Getty New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll has responded to Kenny Golladay's request for more playing time. One day after New York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay went public with his desire to receive more playing time, head coach Brian Daboll has responded. Brian Daboll on Kenny Golladay:"I’ve been in the NFL a long time. I don’t know that I’ve ever been part of any team where someone’s not happy about something. I have great respect for Kenny. I’m glad he’s not happy he didn’t play, that shows competitiveness.'' — Paul Schwartz (@NYPost_Schwartz) September 22, 2022 “I’ve been in the NFL a long time,” Daboll said, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. “I don’t know that I’ve ever been part of any team where someone’s not happy about something. I have great respect for Kenny. I’m glad he’s not happy he didn’t play, that shows competitiveness.” In Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, Golladay started and played a total of 46 snaps (77 percent of New York’s offensive snaps). He was targeted just twice in...
If your child is bored, it may be tempting to hand over the iPad, but a new study may encourage you to reach for a doll instead. Researchers from Cardiff University have revealed that children talk more about others' thoughts and emotions when playing with dolls than with electronic devices. According to the team, speaking about others' internal states allows children to practice key social skills, and is beneficial for emotional development. Dr Sarah Gerson, who led the study, said: 'When children create imaginary worlds and role play with dolls, they communicate at first out loud and then internalize the message about others' thoughts, emotions and feelings. 'This can have positive long-lasting effects on children, such as driving higher rates of social and emotional processing and building social skills like empathy that can become internalized to build and form lifelong habits.' Researchers from Cardiff University have revealed that children talk more about others' thoughts and emotions when playing with dolls than with electronic devices What is internal state language? Internal state language (ISL) is when children talk about what they’re thinking...
Lightyear Trailer: Chris Evans Voices a New Take on Iconic Toy Story Space Ranger Gold futures move higher as dollar, stocks and yields retreat © Provided by NBC Sports Replay Video SETTINGS OFF HD HQ SD LO Skip Ad With several injuries to their edge rushers, the Broncos needed a boost at the position. So they acquired Stephen Weatherly from the Vikings for a seventh-round pick in the 2022 draft. Weatherly wasn’t playing much with Minnesota after signing with the club as a free agent in the offseason. After he was limited to nine starts due to injury with the Panthers last year, Weatherly appeared in just 20 percent of Minnesota’s defensive snaps this season before the trade. He recorded nine total tackles with one for loss. Weatherly is making a quick transition from a 4-3 defensive end in Minnesota to a 3-4 outside linebacker with Denver. He told reporters on Tuesday that he’s been meeting with position coach John Pagano to get him started and he wants to be a “sponge” when it comes to being around Von...
RAHEEM STERLING is open to a move away from Manchester City if he is not given assurances of regular football. And the England ace says playing abroad is still something that appeals to him amid interest from Barcelona and others. 2Manchester City could lose Raheem Sterling if he does not get regular minutes at the EtihadCredit: Reuters SunSport revealed on Tuesday that the former Liverpool man, 26, has put contract talks on hold at the Etihad after a difficult few months. Sterling has less than two years left on his existing deal and wants to know how much he will play before committing to a new one. The star is happy to adapt to playing as a striker for City, rather than his normal left-wing role — but needs game time to improve in that position. Three-time Prem title winner Sterling said: “If there was the option to go somewhere else for more game time, I would be open to it. “Football is the most important thing to me — challenges that I have set myself from a young age...
Getty New York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims gets a first down on October 10, 2021. We’ve done a ton of Denzel Mims coverage in 2021. The New York Jets’ second-rounder from a year ago has not received playing time in Mike LaFleur’s offense, which is odd considering the franchise’s situation. They’re in the midst of a rebuild and the coaching staff has emphasized developing the youth. The Baylor product should be included in that category but instead, it’s felt like the team has made a concerted effort to keep him off the field. A recent Jeff Smith concussion has helped Mims find his way onto the active gameday roster, but that hasn’t exactly solved the issue. Snaps and targets are still few and far between for the second-year player and that means his opportunities are limited. During the first half of the 27-20 Week 5 defeat in London, Mims was riding the bench once again when a teammate publicly advocated for him to receive more looks. Animation game players take part in the 2021 ChinaJoy, July 30, 2021, in Shanghai, China.Costfoto | Barcroft Media | Getty Images Kids and teens under 18 years old in China will only be allowed up to three hours per week to play online video games, according to new rules published by China's National Press and Publication Administration Monday. The move is a fresh blow to the country's gaming giants from Tencent to NetEase which have dealt with an onslaught of regulation this year in areas from anti-monopoly to data protection. That has spooked investors and wiped billions of dollars of value off of Chinese tech stocks. According to a translated notice about the new rules, people under 18 in China will be allowed one hour a day between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays and on legal holidays to play video games. The agency billed the rules as a way to safeguard children's physical and mental health. The rules will apply to companies providing online game services to minors, limiting their ability to serve those users outside...
Following Draymond Green’s ejection early in Thursday’s loss to the New York Knicks, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr looked down his bench as his team was reeling, disorganized and in need of a boost. Kerr called on Nico Mannion, the 19-year-old rookie who had yet to play a meaningful regular-season minute, to help replace the ball-handling and passing lost when Green picked up a second technical foul in the second quarter and was sent to the locker room. This could have come as a surprise, but Warriors coaches in private have been raving about Mannion, praising the young point guard’s basketball IQ, humble approach and natural passing ability. “The ball just moves when he’s on the floor,” Kerr said of Mannion. “I went with him after we lost Draymond because I just felt like I should throw our next best passer out there, and that’s him.” Related Articles 2021 NBA draft primer: Looking ahead to potential Warriors picks Steph Curry is second to only “Jesus Shuttlesworth” on 3-point list Warriors searching...

Twice he flicked the ball into the path of veteran Spanish midfielder Juan Mata. But former Chelsea ace Mata was unable to slide the ball past onrushing Hornets keeper Daniel Bachmann for what would have been an incredible team goal. Fans were quick to praise the move as one said: "Exquisite stuff. What was needed against City." Despite the touches of brilliance from former Ajax fan favourite Van de Beek, not everyone was convinced by his...
Jalen Hurts might see more playing time in the next few weeks for the Philadelphia Eagles. The Philadelphia Eagles are still technically in first place in the NFC East, but there is very minimal going right around that organization, as the regression of Carson Wentz has been simply shocking. While Doug Pederson has remained steadfast in his commitment to starting Wentz and keeping second-round pick Jalen Hurts on the bench, Wentz’s play in a loss against the Cleveland Browns has Pederson rethinking that decision. Per Pro Football Talk, Pederson thinks that he could start to “get [Hurts] in the game a little bit more”, as the second-round pick has spent most of his rookie season on the bench. If Carson Wentz keeps struggling, Doug Pederson might be forced to turn to Jalen HurtsThe former Alabama and Oklahoma star has been used almost exclusively as a gadget player, as he has just 31 offensive snaps to his name. He has 12 carries for 56 yards to his name as well as one catch for three yards. He has completed both his attempted passes,...

By Matthew Geagan, CBS Boston BOSTON (CBS) — Through the deluge and all of those bodies crashing into each other throughout Sunday night’s Patriots win over the Ravens, you probably noticed that you were seeing a lot of Chase Winovich. Normally it’s not a big deal when you see a lot of a football player playing football, but for Winovich, playing time has been no guarantee this season. The edge man/linebacker has never been an every-down player for the New England defense in his brief career with the Patriots, but it was alarming to see Winovich become a barely-any-down player over the last month. His drastic decline in playing time was attributed to New England’s game-plan defense, and during those weeks, Wino just wasn’t in the team’s plans. But given New England’s lack of depth at inside linebacker and Baltimore’s run-heavy offense, Winovich was very much in the plans Sunday evening. And the second-year player delivered with an impressive evening, showing everyone that he is up to the challenge to not only play every down, but also fill in on...
BOSTON (CBS) — No one on the Patriots’ offense did much of anything during Sunday’s 33-6 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. But one receiver that we haven’t seen much of was one of the few bright spots from the defeat, and likely earned himself some extra playing time in the process. Jakobi Meyers didn’t have much of a role in the New England offense entering Week 7, sitting behind everyone on the depth chart. But he played 79 percent of the offensive snaps against the 49ers and made the most of all of that run, hauling in four receptions off six targets for 60 yards. All four of those receptions moved the chains for New England, and two of them went for over 20 yards. There’s a good chance that we’ll see more of Meyers as the Patriots offense tries to sort things out going forward. “Of course, good production is always relative to more playing time,” Bill Belichick said of Meyers on Monday. Meyers could have had an even bigger day, but the two passes that he and...
Woman says she was fired from Whataburger for wearing Black Lives Matter mask America’s most historic fast food joints These methods will make screen time more enriching for your kids Colleen Russo Johnson is the co-founder and chief scientist at The OK Company (makers of OK Play). This story originally featured on Working Mother. © Provided by Popular Science It’s time to realize that screen time is not a bad thing. Screen time: a term that has sadly become loaded with guilt and shame. Working parents have enough pressure on themselves, and the last thing they need is added stress about their child’s screen use. Load Error For parents everywhere, screen time has now taken on a different meaning altogether. The COVID-19 pandemic has clearly demonstrated that screens are a vital part of our lives. Screens have allowed adults to stay employed, children to continue learning, everyone to find a much needed entertainment break, and, of course, families to stay connected with loved ones. Let's focus on how screen time can be used as a tool for good. How...
NFL coaches rarely are as blunt as Anthony Lynn was Monday. The Chargers boss came out and said Justin Herbert isn’t ready to start full time in the NFL. He’s not sold even after the rookie quarterback played like a starter in place of Tyrod Taylor (chest, ribs), who was a late scratch Sunday. “I thought he came in and gave us a chance to win,” Lynn said in a briefing with reporters (per The Athletic, subscription required). “But there’s a lot that you don’t know. There’s a lot that we didn’t get done with Justin on the field (Sunday). He’s a backup for a reason. He’s a rookie and there’s a lot that he needs to learn about this game.” SN WEEK 3 POWER RANKINGS: Chiefs up top after 2-0 start Fair enough. Herbert sabotaged his team with a bad interception. But here’s a question: What part of “completed 66.7 percent of his passes, averaged 9.4 yards per attempt and had just the one turnover and two sacks in 79 snaps in his first professional action, all against the reigning Super Bowl champs” does...
Getty Eagles CB Cre'Von LeBlanc signed a one-year, $1.3 million deal with Philly in 2019. The Eagles were supposed to have the two best slot cornerbacks in football. Problem is, only one is playing. Nickell Robey-Coleman saw 41 defensive snaps in Week 2, the third-most number among Philly corners. Cre’Von LeBlanc? He saw just three total snaps. Look, LeBlanc lost the nickel corner job in camp — to be fair, he didn’t get many opportunities with the first team — and never complained about it. In fact, the 26-year-old had to deal with briefly being cut on Sept. 6 and not being told about it. He returned one day later, with no hard feelings. On Monday, LeBlanc took to Twitter to seemingly express some frustration on his lack of playing time. The undrafted kid out of Florida Atlantic was under the impression he’d see looks in nickel packages, maybe even a few snaps on the outside as he did during his breakout 2018 campaign. It hasn’t panned out that way for LeBlanc and he wondered aloud when all his...
