cute little girl with a pudding bowl haircut sitting on her mother’s knee is Brigitte Trogneux. Her family are renowned chocolatiers and confectioners in the Amiens region of northern France where the upmarket Trogneux brand is as well-known as, say, Thorntons is in Britain. But the family — or rather the youngster in the photograph — has another, much greater claim, to fame today. She grew up to be Brigitte Macron, France’s first lady, wife of President Emmanuel Macron. Trogneux is her maiden name. The black-and-white Trogneux family portrait, featuring her parents and siblings, was taken back in the 1950s. The claim initially went unnoticed when the small monthly publication went to press with the results of its so-called ‘three-year investigation’ into Mrs Macron in September Could anyone, least of all Brigitte herself, have imagined that more than half-a-century on it would be used in a smear campaign to destroy her by the far-Right? Even by their poisonous standards the latest conspiracy theory aimed at undermining Mrs Macron in the run-up to the French presidential election in April, when her...
With COVID-19’s Omicron variant spreading rapidly, Pennsylvania health officials and Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf have been urging residents of the Keystone State to get vaccinated if they haven’t done so already — and booster shots for COVID-19 vaccines are widely available. But Rep. Leslie Rossi, a far-right MAGA Republican who serves in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, is pandering to anti-vaxxers by offering “vaccination exemption assistance” in her district. Rossi, who represents an area of Western Pennsylvania where hospitals area being overwhelmed by COVID-19 infections, offered her “assistance” in a newsletter. Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporter Deb Erdley explains, “State Rep. Leslie Rossi, R-Unity, said she offered help to those seeking vaccination exemptions in response to growing inquiries from fearful constituents in her district, which includes portions of eastern Westmoreland and western Somerset Counties. Her newsletter landed in local mailboxes as Westmoreland County emergency management officials warned of a ‘desperate’ situation in local hospitals, where COVID-19 infections have surged among unvaccinated residents, sparking overcrowding in emergency rooms and a scarcity of beds in inpatient and intensive care units.” Dr. Carol Fox, who...
Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, a far-right MAGA Republican and conspiracy theorist with pro-QAnon views, hasn’t been shy about promoting Islamophobia — especially when it comes to progressive Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. And Omar is calling her out, slamming Boebert as both a “bigot” and a “buffoon.” Boebert has been describing Omar, who is a Muslim and a native of Somalia, as a member of Congress’ “Jihad Squad.” And during a speech in Colorado on Thanksgiving, the QAnon ally told a crowd of supporters that when she recently shared an elevator with Omar inside the U.S. Capitol Building, she told a staffer, ‘Well, she doesn’t have a backpack; we should be fine.’” Over the Thanksgiving break, Lauren Boebert said she was recently in a Capitol elevator with Ilhan Omar when a fretful Capitol police officer ran up.

Lauren Boebert said: “Well, she doesn’t have a backpack. When Democratic presidents are in office, some Republicans will go to ridiculous extremes to blame them for anything that goes wrong. The late radio host Rush Limbaugh, for example, blamed then-President Barack Obama for Michael Jackson's death in 2009 — and similarly, Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina is blaming President Joe Biden for an increase in domestic violence in her state. And ironically, the far-right Republican did it while bragging about her vote against a bill designed to combat domestic violence. Foxx, LGBTQ Nation reports, made the anti-Biden comments while voicing her opposition to the Family Violence Prevention and Services Improvement Act of 2021, which would amend federal domestic violence laws. The 78-year-old congresswoman said, "COVID-19 and President Biden's failed economic policies have dealt our nation…. government-mandated restrictions and economic challenges. It appears those negative outcomes have snowballed to exacerbate an even worse fallout…. Evidence suggests that in this pandemic environment, stress due to work, school, substance abuse, and financial struggles have added to more violence in the home. Recent statistics show that domestic violence-related homicides have increased...
The Queen has been dragged into a blazing row about a possible future French President pointing a gun at journalists and telling them to ‘Back off!’. Eric Zemmour, 63, was widely criticised for the stunt at a Paris arms show, and has deepened the controversy by tweeting a picture of the Queen looking down the barrel of a gun. The image – which Mr Zemmour posted with a love heart – shows Her Majesty at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley, Surrey, 28 years ago. But, unlike the far-Right French TV pundit, the Queen was not pointing the gun at anybody, and she was following all other safety procedures. MailOnline has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment. The image – which Mr Zemmour posted with a love heart – shows Her Majesty at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley, Surrey, 28 years ago In scenes posted on social media, Mr Zemmour could be seen brandishing a sniper rifle in the direction of journalists at a Paris gun fair, without making any safety checks whatsoever. After the abrupt departure of an anti-mask, ex-UFC fighter city council member, Huntington Beach, California, is careening toward a wild special election highlighted by a candidate who filmed herself at a protest with men who would later go on to storm the U.S. Capitol and drink goat blood in a pagan ritual. From late December until June 1, Tito Ortiz served as a Huntington Beach city councilor and “mayor pro tem.” The months-long term was unusually headline-worthy even for Ortiz, a former UFC champion. Before quitting last month, he claimed the Jan. 6 Capitol attack was a “false flag,” called for a boycott of a burger restaurant that asked him to wear a face mask, and got barred from a library (also over a masking dispute). With Ortiz out, Huntington Beach’s city council has been tasked with picking his replacement or else sending the race to a special election. The chaotic process has the city flirting with its furthest-right representative yet. In a rowdy July 19 meeting, the council narrowed their choices down to three candidates, from a pool...
Ivory Hecker said during a live broadcast that she would be sending recordings about what goes on behind-the-scenes at Fox News to far-right group Project Veritas. Screengrab/Fox News Hecker said on live TV that she is going to Project Veritas with behind-the-scenes recordings. The group is known for its early attempts to discredit Planned Parenthood in a sting operation. Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. Fox News journalist Ivory Hecker said during a live broadcast on Monday that the network was muzzling her — and announced that she would be going to far-right group Project Veritas with behind-the-scenes recordings. "I want to let you the viewers know that Fox Corp has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you," said Hecker, who is a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor with Fox affiliate Fox 26 Houston. "From what I am gathering, I am not the only reporter being subjected to this. I am going to be releasing some recordings about what...
BLACK Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors is stepping down from the organization, effective Friday. Cullors' resignation comes after what she called a smear campaign from a far-right group, though she insists her stepping down was planned before the pricey property scandal broke earlier this year. 1BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors is stepping down "I've created the infrastructure and the support, and the necessary bones and foundation, so that I can leave," Cullors told The Associated Press. "It feels like the time is right." Cullors will now focus on other projects, including the upcoming release of her second book and a new TV development deal with Warner Bros. A MOTHER has revealed how she was forced to hand her own son in to the police after he joined a Nazi group. Katherine’s son slept with a swastika next to his bed after being groomed online by a group of far-right terrorists. 2Katherine's boy joined far-right neo-Nazi terrorist organisation National Action at the age of 16Credit: West Midlands Police Now she is speaking out about how her son changed from an “ordinary lad” to a convicted far-right terrorist, as she warns other parents that her “ordeal could happen to anyone.” Katherine says her son was a normal boy until at age 15 he was robbed at knifepoint in 2015 and became obsessed with “patriotism and immigration”. Katherine told The Mirror: “He couldn’t understand why the robber wasn’t arrested and began looking at websites talking about patriotism and immigration. “He was listening to Nigel Farage but said UKIP weren’t achieving anything through official channels. “I’ve always been left-leaning in my politics and I tried to discourage him.” HOLOCAUST DENIER But by May 2016 her son revealed to his mother he...
French far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen looked bewildered during a debate this week as she was accused by a Macron ally of being 'too soft' on Islam. Interior minister Gérald Darmanin said her efforts to rebrand the National Rally party had led to a watering down of her hardline position that would 'disappoint' her base. Le Pen responded by defending the rights of Muslims to practice and confirmed she 'does not intend to attack Islam, which is a religion like any other'. That the far-right candidate was facing accusations of being too liberal left even Le Pen visibly stunned. French far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen looked bewildered during a debate this week as she was accused by a Macron ally of being 'too soft' on Islam The debate broadcast on French TV saw the opening salvos fired in a hotly contested election to be fought next year. Le Pen and incumbent President Macron are expected to face off in the final round of voting and have been trading the lead in polls, which put them miles ahead of their...
The national attention garnered by Lauren Boebert over her run in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District reached a new peak last night, October 15. That's when an ABC News report divulged that her former campaign manager, Sherronna Bishop, had praised the far-right, neo-fascist group the Proud Boys in a Facebook video last year, and showcased a quote from Boebert during a May appearance on what's described as a "QAnon-friendly podcast." At the time, Boebert said this: "Everything that I've heard of Q, I hope that this is real. Because it only means that America is getting stronger and better, and people are returning to conservative values." While the revelations may strike those who live outside Boebert's district, which encompasses communities such as Grand Junction and Pueblo, as a devastating blow, the political leanings of residents and the specifics of Boebert's appeal raise doubts regarding whether they'll have a sizable impact on the contest between Boebert and Democratic rival Diane Mitsch Bush.Related Stories Lauren Boebert on America's Most Unusual Race for Congress Lauren Boebert on Helping Trump Fight Maniacs, "Fake" Dem Attacks COVID-19:...
ROME—Hundreds of white and metal crosses bearing the names of women who terminated their pregnancies in Roman hospitals are lined up in rows in a grassy section of the capital city’s Flaminio Cemetery. The area, dubbed “garden of angels” has existed since the 1990s when the ultra-conservative Catholic group Difendere la Vita con Maria or Defend Life with Mary, somehow gained access to medical refuse from which they fish out fetuses to bury. Some graves have faded teddy bears and pinwheels attached to the crosses. Others have notes and photos of the Virgin Mary. None of them are tended by the actual women whose fetuses are buried there, and now the burial practice is the target of a class action lawsuit by nearly 100 women who say they never gave permission for their fetuses to be buried. The moribund story came to light last week when a woman known as F.T. gave a shocking interview to La Repubblica newspaper. In it, she explained that she terminated her pregnancy due to grave health concerns for both her and her unborn baby‘s...
Fitness model Hope Beel dropped jaws with her most recent Instagram post on Saturday evening. The voluptuous brunette struck a provocative pose wearing a bikini that covered only the most necessary bits, thrilling her 1.5 million followers. Hope faced the camera on her left, with her nearly naked backside angled toward the lens. She threw her head back and closed her eyes, lips seductively parted. Her long, mahogany tresses glimmered in the sunshine and cascaded down her back in loose curls, nearly grazing the top of her derriere. Diffused light perfectly illuminated her stunning physique. It poured over her body, casting a golden glow that was in high contrast with the bright, sunny beach scene in the background. Hope credited Mexico-based photographer Victor Ozuna for the photographic concept and geotagged her location in Tulum, Mexico. Hope’s bathing suit featured small pieces of rust-colored fabric attached to the thinnest of spaghetti straps, which appeared to be made of unfinished black leather. Only a glimpse of the top was visible stretched across the front of her voluptuous right breast, leaving plenty of...
President Trump praised far-right congressional candidate Laura Loomer after her victory in a Florida GOP primary race. “Great going Laura,” he said late Tuesday in addition to retweeting a few posts about her win. "You have a great chance against a Pelosi puppet.” Great going Laura. You have a great chance against a Pelosi puppet! https://t.co/pKZp35dUYr— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 19, 2020 Loomer won the Republican primary for Florida’s 21st District, where Trump is registered to vote. The president did vote in Tuesday’s primary, but it is not known for whom. Loomer is unlikely to become the district’s congresswoman, however, as it is generally thought to be a safely blue district. The candidate has a history of making controversial remarks. In 2017, Uber and Lyft permanently banned her from their services after she went on an anti-Muslim tirade. “Someone needs to create a non Islamic form of Uber or Lyft because I never want to support another Islamic Immigrant driver,” she said. Loomer has also been banned from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. In 2018, she put...
