JEFFREY Dahmer told investigators that police almost caught him several times, but he was "soft spoken" and "respectful" which allowed him "to talk his way out of problems", according to FBI documents. A couple of these close encounters were depicted in the Netflix docuseries, most notably the time when Dahmer's neighbor Glenda Cleveland caught him with a naked, bleeding and drugged 14-year-old Konerak Sinthasomphone on May 27, 1991. 6Jeffrey Dahmer sitting in court in August 1991 shortly after his arrestCredit: AP:Associated Press 6Dahmer killed 17 people between 1978 and 1991Credit: Alamy 6Dahmer luckily avoided capture because of shoddy police work, he told investigators, according to FBI documentsCredit: Getty Images - Getty In the show, Cleveland alerted police, but the officers chalked it up to a lovers' quarrel and didn't investigate it further. Dahmer said he "was terrified" and expected to be caught that night, according to FBI documents obtained by The U.S. Sun. The prosecutor who obtained the conviction of Jeffrey Dahmer — the notorious serial killer whose chilling crimes are the focus of Netflix’s controversial new series “Monster: The Jeffery Dahmer Story” — is reportedly pushing back at how the real-life drama is portraying Milwaukee police. Former Milwaukee District Attorney Michael McCann said that the idea that MPD officers turned a blind eye to Dahmer’s victims because they were gay or Black is simply not true. McCann, who obtained the conviction of the infamous serial killer and rapist in 1991, told TMZ he knows that “Dahmer” is characterizing investigators in the case as people whose judgments were clouded by racist and anti-gay biases — even though he hasn’t watched the show yet. The show “exposes these unconscionable crimes, centered around the underserved victims and their communities impacted by the systemic racism and institutional failures of the police that allowed one of America’s most notorious serial killers to continue his murderous spree in plain sight for over a decade,” Netflix said in an official synopsis. McCann, who’s now in his mid-80s, insisted that if police...
MILWUAKEE'S mayor is afraid of luring "ghoulish" people and "Jeffrey Dahmer acolytes" by erecting a physical memorial for his victims where his apartment once stood. The exploding popularity of Netflix's Dahmer docuseries has renewed calls for a victims' memorial, which Milkwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson agrees with conceptually, his spokesperson Jeff Fleming told The U.S. Sun. He "would rather hear the victims' names than Dahmer's", said Fleming, who was a journalist at the time of the Dahmer murders and covered the "The Milwaukee Cannibal"...
TWISTED US serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer shared many sick traits with the British mass murderer Dennis Nilsen, from their collecting of gruesome "trophies" to the victims they targeted. A New York couple spent more than 20 years seducing serial killers by writing to them in prison just because they were curious  - and they would often lure them in and win their trust by pretending to be similar to their victims. Barbara Dickstein, 60, and her late husband Richie targeted at least 100 serial killers and high profile murderers during their decades-long letter writing campaign. Among them were notorious killers John Wayne Gacy, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, David Berkowitz and Richard Ramirez.   The couple exchanged more than 30,000 letters with the killers, including many that detailed how the murderers tortured, raped and dismembered their victims. The letters are now part of a new podcast - Killer's Vault - that will launch on June 28 and is hosted by Law and Order actress Elisabeth Rohm and narrated by actor Eric Roberts. Their letter writing was sparked by their interest in what goes on in the minds of a killer. They were not driven by a need to help police solve cases.  Richie, who died in 2018, worked as a...
