In the latest addition to the pantheon of tough-guy gun-toting GOP grandstanding videos, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) spoke up in defense of gun rights on Monday in a clip of him wielding two assault rifles—one of which was aimed at his own right foot. “I have a message for the Biden administration,” Jackson, the former physician to President Donald Trump, said in his video shared on Twitter, which racked up over a million views in under 24 hours. “If you’re thinking about taking our ARs, you can start here in Texas. On behalf of all the law-abiding gun owners in the state of Texas, I just want to say: come and get it.” Captioning the video, Jackson added: “I will NEVER give up my firearms. I will NEVER surrender my AR-15. If Democrats want to push an insane gun-grab, they can COME AND TAKE IT!” His impassioned defense of assault rifles came on the same day that a damning report was published explaining what an assault rifle did to 19 children and two teachers in a school...
Troubled actor Ezra Miller is living with a Hawaii-based mother of three and her young children at his Vermont farmhouse, surrounded by guns and large quantities of marijuana, according to a report. Miller, whose meteoric career is now hanging in the balance, is accused by the children's father of putting them in danger. 'I got a bad feeling in my stomach,' the father told Rolling Stone. He said the 25-year-old mother left their island home with Miller, who uses the pronoun 'they', in April, and took the children without his consent. The father told the magazine that he was concerned for the wellbeing of the youngsters, aged between one and five. 'I do want to go get my kids, they mean the f****** world to me,' he said. The 29-year-old Miller, who identifies as queer and uses they/them pronouns, is seen in an April 29 mugshot taken in Hawaii. The 10-year-old boy whose mugshot was posted on the Internet after he 'jokingly' threatened to shoot up his Florida elementary school is still locked up in a detention center, DailyMail.com can reveal. Daniel Marquez was ordered to be detained for 21 days by a judge last weekend after being charged with making a written threat after he sent three texts to a friend that allegedly suggested he was plotting to shoot up Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral. Those texts – two stock images and a message to his friend saying he was looking forward to the last day of school – have been taken totally out of context by authorities, the boy's lawyer told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview. 'It was an attempt at humor – but fifth-grade humor,'  Douglas Molloy said.  Daniel was handcuffed at his home and hauled off by sheriff's deputies during a 'perp walk' shared online by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. Authorities also released the boy's mugshot on Monday while warning that 'fake threats' result in 'real consequences.' DailyMail.com can reveal the boy is being held in...

A convicted sex offender from Toms River who police said was wearing a tactical vest and carrying two guns and three high-capacity magazines when he crashed his car on Route 35 last month has been charged federally, authorities said. Jeremy W. Barringer, 46, also had an empty handgun holster on his hip when Mantoloking and Bay Head officers asked him to step out of the vehicle following the 3 a.m. single-vehicle crash on Oct. 24 near Herbert Street, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig said. In plain view on the backseat floorboard was a 5.56-millimeter semi-automatic rifle that turned out to be loaded with 21 "full metal jacket" rounds, Honig said. A warranted search following Barringer's arrest in Mantoloking that morning turned up a 9-millimeter semi-automatic pistol with no serial number (commonly referred to as a “ghost gun”), the U.S. attorney said. It was loaded with 14 rounds of hollow-point ammunition, the U.S. attorney said. Also found were three 9-millimeter pistol magazines -- also loaded with hollow points -- and three 30-round rifle magazines loaded with 5.56-millimeter ammo, she said....
The police chief of Aurora implored parents to 'take guns away from their kids' after three 16-year-olds were charged for attempted murder following a firefight that injured three students in a school parking lot - the second drive-by in a school zone there within a week.  One of the shooters was apprehended hours after the Friday shooting at Hinkley High School in Colorado after he sought medical attention for injuries sustained in the shoot out. Two other teens - a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy - were hospitalized following the incident.  On Sunday, two more 16-year-olds were arrested, one in Aurora and the other from the nearby town of Parker.  All three suspects are being held on charges of first-degree attempted murder.  A motive has not been revealed in the case, and Aurora Police Department is still searching for an unspecified number of additional people involved in the attack, and are offering $2,000 for tips leading to their arrests.  Earlier last week, six teens aged 14 to 18 were struck by bullets shot by 'multiple gunmen' at Nome Park,...
A fight broke out in a school parking lot in Colorado that ended with three students shot and in the hospital.  The Aurora Police Department said in a statement Friday that a fight broke out at Hinkley High School around lunchtime and ended with a 17-year-female, 17-year-old male and 16 year-old male in the hospital.  One of the teenagers was taken to the hospital from the scene, while the other two self-transported to the hospital.  In an update on Twitter, the department said it charged a 16-year-old boy with attempted murder in connection with the shooting, although the police chief said there were “multiple shooters.” Multiple guns were used in the fight, as different shell casings of different calibers were found at the scene.  The investigation is ongoing, as it is not clear what roles the victims played in the fight. The police did not release their conditions in the hospital. “The violence, especially involving our youth, must stop. We have a call to action for parents: check on your kids. Kids are getting guns from somewhere. We need parents to be more involved...
By Larry Keane Gun collectors, beware. Certain Members of Congress believe if an individual buys too many guns, too much ammunition or too many accessories, that person is a potentially dangerous criminal or a “domestic terrorist.” They also want banks to tell on anyone who might be buying too much. U.S. Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and U.S. Reps. Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.), and Jennifer Wexton, (D-Va.) introduced The Gun Violence Prevention Through Financial Intelligence Act, H.R. 5764, in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate as S. 3117. The legislation is troublesome because the politicians authoring it pitch it as a means to detect and prevent those who might be planning to commit an atrocity or terror attack. The bill is fraught with civil liberty violations and not just those freedoms protected by the Second Amendment. Privacy rights – specifically those related to finances – would go by the wayside. The bill would require the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen) to give guidance to banks so they can report “suspicious financial activity.” According to Sen. Markey, this undefined suspicious financial...

Security footage, captured in the store in the Rainier Valley, showed the masked individuals entering the store at around 6.30pm on Sunday. The trio entered the store and began waving guns at the staff, telling them: 'Nobody move!'  One of the masked men, wearing an all-black outfit, approached a member of staff and demanded to know where the store's money was kept.  The three thieves then left the salon and fled in a silver can that had New Mexico registration plates, according to Fox News.   Janny Lam, the daughter of the store's owner, said that money, car keys and wallets were all stolen in the raid - but that nobody was injured.  Security footage, captured in the store in the Rainier Valley, showed the masked individuals entering the store at around 6.30pm on Sunday Following the weekend raid, Lam set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise $3,000 to replace the stolen goods and to purchase better quality security systems. Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont joined his counterparts from a trio of other Northeastern states to announce a new agreement to share crime gun data, a move they contend will help stem gun violence in their states. Law enforcement agencies in the four states will share crime gun data as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) the governors signed. Their goal is to identify and arrest straw purchasers, dealers, traffickers and others. “Right now, we’re all putting more police on the street; we’re community policing more folks,” Lamont said during a virtual meeting. “… Like the War on Drugs, you don’t want to just go after that kid with a nickel bag or that kid with the pistol. We’re going to take care of them, but I want to go after the kingpins. I want to go after those pushers. I want to go after those big drug and gun wholesalers, those big guns, so to speak. “And that’s what this eTrace system allows us to do,” Lamont added. “We can track that gun back, see where it originates from,...
