Screenshot via Twitter Charlie Crist, the Democratic nominee for Florida governor, made an odd request of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) voters this week, telling them that instead of flipping their vote, they should just stick with DeSantis. Speaking to reports this week, Crist said he had no interest in wooing DeSantis supporters, accusing them of having “hate” in their hearts. “Those who support the governor should stay with him and vote for him. I don’t want your vote. If you have that hate in your heart, keep it there,” Crist said. Crist previously served as Florida’s governor from 2007-2011, and despite his words about DeSantis voters, he said he wants Floridians to “unify” around his ticket. “I want the vote of the people of Florida who care about our state. Good Democrats. Good Independents. Good Republicans. Unify with this ticket,” he said. Crist: “Those who support DeSantis should stay with him and vote for him and I don’t want your vote. Alan Dershowitz argued there is a concerted effort from opponents of former President Donald Trump to keep him from running for office in 2024. The former Harvard Law professor argued he did not want “bureaucrats” from denying him a chance to vote against the former president, should he run and ultimately win the GOP nomination. Dershowitz joined the right-wing streaming platform Real America’s Voice where he railed against what he described against an endeavor to disqualify Trump from office. “Look, I’m a liberal Democrat, I voted for [Joe Biden],” Dershowitz told John Solomon on Just the News Not Noise. “I’m not gonna vote for Trump if he runs for reelection. I want to have the right to vote against him, I don’t want to see bureaucrats deny me that right to vote against him, that’s what democracy is.” Dershowitz added Trump’s opponents are making an “attempt to try to get him disqualified from running.” “I don’t think it’s gonna work,” Dershowitz added. “I think it actually, probably has strengthened his base of support.” The attorney stated: There are three kinds...
Donald Trump's claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged got a standing ovation from a crowd of young conservatives in Tampa on Friday night. At another point he blasted the global climate crisis as a 'hoax' that had to be 'defeated' by Republicans.  After arriving more than an hour late to his scheduled appearance at Turning Point USA's Student Action Summit, the former president delivered a lengthy hour-and-a-half speech in which he raged at the Biden administration, Democrats' agenda, the border crisis - and dropped more hints he could run to change that in 2024. 'Our country has never been in a position like this. The election was stolen, it was rigged,' the former president said in his speech, sponsored by Turning Point Action.  'I ran twice, I won twice, and I did much better the second time than the first.'  The audience in the Tampa Convention Center erupted in cheers - a departure from the lackluster reception his complaints about the 2020 race have gotten at recent campaign rallies. And dropping yet another hint about his 2024 ambitions,...
Joe Rogan doesn’t want former President Donald Trump as a guest on his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” saying “I don’t want to help him.” In a recent interview on “The Lex Fridman Podcast,” Rogan revealed that he has had the opportunity to interview Trump a number of times but has always turned down the chance. Joe Rogan conceded that Trump has a good chance of winning back the presidency in 2024 because President Joe Biden is essentially senile. “Well, he’s running against a dead man,” Rogan said when asked about Trump’s chances. “Biden shakes hands with people that aren’t even there when he gets off stage. I think he’s seeing ghosts.” He said Biden’s recent appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live was an embarrassment. “He was just rambling,” Rogan said. “If he was anyone else, if he was a Republican – if that was Donald Trump doing that – every fucking talk show would be screaming for him to be off the air.” Joe Rogan then quickly denied that he is backing Trump. “By the way, I’m not a Trump...
Joe Rogan revealed he has turned down multiple offers for former President Donald Trump to appear on his podcast. Speaking with podcast host Lex Fridman on his show on Monday, Rogan admitted to not being a Trump supporter and refusing to ‘help him’ on his platform. “The Trump era is also going to be one of the weirder times,” Rogan said. “When people look back historically about the division in this country, he’s such a polarizing figure that so many people felt like they could abandon their own ethics and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him because he is an existential threat to democracy itself.” “Don’t you think it’s not a cause, but maybe like a symptom, like it’s gonna get, you said it got real weird. Maybe it’s gonna get weirder,” Fridman replied. In response, Rogan said he believes the former president will run for office again. Fridman followed up by asking if he thinks Trump could win “Well, he’s running against a dead man, you know? I mean, (Joe) Biden, shakes hands...
Even though their bouts were in kickboxing, Alex Pereira, who faces Sean Strickland at UFC 276, feels Israel Adesanya will do everything in his power to not face him in MMA Alex Pereira may not be the most experienced MMA fighter, with just two UFC bouts and six MMA fights total, but he’s a much well-known name in the community. In fact, he’s quite the familiar face to current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. Pereira, the former GLORY Kickboxing middleweight and light heavyweight champion, fought Israel Adesanya twice in kickboxing. Pereira won both times, winning the April 2016 fight by decision and their March 2017 fight by a brutal knockout. Adesanya has recently claimed that both kickboxing bouts were closer than what the record books would say, but Pereira feels the results may be very similar if the two were to ever meet in MMA.UFC 276: Alex Pereira says Israel Adesanya doesn’t want to fight him, thinks he can make Adesanya leave on a stretcher again“[His comments] actually make me confused,” Pereira said, via a translator, at his UFC 276...

On Thursday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the host was joined by MMA fighter Aljamain Sterling. While their discussion was mostly centered around the world of martial arts, the long awaited verdict in the Depp v. Amber Heard trial was announced during their taping. Rogan hasn’t been coy with his feelings towards the trial and has repeatedly slammed Heard for being a “liar”. During the taping, longtime producer Jamie Vernon interrupted the conversation to announce that he would be bringing up the live video of the courtroom. “Oh my God,” Rogan gasped. “Crank it up. Crank it up. Oh my God, the Johnny Depp verdict — live!” “This is insane!” Sterling said. The video then jumps to Rogan and Sterling’s reactions to the verdict. “She’s so crazy. I feel like, look, I don’t want her to have to pay him money. I really don’t,” Rogan said matter-of-factly. “Cause I think that that lady’s broken and psychologically she’s...

Two doctors and a midwife who put a live baby boy into a hospital freezer and left him to die to cover up the fact that he was wrongly diagnosed as stillborn have been jailed by a court in Kazakhstan. The boy, who was born premature on September 29, 2019 at the Atyrau Perinatal Centre, showed multiple signs of life, including moving his leg, that were ignored by the medics who also discussed drowning the infant before placing him into the freezer. Anti-corruption police chief Shyngys Kabdula said the doctors had 'decided to act according to paperwork already issued saying the child was stillborn,' despite noticing the child was alive.   The trio were found guilty on Monday of deliberately killing the baby to hide their negligence, state investigator Askarbek Ermukashev said, according to The Mirror. Head physician Kuanysh Nysabaev - who reportedly ordered the child put in the morgue's cold storage, despite knowing its leg had moved - was jailed for 18 years for 'medical infanticide'.  His accomplices -  obstetrician-gynaecologist Askar Kairzhan and midwife Jamilya Kulbatyrova - were sentenced to 16...

DEAR ABBY: A friend’s wife died six months ago after a 10-year battle with cancer. He was her faithful caretaker, as she was mostly homebound and bedridden. Jeanne Phillips  He told me previously that he has had a female friend for the last four years. He didn’t say, but I think she comes “with benefits” (i.e., they have been intimate). Her office and his workplace regularly interact, and he knows her family and her kids. He likes me, and I like him. During this initial grief period — perhaps even for a year — I wish to only be friends, and I have told him we are not going to be intimate anytime soon. As his grief lessens, it is possible that he and I may eventually date. JONATHAN ERNST The Trump administration has for years gathered intelligence about foreign powers, including both Russia and Iran, using financial means to support and encourage armed militants in Afghanistan, according to six current and former U.S. intelligence and national security officials. And, those officials said, the president has been briefed about those wide-ranging efforts. The Taliban Peace Deal Might Have Been Had Many Years and Thousands of Lives Ago One current senior national security official and two other former officials familiar with intelligence gathering in Afghanistan said the Trump administration has closely tracked ways in which Iran uses cash to support militants in the Haqqani Network who have killed U.S. soldiers. But when intelligence emerged earlier this year that Russia had concocted a specific plan to pay bounties to mercenaries to kill American soldiers, intelligence and national security leaders did not brief the president in person. A person with knowledge of the situation says that although they are aware that the intelligence has circulated in the White House and within Trump’s own national security apparatus, they were unaware of...
