Former National Security Advisor John Bolton admitted on Tuesday that he has helped stage coups in other countries, like the failed one in Venezuela. Bolton made the astonishing admission in an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper as he denied claims that the January 6 riot was an attempted coup-d'etat. 'It's not an attack on our democracy,' Bolton said of the Capitol riot. 'It's Donald Trump looking after Donald Trump. It's a once in a lifetime occurrence.' But Tapper countered his claims, noting: 'One does not have to be brilliant to plan a coup.' 'I disagree with that as someone who helped plan coups d'etat, not here, but in other places, it takes a lot of work,' Bolton responded in the episode of The Lead. 'And that's not what he did.' Instead, Bolton said the former president 'was just stumbling around from one idea to another, and ultimately he did unleash the rioters at the Capitol, as to that, there's no doubt, but not to overthrow the Constitution to buy more time to throw the matter back to the states and try...
A manager at the Buffalo supermarket where 10 people were shot dead by a white supremacist has told of the moment she saw one victim being shot before her eyes.  'I ran around the front of the building, experienced someone get shot, and ran around the back to get my daughter,' Tops Market operations manager Shonnell Harris said of Saturday's massacre. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 911 call about a fake $20 bill led to George Floyd’s deadly encounter with police. The U.S. Secret Service determined the bills were fake. And he says criminals have found more sophisticated ways to fake it. “There’s techniques where I can bleach the ink off of that genuine bill and then reprint a higher denomination like a $20,...

ANTON: I know some people don’t like the fact players and coaches take the knee but for me that’s a positive because it keeps the conversation going. It sparks conversations too. A young boy or girl might be watching football and it might be the first time they’ve seen someone take the knee. If they ask their parents, “Why are they doing that?”, that’s powerful. David Letterman is catching some backlash on social media over a resurfaced interview with Lindsay Lohan in which he seemingly mocked her for going to rehab. The interview was from a 2013 episode of "The Late Show" in which the star was on hand to talk about her new movie and TV project ahead of a very public stint in rehab. The troubled star had been in and out of treatment since 2007 amid a flurry of public gaffes and addiction issues. On Saturday, a Twitter user named Trey Taylor uploaded a video showing excerpts from the interview in which Letterman seems to go off-book and makes light of Lohan’s addiction despite her clearly becoming uncomfortable.  "Aren’t you supposed to be in rehab now?" the host asks. "Do you not watch anything that goes on?" a seemingly annoyed Lohan tells him. "What are you a tabloid now?" DAVID LETTERMAN'S WOMEN TROUBLES Despite her frustration, Letterman continues to press Lohan, asking repeated questions like "How long will you be in rehab?" "How many times have you been in rehab?" and "How...
Arizona Republican State Rep. John Fillmore compared non-cisgendered people to chickens during a House Government and Elections Committee meeting Wednesday, KPNX reports. "I don't believe that we as a society should have all of the different binaries identified," Fillmore said. "What’s going to happen when someday someone wakes up and they want to go to a far extreme and identify as a chicken or something for crying out loud. Where do we draw the line?" Fillmore made the comments while explaining his proposed bill, which would limit gender identification options to male or female on any documentation issued by any state agency, board, commission or department. If someone has successfully completed a sex change from one gender to another, they could then change their gender identity on their documentation, Fillmore argued. Should House Bill 2725 pass, gender non-confirming Arizona residents won't have a proper identity option in their documentation. This comment from Rep. Fillmore shook @MoganMegan to her core. “What’s going to happen when someone, someday wakes up and they want to go to a far extreme and identify as a chicken.” HB2725...
The New Yorker has shared some stunning new video from the violent storming of the Capitol on January 6th, captured by reporter Luke Mogelson. Mogelson followed people who were angrily clashing with police outside and went into the building. One individual inside the building told an officer, “You’re outnumbered. There’s a fucking million of us out there, and we are listening to Trump, your boss!” Mogelson captured footage of people chanting “treason” at least twice, and even caught one person saying, “Where the fuck is Nancy?” Mogelson even followed some of them into the Senate chamber. There’s one moment in the video where they appear to have found Ted Cruz’s objection to the election results in Arizona, with one individual saying “he’s with us.” At another point someone says, “I think Cruz would want us to do this. I think we’re good.” The video also confirms that one individual left a note on Pence’s desk in the Senate chamber that read, “It’s only a matter of time, justice is coming.” Mogelson later went to another entrance where people were...
I'm a straight man who’s been dating a woman for not quite four months. In the beginning things were light. But things started to get heavy quickly. Two weeks in she revealed her very serious abandonment issues and then began asking me whether I really loved her and demanding reassurance that I wasn’t going anywhere and that she wouldn’t be “just a single chapter” in my life. After a month, I met her seven-year-old son, her parents, and her ex. Then we had a pregnancy scare. She told me that if she was pregnant she would keep it because then I would have to stay. That alarmed me. I voiced that we’d been dating for a very short time and this wasn’t a good time for either of us to have a child. She wasn’t pregnant, luckily. Even before this incident, my body had started to manifest signs of anxiety—upset stomach, sleepless nights, loss of appetite, etc. So, I summoned up all of my courage (conversations like this are extremely difficult for me) and told her that I couldn't do this anymore....
If you had told us that in the near future, a face mask would be a fashion trend, we would have laughed. But, alas, it is slowly becoming one. But even more so, there are a lot of brands making face masks that you can buy that are more comfortable than those cheap one’s you might’ve sewn yourself or gotten at the store. And, even better, many of these brands are donating masks to people who might need them more than you. Because there is just so much going on right now, we’ve rounded up some brands we love, making masks we love, too.  The Mask 1.0 (Two Pack)
