Getty Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Although Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones is in the midst of a Defensive Player of the Year campaign, the defending AFC West Champions could use a little more help when defending the run. Through two weeks of the regular season, the Chiefs defense ranks 16th in the NFL in run defense, per PFF. Jones is the only interior defender for Kansas City that has an overall grade above a 70 in run defense (83.9). Because of this, it doesn’t hurt to toy with the idea of the Chiefs adding another defensive tackle to bolster their run defense unit. That’s why one NFL insider named the Chiefs as a potential landing spot for a veteran defensive tackle with a Hall of Fame resume.Lombardo Links Chiefs to Ndamukong SuhHeavy Sports’ Matt Lombardo recently named four teams that could be a “perfect” fit for the services of veteran free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, one of which was the Chiefs. Last season, Suh played in all 17 regular season games for...

Getty Former Broncos OT Bobby Massie blocking against the Kansas City Chiefs. With teams in need of offensive tackle help, one former Denver Bronco has been connected and could be a possible fit for the New York Jets. According to our good friend Matt Lombardo, the Jets are still actively looking for another veteran tackle despite signing Duane Brown back in August. Since the Jets signed Brown to a two-year deal worth $22 million, Lombardo says, “Don’t expect the Jets to be in the market for the players at the top of the tackle market.” Lombardo named former Broncos offensive tackle Bobby Massie as a name to keep an eye on. “Massie has drawn interest from multiple teams, according to a league source familiar with the veteran’s situation. Massie is another lineman garnering significant interest.” Last season, Massie was given a 70 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. On 796 snaps for Denver, Massie was penalized just once, but gave up five sacks. “The Jets may need to strike quickly for the 33-year-old,” says Lombardo. Denver Has Had...
Getty Ex-Bills OL Daryl Williams is still a free agent. Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles has avoided splash signings since getting hired by the team in January. Instead, Poles has gone after middle-of-the-road players like wide receiver Byron Pringle and linebacker Matt Adams, inking them to shorter, cheaper prove-it deals. Considering Chicago’s needs coupled with Poles’ philosophy thus far, it might behoove the Bears to take a long look at one remaining free agent in particular: former Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Daryl Williams. In fact, Heavy’s NFL insider Matt Lombardo thinks the Bears are the “best fit” for the veteran O-Lineman. Williams is durable — he hasn’t missed a game since the 2018 season — and he has experience playing both guard and tackle, so he would be an ideal plug-and-play guy for a Bears team that’s one injury away from catastrophe where the O-Line is concerned.Lombardo: Williams May Be Most Versatile Free Agent Lineman Available“There might not be a more versatile offensive lineman remaining on the open market than Daryl Williams,” Lombardo wrote...
Getty LaMarcus Aldridge of the Brooklyn Nets reacts during the first half against the Charlotte Hornets. The New York Knicks find themselves heading into the 2022-23 campaign with no clear-cut star player within their arsenal and two roster slots that still need to be filled before their October 19 tip-off against the Memphis Grizzlies. And while the odds of them acquiring a top-billed talent within the next several weeks are slim, the front office filling in their vacant bench spots at some point this season is a rather realistic scenario, and there are many options for the ball club to choose from. In a September 14 article penned by Marc Berman of the New York Post, several players were mentioned as being possible candidates for the Knicks to consider signing off of the free agent market before the start of training camp. Among the bigger names discussed, 17-year veteran LaMarcus Aldridge was tabbed as possibly being an ideal fit for the team, especially if New York winds up trading power forward Julius Randle. “Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge...
The Dallas Stars recently locked up goaltender Jake Oettinger to a three-year extension, now their attention should be on Jason Robertson’s new deal. After a positive season in a difficult Central Division, the Dallas Stars had some serious roster decisions to address this season with restricted free agents Jake Oettinger and Jason Robertson, both of whom are expected to be long-term key pieces to the team. Oettinger had a solid second season in the NHL, before turning things up a notch (or two) and posting a 1.81 goals against average and a .954 save percentage during their seven-game first-round series against the Calgary Flames. With the 23-year-old showing what he is capable of achieving between the pipes, the Stars locked him up to a new three-year, $4 million AAV contract, leaving just one key piece left to sign a new deal. One that is expected to be significantly more in both value and length. Jason Robertson, who broke into the NHL in the second year of his entry-level contract in 2021, saw out his contract year with some stellar performances...
Zach Wilson participated in practice on Monday and it remains possible that the New York Jets quarterback could return from a knee injury in time to start the franchise's season opener.  Coach Robert Saleh told reporters that Wilson did some throwing while testing out his right knee, which was injured in the preseason opener at Philadelphia on August 12.  Wilson suffered a bone bruise and torn meniscus, which required for him to receive arthroscopic surgery, done in Los Angeles, on August 16.  'Looked good, felt good,' Saleh said of Wilson's return to training. Saleh added the Jets will evaluate Wilson, 23, over the next two days and make a decision Wednesday on whether he or Joe Flacco, 37, will be under center Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens — leaving the door open for Wilson potentially returning less than a month after surgery. Zach Wilson returned to practice with the Jets on Monday for the first time since August The 23-year-old is in contention to start Sunday's NFL opener against the Baltimore Ravens 'Yeah, it's possible,' Saleh said of the 23-year-old's chances to...

Getty P.J. Tucker #17 of the Miami Heat reacts on the floor. This offseason, one of the key moves made by the Philadelphia 76ers was signing veteran forward P.J. Tucker. After he opted out of his player option with the Miami Heat, Daryl Morey swooped in with a three-year, $33 million contract.  With Danny Green getting traded away for De’Anthony Melton, the Sixers needed a new veteran presence in the locker room. As a former champion with the Milwaukee Bucks, the 37-year-old knows what it takes to win at the highest level. Along with filling a void off the court, Tucker is the exact type of player the Sixers needed on the court. He is an above-average, versatile defender and a capable shooter from beyond the arc. In 71 games with the Heat last season, Tucker averaged 7.6 PPG and 5.5 RPG while shooting 41.5% from deep.  Following an offseason that saw countless players change teams, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley listed each team’s best new weapons. Because he is such a seamless fit, Tucker was chosen for the Sixers. Age will catch...
We’ve spent months speculating about the composition of the Ravens’ 53-man roster. Now that it’s set, save for a few moves around the edges, we carry on to a more important question: What kind of team do they have? This is not a new question, but it’s one worth asking again with the season staring them in the face. We’re past the point of pie-in-the-sky projections for untested players and overly optimistic timelines for those returning from major injuries. We’re much closer to the truth, at least as it applies to the version of the Ravens we’ll see in Week 1. With this in mind, let’s sort that roster of 53 into tiers (players listed alphabetically in each): Superstars TE Mark Andrews CB Marlon Humphrey QB Lamar Jackson K Justin Tucker No one would dispute that Jackson is the most important player on the roster and one of the most important in franchise history. He is the Ravens to anyone looking from the outside, and if he’s not great, they won’t be either. Tucker is the best at...
Getty One Broncos edge-rusher who could be available for trade is a good fit for the Atlanta Falcons. The Atlanta Falcons have worked hard to beef up their pass rush, but a team that logged an NFL-low 18 sacks last season can’t have enough capable edge-rushers. It means there’s still room for another outside linebacker alongside veterans Lorenzo Carter and Adetokunbo Ogundeji, as well as rookies Arnold Ebiketie and DeAngelo Malone. Fortunately, this is the right time of year to go looking for extra help at key positions. Teams are preparing to trim their rosters to 53 players, and some franchises may even still try to trade viable assets. One such team is the Denver Broncos, who have a surfeit of edge-rushers and can spare a former undrafted free agent who has produced in recent seasons, according to one writer.Broncos Edge Worth a Late-Round Draft Pick for FalconsMalik Reed could find himself on the trading block before final cuts. He’s the odd man out in a crowded rotation, per Bleacher Report’s Ian Wharton: “Denver will be just fine...
New York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims is asking for a trade after falling to the bottom of the organization’s depth chart. The New York Jets have had a strong offseason, adding key free agents and crushing the NFL Draft to put an intriguing roster of playmakers together for second-year quarterback Zach Wilson. One player who isn’t a factor in the team’s plans is third-year wide receiver Denzel Mims, who has asked the Jets for a trade according to a press release from his agent. Mims’ agent, Ron Slavin, said in the release that the 2020 second-round pick “does not have a future with the Jets.” The addition of 2022 first-round pick Garrett Wilson and the Jets’ decision to re-sign Braxton Berrios pushed Mims down the depth chart, where he was fighting with the likes of Jeff Smith and Calvin Jackson for reps. Will the Jets be able to get anything for Denzel Mims?It is unfortunate for the Jets that Mims, a premium draft pick just three years ago, isn’t a good fit for their current roster. Mims fell out...
Getty The Cowboys could pursue DT Ndamukong Suh. The Dallas Cowboys are a potential landing spot for one of the most accomplished defensive players in the league today. According to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, the Cowboys are a potential destination for five-time Pro Bowler Ndamukong Suh. Suh more recently spent the past three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning a Super Bowl while not missing a single game for Tampa Bay. “Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports that the Raiders are interested in Ndamukong Suh, who is seeking $9 million per year,” says Rosenthal. “That number explains why the 35-year-old Suh is still a free agent despite showing he can still play as a Buc last year. If Suh is willing to take half that much, he should be with a team by Week 1. The Raiders, Browns and Cowboys all have too much cap space and could use a big body up front.”Why the Cowboys Could Be Interested in SuhThe Cowboys could use an experienced big body up front for depth purposes. Prince William and Kate Middleton will send their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, to the prestigious £21,000-a-year Lambrook School following their move to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, it was confirmed today. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are seeking a life away from the 'fishbowl' of their current official residence of Kensington Palace in London, where they have been based since 2017, in a bid to put their children first and give the 'most normal' life possible.  The couple have been planning a move to Berkshire since last year and royal aides have now revealed their children will all go to the same school, which is about seven miles away from their new home, from September. A source said: 'This is very much a decision that two parents have made to give their children the "most normal" start possible. KP can be a little bit of a fishbowl.  'They wanted to be able to give George, Charlotte and Louis a bit more freedom than they have living in central London. It's very much a decision that's been led by the...
Getty One Patriots pass-catcher who could be cut is a good fit for the Ravens. Wide receiver remains the one obvious uncertainty on the Baltimore Ravens’ roster headed into the 2022 NFL season. Things haven’t been cleared up at training camp, nor by performances during the team’s 23-10 preseason victory over the Tennessee Titans on Friday, August 12. Injuries to some members of a relatively unproven group only increase the need for the Ravens to add a veteran wideout to the mix. One receiver not linked with the team represents a good scheme fit if he’s cut by the New England Patriots. This former first-round pick has been tipped to be released before the season begins. He’d make a difference to a pedestrian Ravens passing game still lacking a credible deep threat.Top-20 Pick Makes Sense for RavensNelson Agholor has barely lived up to expectations since being drafted 20th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015. Comic and pundit Bill Maher blasted the “disturbing trend” he called “fat celebration” in America, saying that it represents a broader problem of “rewriting science to fit ideology” in the “New Rules” segment of Friday’s Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO. In the final New Rule of the night, Maher said that “everybody should be allowed to let themselves go a couple of times a year.” He said the dog days of summer, vacation time, and the holidays are all normal reasons to indulge, and nobody should “feel bad about opening up the pants after Thanksgiving dinner and doing that thing where you undo the top button and try to hold it together with just the belt.” “That’s all fine, but not all year round,” he said. “And that’s what’s kind of happened to America. Letting ourselves go now as an all year round thing.” He brought up the so-called boy positivity push in media and popular culture, saying that it embraces unhealthiness under the guise of acceptance, and has gone from fat “acceptance” to “fat celebration.” And that...

Mike Gesicki has a pivotal season on the horizon. The Miami Dolphins’ tight end is set to play under the franchise tag in a new offense in 2022, which could help determine whether he gets the lucrative, long-term contract extension he covets with the Dolphins. The franchise tag, as deceptively flattering as the term sounds, is not ideal for NFL players that want the most guaranteed money over multiple seasons. It’s essentially a one-year contract, but it does bring Gesicki a hefty payday in that one season, $10.9 million, as it’s valued for tight ends. Gesicki doesn’t want to do anything disruptive for the team about his contract situation, as the Dolphins are almost a week into training camp. “It’s a business. The team will do what’s best for the team,” he said after Saturday’s drills, the team’s fourth training camp session and first in front of fans. “I’m not a big complainer about it, make a big deal about it. It seems like, the guys that do, get paid a lot of money, so maybe I should have. I...

With free agent lefty Dallas Keuchel likely on the move again, these teams should take a flier on him. Who would have thought that a former Cy Young Award winner and two-time All-Star would be one of (if not the) worst pitchers in the game over the past two seasons? Unfortunately, that’s the exact situation 34-year-old Dallas Keuchel has found himself in. Left-hander Dallas Keuchel has been designated for assignment by the Arizona Diamondbacks, sources tell ESPN. Getty Marcus Smart of the Celtics Star point guard Kenny Anderson spent only five of his 14 NBA seasons with the Boston Celtics, but anyone who pays attention to his social media presence knows he retains a lot of loyalty to his former team, and pulled hard for them in this year’s playoffs. He came out of the postseason run with the same opinion that many around the league held—that the Celtics could use one more experienced distributor off the bench, because Derrick White is more of a two-guard and a point man and that coach Ime Udoka did not have much trust in second-year man Payton Pritchard. When Heavy Sports’ Steve Bulpett asked Anderson about his thoughts on the addition of Malcolm Brogdon by trade this summer, Anderson was quick to point out that Brogdon would be an ideal complement for Smart. “I really love (Marcus) Smart and the way he plays the game, but I think Boston really needed another point guard to add to him,” Anderson said. “Smart’s a hell of a player, All-Defense team,...

The New York Times reports that police are seeking a 22-year-old white man in connection with the July 4 Highland Park attack. The individual is described as a “person of interest” believed to be driving a silver 2010 Honda Fit “with Illinois license plates.” CNN reports the license plate number is DM80653. The 19-year-old was down to play two-time Slam champion Garbine Muguruza of Spain for 45 minutes this afternoon. But Raducanu’s team informed officials at late notice that she would not be walking out to an arena where the world’s media and photography were waiting. A replacement had to be quickly found and a beaming Yuriko Miyazaki – who this year defected from Japan to Britain – took up the opportunity to play a high-calibre opponent on a prestigious show court. Getty Another former 3rd-rd pick of the Giants, who's likely to be cut, is a good fit for the Falcons. Quality edge-rushers are something the Atlanta Falcons can’t have too many of entering the 2022 NFL season. Last year’s defense propped up the league standings with a measly 18 sacks, and general manager Terry Fontenot’s efforts to improve the pass rush have been considerable. Fontenot used second- and third-round picks on edge-rushers in this years’ draft. He also added a former third-rounder of the New York Giants in free agency. The Giants could again provide the Falcons with another reclamation project on the edge. A third-round choice in 2019 able to play both defensive end and outside linebacker, but a player who is predicted to miss out on a spot on the Giants’ final 53-man roster. Getty Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers and Nicolas Claxton of the Brooklyn Nets, the latter of whom could be a potential Chicago Bulls target this summer. The Chicago Bulls have made it known that they are looking to improve their interior defense this summer. There were reports that they are interested in players such as Rudy Gobert and Mitchell Robinson, both of whom would help in that area Gobert would be great in theory, but bringing him to Chicago would require the Bulls to send out Nikola Vucevic and other pieces, as the Jazz wouldn’t trade him for cheap. And while Robinson would be a solid add, they would probably have to overpay to bring him to the Windy City. However, there could be a guy on the market who would fit the Bulls’ needs without them having to break the bank. Nicolas Claxton should be someone that they try to go after this summer, as they will have their non-taxpayer MLE available to them. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Matt Ryan followed his regular routine this offseason. He helped fine-tune the playbook, broke down last season’s game tapes and met with coaches and teammates. Only this time, he was working with a new team — the Indianapolis Colts. On Thursday, the 37-year-old Ryan completed his first offseason workouts outside Atlanta by saying he felt more comfortable and confident about running coach Frank Reich’s offense. “I feel like personally like I’m a lot further along when it comes to terminology and understanding what we’re trying to do offensively,” Ryan said. “All in all, I think everyone’s pleased with how the last few weeks have gone.” For the 15-year veteran, this is a first. While coaching changes forced Ryan to learn multiple offenses in Atlanta and the NFL’s constantly changing rosters helped him break in dozens of teammates, Ryan has not been the new face of the locker room since the Falcons drafted him No. 3 overall in 2008. Back then the former Boston College star was the hand-picked successor to Michael Vick and hyped as a future...

The Prince of Wales was caught laughing uncontrollably while watching Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant parade on Sunday. His peals got the attention of Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince William, who could be seen on video asking him what had him guffawing. While Prince Charles tried to explain, both his wife and son clearly didn’t think it was as funny as he did. They both smiled but certainly didn’t have the same reaction as him. The parade – which capped off a four-day extravaganza celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign – was notable for offering fans a glimpse into the royal family. Prince Charles’ 4-year-old grandson, Prince Louis, also went viral for his various antics, which included poking his tongue out at his mother,...
Getty The Cardinals can fix their secondary with a former Titans CB. Free agency may be in its final throes, but the veteran market still offers some good fits for the two biggest holes on the Arizona Cardinals’ defense. The unit is a proven edge-rusher and experienced cornerback short of being playoff ready in 2022. Fortunately, the latter position can be filled by a free agent familiar with the Cardinals. He’s a former Pro Bowler who faced the Cards twice a year when he played his first four seasons in the NFC West. ALL the latest Cardinals news straight to your inbox! (Photo by Nick Cammett/Getty Images) The Cleveland Browns appear just a few players shy of erasing all areas of weakness from their roster. While the key unit left to address remains the interior of the defensive line, the team may also look to add another wide receiver to a position group filled with mostly young, inexperienced NFL pass catchers. A handful of names have been discussed over the course of the offseason. The leader in the clubhouse for much of that time was recently released Browns wideout Jarvis Landry, who the franchise cut to clear approximately $15 million in cap space but who was almost immediately interested in re-signing when it became clear that quarterback Deshaun Watson would replace Baker Mayfield under center moving forward. Cleveland eventually offered Landry a one-year contract at a discount from his previous salary but the wide receiver, for whatever reason, found that...
Getty Kyle Anderson #1 of the Memphis Grizzlies warms up The Chicago Bulls need to be savvy on the free-agent market, says NBC Sports Chicago’s Rob Schaefer. That could lead them to one of the slowest players in the NBA in Memphis Grizzlies free agent, Kyle Anderson. After a swift exit from the playoffs, Bulls vice president of basketball operations, Arutras Karnisovas, is intent on building around the core. With little in the way of trade or financial capital, however, every move is critical. They have very clear deficiencies – three-point shooting, rim protection, and a big wing to help with opponents’ big wings. It is a role that is supposed to be filled by Patrick Williams. But the Bulls are still woefully thin on players such as Anderson that fit that mold.A Productive JourneymanSchaefer prefaces his comments on the “Bulls Talk Podcast” by saying this would be someone he would target, putting no such assumption on what the Bulls might do. But a lot of the choice is driven by the Bulls’ financial outlook. “I’m mostly looking...

Patrick Wisdom quickly rattled off a few words that summarized his last 12 months. Whirlwind. Surprising. Exciting. Fun. Grateful. One year ago today, the Chicago Cubs called up Wisdom, unknowingly giving him the extended big-league opportunity he had been waiting for. Since then, Wisdom has gone from a 29-year-old rookie making the most of his chance nine years into his professional baseball career to making himself a factor on the Cubs and forcing the organization to view him as a viable power hitter. In those 145 games, Wisdom has produced a .230 average, .298 on-base percentage, .514 slugging percentage, 116 OPS+, 21 doubles, 38 home runs, 79 runs scored and 84 RBIs over 524 plate appearances. Wisdom’s willingness to do whatever the Cubs ask of him, notably playing anywhere defensively including center field in one game this year, and the thump in his bat has stood out to manager David Ross. “Being able to go through a full major-league season with the ups and downs that have come with his performance, it’s been really rewarding to watch him have the...
No matter which side of the Kyrie Irving fence you sit on, it’s important to remember one thing: If he leaves as a free agent this offseason, so do the Nets’ championship hopes because they don’t have the cap space to outright replace him. That’s the gamble the Nets made in the summer of 2019, and what Nets GM Sean Marks must keep in mind when insinuating it’s unclear whether or not Irving “is the right fit” in Brooklyn. There is no more right fit. The only right fit is whatever it takes to bring an NBA championship to the borough, and Irving, one of the most skilled players of all-time who hit the shot to deliver Cleveland the title in 2016, gives you a real chance when he’s on the roster. And when he’s on the floor, which understandably is the Nets’ sticking point here. That is what substantiates Marks’ stance, and is the pill Irving himself must swallow: Chalk Year 1 up to the nagging injuries, but sitting games for personal reasons including the riot at the capitol...
Getty Guard Ochai Agbaji #40 of the Kansas Jayhawks handles the ball The Chicago Bulls might want to turn to Kansas’ Ochai Agbaji in the NBA Draft on June 23. Even with Lonzo Ball’s knee and Zach LaVine’s free agency (and knee) stealing headlines, the draft is before free agency and the Draft Combine began on Monday, May 16. We have seen suggestions that they select Auburn’s Walker Kessler, a shot-blocking 7-footer. There have also been calls to go for productive Ohio State forward, E.J. Liddell. Agbaji could provide the Bulls with the improvement on the margins that they seek. Especially with the growing concern around the health of the Bulls’ backcourt. He would not be a bad choice for the Bulls with the 18th-overall pick as mocked by Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley.Heart of a ChampionAgbaji spent four years in Lawrence winning a National Championship this past season. He had 12 points with three rebounds in that game while knocking down 3-of-5 threes and notching an assist, a block, as well as a steal. The 6-foot-5 wing led...
An extendable children's shoe that can stretch a size and a half could soon appear in British stores. Shoe brand Pip & Henry is developing the new invention for under-sevens, the age where children's feet grow most quickly. Founder Jeroo Doodhmal said the mechanism could double the shoes' lifespan. Young children's shoe sizes change roughly three times a year. The out-of-the-box idea is being funded by John Lewis, which gave Pip & Henry £250,000 via its £1million eco fund. Stretchy material in the upper and an interlocking mechanism in the sole will extend the shoe Ms Doodhmal, 38, told The Guardian: 'I think we’re about a year away from it being in the shops.  'We have to test the prototypes and then take it to industry experts for their feedback … then come up with a final concept that’s ready for commercial launch.' Pip & Henry's sustainable shoes for children cost £60 - and the expanding range would likely cost £20 more, the founder said. 'It is my ambition to keep the cost down as much as possible', she explained. Each...
The Ravens addressed an immediate need in the third round of the NFL draft, picking Connecticut defensive tackle Travis Jones, a powerful interior presence regarded as a second-round talent by many analysts. The 6-foot-4, 325-pound Jones delivered 47 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks, impressive numbers for an interior lineman, in 2021. The No. 76 overall pick did not play the previous season because of the coronavirus pandemic. “The emotion was crazy,” Jones said on a Zoom call shortly after the Ravens picked him. “I’m just happy I got picked up by the right team and the right fit.” ESPN analyst Mel Kiper referred to Jones “as a potential monster inside” with first-round talent. Pro Football Focus said he’s “not much of a playmaker or finisher in [the] run game” but that he “rag-dolled linemen left and right.” He improved his draft stock with a standout performance at the Senior Bowl and eye-popping test numbers at the NFL scouting combine. Though Pro Football Focus referred to him as “a quintessential block of granite at nose tackle,” he ran the 40-yard dash...
Getty Isaiah Hartenstein The Chicago Bulls‘ offseason officially begins on Wednesday night after a 116-100 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Bulls wound up losing eight of their last 10 games including the postseason. Five of those losses came at the hands of the Bucks who also beat them 127-106 in the last week of the regular season. The Bulls were beaten by 15 points or more seven times in the last 10 games they played. Clearly, injuries were an issue, but interior defense and scoring were also a problem. Don’t expect a player like the Los Angeles Clippers’ Isaiah Hartenstein to be the cure for all that ailed the Bulls down the stretch of the regular season and in the playoffs, but an impending free agent might help deliver some of what the Bulls were missing this year.Isaiah Hartenstein Would Be ‘An Ideal Fit for the Bulls’According to Heavy.com’s NBA editor and insider Sean Deveney, Hartenstein is drawing some interest and he would be “an...
The rapid collapse of CNN+ was the worst possible start to the $43billion merger between its parent company WarnerMedia and Discovery. But it could also spell doom for the hundreds of journalists now clamoring for a limited number of jobs going at the broadcasting behemoth. CEO Chris Licht, who does not officially take over until May 2, tried to assure them they will get opportunities to apply for roles at Warner Bros Discovery. Yet a stream of them have already been posting on social media hinting they are looking for jobs elsewhere or taking redundancy. Meanwhile speculation is already mounting over what will happen to the titanic figures CNN+ lured on huge contracts to face the app. Chris Wallace, Sara Sidner, Audie Cornish, Kasie Hunt and Brian Stelter are among the stellar cast to have been left in the lurch. Wallace is hotly tipped for a new role at the cable news mothership, with his longform interviews proving a hit with the streaming service's limited viewership. Sidner also appeared to be a success during her brief time hosting Big Picture and could...
