He then used his recent flight from the US to Australia as an example to bolster his scientific theories. “I flew 20 hours today, not once did I go this way,” he said, gesturing his arm diagonally. “I flew straight,” before adding that he “didn’t tip over” or “go upside down” during the journey. Radio host Kyle Sandiland inquired how someone could fly...
A New York fire captain pressured a black firefighter to attend a racist party at a Rochester mansion that featured a Trump cutout and KFC buckets in front of Juneteenth flags. Captain Jeffrey Krywy took firefighters Jerrod Jones, 40, who is black; McKenzie 'Mack' Neal, and Aurelio 'Angel' Perez to the East Avenue house while on-duty on July 11. Krywy has since resigned from his role - before disciplinary proceedings that could have resulted in his termination could begin.   The party, which was at dentist Nicholas Nicosia and his wife Mary's home, was private, but Krywy is said to have insisted they go. Jones filed a notice of claim - indicating he intends to file a lawsuit - on August 11 against the Rochester Fire Department (RFD) and and the City of Rochester. 'We will use the attached document as the basis of our lawsuit going forward. But we would prefer to resolve the matter with the City,' Jones' lawyer, Nate McMurray, told DailyMail.com on Wednesday.  Captain Jeffrey Krywy took firefighters Jerrod Jones, 40, who is black; McKenzie 'Mack' Neal,...
Former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal forked out $25,000 while out on a dinner date with a mystery woman, who he was overheard describing as 'my date,' and picking up the tab for every diner who was at an upscale restaurant in New York City.  O'Neal, who reportedly has a net worth of $400 million, was spotted dining with company at the Jue Lan Club in Chelsea on Sunday night, where he ordered Beijing chicken, shrimp tempura and the restaurant's specialty — chicken satay. 'She did all the ordering,' an inside source told Page Six. After enjoying their respective meals, O'Neal and his date left the restaurant a hefty tip that staff described afterwards as 'the biggest tip they've ever received.'  The NBA Hall of Famer also didn't want to capture any attention at the eatery as he told staff to be discreet and to not let other patrons know that he was going to cover their meal expenses. 'And to top that off, he paid for everyone's check [who was] dining at the restaurant,' which was more than 40 tables.  He...
Getty Kobe Bryant, left, and Shaquille O'Neal in 2001 Shaquille O’Neal had to get something off his chest about the Philadelphia 76ers. The supposed dream duo of James Harden and Joel Embiid never materialized, not after Embiid suffered two major injuries in the playoffs and Harden hit the snooze button late in games. O’Neal watched it all and rolled his eyes. Why? Because the 15-time All-Star had been told that Harden and Embiid were the new Kobe and Shaq. Nope, there will only be one Kobe and Shaq. That was a point that O’Neal needed to remind everyone about on Sunday as he vented on Instagram. O’Neal wrote: “Remember when everyone was saying that Harden and Embiid was Kobe and Shaq? Don’t y’all ever say that again. Only one superduo ever created, yea I said it, ONLY ONE. Miss you kobe.” apologies to @MiamiHEAT for thinking @sixers would fight. I feel bad for @JoelEmbiid. His season was derailed by a PG who quit on him last summer & a new PG who failed him when he needed him...
To say Saquon Barkley is excited for new Giants tackle Evan Neal is an understatement. “Evan Neal, he’s a physical specimen,” Barkley said Tuesday night at the United Way of New York City 29th annual Gridiron Gala at The Glasshouse in Midtown Manhattan. “He came for the draft top 30 visit. All the draft people kinda were by my locker. He was there and I was like, oh my God, who is that? “I saw him and was like I would not be mad if we would pick him up,” the running back said with a smile. “I didn’t know he was gonna drop that far (to No. 7 overall), but great. I’m glad he’s on our team.” Barkley, one of Tuesday night’s Hometown Heroes, said he’s not making any grand predictions or putting extra pressure on Neal (from Alabama) and No. 5 overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux (from Oregon). He just knows they’re two special additions to the team. “They’re great talents,” he said. “I’m excited especially selfishly as a running back, when you get a 6-7, 350-pound lineman helping...
NBA all-time great and TNT broadcaster Shaquille O’Neal pushed back hard against former teammate Gary Payton’s claim that Shaq used to dump aged buckets of piss on rookie players. “Shaq is a jokester. So if one of the rookies would be in the stall, he would take a bucket and use the bathroom in it for about a week. And then all of a sudden, he would pour it on them,” Payton said in an interview earlier this week. On the most recent edition of The Big Podcast with Shaq, Mr. O’Neal told co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams that Mr. Payton was incorrect — sort of. As he bantered about the claim, Shaq made subtle feints at adding wiggle room (saying “not a week,” correcting “urine” to “YOO-RHYNE”) — but heavily implied that a beverage with a urine-esque appearance may have been used in the prank. At some point, Mr. O’Neal appears to have crossed multiple appendages as he spoke. Ask your lawyer if this counts as a complete denial: MR. O’NEAL: Speaking of petty, I want to clear...
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Two human feet that washed ashore months and miles apart in South Carolina belonged to the same person, officials said. Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said at a news conference Wednesday that her office determined that they belonged to Janet Robinson, a 57-year-old woman who went missing. Her cause of death is still under investigation. It has been determined that she was originally from Mississippi and was living near Charleston at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen in August 2020, news outlets reported. A right foot, still inside a black and green running shoe, washed up near Fort Sumter in October 2020. And in March, a left foot in the same type of sneaker was found on James Island. O’Neal said her office submitted DNA from the right foot to the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification, hoping to receive a profile that could be uploaded to the FBI’s national database. Still waiting for results at the end of June, the coroner’s office sent a sample to a...

Former Baylor guard and current New York Liberty rookie DiDi Richards says her mom "loved" being hit on by Shaquille O’Neal during an interview last month.  Richards told reporters during Liberty’s media day that she’s "happy" with the attention her mom, Ungeanetta, has been receiving since Shaq called her mom "fine" during an appearance on cable's "NBA on TNT" program.    WNBA TIPS OFF 25TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW "My mom’s beautiful and I know that, and it’s just good to see the world take that in," she said, via the New York Post. "She’s the face behind the face, and no one ever gets to see that. And I’m just happy that she got her little shine. She loves it. My mom loves the attention. So as long as she loves it, I love it." Richards appeared on the show on April 14, the day before the Liberty selected her 17th overall, to talk about her journey back from a spinal cord injury but her mom briefly stole the spotlight -- and Shaq’s eye -- when she...

You could tweet all you wanted about Beale Street, where the blues were born. No problem if you debated the merits of dry rub versus wet sauce for Tennessee barbecue, in 280 characters or less. But for several hours Sunday, simply tweeting the word “Memphis” would get your Twitter account locked along with a vague notification alleging you’d violated platform policy. Naturally, some Twitter users suspected a conspiracy was afoot. Others tweeted it themselves to see if uttering the ancient name had really become a bannable offense — and indeed, it had. When the beef between Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant was still hot and brimming, a new man challenged Shaq. It was Dwight Howard and his unaccepted knack for dethroning Shaq that stung the four-time NBA Champion and made him Dwight’s biggest critic. Shaq began his career with Orlando Magic, and his magical superpower around the glass soon established him as the Superman in the league. The Magic home court made it a practice to showcase the superman logo on the screen every time the 7-footer would drop a dunk. In came Dwight Howard, and he dared to challenge that legacy. Shaquille O’Neal not ready to give away his superhero status In a recent episode of Inside the NBA, the 49-YO Hall of Famer sat down for a celebrity lunch with fellow mates in Charles Barkley and others. That’s where this topic around the DC Superhero analogy came up and Shaq proudly stated, “This dude right here, he started the beef… I don’t care. There’s only one Superman to ever come through this league, and you know his name. It’s...
The humbugs They are typical sweets very common in the United Kingdom and that have been made for a couple of centuries. They are usually flavored with mint flavor and are characteristic for being white with dark flanks (usually black, green or brown). Illustration published in the London magazine Punch in 1858 on the case of adulteration of candies (image via Wikimedia commons) On October 30, 1858, a tragic event took place in the English town of Bradford, resulting in the death of a score of people and another two hundred falling seriously ill. That fateful day William Hardaker (known to all with the nickname of ‘Humbug Billy’) had sold a good batch of candy from his Green Market stall on the traditional weekly market day in downtown Bradford. But on that occasion the sale was higher than on other days since it was the day before the celebration of All Saints’ Eve. As usual, he had bought a good number of kilos of candy from his usual supplier, a local confectioner named Joseph Neal from Stone Street. For the...
Bill O’Neal (Lakeith Stanfield) is a traitor and the movie Judas and the Black Messiah does not hide it. But neither does he ponder the role of the character as Black Panther Party Security Chief and FBI Agent. One of the great triumphs of King’s film is to analyze the duality of discourse – both historical and political – from the historical reconstruction. And thanks to that manages to develop a sense of power and fear, which turns the film into a rare mix of rhythms. At times, the script has a very marked interest in showing what happened in a troubled and violent Chicago. In others, analyze the inner world of your characters. Between the two, the plot advances to narrate the painful landscape of a divided and polarized country, not far from the current one. One of King’s great achievements is achieve to equate the North America of the sixties with the contemporary. From a distance, both scenarios are so similar as to terrify the viewer. The debate about discrimination, inequality and fear is the same. But, in...

New York : Democratic leaders in the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi and Richard Neal, at a press conference last December. Photo: Zach Gibson / . The bill presented on Monday by the Democratic representative Richard Neal is the starting point from which the section on the $ 1,400 stimulus check as part of “American rescue plan” driven by Biden Administration of $ 1.9 billion. What is most striking about the proposal in the House of Representatives is that it clearly specifies that individuals who earn annually up to $ 75,000 and $ 150,000, in the case of marriages, will be creditors of the total payment corresponding to the third stimulus check. From those income thresholds, payments will gradually decrease to zero. That was precisely the request of the most progressive Democrats in the federal Congress and the Senator Bernie Sanders, who lobbied for the new stimulus law to follow the same guidelines as the two previous statutes in terms of income level for eligibility. The action of Neal, Chairman of the Ways and Means...

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most successful franchises in the history of the NBA. They have won 16 NBA titles, second only to the Boston Celtics. And, the dynamic duo of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal were responsible for three of those titles. However, if it weren’t for the constant feuds between the two, they might have won a few more championships in the 2000s. Recently, another incident has surfaced from the duo’s legendary history of fighting. According to Jeff Pearlman’s, “Three-Ring Circus: Kobe, Shaq, Phil, and the Crazy Years of the Lakers Dynasty,” Shaq slapped Kobe Bryant during a pickup game in the 1999 lockout season. The altercation went like this: “They proceeded to divide into teams — some guys over here, some guys over there. O’Neal and Polynice — dueling 7-footers — were on different sides. ‘Kobe was on my squad,’ Polynice recalled. ‘Opposite Shaq’. “It was just another run, until it was no longer just another run. As he was prone to do in pickup, O’Neal called a series of iffy fouls whenever...

There has never been a dominant force like Shaquille O’Neal in the NBA. The Big Aristotle destroyed everything that came in his way to mark his name as one of the best athletes in the history of the league. He has an amazing resume to back it up too. But, did Shaq use loopholes to escape body fat tests?  The NBA conducts body fat tests for its players to measure the amount of fat present in an athlete’s body along with muscles and other tissues. Now, the Big Diesel is one of the heaviest players to ever play the game.  When the Hall of Famer was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004, Shaq admitted to be weighing 355 pounds. However, he trimmed down his weight gradually before he won his fourth career ring with the Heat.  The 2006 championship-winning Miami Heat team recently connected on a group call where all the players including coach Pat Riley was present. In their presence, big man Shaq revealed an insane trick he would use in order to fool the body fat test. ...
FLORIDA GOP representative Neal Dunn has said that masks and quarantine are the "silliest" things despite statewide coronavirus cases spiking. The politician made the comments during an interview with TMZ on Capitol Hill on Thursday. 1 Dunn said the recommendations are the 'silliest' thingsCredit: Getty Images - Getty The outlet's photographer asked Dunn why he is not wearing a face mask as he left the building, to which he jested he's "immune" as he has "had the disease." He continued: "I think people have gone way overboard, by the way being outside is the safest thing we can do. "This is the silliest thing that's happened to this country in my lifetime - the quarantine, everything, so silly." The doctor then goes on to explain how he believes that wearing a mask is a "political thing" as opposed to "scientific." "I don't really think we're doing science, I think we're doing politics," Dunn said before making it clear that he does not blame President Donald Trump for that. most read in us news‘HORRIFIC PAIN’BLM activist 'loses testicle when scrotum hit...
Former Acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal asked on MSNBC Wednesday why Congress needs to wait for a few more weeks to hear from Attorney General Bill Barr. Barr is expected to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on July 28th, news that came today amid the committee’s hearing featuring testimony from a top Roger Stone prosecutor who said the approach to his sentencing was politicized because of his connection to the president. Katyal spoke with Chuck Todd on how stunning it was to hear the testimony of Aaron Zelinsky’s and others about the concerns they had regarding the Trump DOJ. “You’re right to say, yes, that Barr has said today he’s going to testify on July 28th. I’ll believe it when I see it,” Katyal said. “This guy’s been scared to go to the Hill and testify in the House for months and months and months. He sets testimony and then he backs down. And you know, the idea we have to wait five weeks for his testimony, after hearing what we heard today? After seeing all of the...
UFC: Geoff Neal returns to waiting tables due to lack of fights available By: Daniel Cunningham June 24, 2020 ShareTweet0 SharesOne of the most exciting fights in the UFC’s welterweight division has returned to his second job due to a lack of fights. Geoff “Handz of Steel” Neal (13-2) is currently sitting on the sidelines waiting for a fight. The 11th ranked welterweight in the world has been an absolute monster since making his UFC debut, but unfortunately, the promotion cannot get him a fight. With a lack of income coming in, Neal has had to take up a job as a server at a steakhouse in Texas. “I tell people I’m in purgatory in my career. I’m ranked number 11, not in the top 10 yet. I don’t have a big following behind me, so everybody that I want to fight doesn’t want to fight me because I’m a big risk. I’m somebody who knocks people out so I’m dangerous for their stock. New York — The moment of Bernd Leno’s appalling injury. Photo:Gareth Fuller / Pool / . After three inactive months for the break in the Premier League, it is normal that many players are not physically one hundred percent, being exposed to injuries like the one that happened this weekend to the German goalkeeper of Arsenal, Bernd Leno. In this Saturday’s meeting between Brighton and Arsenal, the blue and white team sent a ball to the Gunners’ area and Leno went out to catch it. When the goalkeeper had the ball in his hands, rival striker Neal Maupay pushed him with his hip, causing the goalkeeper to stomp and suffering a chilling injury to his right knee.
