A video has emerged showing the moment elite Dutch cyclist Mathieu van der Poel loses control and lashes out at two young sisters over a 'knock and run' prank at a Sydney hotel. The footage, taken by a 12-year-old girl, shows her 14-year-old sister in the corridor of the Novotel Brighton Le Sands at 10.40pm last Saturday. Moment's later she is seen running screaming and terrified into her hotel room with an angry van der Poel in pursuit after being pushed over the edge by the repetitive knocking on his hotel room door. The footage shows the teen cowering with her hands over her face before the athlete corners her and pulls her by the arms until she falls and grazes her elbow. Van der Poel, 27, then leaves the girl bleeding on the ground to chase another girl, aged 13, who he pushed against a hotel wall.  The girl's father, Emad, exclusively showed the video to Daily Mail Australia and supplied a photo of his daughter's injury showing layers of skin rubbed off in a nasty carpet burn.  A 14-year-old girl...

By the time HBO was airing the second season of Game of Thrones in 2012, it had become enough of a phenomenon to warrant a Saturday Night Live parody. In the sketch, Andy Samberg plays Adam Friedberg, the show's "creative consultant," a 13-year-old boy who tells the producers that there should be more boobs in every scene. The joke? Game of Thrones could have very well been written by tweens for all the random naked ladies it contained. But times changed, and by the time Thrones wrapped up in 2019, sex had taken a backseat to Whitewalkers and dragons and questionable plotting. So it was easy to assume that the prequel series House of the Dragon, which debuts Aug. 21, would maybe forgo the errant nudity and random brothel scenes for something a little more buttoned-up. But when I watched, I found Matt Smith giving a speech while a couple paused their doggy-style coitous to listen to him. Sex—the silly kind—is back in the Thrones universe, and, honestly, I’m grateful. House of the Dragon launches Thrones fans about two centuries...

The service – which sometimes shows up as a response to direct questions asked of the search engine – has previously fallen foul of spreading false information. Former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton chided an interviewer when asked Wednesday if she would be supporting President Joe Biden in 2024. 'Look, I would endorse our sitting president - yes of course,' Clinton told NBC's Yamiche Alcindor. 'This is a silly question.'  Clinton said she believed Biden is the 'person most likely to win.'  'Joe Biden beat - in a huge landslide victory in the popular vote - Donald Trump,' the former secretary of state and first lady said. Hillary Clinton scoffed when NBC News Washington correspondent Yamiche Alcindor asked whether she would endorse President Joe Biden if he chooses to run for re-election in 2024, calling it a “silly question” and pointing out how Biden had defeated former President Donald Trump in 2020 in a “huge landslide victory.” Alcindor interviewed Clinton at the Aspen Ideas Festival, talking to the former secretary of state after she delivered an address on a variety of topics, including the recent Supreme Court case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade. “If he decides to run, he’s a sitting president,” Clinton told Alcindor about Biden. “Would you endorse him?” Alcindor asked. “Look, I would endorse our sitting president — yes, of course,” Clinton replied. “This is a silly question. So, let’s go with the person most likely to win. Joe Biden beat — in a huge landslide victory in the popular vote — Donald Trump. I think that says a lot.” This was a “really interesting and fraught time” for Biden, Alcindor remarked, with growing concerns among Democrats about their...

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Donald Trump was 'detached from reality' and that his claims of voter fraud in the aftermath of the 2020 election were 'bulls***', in testimony shown Monday by the House committee investigating the January 6 violence. Trump's former top legal officer described how he repeatedly told the president his allegations were false. And at one point he laughed as he described how Trump supporters had tried to build a case of fraud.   'I was somewhat demoralised because I thought boy, if he really believes this stuff, he has, you know, lost contact with with these become detached from reality,' Barr told the committee in his videotaped testimony.' When Barr pushed back, he said, he was met with little interest  'My opinion then and my opinion now is that the election was not stolen by fraud. 'And I haven't seen anything since the election that changes my mind on that, including the "2000 Mules" movie,' he said before laughing at the film made by conservative activist Dinesh D'Souza, which claims that drop boxes were abused bu...

During Wednesday’s episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith very clearly took issue with MLB owners for their role in the MLB lockout. Chris “Mad Dog” Russo is receiving plenty of criticism for taking the remarkably unpopular stance of backing MLB owners in the MLB lockout during his recent appearance on ESPN’s First Take. Stephen A. Smith greeted his guest, a longtime prominent radio host, by making it clear why supporting MLB owners isn’t exactly a phenomenal idea. But despite praising Marcelo Bielsa's attacking side, Keane also took a cheeky dig at the fans who claim Leeds are a bigger club than United. Keane said on Sky Sports: "Leeds would certainly be up there with the rivalries, like Liverpool and Arsenal. "Obviously Man City weren't so strong when I was playing but Leeds was up there. (CNN)The title might be the funniest thing about "The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window," which is sort of the verbal equivalent of that "Spaceballs" visual gag where the spaceship just won't end. Beyond that, this Netflix series provides a fun showcase for Kristen Bell but only a marginal reason to spend eight episodes gazing at the TV.Other than making headline writers absolutely bonkers, the title is obviously intended to evoke thoughts of the rightfully derided movie "The Woman in the Window" (itself a "Rear Window" homage), and any number of other similar thrillers, a la "The Girl on the Train." The basic conceit is that Bell's Anna, still dealing with the tragic loss of her child and demise of her marriage, finds consolation gulping down wine and staring out her suburban window, until the arrival of an attractive neighbor ("Da VInci's Demons" star Tom Riley) with a young daughter begins to shake her out of her stupor.Anna's clumsy flirtation with the guy becomes even more awkward when she catches sight of his...
(CNN)The opening credits for "Peacemaker" feature John Cena and the rest of the cast in a choreographed dance number that is joyously goofy, setting the tone for what's to come. If only this HBO Max series spun out of "The Suicide Squad" was consistently as good, despite (and partly because of) the freedom afforded writer-director James Gunn to utterly cut loose. In what feels like a very Marvel-ous maneuver, Gunn planted the seeds for the show in the "Squad" movie released in August, moving Cena's weapons-expert assassin from an ensemble to center stage, surrounded by new characters and bizarre sci-fi-style threat to humanity, albeit at a very slow-moving pace.Cena's bulky physique belies just how comfortable he is playing the clown, and "Peacemaker" allows both him and Gunn an opportunity to indulge that in the most R-rated manner possible with precious little adult supervision.Having as much fun as they appear to be is, alas, another matter. Even for comic-book geeks, the crush of winking jokes and coy references to more respectable quadrants of the DC universe begin to feel overdone, narrowing the...

Does your heart bleed for Sarah, Duchess of York? If not, perhaps it should — at least according to the lady herself. In an interview with a French magazine, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife has described herself as ‘the most persecuted woman in the history of the Royal Family’, citing the disobliging commentary during her toe-sucking heyday in the early 1990s. So is she right? Was she really more persecuted than Anne Boleyn, Mary Tudor or Caroline of Brunswick, to name just three claimants to the same unwanted title? You probably can guess my answer. Britain’s history is littered with queens and princesses who were abominably treated by their parents, spouses, subjects and even their children. ‘Divorced, beheaded, died’ doesn’t begin to cover it. Greta Thunberg said she 'appears angry but is silly really' ahead of a protest through London today as she lobbied against the use of fossil fuels. The teenage activist hit the streets of the Capital before she is expected to catch a train to Glasgow to join striking binmen on a march through Glasgow during Cop26. The 18-year-old, who left Stockholm on Wednesday and arrived in London by train on Thursday, joined a Youth Strike to Defund Climate Chaos (YSDCC) protest against the funding of fossil fuels outside the Standard Chartered Bank in London.  Earlier this week Ms Thunberg described herself as 'silly', adding that people 'would not recognise her' in private. She told the BBC: 'I'm not very serious in private. I appear very angry in the media but I'm not, I'm too silly. I'm too much maybe. I don't see myself as a kind of celebrity, I see myself as an activist.  'I don't think my own life, my own future is that interesting'.  In recent weeks the eco-warrior has been filmed dancing on stage and feeding a mystery man...
Billionaire Jeff Bezos boasted over Amazon's global success despite being branded as 'silly' in a 1999 magazine article on Twitter - only for Elon Musk to reply with a No.2 medal after surpassing him as the world's richest man.   Bezos shared a tweet which included the front page of the Barron's magazine from 1999 which described his new business paradigm as 'silly' and described the billionaire as 'just a middle man'.  He tweeted: 'Listen and be open, but don't let anybody tell you who you are. This was just one of the many stories telling us all the ways we were going to fail.   'Today, Amazon is one of the world's most successful companies and has revolutionized two entirely different industries.' USING the same password for multiple sites leaves you much more vulnerable to hackers. This one silly mistake could cost you a lot but there's multiple services that can help you create stronger passwords. 1You should use a different password for every account you haveCredit: Getty According to a recent survey by PCMag, 70% of adult respondents in the US admitted using the same password for several accounts. Although it can be annoying to try and think up a new password for every account you have, it can stop a hacker accessing all your accounts. If you use the same password repeatedly, a cyber-criminal only needs to steal your login details for one account before they can access all of them. This could mean if your login details on a shopping site or social media are stolen then a hacker could end up on your Gmail in seconds. As most online sites let you use your email address as a username, passwords can be the final piece of the puzzle for a hacker. Most read in Phones & GadgetsSTAY ALERT...

A man known for his work as “Silly the Clown” in southeast Wisconsin has been charged with the murder of his newborn daughter 30 years ago. Ronald Schroeder, 52, was taken into custody this week and charged with first-degree reckless homicide and two counts of physical abuse of a child for the death of baby Catherine Schroeder in August 1991. The infant, not yet two months old at that time, was rushed to a hospital with what doctors determined to be shaken baby syndrome. According to local media reports, she suffered fractured ribs, contusions to her brain and enough force to cause detached retinas, resulting in “blood behind the eyes.” Just hours before doctors documented all of these injuries and pronounced the baby girl dead, Schroeder had taken the stage at a local restaurant and performed as “Silly the Clown” for a room full of elementary school children, according to a profile by Milwaukee magazine. He was said to have been adored by audiences for his balloon sculptures and high-pitched clown voice, and was even praised by the then-director of...

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell chalked up Monday’s rare Senate Rules Committee field hearing in Georgia on voting rights to a “silly stunt” and a “partisan circus” by Democrats. "Democrats’ fake outrage may have driven jobs and opportunities out of the state of Georgia, but I’m sure Georgians will appreciate that Democrats are bringing their own partisan circus to town instead,” McConnell said in a statement on Monday. “This silly stunt is based on the same lie as all the Democrats’ phony hysteria from Georgia to Texas to Washington D.C. and beyond,” McConnell said. 'I hope on this day, Phelifia's family may find closure in knowing the Parkers have been apprehended and will finally answer for their crimes against a beloved North Carolinian.' (CNN)Having caused a sensation with steamy and explicit sex on "Bridgerton," Netflix dips into that genre again — minus the costumes — in "Sex/Life." Sarah Shahi stars as a wife and mother in the throes of a not-quite-midlife crisis, pining for all the wild sex she used to have. Alas, thanks to the overwrought Harlequin Romance trappings, there's a lot more guilt here than pleasure.Inspired by the book "44 Chapters About 4 Men" by BB Easton, the eight-episode series features Shahi (last seen on "Person of Interest") as Billie Connelly, seemingly living a life of suburban bliss with her two young children and Adonis-like husband, Cooper (Mike Vogel), a budding Master of the Universe (in author Tom Wolfe's literary coinage) whose career has taken precedence over her own.Appearances aside, Cooper has become a person of little interest (a mini-Cooper, if you will) in their marital bed, prompting Billie to begin reminiscing and fantasizing about her carefree, club-hopping youth as a single gal in Manhattan with friend Sasha (Margaret Odette), who's still living that life while reminding Billie how good she...
Never jump to burying the Boston Celtics, especially when it comes to the winningest player in league history, 11-time NBA Champion Bill Russell. Marc J. Spears, ESPN’s senior NBA writer for The Undefeated was on The Jump Thursday afternoon, and made the epic blunder, accidentally stating “Bill Russell is rolling in his grave right now.” The gaffe was quickly pointed out by ESPN host Rachel Nichols, who appeared shocked and horrified by Spears’ statement. “Why would you say that about our very present and alive Bill Russell?” Nichols promptly asked with laughter to break the awkward moment. “I’m being silly,” Spears answered while sitting between Nichols and basketball Insider Ramona Shelburne. “Bill Russell is alive and well,” Spears added. But it sounded more like a mistake than a silly, appearing as though Spears believed the 87-years-young Russell was already relegated to a grave. “My Lord,” Nichols said. “I’m looking at you, thinking oh, my God. I had a little heart palpitation there.” The mistake came during a conversation about league awards, after a host of players...
Dascha Polanco and Daphne Rubin-Vega hadn’t seen each other in more than a year — after spending months at the hip filming “In the Heights,” the movie adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical, now in theaters. So, they were a bit giddy when they reunited last week to pose for photos at the East Village salon Treehouse Social Club. “I gave her a lot of piggyback rides,” Polanco told The Post of their time shooting on location in Manhattan two years ago. (The movie was supposed to come out last summer, but was delayed a year due to the pandemic.) The petite Rubin-Vega confirmed their antics. “There was a lot of silly fabulosity on set,” she added with a laugh. “In the Heights” centers around a tight-knit Latino community in Washington Heights, and Polanco and Rubin-Vega — along with “Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s” Stephanie Beatriz — play its scene-stealing salon ladies. These fabulously turned-out women, in their skin-tight pants and knotted turbans and gloriously long nails, know everything about everyone on their block and have opinions about them all, too....

He continued to say that Markle is "much revered by the young and the stupid who believe that her brand of simpering victimhood will one day bring down the monarchy, but it won't,"...

Loading the player... We’ve seen it before. The shy, doe-eyed teenage boy that is awkwardly pulled into a whole host of hijinks as he secretly pines for the girl who barely even know he exists. Think Michael Cera in Superbad or, well, many of his other movies. Or the young boys on Freak and Geeks. It’s an age-old shtick that Hollywood has long adored. And now, writers-directors Manuel Crosby and Darren Knapp are cashing in on it with their film, First Date. Trouble is, they strike out.  It happens almost immediately in the film. Premiering at Sundance this year, First Date subverts the typical white male protagonist with their star Tyson Brown as Mike, a terribly shy adolescent living in suburbia who, at the encouragement of his polar opposite friend, Brett (Josh Fesler), asks out his crush, Kelsey (Shelby Duclos). Surprisingly, because the two characters—as well as the actors—have very little chemistry even over the phone, she says yes. But just when Mike begins to count his lucky stars, Brett brings him right back down to earth: he has...

Alexina Graham brought some “silly fun” to her Instagram page on Sunday, January 24. The Victoria’s Secret Angel danced away the Sunday Scaries in a new video while showing some skin in a skimpy bikini. The 30-year-old stood in front of a large, open window in the short clip that was set to the tune “Venus” by Bananarama. She spread her legs apart and swayed her hips from side to side while swinging her arms around her body. Her fiery red locks spilled messily around her face as she performed the dance move known as the “Floss,” which was made popular by the video game Fortnite. She appeared to lose her balance at the end of the reel, falling back toward the glass while letting out a smile chuckle. Alexina may not have exactly nailed the move, however, she certainly seemed to impress her followers with her look for the performance. She rocked nothing more than a neon pink bikini as she attempted the iconic dance that did nothing but favors for her killer curves. The British beauty stunned in...

In the last minute of the game, Nacho hung a ball into the area that Unai Nuñez cleared with his right shoulder. Immediately afterwards, Marco Asensio asked for a penalty in a play that the VAR began to review when the ball went out the end line. However, the realization was his: offered viewers another set of the game, one of Sergio Ramos a few seconds after the action of Unai Nuñez. Finally, the VOR room told the referee that there was nothing, while the television continued broadcasting another play. Speaking to Deportes Cuatro, Luis Rubiales acknowledged the error of the meeting: «It was not seen and it was an error that it was not seen, it should have been seen...
