In April, Peters explained to Variety how he had to pull back from digging too deep on the real-life story of Dahmer and instead commit to the scripts. "I've read so much, I've watched so much, I've seen so much, and at a certain point, you've got to say, 'All right, that's enough,'" Peters told the outlet. 5In April, Evans...
Michigan prosecutors argued in court on Tuesday that despite his young age, 15-year-old high school shooter Ethan Crumbley should remain in an adult jail, given his history of torturing animals, plotting a classmate's rape and murder, and expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler and Jeffrey Dahmer.  Attorneys for Crumbley painted a different picture of the youth, saying that he was struggling with mental health issues, including hallucinations and severe anxiety, prior to the November 30 shooting at Oxford High School, and that he had asked his parents for help. Crumbley's defense team argued before the court that he needs to be placed at Children's Village, a juvenile facility in Oakland County, so that he could be around his peers, and not in almost complete isolation like at the adult county jail. In January, Crumbley pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, terrorism and gun charges in connection with the school shooting, which killed four students and injured seven other people. His parents, Jennifer and James Crumbley, are currently jailed on charges of involuntary manslaughter for allegedly making...

This is how Alexis Thomas – the daughter of The Alley’s founder and owner Mark Thomas – described that storied intersection in its heyday in a 2009 Newcity article: “Kids with mohawks and leather jackets sat next to my lemonade stand with their jelly donuts and cigarettes. Skinheads, oi punks, riot grrrls, ’77 punks and metalheads crowded into tight circles and broke into the kind of fights that were all fists and snot and blood.” READ MORE: GOP Congressman Adam Kinzinger, A Vocal Critic Of Donald Trump, Won't Run For Re-Election; Hints At Bid For Higher OfficeYou don’t see that so much anymore. Evan Peters will reportedly play infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in an upcoming TV series. According to Variety, Peters will play the killer in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming Netflix series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters) Variety wrote the following details about the project: “Monster” tells the story of Dahmer through the eyes of his victims, and examines Dahmer’s white privilege and the law enforcement involved with a critical lens, depicting at least 10 times that Dahmer was apprehended by police but not prosecuted. There’s two points I want to make here. Historically speaking, Peters and Murphy have had a lot of success together. Peters has been in several seasons of “American Horror Story,” and “AHS” has turned into one of FX’s biggest hits. In fact, I’d argue “AHS” is probably Murphy’s greatest success story.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by American Horror Story (@ahsfx) Secondly, and more importantly, the story of Dahmer is way too interesting to ruin with a political lecture about...
Evan Peters has found his next killer project. Peters is set to play the title character in the upcoming Netflix show “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” The limited series is created by Ryan Murphy (“Hollywood”) and his “Glee” collaborator Ian Brennan. Peters, 34, is one of Murphy’s main muses and has acted in several of his projects, including “Pose” and “American Horror Story.”  Niecy Nash — the unforgettable star of another Murphy’s TV series, “Scream Queens” — has been cast as Glenda Cleveland, Dahmer’s neighbor who phoned the police — who didn’t believe her claims — about the serial killer’s crazy behavior. “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” will be told from the perspective of the infamous serial killer’s victims. The plot will begin in the 1960s with Dahmer’s early life and end with his arrest in 1991. According to Deadline, it will also focus on Dahmer’s “white privilege” and examine 10 instances in which law enforcement gave him “a free pass” after he “was almost apprehended but ultimately let go.” Penelope Ann Miller will portray Dahmer’s mother, Joyce, while two-time...
